I had booked a cab on 21st from malad west to Bandra west leelavati hospital st 6 am in morning. It was obviously for a medical emergency.the booking was done a day before Till 6am there was no sms containing driver information nor any call from.booking executives. When we left using other cab at about 6:05am the driver from meru calls stating he is on his way Is 6am in morning too early for your driver to arrive? No courtesies of apologising in also a trademark in your drivers and booking executives.i got a call from one of your booking executive since he was notified that the pickup dis not happen. He just had to hear that the driver did not reach on time and he disconnected the call. Is this the way a booking executive behaves?

    I have a strong complain to raise against Meru Cabs Banaglore, and there are two parts of the problem: Here are both as below I have booked a trip yesterday 13th Sept 1:39PM via mobile app (applying coupon for discount worth 150/-). After getting dropped at destination, Driver asked me to pay 520/-, Which I had a doubt I denied paying this much amount and asked for Invoice, He says there is a problem with his cell phone and not able to end the trip, he was hurrying it so that I can pay soon to him, Then I supported him and called Meru Customer care at around 2:35 PM to ask for Bill amount, Then Meru customer care lady spoke to the Chauffer/Driver in local language and told me to Pay Rs. 410/- to driver, asking for what are particulars of the billing, she confirmed that I will be getting the invoice soon and this amount is inclusive of discount. I paid Rs. 410 to driver Later when I check my email for invoice I see the bill amount is Rs. 296/- (there is goo[censored]p there too I am explaining the goo[censored]p in next paragraph)) I called up customer care again and they raised a concern with Ticket number: CR44325912. Second part of issue is even deeper, I got a bill net payable of 296/- which I took a look and found out there is a goo[censored]p too. About the Toll charges reimbursed** what are these charges are incurred for, where there was no answer, and it happened to be like Myself and customer care executive calculated it and found out that there is a change in bill, and net payable amount should be only 155/- (not 297/-) He assured me that My complain will be forwarded to Concerned department, but the ticket number remained the same. I should be getting approx.Rs 255/- back to me. This is been raised with Meru cabs Customer support team as well but there was no response from them, Requesting your help in this regard Booking ID Number: 44325912.     Hi Meru Customer care team, Thanks for taking this issue, Also request you that I am not looking for any virtual money or any coupon code this time. Kindly confirm the refund process. In the meantime I reached out to Driver of this Trip his name is Manjunath ([protected]), where he denies for returning any money and asking for calling helpline number of Meru. Regards Deepak Jar

      I am copy pasting the mail I've sent to them here. Hey, Where is my Rs 225 /- that you guys stole from me ?? First of all let me inform you this. I've already contacted you on a complaint 4 times regarding the issue that I am going to mail you.So this time I really need it to be solved. I did a big mistake by booking a Meru Cab on 23rd August 2015. I chose Meru because there was an offer of 50% discount if I am paying through my paytm wallet. Now what happened is, the idiotic driver forgot to switch on his device on the course of my journey. As a result I didn't get the "End of ride" message on my mobile. So the driver said that I will have to pay by cash and therefore my wallet offer will not be applicable. He connected me to the customer care which was attended by a very unprofessional employee of yours. He said he cannot do a damn thing about this and asked me to settle it with the driver. So I was forced to pay by cash an amount of Rs 225/-. After 10-15 mins I've got a message saying my wallet was deducted for Rs 186. I was so angry and called the customer care and that driver again. They said they will take care of the situation and I will not lose a penny on this. They said they will resolve it in 48 hours. This 48 hours talk continued over 3 more calls. Then one fine morning, they refunded Rs 93 back to my wallet. What about the rest of my cash ?? To make things simple to you (since I believe you don't even understand the situation very well). Total amount paid by me = 225 (to driver ) + 186 (from wallet) = 411 Amount refunded = 93 Rs Original Amount = 93 Rs So 411 - (93 + 93 ) = 225 !!! Where is this 225 gone ?? Do I need to go to some customer forum to resolve this now ??         I Arrived at delhi airport today morning by 6 am and checked out at around 6:30 am to catch a cab i reached to Meru Cab counter on the outside of the airport and asked for a Taxi, The counter staff directed me to go for 1 of the cab standing on the road side, When i asked what would be the charges for the trip to Rani bagh in Pitampura which is 26 Km from Airport The staff replied it would be around Rs 350 to Rs 400, i accepted that as i reached to my destination the cab driver said that the charge was Rs 906, i was surprised and when i asked why it was that much the driver replied Rs 110 was Airport parking charge and Rs 50 tax and balance Rs 746 for the ride which was just 26 KM and Morning around 6:45 am and the ride was without any traffic signal I usaully travel on Taxi for Sure and other cab and i have always bayd between Rs 350 to Rs 400, I could not argue with the cab driver and asked for payment receipt he replied that they don't have receipt. Then i took picture of the Meter and Driver Identity which was in the cab so that this matter should be looked into and other people will be carefull before using Meru cab.

