I booked the below Ticket from Delhi-Mumbai and MakeMyTrip confirmed cash back of 50% on basic freight will be reimburse but after 55 days the amount has not been credited. they are cheated to the clients

i bought great india vouchers via transaction id 8997119. the information provided me at the time of purchase was totally wrong and misguided to me. so i registered a complaint to ms. neha on[protected] but reply from her unsatisfactory. then i registered a complaint via makemytrip website Reference ID: [[protected]] great india festival offer scheme so far no response from them. i was told that your welcome kit will reach in 20 days but not yet received also.

Make My Trip — WRONG COMMITMENT

COMPLAINT REGARDING HOTEL [Reference:[protected]
We paid approximately RS330000/- which included RS 125000/- extra to make my trip for getting a package with a 3 star hotel.When we reached leh the company had booked us in a ordinary hotel.
In spite of several followups company's management have not paid any attention to our complaint.

    I had booked the air tkt for my parents from cok to del by MakeMyTrip Booking ID FLT[protected] and
    PNR Number WTQJLQ on 4 Mar 2009 with travel date of 07 Mar 09. However due to some reasons the travel had to be cancelled. I cancelled the tkt on 06 Mar 2009 atleat 13 hrs before the commencement of journey. It appeared on the screen after cancellation that a sum of Rs 2000.00 has been deducted. Then I made fresh booking vide id FLT[protected] for 12 mar by the same flt. It is submitted the money for previous booking has not been refunded till date. I made lot of attempt to get the matter soughted out with the make my trip agency but they are totally silent..they are asking for a confirmation mail but i had not received any confirmation mail . I got a pop up on the screen at the time of cancellation. Pse help me out. AN amount of atlest 8, 000 is required to be refunded

    make my trip should refund. write to press and newspaper. especiallt aaj tak etc. tell them about the things these people do. at least other people will be saved. make my trip should close. i have lot of complaints.
    This is with respect to makemytrip booking id NF[protected]

    The trip was cancelled for different sets of passengers.

    Both the refunds are not received as on 3rd July 2011

    We have made numberous calls to the service provider there is no sign of any refund coming to our account. Every call we are informed that the refund is initiated the previous day.

    Is there a way we can get our money back from them.

      Dear Public,

      I booked a flight ticket for my friend from Malaysia to chennai (including return) through makemytrip.com .It was in Malaysian Airlines. The ticket fare to and fro was INR 20, 009(including tax). while selecting the flight in the fare details it clearly showed that this particular ticket is a refundable e-ticket. By seeing that only I made the payment because my plan was subjected to change at any time. I got a confirmation receipt showing for my payment, in which it shows it a refundable ticket and I took a print out of it. In general, the traveling person will get a confirmation mail from both the travel agent (makemytrip.com) as well as from the Malaysian airlines regarding the confirmation payment and the e-ticket confirmation. There was no where mentioned in the email stating that it is non-refundable ticket.

      When my plan got change and when I was about the make the cancellation, the makemytrip.com people said this is a non-refundable ticket and no money will be paid from their side. I mailed them the proof regarding the screen shot taken at the time of booking as well as the e-ticket and clearly made them understand that there is a dispute in this issue. The customer care people responded me that they will be forwarding this email to their higher authority and I will get the response from them.

      To be frank, their services is very very poor and they make passengers to wait before attending the call while calling the customer care people regarding some issue. And please be aware of their advertisement fare details because it has got no relevance with the airline people. My colleagues too faced the same problem it seems when we discussed about this.

      Makemytrip.com people say that Rs. 20, 009 INR is not refundable and both the ticket is of waste when not traveled.

      I hope this Complaints Board will help me in getting my money back by intimating this issue to the makemytrip.com people. And please make people aware of this issue before paying money to them.

        Solution of your complaint Refunding the extra amount they charged and give a penalty amount for the discomfort provided by MMT
        What action would you take, if your problem is not solved I will raise my voice on different forum and will escalate to maximum possible level and even if the problem is not solved then I will go to consumer court. Its not a matter of few rupees but feeling cheated.

          I am writing this letter with the motive to inform people who are planning to take any kind of services from Make My Trip in India or abroad. Also I would like to urge all of you to bring it to the attention of every possible reader/viewer etc.

          In the below passages I will write in detail about my experience with this pathetic organization and how people involved in this organization mislead innocent customers and manipulate things.

          I am an NRI based in Dubai and was looking for a holiday package to Europe for a week’s duration. After going through many advertisements in the newspapers and websites I finally found a trip “European Highlights” being offered by makemytrip.com.

          This package was offered on their India website. Since I am based in Dubai I contacted their India office through their online chat option. I was serviced by a chat operator “Jiteneder Sharma”. He told me that I can avail the same offer from Dubai as well as they have an office in Dubai. This office in Dubai is by the name of Apollo Flight Centre.

          The very next day I called up Apollo Flight Center to enquire about the said package. I was serviced by a lady called “Gertrude”, she asked me to visit their UAE based website makemytrip.ae for further details. On visiting the site I got the below information:

          Package Name – European Highlights
          Price - USD 1499 per person on twin sharing basis.
          Duration - 6 nights and 7 days.
          Departure Date - 25 July, 2009

          (Information as published on their website is saved in the document attached.)

          The above package included the Air Fare, Hotel Accommodation, Sight Seeing, Meals and Guided Tours etc.

          The above details suited my requirement; hence I contacted Ms Gertrude from Apollo Flight Centre to give me the final quote for 4 adults and 3 infants so that I can book the package. And this is where the whole PROBLEM started.

          This lady was completely IGNORANT of the package/process and for more than a week she kept giving me different quotes and prices. Every time I used to ask for any additional information regarding the package, her previous quote would change without any reason. On asking why the rate has changed, she would have no answer. This was getting very irritating and confusing for myself. During all this confusion I was contacted by the General Manager (Malco Rodriguez) of Apollo Flight Cetnter. He himself apologized for the incorrect information being provided by his staff and assured me that in a day or two he will personally provide me with all the services that I require.

          In spite of talking to the GM of Apollo Flight Centre, there was no progress and for more than 10 days I still did not had a quote of the package.

          Gone through all this and still waiting, I decided to bring it to the notice of the CEO(Deepak Kalra) of makemytrip.com, hoping that things would get streamlined.

          I wrote my complete incident to Mr. Deepak Kalra (CEO, makemytrip.com) and copied Mr. Malco Rodriguez (GM, Apollo Flight Centre). Within half an hour I received a call from Mr. Malco. He tried to pacify me and apologized for everything that had gone wrong. I would like to quote his words here “Mr. Kashyap, I would not be able to sleep until and unless I resolve your matter”.

          Mr. Malco asked me for a day’s time to resolve the issue. The next day I got a call from him that he had finalized the prices and everything but he would require another 2-3 hours to confirm on the departure dates. I had started to feel comfortable that now the things are speeding up but I was wrong. There was no communication from him since then till date.

          Another 2-3 days passed and time was running. I had no clue what was going on as no one was in a position to help me out here. It had been approximately 15 days and till date I did not had the quote.

          Seeing no response again from makemytrip.com Dubai office, I wrote to Mr. Deepak Kalra (CEO, makemytrip.com) again.

          This time I was contacted over the email by Ms Geeta Eral (customer service Manager India, makemytrip.com). She apologized for all the inconvenience that I had to go through because of makemytrip.com and assured me that she will get back to me on resolving the issue ASAP. She also mentioned that I can write back to her for any issue directly.I thought that this time something will happen and I will finally be able to book a package for my family and friends but as earlier I was wrong.

          Ms Geeta did not replied to me for another 2-3 days . I was wondering what is happening on my issue. On writing back to Ms Geeta for the status on my issue, I got a reply that we are working out on the departure dates and it would take another 3-4 days for finalizing the same. I got really very irritated . I was unable to understand what were they trying to finalize. Everything that a customer needed was mentioned on their advertisement banner on their website. I was not asking for a customized package for myself but what was mentioned on their website. I wrote back to Ms Geeta (copying the CEO) strongly that why it is taking so long to book a package which is advertised on your website. I even asked her to let me know if their company was not in a position to offer the package as advertised on their website. I got no reply from her.

          It had been around 20 days that I have been breaking my head with fools in makemytrip.com but no resolution. After 20 days later I am being contacted by Mr. Manoj Gagwani (Head International Business India, makemytrip.com).

          As usual he apologized and gave me the same stories which I have heard from Mr. Malco and Ms Geeta Eral. He asked me to give him 2-3 days and he will finalize everything and get back to me.

          Even after a week there was no response from the so called Head – International Business of makemytrip.com I completely understood that they are just trying to fool customers and not in a position to offer what they have stated on their website.

          I wrote my last mail to the CEO by copying all the above people with whom I have corresponded with. I clearly wrote that I will be highlighting this whole incident to the relevant authorities in India and UAE so that innocent customers are not cheated.

          In the end I would like to strongly highlight/summarize the below points:

          Staff working in makemytrip.com unaware/ignorant of what their company is advertising.
          Serious training issues with staff in makemytrip.com.
          Service level of makemytrip.com is far below the standards.
          Misleading information being published on their website as well as brochures.
          Unable to provide what is being promised in the advertisements. Which is an offense in the eyes of the law.
          Lot of hidden cost not told to the customer at the time on enquiry, that is the reason prices keep changing everytime.
          Cheating Indian as well as foreign customers by their planned nexus.


          It is my kind request to take this incident seriously and strong action needs to be taken against such organizations who are looting customers money, breaking all the laws and still in business.

          I might be one of such thousand customers who had been mislead by makemytrip.com. But as being a responsible citizen it becomes my duty to highlight these issues to the public.

          tried to book over the site makemytrip.com. After repeated tries and using 3 different credit cards, I could not book the tkt. as it kept on giving me error "Unauthorised user". Hence I decided to book the ticket over phone.
          Over phone I had a word with Ms. Kanika Bhasin who gave the information that the ticket ot Mumbai from Delhi would cost me Rs. 2999. I asked her to book the ticket.However when the payment part came in she asked me to provide my Credit card No., Expiry date & CVV no. to her.
          I asked her to route me to IVR system, biut she said that they do not have one and all the customers are supposed to provide this info orally to booking agent.
          When I asked her would she provide such critical information about her own card to others, She replied "NO".
          I am surprised to know how can they ask for such confidential information. I beleive this is absurd and Illegal too. How come we are allowing such operators to function at all.
          Please have a look at it ASAP.This is pure Fraud.

