I am frequently getting fraudulent calls telling me that i have won lottery of 25 lakhs. They generally start with 009230..
The caller gives a very short missed call. I have to call back as i dont know who might be calling. The caller generally wastes initial time by responding late or acting as if he is not able to hear, thus eating more time.

i got the latest call(28th December 2011) from following number : [protected].

I tried called vodafone customer care on 198. But after 15 minutes of menu dialling, hearing promotions and waiting for operator, the service support staff finally told me to call up some other number because i have a mumbai number. I pleaded with the service support staff to take note of my complaint but she seemed to be firm on me calling the other number. Oddly the Vodafone website (even the mumbai) page mentions 198 as customer care number.

Dissapointed consumer,

This is the bad continuation of my last complaint against vodafone regarding internet connection in my mobile handset SMSUNG GALAXY Y, S-5360. I have repeatedly called to customer care, they are found to be ultimately inefficient and not customer friendly. I am planning to leave this connection. before that I want to try to fix the problem.

Please help me to solve the problem.

VODAFONE connection is the worst connection in India nowadays. I am utterly frustrated with them and their services.

I too have received missed calls from this number [protected]. On calling back, the other person on line says that you have won 10 lakhs. It's happened twice with me and when I terminated the call was charged 12 Indian rupees. I called up Vodafone customer care and they said that there are several such hoax numbers and they can do very little about it. Total apathy considering the stature of the company.

The least that they could do was barring these numbers from connecting vodafone cells. I once again got a call from the same number today but I have saved it as hoax name and hence didn't call back. It is such a pity that people go to such lengths to earn money.

              Sir/Madam,

I am Sujit Singh from Durgapur, West Bengal. I am working in a Public Sector Undertaking firm (A Govt Of India Enterprise) I was a Reliance Post Paid customer ( No. [protected]) for two year and I wanted to Port my reliance no to Vodafone Post Paid so I applied with the Porting Request Code RV495638 in nearby Vodafone Store, which is located at Nachan Road, Near Bhiringi More, Durgapur, WB, with the required documents ( Quarter Allotment Order by the Company as Address Proof and Pan Card as ID Proof ) and the Security Deposit of Rs 300/ (Rupees Three Hundred Only) and they agree to Port my number with in 7 days. After 6 days my mobile no was stopped by the Reliance and after confirming by me in customer care of Reliance about the same they told me that it is stopped by them since Vodafone wants to process that no for port in. After 3 days I call Vodafone Customer care they told me I should visit nearest Vodafone Store for that. I went to the same store and they told me that they said that address proof will not work. I have to provide them some other address Proof document. After providing the same they still not start my mobile number and every time while I rush there they use to say that there is some problem in server or some other technical problem and this is happening since 15 days. This is my Permanent Official no due to which I am facing several problems and I am losing my clients faith and this no is associated to my several bank accounts too.

Kindly help me to port in Vodafone or to retrieve my previous connection. I will be highly obliged for the same

                    Address: Mumbai Suburban, Maharashtra

                    Hi,
I did a recharge on 24th Dec. of Rs 751 as per your suggestion while i was actually
recharging my mobile with 555 and got the talk time as only voice calls and not
                    reflecting in my balance.

Day 1 (Dec 24): As I was not able to figure out that why my balance is the same after
RC 751 successful recharge, I called your customer care and was assured that the
recharge balance will come in the main account in 4-5 working days.
As balance was low, I did another recharge (3G) of 502 which gives 500 MB, 500 min
                    STD+local+500 SMSes
(You can check the voice records for [protected])

Day 2 (Dec 26): I call and ask for the above query and i come to know that 751 recharge
has gone in some other account (Voice Calls). As per Sujay Sanket, first the 3G
recharge balance will be used and then 751 recharge. Now I have 800+500 something
                    balance and 30 days validity.

In case your Day 1 customer care officer had given me the correct information, the second
recharge would not have taken place.
Firstly, you need to think over this and ideally should revert the 751 recharge.
Secondly, your offer details should be more specific as if your suggestion would have more
details in it, I would not have gone with RC 751 recharge and there would have been no calls
from me to Vodafone Customer Care and there would be no mail drafted.

Finally, the conversation with your customer care officers were horrible. Please
improve that also. In case the customer care will not understand the issue and not
there for writing complaints why is the customer care there for. You should seriously
                    think on this.