Its purely wrong receipt generated Please reimburse my amount as this is totally fake bill with additional distance. Currently I've paid the full amount to driver but need reverse this amount (actual amount for regular distance surely you should charge). Seeking for cooperation from your end.

          Dear Team Meru Thanks for resolving my complaint and refunding additional charged money in just 3 days time. Highly appreciable. Again facing the similar issue: In just 12 days another case happened today with me... Amount was not deducted from Wallet... even driver was not aware of the same and (Cab No: MH48F1260 Driver RajeshSoni). When I came to know about the same I've informed Team Meru about this incident... here I'm calling from my side to pay the amount and asking to deduct the same and to Provide me Invoice... Some interesting things came out during my talks with Ms Sharda on 022-44224422: 1) When you book through APP you need to pay 30Rs as Convenience Charge... (In last 2 years i've never seen such charges in my any trip invoice which i've gone through just now except 80Rs at Airport ) 2) Travelled KM is 49 and I should pay 877Rs (No waiting charges / No pick time charges as booked at 15:58Hrs) Then my query was today morning I've travelled on the same route with 52.6 Kms and amount was 870 Rs with following break up: Fare Rs. 773.40 Discount Rs. 0.00 Net fare Rs. 773.40 Rs. Convenience charge Rs. 0.00 Surcharges Rs. 50.00 Total amount Rs. 823.00 Service Tax* Rs. 46.11 Toll Charges reimbursed** Rs. 0.00 Total amount payable Rs. 870.00 - Then I asked again now tell me the final amount to pay ...then Ms Sharda agreed on 820 Rs payable amount to Driver. - Why this amount can not be deducted from the Wallet?? And funny thing is that driver wants this amount at dropped location... STOP MAKING FOOL TO CUSTOMERS THIS IS NOT HAPPENING FOR THE FIRST TIME. Being a genuine person I am calling from my side that amount is not deducted and I am being interrogated and why this amount was not paid...???? When nothing worked on me from Meru side...then Extra Amount to pay???? How irresponsible behaviour and treatment from your side given to your LOYAL customer????????????/ I need following: - Proper Invoice (then only Service tax and other taxes applicable) - In Lieu of Invoice I will deduct *service tax on metered fare @ 5.6% and on other charges @ 14% and inform Tax department about non-receipt of Invoice against service rendered.

                I have booked the meru cab for 29 Aug 2015 pick up at 6:30 AM from my residence, reference no 43820789. I have booked the cab on 28th Aug evening well in advance but on 29 at 6:15 AM one person name Naveen called me from [protected] and informed me that they can't provide cab due unavailability of the cabs, I was suppose to catch a train and due to your irresponsible act i was suppose to miss the train. I am going to write all this incident in all the networking sites as well as in consumer forum.

                  I booked Meru Cab thru Mobile app for airport drop (Bangalore international airport) from my residence ( Yelahanka New town) for 24th August at 5.000 am. I promptly got the acceptance with ref no: 43643464on 23rd august. Today Morning I got the sms as per the protocol at 4.37 for stating that Meru has allocated a Genie cab from Meru as the Meru cab is not available in my area. The GENIE Car no : KA02AE5464, Chauffer: Rajesh N, mobile no: [protected] was send with a promise to pick me at 5.00 AM There was no called received from Driver as a confirmation call, and he was not reachable, as the phone was switched off. I was in utter panic as there was no other way and all attempt to reach MERU customer service on[protected], was futile as it was put thru automated answering machine. Having no option in sight I have to chose, what I have most. I hve booked OLA cabs for airport drop with huge peak hour charges. What was more intriguing for me was a SMS at 6.18 am showing the Trip tracking details for above mentioned cab and showing the trip completed . This is third such incident in past 2 months with me in Bangalore. Earlier complaints were not responded as well. I am looking for an answer from Meru management, on this type of customer services, and what action are they taking on such incident. Can they share the closure of action taken on such irresponsible behavior fromt the cab drivers.