          Never trust makemytrip.com's fares if it is lower than other sources. They are cheats and do not deliver what they confirm repeatedly. On Nov 18 2008, I paid makemytrip.com for two airline tickets (Air Inida) with my america express credit card. I was given a confirmation number and a booking reservation number. The price was almost $350 (each ticket) less than another two ticket which I bought the previous day. After 'makemytrip.com' confirmed via email and said that they will issue the ticket as soon as they get the letter of despatch, I cancelled the other tickets with the same airline. I have got the refund and the airlines has charged the service charges of $100.00. It has been more than 48 hours since I made the payments and they haven't issued the tickets. Each representative that I am talking to is giving a different reason and asking for 1 hour to issue the tickets and promising to call me up as well. They never call, but when I call up I get a new representative and he/she gives a new excuse. One rep. says that there's a problem with fare, the other rep says there's an internal problem which is causing the delay. Until now everbody has been saying that I should not worry at all; that I should have patience and that the tickets are confirmed and will be issued soon. When I ask for the representative with whom I spoke the last time, they do not pass the phone and hang up. I kept my patience so far and see the airline prices go up in the airline website itself. However, this morning (today is Friday) when I called them up, the representative says that the fare has expired and there is a problem with charging the credit card as the number was not inserted in the system properly. When I asked if they ever tried to use the card then she says "no" contrary to what she said before. Now they are asking me to buy the same tickets at a higher rate or change to another airline. I am very frustrated because of the fact that they were dishonest everytime that I spoke to them, took all my personal information although they did not want to issue the ticket. They caused me to lose the $100 and a good fare that I got (the current fares are even higher than before). I do not know whether they are going to use my personal information (passposrt, driver's license and credit card) for any other fraud or criminal activities. I will cancel my credit card, but what an I do about my passport and driving license? I am scared that they may be involved with fraudulently acquiring such personal information. I feel that the lower fare was a scam. I request someone to take appropriate action so that they may not cause grief and tension and loss to others.

          Dear all

          Please stay away from this website. I booked my ticket from makemytrip.com for the travel from Hyderabad to Los angeles for myself and 2 little kids. I paid the ticket amount through my credit card and got confirmation email for the tickets. PLEASE NOTE : I also got e tickets through email.

          I reconfirmed my ticket 48 hours before. As I got everything confimed, I went to the airport with all the luggage and kids. To my surprise the ticket got VOIDED. That meant I could not travel as my ticket was cancelled by MAKEMYTRIP.COM. TICKETS WERE CANCELLED BY ISSUING TICKET COMPANY i.e. MAKE MY TRIP.COM. I dont know the reason.

          I was mentally torched for complete 3 hours before the travel. With the grace of god I started 5 hours before my travel as it is international travel and flight was at early morning 4 o clock.

          Can you expect this kind of mental agony before travelling that too when we pay our tickets and got email for etickets and later on got cancelled by ticket issuing company in this case it is makemy trip.com. You can imagine my situation with kids and luggage.

          Please, please stay away from this website. With great difficulty I was able to make my travel with the help of airport personnel and airlines people. But this is unpleasant thing before travelling. I did not get a tiny sorry from makemytrip.com. They are hopeless. There cannot be mistakes when they book tickets. If they cannot do right way then they should be away of these kinds of business. As it needs 100% accuracy. There is no customer service. They dont even know the meaning of it.           I (Ms. Chanchal Gupta) had made a booking by "MAKEMYTRIP" on 17/06/2009 (thru net banking) in hotel NEW MAMTA, SRINAGAR for 19/06/2009 till 21/06/2009 for Two Rooms with 3 persons in each room. When I reached there on 20/06/2009 in the hotel NEW MAMTA at Srinagar for check in I got to know that there is no such booking in the hotel with my name. I was shocked and again asked them to check with the voucher no. but they could not be able to found the same with the voucher number or by the name. I felt so embarassed at that time as my relatives were with me who at me as I am lie with the hotel authorities. Then, I called up the MAKEMYTRIP people that there is no such booking in the hotel and need to spend atleast Rs. 50 - Rs. 100 on phone calls, then after 2 hours there executive Mr. Ajayja visited the place and then he told the receptionist that yes we took the booking in the hotel by the name of Ms. Chanchal Gupta. I had a conversation with him at that time if there is no booking in the hotel for the said period why I need to pay you the entire booking amount for 2 days. He said if you will not check in today then you got the entire amount to be refunded. Then I didn't checked in the hotel and asked them to refund my entire amount. But later they refund only 1 day booking amount to me. After coming back to Delhi, I had spoken to Ms. Sonali over the customer care number for more than 1 hour who told me that I am taking complaint against complaint no - IN0906R0056697on 26/06/2009, where she told me that she will respond me within 72 hours. But I didn't receive any response from her. Again, I called the same no. where I had spoken to Mr. Sukhjinder against that complaint no., he reverted me with the reply that we can refund only 1 day amount to you. Then, I asked him for the explanation that when I checked in the hotel there was booking in the hotel on 20/06/2009, So it means there was no booking in the hotel for 19/06/2009 also. So, if there was no booking in the hotel why I need to pay you the amount. Then hen said Madam that amount can not refunded. When I told him if your company would not refund the amount then I must need to go to Consumer Forum as I have been cheated by you, also I was mentally and physically harrassed by you people and also it had effected my image in front of my relatives. Then he said, Madam pls. go ahead we have seen many such consumer forum cases. We will not refund the amount at any cost.

          With the very high difficulty I was able to arrange my trip and was able to took the leaves after one and a half year's time. I had planned a very good trip with my family where I can enjoy and can relax myself. But makemytrip had made it too bad and purpose to take the leaves got defeated and it had ruin my entire family's trip.

          Kindly take the necessary action against the company and pay me the amount of Rs. 50000/-, Physical and mental harrassement by the company and also to spoil the my image in front of my relatives.

          I am hereby enclosing the confirmation receipt of the booking, cancellation of booking and the refund amount.

          1) Agent on phone provided confirmation that air-line will be responsible for my airport transfer from Newark to LaGuardia. 2) Agen confirmed that tickets were refundable and changable.           Makemytrip.com — Silently changing amount charged at the end of a transaction

          Sir/Madam,

          I booked air tickets from makemytrip.com for travel from lucknow to bangalore via delhi. initially, the fare was Rs 5664 (the lowest that their website showed). the same amount was shown post selection. however, after confirmation and during the final credit card transaction, the amount had changed to Rs. 6264 per ticket.

          How was the transaction valid after this change? this is like fooling a customer, by initiating a transaction with one amount and changing it silently in the middle! additionally, the payment page shows the final amount in small fonts in a corner while most of the webpage is full of bright and large 'payment options'. Is this deliberately intended to divert a customer's attention? Furthermore, the final amount comes with the following messge "Note: The promotional discounts(if any), will be reflected in the confirmation page." ... what does this mean to the customer? that this amount is not the final one, but once you have made the payment, you will see that you are paying less!! this is so wrong ... this is deliberate fraud.

          please take some action to control the way they mislead consumers.

          Hotel Le - Marlin, Hotel Royal Castle, MakeMyTrip — Cheated by Hotels

          I had booked a hotel room at Le-Marlin Hotel, East of Kailash, Delhi, via makemytrip.com and had made the payment online. On reaching the hotel, I was told that the hotel is already full and they will put me in a different hotel. I thought that this was a blessing in disguise as Le-Marlin was a much worse place that what was projected by makemytrip.com. However, my joy was short lived as I was taken to a far off place and was asked to check into Royal Castle. I was shocked to see the condition of the room I was made to stay into. The room was filthy and was smelling o[censored]rine. I called makemytrip for help, but they were not able to help me in this hour of crisis. Being late in the night, I had no choice, but to take the room. But this proved to be a wrong decision as I very uncomfortable during the night. Next morning, during check out, I found that the billing for my room was half of what I had paid to makemytrip. I was made to sign the bill, but was refused a copy of the same. This is pure gundagardi. How can someone refuse me a copy of a document that I was made to sign? I was asked to go to the police if I had a problem. I feel that a better way is to share the experience with prospective customers and help them avoid such situations. Bad people and bad organizations will always be there. It is important to be aware about them.

          MakeMyTrip — Non-issue of paid ticket

          I am Mr.Nitin Behal. I booked an e-ticket from Makemytrip.com. I paid for 2 adults and 1 infant from Mumbai to Bangalore on 8th Nov 2009 by GO AIR through the portal MakeMytrip.com. But when they send me the e-ticket, they didnot send me the e-ticket for infant. And now when I contacted them, they say that I have not paid for the infant ticket so they didnot send me. I want help from you so that I can get this issue solved. You can see in the invoice Amount mentioned is 1999 + 1999 = 4750(which actually includes e-ticket of infant=750). Because 1999 + 1999 is not equal to 4750.


          I can send you a copy of the e-ticket also. Pls give me your e-mail id. I made the payment of the e-ticket through HDFC net banking.

          Can you pls resolve this issue or give me email id where i can complain against Makemytrip. Atleast other people will also come to know about the type of crime these travel portals do.

          Since then, I had sent 3 complaints using their Feedback feature that they have on your website apart from sending 3 mails to Service at make my trip.Till date I haven’t had any response.

          MakeMyTrip — Charging for "Imaginary" Seats

          I attempted to book a flight from the US to India with MakeMyTrip.com. It seemed to be a reputable site with several international logos and verisign at the bottom of the booking page. I had trouble entering the second passenger's name correctly and had to sign into their chat service to speak to a represntative. The representative offered to book the ticket for me by phone. He then told me that the price I was looking at online was an "imaginary price" and that the seat would be unavailable. He stated that he could look and see the real time availability and that there was only a seat for and additional $300. I told him I could still see the orginal seats online and he said if I refreshed the page they would be gone. I refreshed and the seats were still there. He said the website would show these "imaginary prices" and that if I tried to book it my credit card would be charged for the seats and they I would receive an e-mail telling me that the seats were unavailable and they would increase the price. I told him that they couldn't charge a higher price to my credit card than they put on the page and he told me that they would just refund the money for the seat that they knew wasn't there, but it would take 3 days. At this point I asked to speak to a manager. He said that it was late there and a manager would not be in for another hour. I asked then to be transfered to another represntative, which he said he could not do, but that I could resign in to chat online and talk to someone else. So I did.

          The next representative told me that the charge would be due to a computer error and that all sites have them and that they wouldn't be able to refund money. I called my bank to see if I could have a charge from this company declined if they didn't give me a seat and the bank representative told me that she'd never heard of a company charging for a seat they don't have. She said I could file a complaint with the bank.