Following are details vod number-[protected], brought around sept 17 2011, worked well for 1st month, second month somehow worked, Third month 1 nov 2011 made calls for 15 day(40-50 calls) to call centre, visited sighgad road pune store did some preliminary analysis by updating balance, raised a call back which never came after raising even 2 complaints.(store dont have any support executive for net-setter)
Went to wakdewadi store submitted dongel for analysis on around 28 November 2011, they kept it for 15 days, after returning back to store for 15 days dongel was not at all ready, in between i did call to store person jatin(with spaces) or updates (didnt give any updates). then again i came back in evening to wakdewadi store from katraj . updated both balance & plan.worked for show purpose returned at home it worked for just 5 minutes & stopped.
tried to call back store representatives, no one did picked mobile, did switched off their ph, also store numbers as well as nodal officers number receivers are always put down.(absolute communication dont know why company markets about " HAPPY to help you")
Then i went to seller from whom i brought dongel, i submitted him from 20 dec 2011, i am going to get updates from him on 30 dec 2011, he has submitted back to vod .

So for past 2 months i have just updated my dongel with balance & plan all has gone to toss vodfone should reimburse this back to me

Today 27 dec i got call from vodafone, when i raised complaint in forum.

please get back to me on 30 dec 2011.

                      Hi,
I am Vodafone customer, my number [protected]. I have been charged extra for caller tune which I have not activated. When talked with CC executive Rohit Laxman Bhandwale, he directly refused to reverse the charges. While there was no record found for activation of caller tune from myside. Still he has not reversed charges and when I shown my interest to talk with senior person, he has not given chance to talk with senior as well. It’s an extra charge from Vodafone to the customer and the charges should be reversed.
                      Regards,
                      Pavan

                          Hi,

I am Amit Maheshwari having Vodafone mobile no. [protected]. I am having corporate plan of Ernst & Young. In November 2011 I have changed my company to Tata communications. As per my new Company's corporate plan I have to take Tata DoCoMo no. for company’s corporate scheme. On Dec 1st, 2011 I have messaged for port out request. My request was rejected. After my further investigations from customer care of Vodafone it was informed to me that since I had corporate plan activation this port out was not happened. On my 3 to 4 times enquiries, every time it was informed to me that port out will happen in 72 hours. It’s almost 1 month gone and finally now I have to take new no. from Tata but my port out is not happened. Finally I am converting my Vodafone no. from post paid to prepaid. Now I have to carry two no.s and two hand sets and all cost to me approx 25000 to 30000. Should I claim it on company?

My contact details are as follows:

                                Dear Authorities,

This is humble request you to take this matter on priority, as i already filed this issue with you against complaint number 16135. Their executive gave me two corporate connection ([protected] and [protected]) long back, against one number i paid Rs500.00 as advance rental for two years, i have attached slip for your reference. but they sent me bill with another plan and forced me to make payment. i sent mails everywhere in their Corporate office, customer care, nodal officer, but i did not get any response against my request. i stopped using both the numbers and did not make any payments as well. they have kept my money in their pocket as well. i contineously got many call and was disturbed by their threats for stopping my old number if i dont make payment as they billed.

Now the situation has become more grusome. Vodafone is forcing me to make payment against which they billed me as per their wish even without providng the services. Today they have barged my all services against the 7-8 years old number [protected], on friday evening. Aginst this number i am making all payments timely. when i called customer care for the same then they said me to make payment is only solution to get this connection activated. i can not talk to their senior offices as well becouse its friday and they have an off two days. My uncle is Hospitalized at Asian Hospital Faridabad, i was already very disturb and they stopped all services, i am unable to call anyone and contact. In this manner these vodafone guys are torturing me mentally for a long period and today stopped my services against a number for i am making regular payments.

If no action is taken then these guys will take such cases for granted and will charge from customers as per their wish.

Regarding the same i requested you already. i request you again please please please take this matter seriously and help me out. as i can not change my number right now and not want to bend down against their unwanted desire. only you are the hope to help me out and say them to compensate regarding the same.

Thanks in advance for your better understanding.

My connection was almost an year old. Exact date I do not remember, but it was old connection and it was verified also once. But now they are telling it is not having your document so it will be deactivated if you do not provide the document. I asked them, if it is not having my document then where is my document and how you could activated my connection on the name of others for this many days. How it was verified in first verification. and how the name got changed. where is my application and whose document has been put on my application and who has been given my document. I asked them please confirm where is my document if other persons document has been put in my application. As document can be misused, if gone in wrong hands.

You mean to say that you got document from retailer?
It yes, then what is problem?
Now clarify, whether you got my application with my document, or with another document or without document?

