[Resolved]  Sony Ericsson Mobile — Service center services

I have purchased this mobile around 6 months back and now it is not working.I have given it for repair at Sony authorised servicecenter.
now after 1 month they tell me that one part of mobile is not available with
service center. Order for that part is given in sony company but company is not supplying that part.......

Sony Ericsson - Authorised Service Centre — Mobile given for repair at authorised service centre & lost by them

I had purchased a new hand set (sony ericsson W580i) on[protected] . Due to some problem I have handed over my sony ericsson W580i set at the authorised service centre of Sony Ericsson for repair ( replacing the key – which was on right side disconnecting button ) on 21/04/2009. They asked me to wait for 10 minutes after that they said there is problem in the board. The service centre person told me it will take 15 days time for getting the same repaired. After 15 days when I called to that service center they said it will take another one week, the problem in the set has not been resolved & will take 1 more weeks. One day I had sent mail to the in charger of that service center on[protected] and she had replied immediately sayting (Hi Madam, With the reference mail request you to kindly request give us sla of 48hrs. We will deliever the handset.) again had sent mail on[protected] asking (Hi Durga, Good Morning, When can I come to your office to collect my handset.) for that she had replied on same day saying (Dear Madam, tomorrow you can collect your handset) .Went to the center to collect my handset they were showed somebody’s hand set and immediately I called up that lady (Nirmala) she asked me to meet next day. I visited the service center next day the lady over there asked me to wait for approx.1 hr & after that she gave me the set which was not mine. The Handset given to me was not mine & when I told the same to her, she replaced the same & handed me another one which too was not mine . It is almost more than a month still I have not received my handset. They had changed my battery and all and there were telling me one big story. Due to their carelessness this has happened and even the incharger had agreed for that.

There was one small mark on the key pad of my sony ericsson W580i set which I have not told them which helps me in identifying mine. Since the very first visit they were handing me some other set .

Rs10300/- approx. is not a small amount

every phone has a unique number which helps us to identify the phone called the IMEI no.
check in the purchased bill of the phone, the IMEI no will be written.it will be also written in ur warrinty card and also will be printed in the box of your phone.
check the IMEI no in your phone and those documents matches.

this is how u check IMEI no in your phone::
in standby mode type" *#06# "
without the vraces
your IMEI no will be displayed
if they dont match tell them to gv your phone or replace with a new handset.

even i had the same problem with my sonyerricson K850i the key pad strip was damaged n when i sent it to service centre, they said me they dnt have dat part.n will come after one week, i went back again after 1 week, but still the part dint came, they said it will now not come as their is no stock of this part with company
I have given my Song Ericsson P990i which is not under warranty for repairs at one of your authorized service centre i.e. "Eternity Mall, Teen Hath naka", at the time I gave the phone I was told that it would cost me Rs. 281 if repaired, if not I would be charged Rs. 150. Also i was told that the repair was would be done and given back in 5 days, however it has been more than 10 days and now they are telling me that the spares are not available hence he cannot tell how long it will take, also he cannot give a rough estimate. They also refuse to give a receipt of the Rs. 150 which would be charged.

Is this the type of sub standard customer service we should expect? because it shows how low you value your customers that you dont even keep proper control measures on your "Authorized Service Centres"

Its Roller fixed on L.H.side is not working.

This Roller is being used to shift the ADD contacts & very useful.

I have purchas a Sonu K810I mobile in June 2008 . After some time i have faced some problems in my phone .
1 . Auto focus system not work in camera .
2 . Phone not charge

And not it is totally dead . Its power is not on .
Still it is in warranty period .

HAVE PURCHASED SONY ER. K810i cyber shot for rs. 12500. first 6 months it was ok but after that it started giving problems. the problem was of auto swith off n den 1 day cell was automatically switched for along period.i go to thane service centre & they people gave me back this mobile after 1 n half month. but again problem occured. n dis time problem are like buttons are not in a working condition and speakers having low volume even after i have set it to full. please help me what do i do...?

I have a W910i which is still under warranty. I had to give it to the service centre 3 times within this period.

I had asked for a replacement the 2nd time it started giving problem, they told me to try it out this last time. If it again gives problem they will give me a replacement.Now this time when it again gave me problem I asked for a replacement, they are refusing to give any replacement.

I have also refused to accept the same handset back, I want to lodge a complaint in the consumer court againt Sony.

Can anyone tell me how to proceed ?

Sony Ericsson-Mobile W760i — After Sales Service Problem

Dear Sir/Madam,

In the month of October I have purchased Sony Ericission Mobile handset model no. W760i.
From the purchasing date to till date this, I facing a problem of Charging Connector and Sliding, for this I had visited Sony Ericission Service Center 6 times. 4 times at Okhala Service Center and 2 times at Lajpat Nagar Service Center.This Set is still with Lajpat Nagar Sevice Center from 5th june,

Two times i have personally visited every time they give the next date. 26.06.09 is my written delivery date, but I have received the same repated message from Lajpat Nagar Service Center.

