[Resolved]  Sony Ericsson W580i — mobile repair

i have a handset of sony ericsson w580i. i have buyed it in feb 2008 for rs 10,800/-. i used it only 8 months. after that i have changed script more than 5 time. n most of the time script is not matched if matched it work only for 5 to 6 months. now i m fed up by this handset.my handset no is fcc id:PY7A1052042 AND TYPE:AAC[protected]BV. NOW i have changed script but my keypad is not working. customer care is alos not giving me service properly. my cell number [protected].serviec centar of ahmednagar, maharashtra told me that my mobile motherboard is dameged. i havedused my cell very properly. plz help me as soon as possible. plz do something about my handset.

I bought a new mobile (sonyerricson w580i)on DEC -31-2007 from saravana stores.., from the first day i found that it was defective "Bluetooth is not working" from the first day. so i retun the full mobile kid to sony errison service center.. in T. nagar, till now i didnt receive my mobile.. please do the needfull to get my mobile..

Gentlemen,

Sub: - Deficiency of Service reg my mobile.

I am to submit that I had purchased a mobile Sony Ericsson model No.W580i, Black from M/s SANGEETHA a show room at Dabagardens, Visakhapatnam on dt:[protected] bill copy being enclosed.

Right from the date of purchase within a few days, the set is giving trouble and when I have contacted the show room they have diverted me to you servicing center and you centre has informed that it is
1) Software problem
2) Network problem
And the set is being retained for one or two days and telling us that it is o.k and the same have been repeated more than three times, and later on again trouble erupted and you have informed that there is mother board problem, and has replaced the same with No.[protected] and again after the same is replaced the trouble is coming and the latest is on[protected].
We have again contacted you on[protected], where in you have informed that again problems (1. mobile suddenly hanged 2. Out going massages are not going 3. If call any body every half minute cut of the phone 4. Emergency calls only 5. erase the data
6. Some times photos, videos or phone numbers are not saved 7. Some times mobile is not switch off button not working 8. Your not giving Job Sheet ( visiting card given only) ) has arisen and will be doing the necessary thing with in a day, but so far in spite of my repeated visits there is no positive response from you end.
In view of the above problems, I request you to kindly replace the set with a new mobile as it is unfortunate that within a span of five months, more than 10 times the problem has arisen and it is causing me a lot of inconvenience and I am loosing lot of reputation amongst may clients as it is indicating that I am not responding to them properly, but the actual fact being I am not in possession of any mobile which is ultimately leading to clashes between myself and my clients.
So in order to over come may problem I request you to kindly change my set and issue me a new set, so as to end my menace.

Hello sir;
I am a frequent user of Sony products. I am using SONY VAIO LAPTOP VGN-C13G-W model. Also a SONY WALKMAN. But I am totally disappointed with the quality of Sony products. Actually on 7th Nov 2007, I purchased a Sony Ericsson w580i set IMEI no[protected] from your authorized shop SIDHIVINAYAK, mourya tower, mourya lok complex, Patna 800001, by paying RS. 12, 000/- only. Just after 40 days I found problem with the joy stick of the phone, so I went to the service centre where they cleaned the joy stick and then it was working, but again after 3weeks the same problem exists. Again in the beginning of the month of January 2008 I found that the mobile is getting restart while listening music. I went to the service centre and there they formatted and reloaded the software. Again after some days I found a problem with the jack through which earphone or charger is connected, it was not working and earphone or charger or data cable gets disconnected while process of working. I went to the service center and they changed the jack but it was not done properly and also my mobile was scratched while the process of changing the jack. But nothing is made appropriately therefore all the above problem still exists in the mobile and when I go the service centre they without entering in the complain dairy or without filling the complain form just do the temporary work. Recently on 17th June 2008 I found that my left side of the ear phone is not working, so I went to the service centre there they without listening me properly took the phone and changed the jack which connects the earphone and mobile, but still the problem was there. They again took my mobile and asked me to wait for an hour, (I repeat without filling the consumer form) and then they said that the MOTHER BOARD (something as EBS I don’t know) is damaged and they don’t have that particular part. They asked me to keep coming to the service centre or come after 30 days. Now the condition is that after spending RS 12, 000/- I am not having a facility of the good and perfect mobile. I purchased the Sony Ericsson Mobile for listening music but right from the beginning I am having problems with my mobile and which will continue for next 30-40 days. Also my warranty period is going to be over and after that what will happen I don’t know.
I am filing a complain against the owner of the Sony India hoping that they will Provide Me A Another New Sony Ericsson Mobile Which Current Market Price Is Rs 12, 000/- because I had spent that much amount of money but did not enjoy the facility and functions of my mobile or will replace with new Sony Ericsson w580i including some accessories so that the current total price becomes RS 12000. I Am Totally Disappointed With The Product Quality Of Sony Ericsson W580i. Kindly fulfill my demands Or I Am Free to File A PIL or Go to the Consumer Forum.
Please reply as soon as possible.

Sub : Repairing of my Mobile W580i within warranty period as facing number of problems, Its replacement thereof.