          I would never give this company my credit card information and I would never refer anyone to them, ever!

          MakeMyTrip — Cancelled the ticked.

          The make my trip people has cancelled one passange ticket out of 3 which I had booked...they dont know how to treat the customers..and they are saying that they are number 1 travle company. Please avoid booking the tickets thru them.
          I have just finalized my two side ticket from India to Singapore. The money has got deducted, but I get Failed Booking Reference.

          MakeMyTrip — makemytrip leaves customer bleeding since 45 days

          Dear Sir,

          I have booked my flight tickets to Chennai from Hyderabad on 25th of Oct online through makemytrip. Payment was processed successfully, post which flashed the message on the screen that only onward reservation got confirmed, while the return ticket could not be processed due to technical problems and the amount would be refunded.

          I am in a state of shock that the amount of Rs. 9795/-is not refunded yet, the 24X7 customer service numbers keeps one waiting to be entertained by automated messages indefinitely. A couple of times in the last 45 days II was lucky enough to get connected to customer support executives, they give a standard message "We apologise for the delay, will put your request on high priority they even give a request number...." they assure that "the amount would be refunded within 3 working days... ". No action has been taken yet on this. The credit card provider is charging me interest on this...Request your immediate attention, intervention and support in this regard .Please find below excerpt from the email from MakeMyTrip in this regard:

          I have tried numerous times to book tickets (Port Blair to Chennai) since 17/12/09 and everytime I had some or the other problem. This morning I tried for the last time, a payment of INR 10056 was collected from my card account and I got an error saying the ticket could not be booked and I will get a refund in 2 business days.
          Now I am in a catch 22 situation with no tickets for my return and no balance on my credit card to book another ticket. I am totally broke and unhappy with the service I have received. I have always preferred MakeMyTrip for all my travels, but with this experience I really have a doubt whether I will continue with them, unless I get some assurance that I will get the tickets for 28-Dec-09.

          I am going for a business trip to China on 02-Jan-10 and I have to report to the office on 29-Dec-09. Due to no error of my own I am going through all these suffering.

          I have tried contacting MakeMyTrip to get a solution to this several times today, but to no avail. I was promised that a manager would call me back within 4 hours, but I did not receive any callbacks. I emailed them at [protected]@makemytrip.com as advised by the customer service representative, but did not receive any acknowledgment. If there is someone who listen to customer complaints please get some solution to this issue as this is extremely urgent.

          MakeMyTrip Gifts And Vouchers — Non deliverance of products

          This is with regards to an offer to which I had subscribed to when I was in India. The tracking id that was provided to me was 4580. I was reluctant to signup to this offer as I was due to travel to The Netherlands in a few days and was very sure that the vouchers and gifts could not be sent to me in time. But the agents from Makemytrip confirmed that they will positively deliver the same to me before I travelled. I made a payment of around Rs 7500/- and was promised to be provided with a few vouchers and gifts (watches). This never turned up when I was in India.

          Now I'm in the Netherlands and I have tried calling up your numbers a few times. I did manage to speak to one Neha Uppal (Telephone number[protected] regarding this. She confirmed that the vouchers have been delivered to me and said she had my signature to prove it.... Well, I have news, I have stamp in my passport proving I was not in India.

          Anyways, she took down my number and address and confirmed that this will be sent to my address in the Netherlands. This too has not happened and its been over a month already. She had provided me with an email address for correspondance ( [protected]@shiftthought.com) but this is bouncing of all the messages I have been sending saying that this is an incorrect address. I have already spend a lot of time and money speaking to various agents in Makemytrip without any joy.

          Funny thing is that I still get spams from makemytrip on a regular basis for selling further products, but when it comes to responding to my genuine concerns, they cant seem to get in touch with me (although they have my email address, my house address and telephone numbers). Could you kindly put me in touch with someone in makemytrip who can help revert the payment that was made.

          MakeMyTrip — swindling in the name of better services

          Dear Sir,

          I booked rail tickets through the latest "Rail" services offered by makemytrip. For certain reasons, I had to cancel the booking. Although the booking cancellation was done well within the cancellation window offered by indian railways, the service provider charged me heavily for the cancellation, in the name of service charges and processing fees.


          Roughly 30% of the ticket charges were reduced in the name of cancellation charges, while the same ticket booked or cancelled through IRCTC would have nominal 10% cancellation charges.

          This is actually a fraud, they charged me Rs.900 on cancellation for 2 tickets whose price was Rs.3000.

          I request you to suggest that what kind of services and how it is allowed that anyone can charge anything by just mentioning T&C.

          Make My Trip Vouchers — Non-Delivery of Vouchers even after lead time of 25 days

          I have been promised on the call that I will be getting the Voucher within 4-5 days but approximately 1 week after the call, I received a mail from Avinash that I will be getting the vouchers posted within 20-25 days.After coming to know this, I have informed that I am not interested and to return the charges but haven't got any confirmation.Now even afte 35-40 days, I have neither got the vouchers nor received my payment back.I have attached the supporting correspondance with this complaint and will be able to send the hard copies if required.I am not at all interested in the vouchers, but would like to ensure that all the charges made to my credit card for the voucher are reversed for this voucher transactions and get my money back from Make My Trip.

          Make My Trip — Refund amount still not credit after 15 days crossed

          I did booked the flight from rajkot to mumbai dated 26th January 2010 thru MAKE MY TRIP however booking was unsuccessfull and amount 7773INR debited from my credit card account and in a few minutes i got a email from MMT that booking is unsuccessfull and amount will be refund within 2 working days however amout not credited in my till 1st feb then i called to customer care dated 1st feb,2010 the assure me that amount will be credit withing 48 hrs due to technical error from there end amount was not in process and he provide me complaint no. that is IN091R0214842. after cross the 48hrs payment not credited in my account then i again called to custmer card dated 5th Feb same reply i got that payment will be refund within 24hrs and again they given me complaint no. then i called again after cross the 24hrs i called again them but as of now payment pending and they are not giving me response.d

          Make My Trip - Bus Service — No refund from MAKE my TRip

          I made a BUS Booking to Baroda-Pune on 22nd December 2009 from Make My Trip. Booking ID: BUS[protected] and the amount they charged me was Rs. 2000. The booking was confirmed on the same day and I received ticket by email from MAKE my TRip. On the 23rd December 2009, I got a call from MMT saying that the Bus is cancelled and they are unable to provide another arrangment and I was told that I will be provided with a refund and was sent a mail confirming the same on the 26th December 2009 by [protected]@makemytrip.com. I got another email from [protected]@ccavenue.com on the 28th December stating that my refund will be processed in the next 5 working days. I called them up many times till date enquiring about the refund and was told by a bus service department that I would be given a call back by their supervisor.I have also send them my account statement 4 times but there was no response and they kept on repeating the same statement of 2-3 days.. Now 40 days are enough time that I had given them.
          i srongly agree with the complaint. Similar is my situation. why their operation will not be banned least common people's sufferings will increase.

          MakeMyTrip — Refund not issued

          Make My Trip had called me in the month of October and told me that as a Privileged customer they will offer a holiday package of worth Rs 9000 for Rs 6600. The call was from a consultant named "Shift Thought".I was told that I will receive the holiday voucher within 21 working days.I was convinced to purchase the vouchers and was made to make the payment through telephone gate way and my credit card was charged of Rs 6700.Now I was promised that all the details provided on phone will be exactly the same and the call is recorded as a proof . Now its been 5 months and I never received the package. Since then I have been trying to contact Make my trip Customers service and every time I am promised a callback which I never received. I am looking forward for a refund as I have no hopes on Make My trip and feel that it would be waste of time and money going for a holiday through Make my Trip.I have spoke to almost all agents and 2 Managers and still no response. I am looking forward for a complete refund and not the vouchers. I am really disappointed and want a immediate action.Please help.

          MakeMyTrip — Telephonic push sells

          A person from makemytrip called and requested me to buy a travel voucher worth 4500/- that can be redeemed for 7500/- in any of their partner hotels. I fell for the trap, bought the voucher and on receiving it learnt that the fineprints are too many and the caller had never bothered to explain them. they included for example a forbidden period (25th dec to 25th jan, the most preferred holiday season), a one month notice and certain excluded places.
          Moreover, when I scheduled a trip and let them know, checked with the hotel to make sure that they have vacancies on the dates I have chosen, makemytrip flatly refused to arrange the trip saying that I have given them 22 days notice instead of 30 days. When I told them that they never explained the 30 day clause to me, they made me write several emails, could not produce a recording of the call they made and then just stopped returning emails.

          Through this forum I hope to give them as much negative publicity as I can. Their trade practises are unfair, fradulent and unethical. They do not record calls while selling stuff (allowing their employees to withhold vitalinformation about their products) , their helpline is unhelpful and dumb and they have scant regard for customer concerns once the sale has been made.

          I have also had a bitter experience with makemytrip.com. I had booked a ticket from Bombay to Bangalore, which was scheduled to leave at 16.40 hrs. When I went to airport at 15.30hrs as per norm, to my surprise and shock, I was told that my flight had already departed at 12.30 hours. When I asked the Spicejet airline people, they told me that they had sent me an e-mail to the email ID provided by makemytrip.com. When I contacted makemytrip.com, they said due to some 'technical failure', they had given a 'WRONG EMAIL address" to the airline. The spicejet airline was also at fault as they did not inform me over phone by sending any SMS or voicemail.

          Did you file any complaint with the Consumer Disputes commission regarding this?

          MakeMyTrip — False booking

          I tried to make a booking with makemytrip for Hotel Suryavilas in Kasauli for 2 rooms on 27 April 2010. They charged me an amount of Rs 34,951 for 2 rooms for 2 nights and 3 days. I got a call from the hotel that they do not have any rooms with them and it is a mistake at makemytrip's end to confirm that booking.

          makemytrip admitted the mistake and then took 3 days time to find me another hotel for which they had initially asked for only a day to process. Then instead of finding me another 5 star (as Suryavilas is a 5 star property), they were giving me 3-star hotel without any discounts. It was upon my bringing it to their notice that they were to refund the remaining amount in the previous booking (Rs 34,951- Rs 18,000= Rs 16,951). To tell me this amount they took another day. They did not do a diligent and honest job of informing the customer that there is a balance which is to be paid back and only upon my mentioning it did they think of working on it.

          Anyways, I cancelled my booking and they were suppose to refund the money to me, which till date has not be refunded. Rather I have been given a false booking id as disclosed by Citi Agent Vikesh on my talk with him on 6 May 2010.
          Definetely the worst service provider in india.

