[Resolved]  Tata AIG General Insurance Company Ltd — Cheating thru phone and taking unauthorised premiums

I would like to bring to your attention, the false-game by TATA AIG insurance team.

I have sent a Regd letter to them on 7th June 2010 request to revert in 15 days time, but not reverted so far.

I have made a telecon on 18/5/10 and while starting the call, I specifically informed them that everytime when I request policy cancellation, line gets deactivated deliberately. The receptionist mentioned about Cancellation request number to take from the cancellation dept, but they are not listening for further conversation and putting on mute. I informed them that if it is not happening this time, I would inform Ombudsman office. Request your office help to discontinue this policy and thus the auto debit from my credit card and reversal o[censored]nauthorised instalments.

When customers contact to their toll-free number and ask for cancellation of policy, they will put for mute for 1 or 2 minutes and then get disconnected everytime. It is clear cheating to customers.

Kindly advice me in this regard. I want to stop it immediately. If there is any requirement for further information, pls advice me.

TATA AIG General insurance LTD — Frauds in cancellation

I had a invitational Offer policy from TATA AIG thru my HSBC Credit Card. As per the policy I was convered for 2 months REview period with 10 Rupees premium per month. As per the policy I was allowed to cancel the policy within the stipulated 2 months time, then there will be no extra premium charges applied.
As per the guidelines given, my policy started on 14 July 2008 and it was to be there for review till 13 SEP 2008.
I was nto satisfied with the policy and I wanted to cancel the same within review period.
ON 4-September 2008 in the morning time I called them up and asked for Policy cancellation. The representative from their Call Center confirmed that my Policy is cancelled and he gave me the confirmation number "728485" for the same. I wass told that I will be getting my Cancellation letter within 10 days and my poilcy satnds cancelled.
To my utter surprise when I checked for my Credit card statement on 16th September I found out that TATA AIG has chargedme third months Full premium of 329 Rupees from my Credit Card.
On calling them for this I got the response that the policy was cancelled on 4th September and assurance that the team will look into it.
For their help as requeste dby them I sent them a soft copy of my Credit Card statemement as well.
Again to my surprise when today I called them up, I found out that the Policy Cancellation date has been changed in their system.
The response from them was that very rude and it is a clear case of Financial forgery, they are nmot following the guidelines of RBI for Data and Call recording and denying that they dont have recordings for my 4th September's Calls.
This is very searious ceoncern and Criminal activity from TATA AIG site.

on 12th January 2009 this company approached me for health care policy online and took my credit card no and assured me that policy draft will be sent within 7 days and they would call if I accept the policy after reading it.But on 14th Jan itself my Citibank card was debited by Rs 5711.Even that is not done.
The Blue dart consignment number given was showing 'not found' on blue dart website.Then I was told policy could not be sent as mine was non delivery station.After few days I was told policy he's been delivered to some Mr Gupta, Then I was told it was now resent on 27th january by post then new dates were given for 4th February and 2nd February.Fed up I asked for reversal of charges as I don't want to deal with such company and that too in insurance product.
But till 14 th February neither any policy is received nor any refund made.meanwhile I Was told that only rs 5033 are to be refunded as policy was cancelled, .But I never got any policy.Even legal notices of cheating, fraud and consumer court and IRDA compliant has not made any difference.TATA AIG it seems is out on online fraud, cheating and misappropriation of funds of customers.
people should avoid this company and launch police and consumer court complaints and send complaints to IRDA Chairman.Publicise such messages to as many people as possible to save citizens of India from fraud and harassment and third class services of such badly manged companies.
Please read amount as Rs 6711 and not 5711

TATA AIG GENERAL INSURANCE — Wrong information provided to get the policy active

Hi,
I took Health Care policies from TATA AIG last year in my name and my parent's name. When the policies expired this April, I received a call from TATA AIG saying that since I haven't made any claims last year, I can get the entire premium back once I get my policies active again. I wasn't convinced but they called by more than 10 times through different people to get me convinced. Once I got the policies activated and the premium was deducted from my credit card, I called TATA AIG to cancel my policy, so that i can get the entire amount the both year's premium refunded back. To this, they said there's so no such policy of their's to refund the premium amount. Moreover, they are taking ages to cancel even my present running policies and refund the amount for present year.
Kindly help.