R/ Sir,

I, the undersigned had purchased W580i mobile handset from Hanfi’s collection, Aurangabad on dtd 11.11.2007.The company on its website given that, this mobile will provide battery back up of 9 hrs talktime, but I was not getting that, hence I had given my mobile to company’s service centre M/s Debug multi services on 05.12.07.But the problem was not solved.I had contacted on mobile to Mr Subhin & Mr. Wilson, Managers of the company.As per their advise the Battery was replaced by Hanfi collection.But by using this new battery also I could not get the backup.Further during use I got the new Problem of Battery charger & Earspeaker sound of it become very low.This time I went to new service centre at Canught, CIDCO, Aurangabad.He had replaced these both items but I was not satisfied with the performance of earspeaker.Again I got new problem, the back up to memorystick was not done.So, I have deposited the mobile to company’s service centre on dtd 22.09.2008 with stating all the previous problems & also asked to repair it properly as I cannot spare my handset repeatedly for repairs.The service centre tech.had tried at his level best, but could not solve the problems so he has asked me to keep the mobile with him to send it to Chennai for level 3 repair and he has send the complaint to company for replacement of mother board on 03.10.2008.After 29 days i.e. on 20.10.08 service centre has called me that the mobile has repaired pl.collect it .Ihave collected it on same day &checked it but none of the problems solved.I have written on job sheets that I am not satisfied about repairs.
From last 2 days I am getting new problem i.e.The back key is not operating.
Presently, I am getting following problems
1 Battery backup is only 2-3 hrs talktime instead of 9 hrs.
2 Earspeaker sound is very low.
3 Keypad keys are defective (Broken) not replaced.
4 Backup to memory stick operation not working.
5 Back key is not operating due to which handset cannot be used. I am getting lot of problems due to non use of mobile .
So, I request you, kindly to give replacement of this handset immediately, otherwise I may go for further Legal actions against the company which you may not desire.

i submit my mobile in sony service center since 14 march 2009 because of its call key not working, crack on numaric keypad, FM not working and on/off problem but till date i am not getting any possitive reply from service center and sony ericsson Customer care. Sony Ericsson W580i — While using BSNL SIM, it shows SIM not found

Hi,
I bought this mobile in US (with unlocked). While trying to use BSNL sim, it shows the message as SIM not found / Insert SIM card like that. While using Aircel / Airtel SIM cards, there are no issues. It's working fine. Any idea, why BSNL SIM is not working in this mobile?

Sony Ericsson W580i — Defective W580i

I purchased walkman sony w580i on 30.05.2009. Within a month the set needed the repair as nothing could be seen on the screen, not even the number entered.

So I contacted the seller Sony World at Sector 18 who very politely told me that nothing can be done by him and that it is neeru enterprises who deals with such complaints. I gave the set to them for repair.

Today is 30th July and I have been turned back very politely every 3-4 days on the plea that they have not received the LCD sets from the company. They are not even in a position to give any tentative date.

Under the circumstances, I want either my set to be repaired immeidately, or it should be replaced with a working set or Rs 8900 be refunded to me.

This is in regards to my mobile which i purchased 2 months before and its giving me lot and lot of bactery problem. Its is not giving more than 3 hours and if at all I am using bluetooth then its wont give for 2 hours also.
I even went to customer service which is of no use, they just took my mobile and dont know what they did but I lost contact informations and all the data.

I have purchased Mobile Phone six month Back, during this period phone has given me a problem twice, when first time i have given my phone i got the phone after 1 month, now i have given the phone second time on 24 th of September 2009, the service center no. which shows on worksheet[protected], i am trying from last 8 days but the same massage i am hearing "phone is busy", I have lounge a complain in Sony Ericsson call center (complain ID[protected] on aprox 6 days back, the cervices center told me "we will revert back within 48 hr" but still there is no reply from them, now what should I do & where should I go?

I purchased my first W580i in Sept. 08, no problems until Sept 09 when I logged onto the Update service center provided by Sony and my phone went completely dead and wouldn't turn back on even with a replacement battery. When I called the service dept. I had read that my phone was under warranty for 1 1/2 after purchase. The man who answered the 1st call said OK then checked all my info and put me on hold. He then proceeds to tell me that no my warranty had expired two days earlier and there was nothing they could do about my phone not working. I told him I was reading a PDF file from Sony that stated differently, so he puts me on hold for about 5 more minutes. Comes back on and told me to refresh the screen. So when I did guess what, it had been changed. So we have another phone(w580i) and the same thing happened, I just called this evening because the numbers and letters on the phone were large and blurry. He asks me the questions(info on the phone) and said that this phone was under warranty until the end of the month. He said to first try and update thru the website(which I thought maybe they had fixed whatever was wrong with this since the other phone I had) and if that didn't work to call back and we would send it in. Well he and I were disconnected and I had to call back, because after I tried to update it said "none were available I already had the latest version and if I was still having problems to reinstall", so that was what I did. Well the next guy I get goes thru all the bells and whistles even though I give him my info and wanted to speak with the man I had gotten disconnected with. But he says he didn't know who that was and asks for my info again on the phone. I give him this and then he says "Oh your warranty expired 10 days ago". I told him how I had the exact same thing happen the last time I called and had to deal with them. I also told him to let me talk to the person who said I was under warranty until the end of the month and he jerked around for a few minutes then gives me a guys name and said I could talk to him tomorrow. I told him I did not want to talk to him anymore because he wasn't helping me. I did what the tech guy said to do and my phone will not turn on at all!! And now this guy is going to tell me that my phone is OUT of warranty!!! This is not right it's wrong! So I'm going to call back in the am and hopefully speak to someone who is not trying to "jerk" customers around who are loyal and buy their products, unless that's how Sony is teaching their Customer Support Reps to just tell everybody that "your warranty has expired yesterday"!Then I guess I'll be buying an APPLE!
I purchased Sony Ericsson W580i from a reputed electronics showroom on July, 2008 from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Till now I was very satisfied with the performance of it. But now I am facing some problems with the mobile, such as display, charging, PC sync and hanging at times. Can I know the address of the Sony Ericsson Service centre in United Arab Emirates (UAE) or is it possible to replace the mobile.