Booking id 43094944, for a travel distance of 25kms, you charged me for 39 kms which is a complete fraud. I understand there could have been a issue with the APP, my complaint was registered to be solved in 48 hours, after 48 hours an agent told me in will be resolved in 7 more hours by evening. Since 8 august nobody has called me and i have called Meru 8 times, and people have either disconnected saying we are transferring to supervisor but never did. Mr Sudeep after 48 hours said we are sorry your complaint is not here let me register again. After a week Mr Sundeep Reddy Mumbai, informed me that our CRT has sent you an email, but after 15 mins he himself accepted no email was sent in last 8 days. Once again he lied and said our supervisor will call you in 15 mins, i m giving you the surety, but again nobody called me back. Claims to be number on company and full of agents with Lies. I called again spoke to another agent and Mr zanghir as it was no more abt the money as i have spent more money on call with these people then i was actually complaining about. It was about a fraud and the way they treat us customers. So finally a supervisor Sagufta Arab from Mumbai promised me, my complaint would be resolved today. People full of lie say now my phone was not reachable, let me inform you i have a miss call alert option if my phone is not reachable i would no if somebody call me. Let me inform you stop making fool of your customers. I will complaint in consumer court with a proof of all call recordings and receipt and the distance traveled and all the calls record. And on every social media possible because you are liers.

                    So finally after the social media pressure Meru 2 staff members and the manager called me and promise me a refund of first 170 then 150 more, . I told them as i was cheated i need a refund of my full trip as i dont want to use meru again. They said they dont have a compensation policy.
                    You have staff that make mistakes, you have supervisors that make false promises. You have staff who disconnects your calls. You have drivers and app which overcharge people and after all your mistakes you dont have a compensation policy.
                    The manager Michelle was adamant that thts the best we can offer, i was not there for a offer Michelle, i was there to fight for consumers, because one customer might not be alot for u, being a big brand. But as i have spent 10 days fighting you people, i can spend another 10 days. I have already spend more amount on calls.
                    So no matter how many more post, or how many more tweets, email, like and shares will require you to understand that one customer time and money is also important i will keep on doing this.

                    Michelle accepted that they cheated however still didnt provided me a proper resolution, what she offered me on call i denied and still wrote me a different email changing her words all together with a discount coupon, which they cleary not understand" I DONT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH A FRAUD COMPANY, WHO OVERCHARGES LIKE MERU, WHO STAFF INCLUDING THE SUPERVISORS & MANAGERS DOESNT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS, SO YOU PEOPLE CAN KEEP YOUR DISCOUNT COUPON TO URSELF" Kindly refund my amount that's all. I understand you people are so busy that you can send an email first but if a customer reply you dont bother at all to revert that. Last 11 days has proved meru is so busy that the whole staff cannot resolve one single complaint.

                      This morning (15 July 2015) at around 7.50 am, when I was driving past Baptist Hospital on New Bellary Road, a Meru Cab -KA 53 A 7352-with a passenger in it-was driving in a very rash manner zig zagging through traffic. He nearly was about to hit my car because of which I was forced to swerve to the left to avoid colliding with him. In the process my car nearly collided with an auto full of people -luckily there was no accident and no one was hurt. The cab driver continued to drive rashly and was trying to get away. Near Makery Circle, due to traffic, he had to slow down. AT that point, I took a picture of his registration plate (attached below) which he noticed me doing in his rear view mirror. He immediately stopped his cab, came out and started abusing me as well as tried to physically assault me. He even tried to snatch away my car keys and threatened me. I reported the matter to a traffic policeman who was there and gave him the cab number. Meru cabs-YOU GUYS ARE PATHETIC!! No sense of etiquette in your drivers-no decency! Rest assured I will not be taking one from now on-for sure you've lost my business as I'm a frequent traveller.

                        Hi, Meru cabs these days are providing worst possible services to customers. Today I had booked a Meru Genie cab for 20:15, 2 hours before the journey. My booking id is:42140611. They confirmed the cab availability and send me the confirmation. But i didn't receive the cab details 15 minutes prior to the journey. Even they didn't intimate me about the unavailability of the cab. Even worse on calling their customer care, they informed that the cab is unavailable and booking is rejected. They provided me an option of Meru cab at higher rate, which is much more expensive than Meru Genie. This is a sheer exploitation of an helpless customer in need. They don't even facilitate up-gradation to Meru when Meru Genie was unavailable. I was already delayed by 1/2 hour at 9:00 PM night. How can someone rely on their service with such a disgusting experience. Going forward I would never ever use Meru cab service. I am sharing this story on this broader platform to expose the continuously deteriorating services of Meru with of the viewers and would strongly recommend against using their service. If company is still responsive to my pain and inconvenience then better try to improve your service and provide me the compensation for the lost time and money. Regards, Archana.. [protected]

