[Resolved] Vodafone — Rejected MNP by vodafone saying number or range is in contractual obligation | |||
I requested MNP from my vodafone postpaid to Airtel on 28-01-11 and got unique porting number VM128247. Today I got an update from Vodafone that my request dated 27 Jan 11 is rejected due to number or range is in contractual obligation. I have a postpaid and I dont know what obligation I have. My mobile mumber is under my name and no body other than me is assoicated with my number. I always paid my bills before time. I am not doing any out box thing for which my MNP request is getting rejected. As MNP is happening in same circle i.e. Mumbai. From other consumer complaints seems that Vodafone is using same trick to reject MNP request for postpaid and prepaid connections. Kindly let me know why my request was rejected If MNP is rejected by Vodafone what will be further course of action. Do you need to raise complaint with TRAI. And what is process for that. I have booked complaint online in Vodafone, even send on mail to their mail id. They replied that they will come back to me in 3 days. But in last 4 days nothing has happened. No one contacted me from vodafone. What is i do to complaint against vodafone. They are playing with my patience now. From the other consumer complaints it seems that only vodafone is giving trouble to consumers for MNP.
Is TRAI and govt of india is sleeping?

No reply in last 7 days. I have send them mail, raised complaint in their official site. Just got one sms saying they will get in touch with me in 3 days, but now 6 days are passed. If there is some issue with my number then why do not they get in touch in last 8 days.

I want to port from Vodafone to Airtel and they have rejected saying " contractual obligation " . contractual obligation includes any non market plan (which is not availbale on net) which come as special plan for customers. I am using Corp. full value 199 of Vodafone. Which is ur plan ?

If Vodafone thinks that by using such tricks they will retain customer, then they are wrong.
It is not big deal to switch to another number, as other companies are ready for MNP and new connection.