          I am also extremly disturbed because of my serious mistake of trusting fraud & dishonest people of makemytrip . on 1st july 2010 i tried booking international ticket from Delhi to Paris. i tried it using my ICICI internet banking first, but due to some problen during payment the process got hampered and ticket could not be booked, but the amount of 29000 was debited from my ICICI account. On contacting makemytrip i was told that since ticked was not done, i will get this amount back in 24 hours. so trusting these i went ahead and booked new ticket using this time my standard chartered credit card. But after 3 days when i didn't get the amount back, i contacted these [censored]s . they asked for my bankstatement. I got the biggest shock of my life in my reply from some foolish called Parmeet Singh Lamba. According to him since i have booked the ticket so i was charged rightly as my ICICI bank statement shows. He didn't even bother to see that this ticket was booked using Standard Chartered credit card, not ICICI internet banking.           MakeMyTrip — Refund not given even after 1 month

          I booked the railway ticket with MakeMyTrip.com on June 14. They charged the money from my credit card but booking was not confirmed due to some technical reasons according to their mail. I even produced them my credit card statement for the purchase but they are still not refunding the money.

          MakeMyTrip — BOOKING DETAILS UNAVAILABLE

          I booked two flights, one onward and one return journey air tickets from MUMBAI to TRIVANDRUM and one in return on 23rd Dec, 2009. The flights are on 7th Sept, 2010 & 12th Sept, 2010. But now when i am trying to cancel, the booking details are unavailable on the site. I have repeatedly called the Customer Care, but no proper action was taken.
          I had very similar experience. I purchased the International ticket with unlimited free domestic travel promotion. It was false advertisement. Free implies you have to pay taxes and "fee", so fare is reduced to couple of dollars and the taxes +fee is about 98% of the fare. e.g. fare was Rs. 200.00, tax+fee were Rs.4100 approx which is hardly free ticket. However that is besides the point, even to make reservations, I had to write atleast 100 emails, reservations will be confirmed and then lost repeatedly. No one will contact me, I had to call them. Credit card information was lost. There were technicalities after technicalities, they didn't keep records or notes of the phone calls and made up responses per their convenience. I would not recommend this company to anyone. What is CEOs email address? I would like to write to him and forward all the email correspondence..

          I booked a ticket on 10th October 2010 for a flight at 11th October 2010 through makemytrip.com (MakeMyTrip Booking ID - NF[protected]. But due to some circumstances i canceled my ticket on the same day, i.e., 10th October 2010 through makemytrip.com again (Cancellation Number - IN1010R0036943). After the cancellation charges the money i have to get back is Rs. 3,161. They said they will return the money during 7 working days. I got a refund confirmation in my e-mail on 11th October. But it is not reflecting in my account. When i checked in the makemytrip.com. It was shown that the money was refunded on 11th October, But to a different account than what i have used for booking my ticket. I was using an AXIS bank account and it was refunded to the account on HDFC bank,

          I have booked an international flight ticket via makemytrip.com on 24th September. Reference : Booking ID - NN[protected].

          For some reasons I had to cancel my trip, and I have asked makemytrip to cancel the same on 1st oct.

          They have initiated cancellation, and I have received a confirmation email on 01 oct 2010, that I will receive refund of 11500 INR, within 7 days.

          After 10 days they have started telling me, that I will need to reschedule my flight, and cannot cancel the ticket. I have asked them to reschedule the same, but they were unable to do that also.

          Finally, I have not received any money back from them. I have been told that they are working on the case. Feedback received from airlines is that they have not received any cancellation request from makemytrip.com

          If I would have known of such a pathetic service from makemytrip, then I would have booked it directly from airlines.

          I had booked an International air ticket (From Kolkata to Edmonton, Canada) from Make MY Trip on 10th July 2010. ( Booking ID IN1007B03627 ) E Tkt Number # 014 [protected]. I paid 55500 INR by banking transfer from HDFC. I canceled my ticket on 24th July 2010 . At the time of cancellation I was told by the customer care representative that I have to pay 25800 INR on total as concerned Airlines will charge 25000 INR, plus Make My Trip's own cancellation fees which is 500 INR plus extra 300 INR for some tax, Then after a number of phone calls and harassment ( which is very common to get your refund from Make My Trip ) finally I received a refund of 29700 INR on 19th Aug 2010 . They deducted 25800 from 55500 and credited the rest of the amount to my HDFC account, I was quite surprized to see such cancellation charge and thereafter I wrote an e email to Aircanda and came to know that their actual cancellation charge is 100 Eur which was 5720 INR for that day, If I add additional 500 INR as make my trip charge and 300 INR as tax then total cancellation charge would have been maximum 6520 INR , not 25800 that they had charged me,

          After I received the email from Aircanda I email to make my trip several times and got a reply from Make my trip that they need 48 - 72 hrs to revert me back . Last correspondent I had with Make My Trip on Oct 26 th 2010, But till date I havent get any single response from their side, I have copied the mail herewith as a reference, I am very disappointed with the whole thing have lost faith from Make My Trip. I want to get a refund of 19280 INR that make my trip took from me without any valid reason,

          I agree with the customer opinion having being cheated by Maketrip and their promotion partner shiftthoughts.

          Make My Trip — Cheated me with the package

          Hi,

          I booked a hotel package with Make my trip website (makemytrip.com) for Goa location from 3rd December to 6th December. These showed me the package, confirmed it twice and at the last moment when I confirmed it with the hotel staff, they (hotel staff) said there is not such package booked for me.

          The are such , I will recommend no one to book any travel package from them.

          I have cancelled the above ticket directly with the Airline on 01.11.2010 and informed the company (Make my trip ). In spite of my regular follow up the company has not yet refunded my money.
          Was trying to book a ticket in MakeMyTrip. After entering the credit card details and submitting, the next page showed booking error and the info that amount charged will be refunded in 3 working days.
          After a month, and no refund from MMT.com I called them and was told by the rep that she was able to see the transaction and will refund in 5 business days. After 1 month and 1 week, when I called I was told the amount was already refunded. After 2 months still no refund. When ever I call they say either it was refunded( still they are not able to give any transaction ID for the refund) or they could not find the transaction in the first place when they charged my card first time. Still no refund or any reliable answer. The amount was over 10K rs.

          Seems like a systematic scam whereas few reps tell customers that it was refunded though no reference or transaction ID to take the issue with the Bank or they simply say that they could not find anything about the booking.

          These guys definitely need some serious scrutinizing and beating from law enforcement.

          Hii, this is Sunil Kumar and I am writting this because of the harrowing experience I had with makemytrip.com.

          I had booked a rail ticket from TATANAGAR to MUMBAI for my uncle's family to travel in Nov 10. but due to some unforseeable circumstances, I had to cancell the booking. Upon cancellation I received a mail from makemytrip related to my cancellation and I was told that the amount will be credited back to my credit card acc withing 7-14 working days starting 14th Nov.

          I waited for more than a month for the money to come to my account. Post which I called their customer care and wherein I was told that I need to contact the bank for the same. I complied with them and I contacted my bank (ICICI Bank) for refund status. The bank confirmed that they have not received any instrucitons from makemytrip relating to the funds.

          Again I tried calling the makemytrip ppl, who gave me the same scripted response, that I need to wait for another 2-3 days for the refund to come as the case is pending with their ACCOUNTS dept. I also mailed my credit card statements on the instrucitons of the executives Mr Aniruddha Yadav and Ms Suman Rani as I had to call in twice to confirm the status on 20th Dec 2010.

          Now today 11th Jan 2011, I was too fed up with the delayed response so I called in once more and voila! the same response!!!

          You guys must be really good at training your customer service executive, hats off to your training team, cos no matter how old is the case, same response is to be given to all and sundry.


          Now I want to know few things:

          1) Does anyone reads any mails sent by customers at makemytrip?

          2) What is the so called "ACCOUNTS" dept doing to resolve customer's cases?

          3) Is there any escalation done when a case is lying unworked/ unresolved for a certain no of days?

          4) I am not concerned about the refund money as by gods grace I have ample to support myself, but if a representative of your company commits a timeline, doesn't it becomes a target of the company to fulfil the commitments made by the executive?
          Or is it just that the executives have been hired to talk fancy english and misguide customers?

          A genuine feedback to makemytrip:
          "I am so disappointed with the service offered to me the first time, that I can assure you that I WILL never come back for any reservations in future, and beleive me I travel a lot for business. and I WILL also discourage my friends and family travelling for business or pleasure to avoid makemytrip as far as they can.

          Currently this month I will be taking 6 flights from and to Mumbai and flying to Kolkata, Bangalore and Indore and this is pretty much the same for me throughout the year. All reservations done on cleartrip.com, which have a far superior customer service and transparent dealing."


          I hope any senior person from makemytrip comes across this and get this resolved in order to prevent the reputatation of the company from getting spoilt even more.

          For anyone reading this and having had such an experience with makemytrip. I request your help in this regard as I plan to lodge a case in consumer court asking for penalties and compensation.

But the amount has been detected from my bank account. At the same time i received a mail from MakeMyTrip mentioned that, same amount will be refunded in 2 working days. Till now i have not received the refund. When ever i asked over by phone and mailing, they used to say that wait for 48 hr to 72 hr.           I was also looking for email id of CEO. Their services and support are pathetic. I also pledged never to use their services. It's been 20 days and still I'm fighting for refund of failed transaction because of their stupid website was malfunctioning with ICICI netbanking.
          Unfortunately I have similar bad experience with MMT last week when I booked holiday package for Thailand from Delhi. I agree with you staff is ignorant and do not brief the customers about the details beforehand and hide lot many information which essentially need to be shared.I had to wait for 7 killing hours at the Bankok airport for the tour organizer to take us to the hotel.Nobody briefed us about the gap of pickup time and flight arrival at the BKK airport. When I reported about this pathetic incident, alll the sales rep telling different stories to secure their job. The MMT management must call their comments and penalise them for inconveniences faced by the customer due to their lack of communication but i guess nothing is going to happen. The hotels staff in Thailand were uncooperative and nasty sometimes.The tour organizer at Bankok and Pattaya were non informative and did not brie[censored]s about the visitable places before leaving us at the hotels. I overpaid Rs 3000/- wrongly and reported the matter to the concerned sales rep who assured me to refund the excess amount with in a week but even after the lapse of two weeks, there is no information.I do agree with you about their dismal services and would like to share my horrible experience with would-be customers before heading to deal with MMT.

