[Resolved]  Meru Cabs — Bad service

I booked a Meru cab to pick me up at 10 pm today (19 Apr 2010) well ahead of time. I received 2 messages with details of 2 different cabs, but when I called up both drivers were unaware of the pick up. Subsequently I called Meru, which was unaware of the issue! After a while, I was told another cab would come and pick me up at 10:20. This is not the first time that I have had such an experience with Meru and the company is unconcerned and unapologetic about its poor service quality.

Same thing happend with me.I booked the cab for early morning (4:30_as i had to catch the train.I got a call from cab driver in 3:45 that he will be coming.I keep waiting but no body turned up.I called meru and they said driver is already their(Laying) and same time they send another message to other driver.I got another SMS.I tried contacting new cab so he said he jst got the confirmation so it will take at least 15-20 mins for him.I complained in meru but no body bothers about it.I am sure i am not going to use Meru anymore.I was using it in Hyderabad and the service was really excellent but bangaloare meru is pathetic.

I had booked meru cab online for 12th Feb in Bangalore for 2 time slots (1.12:30 pm /Ref No[protected]/ from Richmond Road to V V Puram & 2.5:50pm /Ref No[protected]/ from V V puram to Somasundarapalya) .I had booked these the previous day & they were confirmed (I got the confirmed booking message on my mobile no also).But i failed to get a message before the scheduled departure at 12 30 pm & when i called them up they told me that cabs were unavailable at my location.When i protested they said that i can lodge a complaint.Since i had an exam within a few hours I told them i will do so later.With some luck i managed to be at my exam centre before it started.Just before i got in the hall i called up meru again & asked if the evening cab i booked for 5 50pm will be available.They assured me that it will be there & they said it wont happen like how how it was early in the afternoon.After the exam there was no sign of the cab & when i called them up they said "Sorry sir, but there are no cabs available at your location".Talk about wonderful service! And that too from a cab company that starts of with the line 'The premier cab service in India'. Ha! I heard that the cab service prefers long distance service since it is more profitable for them( like Airport transfers) . Even if they dont want to run short distances or cancel them , they should atleast have the courtesy to call/inform the concerned customer about the unavailabilty instead of neglecting to even inform them.Had a very good impression about meru before this but sad to say now i dont. 2 taxis cancelled in the span of 4hrs & i was not even informed beforehand.
In Last two days I have been facing continuous problems with your services. I had booked a cab for 11 th on 10th and 10 mins prior to the scheduled time when I contact your call center for status they say there is no cab till next two hours.

1. I was not Communicated about the cancellation by sms / mail
2. I am pregnant and how does one expect me to travel if you do a last min cancellation
3. The call center executive ( Names given below) did not even try to resolve the issue and Richardson was extremely rude

This is my second complaint in last two days.