Every Time the service center not done theire job properly and I have to switched Off my mobile No. for a long time.

In the Present Situation, its very tough for a human being to missed a calls from Office, Friends, Relatives.

Its a reqest please advise me the correct path to overcome this problem

I have purchased one Sony mobile model is G502 just 7 months before. His LCD is broken. I am in touch with authorised service center in Kolkata since last 2 months. Some times they pickup the mobile but several times service center not pickup the mobile also. I am ready to pay the cost of LCD. But LCD is not available at service center. Need your support to resolve my problem.

sony erricson W580i — carelessness of the sevice centre

Hello SirMadam,

I am writing a complaint against the Sony Ericson Service Centre, Sector 18-D, Sco-23, Chandigarh. I was extremely dissapointed to find such an unproffessional attitude from the service centre of your esteemed company. Me and my entire family was very optimistic about using sony erricson handsets and have been using your hansets for the past six years but I feel very sorry to say that, the attitude of the people of the above stated centre has completly discouraged me and my kins for further purchase of any products from your company. I am currently using W580i, which i purchased on 13th September, 2008, but in the month of April, this cell phone started giving me the following problems:

1. Improper voice clarity.
2. Charging was shown but wasn't charging.
3. Hanging of the handset.

I took the set to the Sony Erricson Service centre, sector 18, Chandigarh. On 9th June, 2009 after a wait of approximately two hours, it was my turn to get the service. The atmosphere of the service centre was exremely unapproachable and very casual. No proper guidelines were mentioned anywhere and two receptionists were sitting who were making a record of the complaints and making the charge sheets. They had absolute no idea of the technical knowhow. I logged my complaint with them and told them the entire problem, to my surprise, without even listening to the entire situation they told me to get my mobile's sofware updated. Thereafter, I lost the track of my entire phonebook and certain important text messages, for which I had to suffer heavily. On asking as to when can I collect my phone, I was very casualy replied to call them up and confirm. Two days after, I called at the service station for about 5 times which went unanswered. I got lucky at the sixth time and thereafter they said they'll update me with the information by calling me back, which never in life happened.
I made a call to them after a week as I had to go out of Chandigarh, and they said that my handset was ready to collect. On reaching there I asked them to show me the working but they were all illequipped. I had no choice but to come back and check the working myself. There was absolutely no change made, only thing was that I suffered my phonebook and texts. Wondering that probably my battery was out of order, I replaced it myself, inspite of my mobile being in warrenty period. But it made no further change. Then my friend suggested that may be my mobile's motherboard is not functional.
On 18th June, 2009 I visited them once again and told them the entire saga, they were still not able to gauge the problem. So I told them myself that the motherboard needs replacement. THIS CAME AS A SHOCK TO ME THAT THEY COULD NOT EVEN GAUGE A SIMPLE PROBLEM. They again kept my cell with them for the motherboard replacement and promised me to return it within a week's time. After a week, I again called them to confirm but they said that it's in process and will be done by 1st, July.
On 1st July, I was hoping to get my cellphone back but their cold and careless attitude worsened the situation even further. They had the same reply to give, "MADAM, ABHI NAHI HUA HAI, PHONE KARKE POOCH LENA" (Call up and confirm). This irritaed the hell out of me. They had no satisfactory or proffessional argument to give.
This kind of service has highly discourged me from using the cellphones or rather any product of your comapany. I have faced immense harrasement. I FINALLY HOPE THAT YOU WOULD LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE AND REPLACE MY MOBILE, DUE TO THE HARRASSMENT AND UNSATISFACTORY SERVICE I FACED. AS I WOULD HAVE NO FURTHER CHOICE BUT TO SEEK HELP FROM THE CONSUMER FORUM.

i had bought Z555i and it had software problem .then charging problem then now its malfunctioning .i dont know what to do ?
I had purchased Sony W595 mobile on 22/06/2009 from Croma Rohini vikash surya shopping mall plot no -18, mangla place Rohini, New Delhi-110085. Within 2 days time of purchase there was a problem in the no text or picture in display & other display problem and we complained first at service center (RT Outsourceing service ltd Deepali Chowk Rohini, ) on 25 th june 2009 for repair. Its only one day same problem & then i also suffer and same day go & hansdset given to Service centre, work order number provided by service centre are SE309RDC10128 & SE309RDC10185.. The service center person after umpteen number of calls from our side gave some reason or the other for delay. We are concerned at the customer care and till today for replacement of handset evening, the complaint is not solved and we have not yet received the mobile.

Sony Ericsson Z555 — inappropriate response from service centre

I have sumitted my sony ericsson z555 in panipat centre on 20 june 2009 and I have not got my cell
till 7 july 2009. Every time I called at the centre I was told that it will take time. Sir I bought the set
on 1 june 2009 & in just 20 days it stopped working.I also called the complaint no.[protected].
I was given a complaint no.[protected] & no further details were given. but for your kind
information details of the set are (IMEI no[protected]Sir I request you to take
concern on this as soon as possible.