                            I booked Meru Cab on 03 Jul 2015 for journey from Kadubheshanahalli (Bangalore) to Bangalore City Station. The pick up time was 5:45 am in the morning. I got the reservation 20 minutes prior to our journey with Driver details. However even after many repeated calls to driver he did not picked up the call neither we received any cancellation message. It was really hard for us to find a taxi or cab or bus so early in the morning. We had to walk 2 kms with heavy luggage and waste 30 minutes to find an auto adding tension whether we will be able to catch train or not. We reached station 5 mins before our train and had to really run to catch it. It is realy sad that service provider with such a big name can ruin the start for your journey. Witha promise to help customer to make their journey safe and easy these people donot even have the manners to inform in case there is cancellation of cab. Very poor customer management. People can not rely on them.

I got your reference no 41708604 & also in early morning got Cab details : No- UP14ET4351, Chauffer- Rajveer Singh Mob. [protected]. I called up many times but he didn't respond then i called to CC they said he didn't pick the call & they can't arrange the Genie cab if you want to go then arrange ur vehicle or use our Meru cab (23/KM).At last moment i have no option & booked meru @ 23/km. Now i am going to lodge consumer/police complint regarding misbehaviour & at last moment to force booked cab @ higher price while i have already booked @ lower. My New booked Taxi- DL1YR4704

                                I have booked a merucab for pickup on 8.10am from thane east, they grant me a cab on 9.10am, 1hour late from pickup timing, by which we get late for airport leads to missed of flight . This also made loss of my hotel booking of jammu for 2days n further bookings .i want a compensation of my all bookings for meru . Because of their poor service.

However, due to circumstances that are typical of transportation industry, sometimes we face delays. We look at a 5km radius for dispatching the cab. Hence, the cab availability status changes frequently in a given period of time as the cabs enter and exit that region. At the point when booking executive called, there were no cabs available in the given region. But within next 10 minutes a cab had entered that region/logged in, which is when the executive confirmed the booking.                                   For just 5.2 KM and a 13 minute ride with minute as waiting they charged me Rs.266(Booking Ref. No. [protected] I would suggest to choose uber next time.

                                    The worst experience I have ever had, I booked the cab today 5th June 2015, PFB the details Booking Ref. No: 40571386 Cab No: KL32B8726 Chauffeur Name: Suseelan We have booked the cab from ernakulam south to padivattom (Ernakulam). But cab not reached, while calling chauffeur said like he assigned somebody else to pick up. But nothing happened and ends with taking an auto. Interestingly I got trip receipt saying that 37 km travelled and charged Rs.582.

                                      As per the claim which Meru Cabs take that they provide free rides if the Customer is availing the Meru Cab service for the first time. I have a complaint that this is totally wrong in my case. I availed the service in Pune to go to Airport & the charge was Rs 112 but at the Airport the Cab Driver started asking me for the money. I then called the Meru Customer Care from the Airport & made the driver talk with the Customer Care. Later on the Meru Customer Care guy talked to me and gave me assurance that I should pay the driver at the moment and they will arrange a call in a day or two to refund my money. The call never came from their end, so I called back twice & each time they gave me the same assurance that my issue will be resolved. I am sorry to say but all the assurance were fake and the never returned back the call. Though the amount was not big, but this broke my trust as I cant keep on calling these people for the same issue again & again. Meru Cabs should not mislead people by giving such fake offers. Uber & Ola have provided far better service then them. I request that licence of Meru Cabs must be cancelled for Pune region atleast. I have unistalled the app & also asked all the people whom I know never to avail Meru services.

I also request the Consumer Complaints forum dept. to keep a check on all these Cab service providers regarding the increasing issues people are facing these days specially girls.

                                        I had a good impression about Meru cab service till few months ago. But now your service is really horrible. The drivers are reaching wrong pickup locations or they deny to come at the last moment, this has created lot of inconveniences at emergency situations, so many times. The service has become pathetic. Note that other cab services are punctual, this will definitely impact Meru's business. I personally will never suggest anyone for meru, instead i will discourage people to avail Meru cab services. They are loosing so many valuable customers who had trusted their service at some point of time. Looking forward to a poor business performance of Meru. Trusting them has really caused lot of inconveniences and that too due to last moment cancellation by them