          Make My Trip — non refund of interest

          when i came to know that passport no is mandatory for international flight i contacted them for the same... each time i called they gave ten variety of answers
          I have Booked a ticket from Bangalore to Miami through MMT. at the time of booking they told that flight changes and cancellations are permitted. When I asked for the flight change for a stoppover, first

          time I called some lady lift the phone and kept me on hold checking the information for almost 30 minutes.


          Then second time I called on Mr. Jaspreet told that we cannot provide a stopover or change the flight. After my repeated request he told not possible. Then I called Emirates airlines and they told the stopover is possible and the same can be changed only by makemytrip as the ticket is booked by them.


          Again I called makemytrip and told that emirates confirmed the changes are possible. after keeping me on hold for 15-20 minutes he told that changes are possible, then he went again on hold for another 10 minutes. after almost half an hour he told our systems are not allowing to do that, we cannot change it. I asked him check out the solutions and please give me a call back. But he told we cannot call back and we cannot change it also. I have almost spent 40 Minutes on the phone and not sure How to go about it.


          You cannot do anything as every time you call someone else will lift the phone and you need to tell the complete story to him. For Booking they called me 3 times to book the flight. But once there is a problem they are not even ready to call back with a solution. The only option now left is to go to local emirates office and ask for help.


          The Worst part is they don’t have courtesy to provide a call back to resolve the issue.

          MakeMyTrip.com, Gurgaon — Distrustworthy attitude and showing back after collecting money

          I had booked flight tickets from Kochi to Vizag through the agency Makemytrip.com on[protected]. The booking ID is NF[protected]. The journey date was 14-2-11 from Kochi-Hyd (SiceJet SG 108)/Hyd-Vizag(KingFisher IT 4491) and return journey 18-2-11 from Vizag-Hyd (SiceJet SG226)/Hyd-Kochi(JetLite 9W7009). Due to rescheduling of the program, on 12th I have sent a mail and a verbal communication to change my journey dates to 14th March and return journey to 18th March. Around 2220 hrs, on 12th the agency represented by Shri Kesarwani (as informed) called me and again confirmed my request. They have collected Rs. 1800 through IVR process and confirmed the tickets have been changed. On 14th March, around 900 hrs when I have checked the journey details on their site I have found the position as follows:
          Onward journey
          Kochi-Hyd -Not changed
          Hyd-Vizag -Changed to 14th March
          Inward Journey
          Vizag-Hyd _Not changed
          Hyd-Kochi -Changed to 18th March

          Immediately I alerted them through telephone and got assurance that it would be changed immediately. But the dates were not changed, for reasons known to them although each time I was getting assurances. Thereafter several times I called them. But only assurances and apologies were given. However, they had the boldness to accept that it was a mistake by them. Anyhow, a simple look at the tickets will reveal that the journey is continuous and any prudent man will say the change of one sector without the other is a blunder and a gross mistake on the part of the agency. In this case I had given advance information not only once but two times in addition to subsequent follow-up. Some of the Customer care Executives I have talked are Rahul (25/2/11) Asma (1/3/11) Pawan and again Bhupendra (4/3/11) SanjayKumar (7/3/11) Ajay and Ranjita (9/3/11). These are the last people I have talked. I am also enclosing the latest e-mails sent to them and their replies, a preview may give a firm opinion that deliberately they were not changing the dates. Their non-action has put me in financial loss of Rs. 8902 plus mental agonies. I would request to refund the ticket charges of Rs.8902 against the tickets which I could not use due to sole mistake of them or may be their purposeful avoidance plus adequate compensation for my harassment at their hand

          Make My Trip — No Refund After 45 Days

          I cancelled my International Ticket on 2nd Feb and the airlines has cleared the payment on 14th Feb. After numerous follow ups with Make My trip they have not refunded my amount. initially they kept on saying that the Airlines has not cleared the amount, but when I gave them the payment details from airlines then only they accepted that the payment has been processed. Now Even after 45 days I am still waiting on my refund. Whenever I call the customer care they say they will check the status and call me back which never happens.

There is no help from the customer service, i have called them several times....i had the worst experience with them & would advise no one to book tickets from them.

          Make My Trip Pvt. Ltd. — non-refund of airlines fare

          I had booked a holiday package from of 4 days (April 14, 2011 to April 17, 2011) for Kolkata through Make My Trip which included Airlines and Hotel Booking. I was forwarded the booking confirmation after payment of Rs. 50,689 on 06.04.2011 vide MakeMyTrip Booking ID - NP[protected]

          The package included bookings on Kingfisher flight from Mum-Kol (April 14, 2011) and return from Kol-Mum (April 17, 2011) and Hotel Booking in Swissotel, Kolkata.

          The Mumbai-Kolkata flight was fine. Same with the Hotel Bookings.

          However, I had a very horrifying experience with the bookings goof-up by Make my Trip team and had to face a very embarrassing situation at the airport. The fact is when I reached the airport for my return flight from Kol to Mumbai, I was informed by the airlines (Kingfisher) that the agent has not yet issued the tickets.

          When I contacted the make my trip helpline, I was informed by the desk (Mr. Ranjit on[protected] that due to some flimsy reason like system error, the tickets were not issued although the pnr no. was generated and apologized for the same. There was no advance email to this effect from the agent!!!!!! I was simply requested to book the next available flight in either of the airlines for which I was promised reimbursement in exchange for the e-ticket for the route.

          I had reluctantly and with no choice left, booked the next available Indigo Flight 6E324 on 17.04.2011 @ 11.20 from CCU-MUM. The cost of the flight tickets for me, my wife and daughter was Rs. 30,299.

          The least I expected of the team was to atleast send an apologetic mail for the goof-up. Anyways, I forwarded the e-tickets as requested in their mail of April 18, 2011 (from Mr. Bhaskar Thapa) and asked for a refund. There have been reminder mails sent everyday thereafter. But there is not a single acknowledgement mail nor any talks of refund as yet from Make my Trip team.

          This is a clear case of cheating and fraud.

          I tried to book a ticket from mumbai to mauritious. Although the transaction was failed, I was charged 61000. Now makemytrip is giving totally foolish reasons like, "money is stuck in gateway, and will take 3 days". I saw several such complaints on line. If you have suffered in same way please give me some pointers. I am not going to spare them.

          Completely agree that makemytrip is a fraud company. I did the mistake of booking a honeymoon package for my best friend to Corbett who traveled all the way from Kerala to Delhi just for this trip. The package was customized and finalized at Rs. 35000 inclusive of Cable car ride and jeep safari. However this was all a lie. The hotel accommodation kept changing till the last moment and finally he checked in the Eden Gardens, Nainital which was a good hotel. However he was surprised the next day when he was informed that he would have to spend from his pocket for boat ride, cable car ride, etc which he did. Next he went to Ranikhet and checked in Ranikhet Inn which was not that good and he ended up in hospital for food poisoning. Next he when to Corbett and checked in Corbett Jungle Club and straight away checked for the Jeep Safari. Hotel guys had no idea about any jeep safari booking and that he would have to pay Rs. 3000 on his own if he wanted the safari. After many calls and fights with makemytrip they finally confirmed that he would definitely get it. But that was not to be true. The hotel guys woke him at 4 am asking to fill a registration form and made him pay another Rs. 1000. So this turned out to be a hell's moon rather than a honeymoon. I feel like a dumb stupid person to have got this for him. The service is pathetic and these guys cannot be trusted. They wouldn't let you speak to a supervisor or manager and you would end spending money on calls and wasting time as there is no use calling them.
          Whats Deepak Karla. CEO's email ID. I would want to sue them for cheating and misleading. They have mentally harassed me and my friend. They would not let me speak to the manager and I end up being on hold for eternity. Can someone please guide me on how we could take action against these guys.           i had a booking through mmt in hotel after confirmation voucher also hotel was not ready to give us room they are asking for more money.when contacted to mmt they told us to pay the difference and send bill to us.after sending bills also no one ready to answer the mail.when contacted mmt they either putting receiver down when we talk about refund or always telling us that server is down.when contacted to branch office they told that online booking is not entertained here.thus i am following them for refund from more than a month .now decided to take help of law .i am going to record there calls having printouts of some documents...& will see them in court

          MakeMytrip - Delhi — Not getting Refund Against Cancellation of Holiday Trip

          I had made a Himachal Trip booking thro. MakeMyTrip Delhi office paying an amount of Rs. 96000 thro. Credit Card..... Trip to start from 19th. March,2011..... but because of my elder son's Board Exam postponment due to Paper lick, I had to cancel the trip on 4th. March. Since then even after several follow up mails, phone call till date I had got back only about Rs. 32000 from them.

          On 11th. April I got another mail from them for refund of Rs. 16003 which has not yet been credited to my Credit Card account even after several follow ups.

          Need help to recover my hard earn money and a better service as a customer.

          MakeMyTrip — Inappropriate refund

          Hi,

          I have booked the ticket in Airindia from Chennai to Singapore, round trip via makemytrip. The travel was made between Chennai to Singapore. The return ticket was rescheduled to April 29th. The flight was cancelled on that day. But makemytrip has not returned the complete oneway airfare and how can makemytrip deduct cancellation charges for the airline’s flight cancellation. Air India has announced that the cancellation charges should not be deducted and the complete fare should be refunded.

          I have lost money in my connecting flight that was booked from Chennai to Coimbatore and the return ticket that was booked especially because of the cancellation of flight. Now, they deduct the cancellation charges too from my money for the mistake of the airline. I have spent atleast 7 to 8 hours with the customer care in the phone (ISD) as they put the call for hold for several minutes and in return they say that they are not aware of the flight status and ask me to check with the airlines office.

          Makemytrip is making money by having a poor customer care who answers nothing related to what we ask. I would like the management should take necessary actions on this and return my complete one way airfare without any charges.

          Make My trip is selling its promotion offer, they call you and explain about offer, but they never tell all terms & condition and try to get your concent by giving limited information.
          More over they speek fast & on phone its difficult to understand all terms & condition and you have to pay over phone only.

          Most of the offers may not be usefull at all, and their holiday packages and hotel fair are also expensive compare to others.

          Alll these offers are designed to provoke you to expense more to avail the offers.

          So don't by any thing over phone, specially these promo offer, its just to make fool of you.

          MakeMyTrip — Not issuing Air-tickets after receiving money

          Cheating by “makemytrip.com” while booking Air-tickets

          I had booked two tickets from Srinagar to Jammu at makemytrip.com on 04.07.2011 through Debit Card. The amount of Rs.6012 had been debited from my account but no ticket was issued and the said amount has been refunded on 12.07.2011 without paying any interest.

