Tata Docomo — Unjustified deactivation of SIM | |||
I sent SMS to Tata Docomo for porting of my mobile phone number on 19th April 2012. Porting was to be done to Idea Cellular. Idea Cellular had not sent message to Tata Docomo for releasing the phone number to them. Meanwhile, Tata Docomo suddenly de-activated the SIM on 22nd April 2012 and prepaid balance of around Rs 75 was forfeited. De-activation should not have been done by Tata Docomo without informing me and without getting a request from another phone company. It is a cheating and fraud with customer. Porting was desired in view of activaton o[censored]n-warranted services by Tata Docomo and deduction from pre-paid balance on account of these services. Tata Docomo should alive the SIM until the other mobile phone company requests them to release the mobile phone number. Later on, the SIM was activated. But I needed its porting to Idea Cellular. Porting was requested 2 more times. Porting request was denied all the 3 times without giving any reason. Finally, I had to cut the SIM in thousands of pieces and got new SIM from Idea Cellular.