I can contact retailer not a problem, but clarify which thing was ok and which thing was wrong.

Clarify whether my application was OK?
Whether my application was having document, it may be anyone's, but whether that application was having supporting document?

Because if my application was not having document at all then it is your fault, you could not have activated the connection.
If my application was having any other person's document then I can contact retailer with your answer to follow with him.

But in that case also, you have to provide me alternative as he is doing business for you.
Please note that there are news that vodafone is running short of allocating new number so they are closing the number which is not in frequent use.
Yesterday only I heard on CNBC.

If this is the case, then please do not waste your time and my time as well. Return my money, I do not want to be with Vodafone anymore.

                                  Regards,

                                  Harini,

If you have not received my document then it is whose fault this is the first question?
Second, whether you received my application which is filled to take connection?
Please confirm and again I will request you guys do not divert the question.
It is not matter of loosing connection but it is matter of document.

Have you investigated this matter at your level?
What was the outcome of that?
Who is responsible for this problem customer or your staff? (Please remember, retailer is doing business for you and it is your duty to confirm all the details before providing any service not customer).

If I am wrong, I will accept but if you are wrong, accept it and then you can say what the alternative.
You can not dictate the terms to customer for your fault.

                                  Regards,

                                  Hi Milind,

I think, you are taking this matter very lightly.
As your retailer also told that he has submitted the document to you when you had a conference call with me, then also you are denying that you have not received the document.

My question is that without document how you guys made this phone active for more than a year?
How the first verification was done when document was not submitted immediately after taking the connection?
How application was got processed when document was not submitted along with that?

How your guys accepted the application when it was not having required document?

Again I will request you to escalate this matter to your big bosses as this is not simple case.
It is not possible to get connection without document and same thing your retailer told that there is no chance of getting wrong number as it is having barcode reference with application so name can not be changed, even it document is changed.
Even if document is changed then any other user is using phone on my document.
This is serious case, please consult your retailer and subsequent wholesaler and follow the chain up to your documentation point and everything will come in picture.
Remember one thing, I am not going to digest excuses. If I required to take the help of Govt agencies those meant to investigate, this matter surely I will approach to them.

Hope you will realize the seriousness and will escalate to higher authority as you are not able to handle this problem.
If you guys have made the mistakes then accept the truth and come out with alternative, but do not blame and harass customer.

                                  Regards,
                                  H B Singh

                                    Hi

This is regarding a complaint against one of the associate of Vodafone which mislead me for regarding conversion of a prepaid number to a postpaid one.I was given misleading information regarding SMS plans on the new 199 plan.

I had provided my documents and Rs.250 for the same and provided a sim card in return. However, when I received a verification call I was told that the SMS packs are not applicable on this plan.

The agency details are as follows:

                                    Datasys E-services Pvt Ltd,
8, Rani Jhansi Road, 3rd Floor,
Near Jhandewalan Extn, New Delhi- 55

                                    [protected]

Now, when I am making calls on these numbers nobody is answering and numbers are coming on switch off mode.

We have been associated with Vodafone with almost 10 yrs now, having 4 numbers in the family and such an incidence has hampered the relationship which we had developed over the years.

                                    Kindly look into the matter.

                                    Regards,

                                      Address: Chandigarh, Chandigarh

Hello my self Shashi, in year 2010 March I brought a Prepaid Vodafone SIM card. From 27 august 2011 to 15 Dec 2011 i cant use that sim/Number due to handset problem now when i want use that sim card again on 15 Dec 2011 the handset shows Sim Card Registration failed than I talked to costumer care centre they said go to Vodafone store and they refresh that sim and sim working within 5 minutes. Next day I visited the Vodafone store at sector-28 chandigarh they said that due to not use of sim card from 90 days the no. is disconnected than I asked to him that before disconnected why you people don’t intimate me regarding this on my alternate no., e-mail address or by a letter at house address?? Then he has answer less after that he talk on phone with someone else and told me that I go to the Sector-35 Chandigarh Vodafone store and my problem will be sought out there. When I visited the Vodafone store Sector-35 Chandigarh they said that the no. disconnected due to not use in 90 days and the no. is not reissue to me because the no. may be in market.

Now, why not the Vodafone intimate me regarding this? And I approach the Vodafone on the 104 day from the unused of sim is not very long time. And the company how the disconnected the no. without intimation or permission from the owner and how the company launched that no. in the market without any notice/intimation to the owner.

I want that no. because that is my official no. and is very usefull for and also any person misused the my that no.