          Similarly, on 08.07.2011, I had booked two tickets from Srinagar to New Delhi at makemytrip.com through Debit Card by paying Rs.15014. The tickets have again not been issued and Rs.15014 had been debited from my account on 08.07.2011 and refunded on 12.07.2011, without paying any interest.

          makemytrip.com is cheating the customers and blocked their hard earned money for about 8 or more days. If they do the same with 10,000 passengers every day for booking of tickets of an average amount of Rs.10,000 the amount goes to Rs.10 Crores per day and makemytrip.com is earning the interest on this amount for 8 or more days and nothing is paid to the customers.

The total price of Rs.17116 was deducted from my bank A/c and nothing was heard about the booking status for two days.call to the customer relations number only give some vague answers and e-mails elicited only the standard machine gnerated responses which actually means nothing.They could not even specify whether the money was received.However i was given a booking ID for future reference.
          at last i got a response from sri Gaurav Kwatra on 12 th august that due to a technical error the trasaction could not go through and promided to refund the money.I got refund after 16 days.

          So far so good as far as the Travel Site is concerned .But what about my travel plan which was put in geopardy by theit technical fault?.I do not understand how business in india treat customers? Are we still in the 'Ration Shop Syndrome',where if ration comes you get it,otherwise you don't.And what about my money tied up with them .do I get interest on it however small. Is there any regulation by Government on this.can they just say technical error and then keep quite?

          I wrote a letter to makemy trip .com on these points but no answer.

          Make My Trip — Poor service for international New Ticket Opening

          i booked ticket from delhi to toronto through london on 20 Aug (Time 12:10). i made first call for making payment at arnd 9 in the morning but it dint through after 6 calls in my seventh call to your customer care i was suggested rather misguided by one of your executive to book some other flight when i did'nt he said that the executive who made booking (anshula sharma) would come after 7 in the evening. after all this i was able to pay 71485 rs for the tickets at 12.15 in the night today now it has been more than 12 hours since the payment has been made but i have not received any confirmation from your end nor i got my tickets. i have made 3 calls since morning but was not able to talk to the concerned executive.
          the payment is already deducted from my account and when i checked my mail i came to know that your executive gave her id in place of my id for registration.

          i want to know what is happening in your company???

          MakeMyTrip — No willing to refund exact cancellation amount

          This is the 2nd time, i have had problem with the ticket cancellation with makemytrip. After last time i had almost stopped using makemytrip.

          My booking ID NF[protected]

          Canceled 2 tickets and the total refund should have been Rs. 3566 wherein they made a calculation mistake (i have a feeling that it is intentional, as same thing happened last time) and returned Rs 988. I spoke to almost 4 of their customer care executive at several occasions. All of them accepted the fault and promised to rectify withing 48 hours. One of them did try to negate my claim citing some weird reason and after i insisted disconnected without resolving .

          Nothing happened.

          Then i made a call to their nearest office, the lady assistant manager again made a similar promise and nothing happened.

          The thing is if its Makemytrip's fault why should i loose money calling their guys and wasting my precious time. I am formally writing a complain and would like to elevate the case to concern departments and agencies .

          I have observed many complaints like this on many of the forums.

          Makemytrip.com — Pathetic Service

          I had made a hotel booking through MakeMytrip.com on 10th August 2011 for two rooms in Ras Resort, Galu Near Kufri, NH-22, Kufri-fagu Road, Shimla between 13th to 15th August 2011. But i neither got 2 rooms as booked nor i get any service. I had lodged the complaint for the same by calling makemytrip staff on the day of check-in but problem was not addressed.

          On August 14th, I had send a detailed mail to makemytrip for refund and now they have refused for paying the refund saying i didn't inform them well before time which is a complete nonsense reply from them.

          I request for full refund of this booking immediately as I’m highly disappointed by the hospitality & service of resort.Enclosed is the detailed concern and reason for asking refund.

          PLEASE READ THIS:

          NO Response at reception phone no.[protected] I checked in around 11:00 p.m. on 13th August 2011. I was in complete follow-up with hotel person during my travel from Delhi to Kufri. I very well requested the reception person to guide me for the hotel location around 7:30 p.m. while I was 40 kms away from Shimla. From 9:00 p.m. onwards their reception landline number remained un-answered. I can’t describe how difficult it was for me to locate the resort late night and reach safely. On arriving at resort, I questioned the resort manager why you don’t pick the call? He claimed phone line is dead but it was not the case, I dialed the above no. in front of him and it was very well working. The immediate reply from the Manager was “I am sorry sir”.

          Non availability of room – I made a very well advance booking and at the time of booking I was offered one combined room (room no. 301) instead of two booked rooms that too in lower ground floor. I was informed full resort is booked for a group and the mentioned room is only available. On arguing with the manager, he casually replied “this is what is available. If you want to take this check-in else I’m sorry I can’t help you”. I told Manager that booking was made well advance but didn’t get any satisfied reply. Since, it was too late in night I was helpless and had to check-in in the available room.

          Pathetic quality room – The bad experience at resort reception became worst the moment I entered the room. The room didn’t have the closer from inside, switch board broken, loose water geyser fitting, dirty bad sheets and stinky room. Room phone was available but I was not working on repeated requests it was not functional. I have taken some room photographs, please let me know if your need them.

          No Choice in food – I realized that I can’t even eat food of my choice here. The only menu at resort was available that was decided & cooked for the bigger checked-in group in that resort during my stay. I had no choice from the menu card available in room rather forced to take the menu decided for the group be it breakfast or dinner. Thankfully I was out for site seeing during lunch time.

          No Room Service – Resort don’t have extra blankets if requested. Room doesn’t get cleaned even on repeated requests. Drinking water takes min. ½ hour to be delivered and for every requirement I had to go to reception for everything (since room phone was not working) and then also things were not delivered after repeater reminder and requests.

          Loads of disturbance – the reason for booking a resort away from Shimla was to have a peaceful holiday, that was the only reason for making booking in Kufri but the resort was too noisy and disturbed. Till 1:00 a.m. there as a regular DJ party and disturbance on room floor over night like some people were shouting, knocking and banging doors.

          On 14th Aug’11 morning I called up to Makemytrip number [protected] regarding the above. Your executive informed that he is immediately call the resort manager and assured me that my all problems will be resolved but things remained same. Moreover when I came back in evening i found my room was not even cleaned and it was finally done after making 4 personal requests at their reception in around 1 hour.

          PLEASE HELP ME WITH HIS MATTER. I HAVE FEW PICS OF ROOM I WAS PROVIDED WITH DURING MY STAY.

          we booked honeymoon tickets by these fraud agency and we were not provided what they offered in the advertisement at all.

          MakeMyTrip — big time cheaters

          I booked international flight tickets on 20/0/11 from Atlanta to Chennai. Booking reservation numbers are Z76AVG, 8TCJ7Y. I bought 2 tickets. Instead of deducting $2794 from my account, they deducted $4191+$41.91 for foreign transaction fee without my authorization.


          I called and wrote to them so many times. They asked me to send the screen shots of the bank account. I have sent it twice. They gave me the service reference number [protected] for the request raised. still now i am not getting the refund.

          DO NOT BELIEVE THEM. THEY ARE BIG TIME CHEATING FELLOWS. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THEM.

              Make my trip had an offer of giving 50% cashback on the spicejet fare. I emailed them asking if this offer was valid for net-banking customers also to which I got a confirmation from them that it was applicable for net-banking customers too. But after several days went by, I didn't receive any cash back, I contacted them for the same to which they said that it was not applicable for net banking customers. Airline booking number is JU7ZBW

                  Hi everyone,

                  Ok, this is my story. I got this sms and mail talking of a discount on makemytrip. It said "Return ticket at the cost of One-Way: Book an IndiGo Return ticket at the cost of a One-Way ticket*, only on MakeMyTip.com". Since I travel very often on IndiGo wanted to check what the offer was all about.

                  First, the language in the deal is extremely misleading. The actual deal is this- If you book a round trip of GoIndigo on makemytrip you will receive the lower of the two base fares as a cashback 7-10 days after booking. Example (fictional): Hyd-Kol: Base Fare- Rs. 99. Taxes- Rs. 2600. Kol- Hyd: Base Fare- Rs. 198. Taxes- Rs. 2500. Total cost: Rs. 5397. The offer means, you will need to pay the entire amount of Rs. 5397. Rs. 99 (which is the cheaper of the two base fares) will be refunded to your card as a cashback on a later date. This is bull**** and a case of gross bad messaging.

                  Two, the offer terms and conditions were mentioned in the T&C page (which is on a different page outside of step 3-5) but throughout the 3-5 step online transaction while processing a ticket under the offer, they never mention the amount you ACTUALLY need to pay net (or the amount you will save/be discounted under the offer). An alert said the actual amount will be reflected in the payment confirmation page. While I tried to get to that page to understand the offer, I was asked to insert all my information- name, billing address, credit card information etc. Once that was done, not only was I taken to no credit-card-has-been-approved and/or xyz-amount-will-be-deducted-from-card-nuber-abc and/or confirmation page but was instead taken to a blank page with an error message saying" Connection stopped" and almost immediately sent an SMS that said "your booking has been confirmed". Note, not once was there any confirmation required before they processed the transaction and billed it to my card. From my 3-4 years of regular online dealings be it wrt to movie/airline/railway/online marketing purchases I have never come across such a fraudulent transaction ever. I tried to reason with officials at makemytrip on phone but not only was I kept on hold for 20-22 mins each time on end but my appeal was completely disregarded. Customer care officer Saba Siddiqui (or she she said her name was) was downright impolite and unhelpful. The cancellation charges for a ticket I never booked is Rs. 2000.

                  I give makemytrip a big thumbs down for deceptive messaging, poor site quality and poor customer service. I will never return to that portal and recommend that no one else does so too. I will blog and tweet @shaonrc about my poor experience and am happy to share my story with whoever else is interested.

                  P.S: Price of tickets are always higher on makemytrip than on other portals as travelguru or cleartrip from my experience till date. They keep at least a 200-250 rupees commission per ticket. So if you book a roundtrip you pay at least 400-500 rupees extra.

                  A case in point of the lax enforcement of laws regarding online transactions, or perhaps an absence of them. Another way to deal with such a problem is asking the credit card company to stop transactions immediately through the visa/mastercard network.