Dear Sir, Madam

I am not using the HSBC credit card since I had received it. My HSBC card number is [protected]. HSBC has tie-up with TATA AIG Insurance co., I never had shown my interest for TATA AIG Insurance, without my knowledge they had sent it to me. without informing to me they have debited some premium amount. without my any confirmation HSBC added charges for TATA AIG Policy in my account. I called several times for last 1 year. They said the charges will be wiped off but all in vain. Now they are adding finance fees & insurance installment each time & sending me statement 10th April 09. I was naturally shocked as I am a salaried employee and have no other sources of income Despite my request to cancel the policies the same have not been cancelled till date I am fed of doing this stuff again & again, I have just a single request. Please waive of these unwanted charges & send me a statement with the Zero amount due for the payment
I had tried to contact their customer services, experienced a very uncomfortable facilities over there. Now I want to resolve this issue, I have sent mails to their customer services also ([protected]@hsbc.co.in).
Request you if anyone helps me out, I believe I was not in fault and I am deeply disappointed with HSBC for doing this. I am seriously considering going to the consumer court and fight it out. What do the members of this forum think? I am working in Press (India Today Group)
I feel Very bad about HSBC and Tata AIG. They are not suppose to encourage like this. First of all they don't have any rights to issue the Policy by Telephone confirmation without writen approval from the Customer.

I send the request to TATA-AIG Insurance to cancel my policy which I am not interested at all.

The customer service of HSBC is canvasing for TATA-AIG but when I request HSBC to cancel my policy the told me to contact TATA-AIG Insurance. Is this correct????

If this problem is not solved soon HSBC will lose many credit card customers soon...
If HSBC Crdit card department here my voice please cancel my card and reversed the charges charged by you.

Reminder : I have send 25 Request letter but till date i have not receved any sutable answer by your side

Why you are misguiding me??? When I have not adopt any policy and not received any document from Tata Aig Insurance and nor any statement received from hsbc, At the last time 10 April 09 I have received your bill statement then I surprised what is this?????????, and then I contact to you.

I do not want know your management system regarding to Tata plus hsbc, But I only know I will never pay one paisa for this type of fraud

If you are not able to help me then I will go to Consumer Court, Why you not understand the power of a Consumer

TATA AIG General Insurance Company Ltd — Daughter's name not included

Dear Sir,

I was holding Tata AIG's Health care plus policy no HCP[protected] from 19/06/09 to 18/06/2010. After receiving the policy i requested them to include my Daughter's name through telephone for which their executive took the details and promised that amended policy will be sent within 6 wrking days.
1.On 21/07/09 my daughter met with an accident while playing at home and got treated at Sagar hospital Bangalore, for which i spend around Rs 38000/-.
2. when called up Tata AIG on 26/07/09 for claims, to my surprise they told that my daughter's name in not included, i was shocked to hear that.
3. Then on 01/08/09 i told them to cancel the policy to which also they agreed but no action taken.
4. They tell one simple sorry for all their lapses and want me to continue with policy.Every time i speak to a executive, i had repeat my complaints.
5. Finally i got this policy cancelled after lot of heated arguments with one Mr. Manish from cancellation dept. for which they deducted 37% of total premium of Rs 12868/-.

Sir my grievence is, we make insurance to cover ourselves but not for fun. if these lapses they do and say plain sorry where do we go. I request to help me in suing this company for their lapses and want a suitable compensation for this and this is nothing less than Rs 20 lakhs.

TATA AIG GENERAL INSURANCE — They are Cheating

They forced me to agree by calling again and again to take apolicy , they first said in phone that you check the policy details later , if you dont like then cancel. but still now i have not got any policy papers. and they deducted money using my credit card number. Now I called TATA AIG cusomer care to cancel the policy but they are saying i need pay cancelation charges .

TATA AIG GENERAL INSURANCE — Payment cut without taking my permission for continuation

As per SMS received to me I have buyed the insurance policy for two month only.
The payment is deducted through credit card of Rs. 10. For this my permission is taken. They suppose to take the permission for next deduction. Without that they have charged me for next deduction and it is applied in my credit card.

Dear sir,

My I10 car which was purchased on 30/11/2010 and still under the manufacturer warranty suddenly caught the fire in the Bonet on 3/6/2012 and the majority of the bonet fittings were burnt. i loggedin the complaint as well as the insuarance claim with the Tata AIG insuarance co vide claim no[protected] but till today i have not got the passing for the claim, and still the car is lyieng in the modi hyundai workshop at goregaon west. The surveyer has given a report that the car is under warranty and there is no manipulation to the car wiring, it seems that the fire is due to manufacturing defect. on the other side Hundai co saya that there is no manufacturing defect.

Both the companies are keeping their hands off from repairing the car and my claim is kept on hold for last two months.


Can you please help us in the above mentioned issue.
