[Resolved]  Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic — touch screen not working, just bought it few months back.

initially its radio wasnt working which gort fixed after keeping the phone for a week in nokia care... the touchscreen started giving problems right from the beginning... 2 weeks back it just got stuck.. given again to nokia care... no reply for last 2 weeks... feels like wasted Rs 20000 !!! whom to approach regarding this problem... at present using a friends phone...

im planning to buy a nokia 5800 model..is it really not advisable to buy this product? do these problems come up with every 5800, or is it just some models that have these problems.. i really need sugestions on this

Nokia 5800 — The call switch and the touchscreen is not working properly

i bought a nokia 5800 music express before some days and after 2 and half days the call switch was not working and the touch screen too.Nokia is reliable company but i think i make a terrible mistake by choosing this set..!!!

Read to this before buying NOKIA5800-Touch Screen. I purchased 5800 on the 30th November 2009. I brought will all sought of imagination. But every thing was gone in 10 days time. First problem i got is if i connect my headset and started to hear any music or making any call, volume will be decreased automatically. I immediately took it to the NOKIA CARE Center in my area (Perambur). I should not say it is Nokia Care Center, Its Nokia Dosen't Care Center for complaints.The person who is sitting in the counter got my mobile and siad that it may be due to software problem. we will load u the new version.Within 2 ours i got my mobile back. i WAS HAPPY that my problem got rectified. But the real problem started from there only, for next 2 days i don't have any problem. from day 3 onwards i started to face the same problem. I waited for another 2 days to check whether its repeating. All of shock for me, in those two days, my mobile started to hang, touch screen is not working properly. these problem is happening without inserting my memory card. Imagine what will happen if i insert my card. So i took back to same nokia care center, there i didnt receive a proper explanation from the person who is sitting in the counter. He is not even care to listen our complaint, he was busy in doing other billing work. later he took and gave me the job card and said contact after 10 days. its almost 6 days over till now i didnt get any information what's the problem with my mobile.

So what i think that once i get back my serviced mobile, I going for resale it and switch over to the other company like samsung, lg or sony

I purchased Nokia 5800 in November 2009. It has started giving problems of late. I am able to receive incoming calls by screen touch nor am I able to switch off alarm by screen touch. Most of the time, I am constrained to disconnect the call by pressing the red button and then make the call by accessing missed calls. I am totally disgusted with this model. I had given it to Nokia Care. They say the problem has been sorted out by installing new software. But I don't find the problem being sorted out
Evevn I purchased 5800 in May 09. I think i wasted my 21000. Its not worth. Every now and then i face new problems. Firsly the sceen was changing colors immediately after purchasing. Then I got it replaced from the store.

Then after two days the new phone also started giving problem with screen. The the Nokia care replaced the screen. now the screen is not responding properly. If i am pressing on 7 key, it will type 8. I am really bugged up.

Nokia — Repeat complaints

As i purchase the nokia N97-Mini on 2010. After 4 months the phone getting Hanging, Heating, Auto Switch Off. More than 6 times i took the phone to nokia care : Rocky Agency in Gopalapuram, But each and every time they update the software & return backto me. This is 7th time i took the phone at the same place and this time also they update the software & said that the problem is solved. After that i call the service engineer & shows him that the problem is still there. My Job sheet No:[protected]/110826/25. Dt:26.08.2011. From that day the phone is lying at there only. I call many time to Nokia cust care[protected] and my comp No.1/[protected], The cust care person told me that they are going to call me. After 10 days they call me & ask that wat kind of problem ur facing in your handset, I told them every thing and they said that they ate going to call me & now agian 5 days left & still iam waiting for there call. Kindly take some necessary action on nokia.

Nokia — repeat complaint of touch screen

SIR/MADAM ,
I HAVE NOKIA HANDSET C301 IT HAS BEEN REGULAR PROBLEM OF SCREEN TOUCH IS NOT OPERATING AT ALL ,I HAVE BEEN COMPLATING REGULARLY FOR THIS CONCERN .ONE MONTH BACK I HAVE GIVEN MY MOBILE FOR REPAIR FOR THIS SAME CONCERN (AT ADINATH SHOPPING CENTRE 2ND FLOOR ,NEAR CITY PRIDE MULTIPLEX , SATARA ROAD PUNE .) THEY HAVE KEPT MY HAND SET FOR 12 DAYS BUT THEY HAVE NOT SOLVED YET .WHEN I SWITCH OFF MY HANDSET AND PUT IT ON IT WORKS FINE ALSO THERE IS NETWORK PROBLEM AFTER REPAIRING .PLEASE LOOK IN THIS MATTER AND SOLVE MY PROBLEM . YOURS FAITHFULLY