                  And interestingly. there i have it.. two ads on two corners of this very page.. Great airfares to india.. makeMYtip... i meant TRIP.com
                  "Hey, saw you comment about calling the bank to ask them to stop payment. When the makemytrip fiasco happened, the same minute I called citibank and did just that. Apparently, the payment was already approved (not just blocked) and they could not undo it unless the merchant initiates a refund. "

                  - That is interesting. Payments are held pending for a certain time so that fraudulent transactions can be reported. Citibank, i can say from personal experience, has been indulging in very irregular activity in the indian market, probably taking advantage of the lack of a proper regulatory environment. This instant "approval" is one of the ways of getting past fraudulent transaction claims. You might try the banking ombudsman. And, i dont think you should be too harsh on yourself calling that episode a fiasco. Your failure was hardly a humiliation for you, but one perhaps for the current regulators and thier ineptitude at their work.

                      Hi Friends,

                      I just want to make you guys aware of makemytrip.com. These guys are absolute frauds. I made a booking in Trident, Chennai for 2 nights costing Rs. 16690/-(as per the prices shown on make my trip portal). I visited chennai and at the time of check out when i saw the bill my head just blew off. I could see that the total bill amount mentioned on the hotel bill was actually Rs. 13190/-(inclusive of taxes). Can you believe it!!! Makemytrip portal claims to give the lowest prices and this is what they do!!

                      I am already speaking to my lawyer friends about it and am going to register a case against them. I dont know that how many victims of this fraud portal are there. Please guys, dont hesitate in lodging a case against any company/service which you feel has faultered in their service deliveries. WE NEED TO TEACH THEM A LESSON.

                      My experience (from 2 days ago 5th Sep 2015) :

                      Booked flights from Mumbai to Delhi. After booking saw that the dates were wrong Sept instead of Dec. I am sure I searched for December.

                      Anyway I tried changing, but I kept getting message System is down. Please call to make changes.

                      I called spoke to 1st person. After getting all details, she transferred to next person. And call got disconnected. This went on for next 2 hours. Finally After 2hours and 30 minutes, we got someone from "Date Change Department" and he made the changes. We have to pay extra Rs 9000/- for changing the dates.

                      When checking Yatra.com, I found that same flight for Rs 3000/- cheaper. I have written to them, but they are not responding.

                      Yes I agree WE NEED TO TEACH THEM A LESSON.

                      Also, I did not find any sites in India for complaints, and for comparing MAkemytrip vs Yatra vs ClearTrip.

                      These days you can find flights using google and directly book with the airlines, bypassing these sites.

                        I had to fly from Raipur to Kolkota on 15th feb 2009.When i reached the Airport and was checking in the airports authority told that their system was not showing the tickets reference which i produced.Finally they told that the ticket was false.                         I would agree with his statement, as I am also facing the problem of wrong booking by Make my trip and they are not responding for last 6 days. People should not rely upon Makemy trip and I will also check again with airlines, if they really booked the tickets or not.

                        Air ticket booking through Make my trip — Tickets not issued for few passengers

                        MakeMyTrip Booking ID - NF[protected]Flight tickets booked for 7 passengers of which 5 adults and 2 infants from Bengaluru to Bagdogra via Kolkata).

                        I booked the flight tickets from Bengaluru to Bagdogra on Oct 23rd for 7 passengers via Kolkata (travelling on Dec 25th and returning back on Dec 31st). The website showed an amount of Rs. 73404 for the complete package and I went ahead and payed through my citibank account. I got the confirmation from bank indicating the deduction of Rs. 73404 whereas makemy trip sent me an email indicating the deducted amount as 70204 (a difference of Rs. 3200). Whereas at the same time they sent me an SMS indicating the decution of Rs. 73404.

                        This was just the starting of my problem and when I received the eTickets from they I found out that the infants names were not listed in 2 sectors (Kolkata to Bagdogra and Kolkata back to Bangalore). I called their customer service lines atleast 6 times talking to various agents (eg. Bincy, Shruthi, Ramani, Sudhanshu and what not) everyone of them assured me that the ticket would be updated and be reflected in 3 to 4 hrs time (after keeping me on hold for long ofcourse). Until now nothing has happenned and I have sent them an email with details to their email id "[protected]@makemytrip.com" and atleast 3 reminders but with no response from them. I wonder if they have functional customer support department.
                        I booked a air ticket through make my trip on dated 20/oct/2010 ID NO-NF[protected] for 9 th dec 2010
                        Due to some reason a ticket pnr no FIWGVH and king fisher ticket no[protected] cancelled from delhi to Chennai . new pnr issued from Chennai to port blair are GFYAEH and travel on new pnr.
                        From 25/dec/2010 to till date I call at king fisher and make my trip customer center several time as a pendulum pl give reply urgently.
                        1-King say I give remark at t.no[protected] refund given by make my trip
                        2-Make my trip say I want stamped document from king.
                        3-King say when I provided remark on ticket stamped document not necessary.

                          : I HAD BOOKED TWO ROOMS FOR TWO FAMILIES IN HOTEL AT GOA THROUGH MAKEMY TRIP ON INTERNET AND ON TELEPHONE. CHITRA HAS PHONED ON TOLL FREE NUMBER TO MAKE MY TRIP AND THE SAME WAS ANSWERRED BY ONE SHIVANI, AFTER LONG HOLD SHE HAS INFORMED THAT MAKEMY TRIP HAS NEVER INCLUDED TWO HALF DAY SIGHT SEEING. MY WIFE EXPLAINED HER THAT WE GOT THE PRINTED VOUCHER WHICH SHOWS THE SAME. BY AFTER SOME RUDE TALK SHE ASKED FOR SOME TIME AND DISCONNECTED. AFTER SOME TIME WHEN WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY REPLY MY WIFE CALLED THEM AND THIS TIME ONE NAMED POONAM ANSWER AND SAME THING HAPPENED AS IN CASE OF SHIVANI. THIS TIME EVEN HOTEL PEOPLE HAS FAXED THEM VOUCHER AND SPEAK TO THEM THAT THE SIGHT SEEING IS INCLUDED, BUT THEY REFUSED.

                          I HAVE THEN REGISTRED THE COMPLAINT WITH CORE.NIC.IN AND ONLY RECEIVED MAILS FROM MAKE MY TRIP ASKING ME FOR SOME TIME. BUT AFTER THREE MONTHS I HAVE RECIEVED ANY COMPENSATION OR AFFIRM REPLY FROM THEM.

                            Hi Dear Friends,

                            I went to Kerala for new year, as I was going to the kerala first time, I was not knowing which is the good hotel and how to book the hotel.
                            So I trusted the Make MY trip and booked the hotels in the kovelm in 2 months advance by paying the 30k for 5days .
                            While booking I had given Swagata, Sagara and hotel blue sumdra 3 hotel names, make my trip said they will do the booking, after 30 minutes I got call saying all 3 hotel are booked,
                            and they suggested the hotel View heights for the same rate and its very good hotel they gave assurance I believed them asked for booking the same hotel.


                            I went with my wife and my 2 years son to the Kerala for Enjoying the new year As soon I reached hotel the real experience stared .
                            In hotel no one was there to take the language, and the believed make my trip cheated me, the hotel location was worst, there was no power all the mosquito was biting my son, after horrible night, I went to bath there was no water, after completing to the make my trip I did not get good response.
                            the hotel was like govt hostel, I paid 3.5k per day for such hotel, I got full upset my son was crying because of the mosquito

                            finally I decided to cancel my booking in the hotel then make my trip said they will refund the money, I left the hotel after paying 30k, I got 5k as an refund.

                            I went to one person name PRASHANT he came as good and arranged the hotel booking for 4 day with 3k per day the hotel Sagara was awesome with see view .

                            later I came to know make my trip have only one or two room quota for every hotel so dear friends
                            don't believe make my trip friends . directly contact hotel

                            So please don't book through make my trip.

                              Hi,
                              I really hope some one goes through this whole email and escalate it to the correct authority to take appropriate action. I am a very frustrated and harassed customer of make my trip. I have never seen such a poor and harassing customer service till date. Below is the conversation I had with different people
                              Unknown in Make my trip: I called up on the 24th evening to check if everything is fine on the booking and was told that the booking was confirmed for Me, my wife and my 1 month old daughter. This call was made around 8 PM
                              Indigo: I called Indigo on 25th about 12 PM to check on the ticket status and was told that the infant was not there and it was booked only for me and my wife. I had to be on hold for 20 mins before I got some one in Indigo.
                              Tanya in Make my trip: I called MMT at about 12:30 PM on 25th and informed about the error. She very promptly accepted the error and kept me on hold for 25 mins and got it corrected as well as got the new Indigo ticket sent to me from Indigo Airlines. I checked with her for a compensation and she immediately apologized and said it was a technical error and a compensation for that cannot be made to which I immediately agreed. Before hanging up the phone I asked her to check the spice jet ticket as well and confirm if my daughters name was appearing on that, to which she immediately replied that it is fine on the spice jet ticket, I agreed and disconnected the call.
                              Indigo: As promised by Tanya I got the e ticket from Indigo, however it was still incorrect so I had to call up Indigo and this time was on hold for approx 10 mins and had to request them to send me the revised e ticket which they did. So another issue from MMT, they should have got Indigo to send the correct ticket in the first place.
                              Spice Jet: As Tanya confirmed without even researching the system I was not very confident about the spice jet ticket and called them up around 1:15 PM on 25th and came to know that the infant is not added on that ticket as well.
                              Jagjit in Make my trip: I immediately called up make my trip to get Jagjit on the call. I explained him the situation and asked for a supervisor to which to put me on hold for about 15 mins to come back to me and tell me that he has been trying the spice jet number but it is busy and if I can call up after some time. That is when I really lost it as I asked for a supervisor and he had the audacity to come back and tell me to call back after sometime even after knowing what had happened and how much of a follow up I have been doing just to get the right ticket even after paying for it in full. I insisted on a supervisor who then came on the call after about 25 mins and in between I was continuously told to hang up as the supervisor is busy and could not come on the call
                              Ravinder Kumar (Supervisor): Then I got this guy to whom I had to tell the whole story again and he also said that no compensation can be given for the harassment and the follow-ups because of the incorrect information given to me time and again by MMT customer care executives. To which I asked for a manager and was told that he is on a call, when I insisted I was told he is in a meeting, and when I insisted further I got Rizwan on the call after 30 mins, who was confused if he was on a call or a meeting or on lunch.
                              Rizwan (Manager): Very promptly without wasting time he convinced me that he was looking at getting me a compensation and very efficiently after so much going on managed to keep me on hold for more than 30 mins after which neither did he send me the new e tickets from spice jet nor could he arrange for a compensation . I even told him Rs. 100 as compensation would be fine, but he seemed to be in a Sunday mood and gave me a no. which is [protected] and told me whoever picks up the phone here will be able to assist me. I really failed to understand what did he do when he put me on hold for more than 30 mins, was he just trying to make sure that I am harassed to the core, not sure if that is the motto of the organization as well because till here that is what it looked as every one was consistent in trying to irritate me (the customer).
                              Pallavi (Supervisor to the manager): When I called the number given by Rizwan, I reached pallavi who was again very consistent in the same approach of irritating. When I called her and requested her to call me back I was immediately told that a call back is not possible however if I call the toll free no. and give the extn no. 2444 I would be transferred to her, to which I agreed . However again to add to the frustration when I called MMT ‘s no. I had to be on hold for about 5 mins before I got some one who could not transfer me to the extn given and also could not transfer me to pallavi. So exhausted by now which is about 4:45 pm I called pallavi on the mobile no. knowing that I have already spent a lot on my mobile calling. Pallavi assured that she will get something done and will call me back in half an hour, which she very nicely did. I didn’t understand at this time how could she call me back when in the first place she refused and made me talk to her on the phone knowing I had already spent 5 hours on the phone trying to fix it. Also the compensation that she gave was the most funniest part of the whole episode.
                              She said I can get Rs. TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY (WOW) off on my next transaction with MMT. By now I was done and didn’t know what to do and in anger we finally agreed that she will return the 250 to my Ccard as compensation. I was dead by now. I will write again to let you know if I receive the amount
                              I feel 10 times more frustrated that I was when I first called MMT and would never ever even visit the site in future and would make sure that I let people know about my feelings about MMT whenever we talk about travel or holidays.
                              Hope some one (to who the reputation of make my trip matters) reads this and take necessary steps to fix this harassment of customers. I feel like writing a lot more but am completely done complaining.

                                had booked my airticket and hotel through make my trip in Dec 08 to Goa alongwith my 12 year old daughter. My trip was planned from 25th Dec to28th Dec 08. The ariticket booking was ok but to my disgust the hotel booking done by makemytrip executive Ms.Jinal was horrible. They charges me bomb 10700 for 3 days stay but the hotel was SO HORRIBLE and unhygienic that we were forced to look up for another hotel. Ms.Jinal was constantly telling me that Goa is full and there is no hotel available to stay but after going there I found that Goa was completely empty with very few tourist around. The localites were complaining and telling us that all the hotels are vacant and there is no crowd in Goa. Why do these people give wrong information to customers? Just to scare them. Moreover on enquiring with the hotel person Mr.Jose he told us that their per day charges were only Rs.2000/- then why was I charged so high? I was in no mood to spoil the holiday mood hence on returning back to Mumabi, I called Ms.Jinal Choksi and informed her about my horrifying experience to which she asked me to send her a mail. After repeated reminders they have just sent me an apology mail which is of no use to me. . I WANT MY MONEY BACK.Make my trip sent me a costomer feeback form which I filled and sent two days back but I know they are not going to pay any attention to this feedback. TO ALL MY FRIENDS - PPPLEASE DO NOT BOOK YOUR HOLDAYS THROUGH THIS MAKE MY TRIP SERVICE. THEY ARE HORRIBLE GHOSTS WHO LURE YOU TO MAKE THINGS SIMPLE AND EASY PLS DO NOT FALL PREY TO THESE PEOPLE INSTEAD GO AHEAD AND DO DIRECT BOOKINGS.

                                    I have booked the Air ticket from MakeMyTrip.com using my Credit Card, and then due some data entry problem in name i need to cancel those tickets and again i have booked the ticket with proper name.

                                    Amount is alreasy been deducted from my credit card for both the Tickets but Cancelled ticked reimbursement is not yet gien. I have booked the ticket in Aug-2008 and till date i haven't received any positive reply, i want total amount reimbursement from company with HUGE penalty, so that they will do this again with any other customer.

                                    Waiting for positive resolution for my ISSUE.

                                    Makemytrip.com — Not refund the ticket cancellation amount

                                    Dear Sir,
                                    This is lalitmohan, a resident of Noida.I've used the services of makemytrip.com on 29th April-09 for booking the airtickets for my Wife and Kids for the date of 12th May-09.The ticket was from Delhi to Vizag and return.The booking no. is FLT[protected].
                                    Because of Jetlite carelessness, my wife missed the flight and they wrote on ticket that it is cancelled and Rs.1000 per ticket will be deducted and no deduction for infant ticket.

                                    But they only refund the half amonut and for the rest of amount i'm following up with them from last two months but they donot care.I have called at makemytrip.com customer care more than 14 time. They told me that the payment has been done from their end but till today I donot get in my account.They gave me the cheque no. 133797 and the reference no. 339465. I checked with my bank, they told me that they didnot get any payment from this cheque or ref. no.

                                    Now the makemytrip.com said that they have sent the cheque at my residence and some Uday has received the cheque. but my house was locked for last two months and there is NOBODY Uday to whom I know.

                                    PL. look into the matter as makemytrip.com is not supporting me to refund my amonut.

                                    Please note that I have booked two tickets for travelling from Guwahati to Dibrugarg . The date of journey was 30/09/09 .The PNR -BGAPHS and the ID-FLT[protected].                                     I had booked this for travel from Kolkata to Guwahati and back. I had cancelled the return journey, by Indigo flight number 6E 208.

                                    Make My Trip — Refund for cancelled Ticket

                                    I had booked three tickets from
                                    Hyderabad to Bangalore on the 6th July 2010 Booking ID FLT[protected]
                                    Bangalore to Camibotor on 8th July 2010 Booking ID - FLT[protected]
                                    Camibator to Hydrabad on 9 th July 2010. Booking ID - FLT[protected]

                                    On the 5th I had decided to cancel my trip due to some personal matter.

                                    On the 5th July 2010 at about 8:30 pm I logged on to the site www.makemytrip.com to cancel my tickets Bangalore to Coimbatore and Coimbatore to Hyderabad, for which I had received the cancellation conformations. The same night I cancelled my Hyderabad to Bangalore ticket at about 12:30am. I received a sms conformation.

                                    The next i.e. 6th July I received confirmation that my refund is being processed for 2 sectors only. I called make my trip and informed the same and enquired about my Hyd to Bangalore ticket refund and to my surprise I was told that I have never cancelled the ticket and I’m not entitled for any refund.

                                    I had a very bad experience with these guys.

                                    If I still don’t get any response I will file my complain with the consumer court.

                                    Makemytrip.com — Large cancellation amount

                                    I would like to raise a complaint on makemytrip.com
                                    Dont ever tickets through them. They charge a large amount for cancellation.
                                    If you paid 5k for booking a ticket, if you cancel, you are going to loose almost 3 K. Which is very large as you know.
                                    They charge a huge amunt for nothing....
                                    WHY?
                                    Please spread this info to all to avoid getting cheated!

                                      Please be informed that our tour to Uttaranchal was scheduled to start from 2nd July 2013. I wrote an email to you as in the email below on the 20th June expressing my concerns on the Uttaranchal Trip with regards to the severe floods as well as to the climatic conditions prevailing in Uttaranchal and sought your advice ( I believe MMT is an advisor on tours) keeping in mind that the entire country was mourning as well as we could have been prone to epidemic diseases in view of the calamity prevailing there. It was a force majure situation

                                      I contacted the toll free number from Doha Qatar on 26th June and spoke to one of your Call centre gentlemen seeking information wrt to the conditions prevailing at Uttaranchal and requesting amendments to change the trip to either Punjab, HP or Rajasthan as the atmosphere was not conducive for us to travel with kids. There was no response from you or your offices until the 28th when I landed in India and called you up again seeking your advise on going to Uttaranchal. You apologised for the delay in getting back to us as you were busy attending a condolence in your family. I need to know if you are the only person managing Make My Trip (MMT) and whether in such personal emergencies wasn't there someone from MMT to handle our account????

                                      I wrote to you by email again on 30th June detailing the climatic conditions prevailing in Uttaranchal and requesting for a change to any other place.

                                      I was worried with regards to the trip since we were to leave for Delhi on 2nd July morning and on 1st evening at around 5 PM you demanded a Cancellation fee of INR 61, 500/- along with an additional payment of INR 17, 000/- to be made. We made the payment immediately since we did not want to disappoint ourselves on the tour and since because our flights to and from New Delhi Madurai was booked.

                                      I do not understand what you mean by Cancellation and why did you charge this INR 61, 500-. I demand a refund of this cancellation charges as otherwise I construe that your intention was to force us to travel to Uttaranchal despite the calamity without any human considerations of the epidemic diseases prevailing. This despite the fact that we wrote to you well in advance on 20th June seeking your advice. Your advice in the last minute to pay cancellation charges of INR 61, 500/- is sheer BLACKMAIL of your clients and does not go in good taste of giving your clients a satisfactory tour instead RIP them off of all money possible in the name on cancellation despite the fact that a tragedy was prevailing in Uttaranchal and the whole country was mourning.

                                      What would you have done if we had booked for Haridwar and Rishikesh during this period? would you still charge us Cancellation fees????

                                      Provide me with the details of the cancellation charges paid back to the hotels( despite informing you on 20th June ie; 11 days prior to our departure on the trip) as I shall have to legally pursue otherwise to recover our money illegally taken by Make my trip in the name of Cancellation charges.

                                      Please advise REFUND details to our accounts from which the payment was made under intimation to us.

                                        I wanted to book a hotel in Vizag for Dec 25-28 and decided to book through makemytrip.com.
                                        They recommended Hotel Sarovar on theie website and the room rent was around 2800 per night. Looking at the rent, I thought it would be a decent star hotel with some minimum standards of ambience. After booking, I found some bad reviews about the hotel on Raahi.com. I immediately called up makemytrip and asked them to change my booking to another hotel. They however said that the hotel is very good and I wouldn't face any inconvenience. I was even ready to forgo one night's rent for cancellation, but they advised me otherwise. When I went to the hotel, I found that it was like a roadside lodge in front of a railway station. No mimimum requirements like pillow covers, hot water etc. The room and toilet was very unhygenic and ambience was poor for the huge rent I was charged. I also found that the same room was available for much less price through direct booking at the hotel, which meant that makemytrip had fleeced me extra money. I spent only one night there and decided to move out. MAkemytrip refused to refund my two nights rent because I had already checked into the hotel. Despite the fact that I myself had offered to cancel a week back by forgoing one night's rent. I have been duped and fleeced by makemytrip and Sarovar Hotel Vizag. I would like to get back my two night's rent for the inconvenience I was put to by the company.
