[Resolved]  Vodafone Prepaid — Daily debiting my account for unwanted services

Sir / Madam,
I am a vodafone prepaid mobile customer staying at Kalyan,
My Mobile No. is : [protected] ( Name : A. Subramanian )

I used to receive calls and sms from Vodafone and other companies for promotional schemes etc. And for this, they used to debit my prepaid
account for Rs. 5/- to Rs. 30/- as per their charges.

After discussing with Ms. Anita Dhumsingh Rathod and Mr. Rizwan from Vodafone Customer Care, I activated DND in order to stop receiving such unwanted promotional calls & sms. ( DND 0 message sent by me to 1909 on 7-3-2011 at 12:17:18 p.m. and accepted by Vodafone on 7-3-2011 at 12:42:05 ).

I was told that within 7 days, the DND service will be activated.
However, they are still deducting Rs. 5/- every day from my prepaid balance for
"Sawal 20 Lakh ka" and such type of things.

I want to stop receiving such type of messages and calls which unnecessarily
disturb me and also reduces my mobile balance.

Please do the needful at your earliest and oblige.

Vodafone — unwanted GPRS

I m Pankaj Kumar, mobile no. [protected] having no need of GPRS, but your company activated it two or three times without any request frm my side and deducted/ charged Rs. 50 every time unethically & unlawfully. the same was not even used by me.

also, there is One more problem in my another mobile No. [protected] ( being used by my brother Nerraj Kumar),

you have activated "Bhakti Sagar" music service on this number again, without any request from me or my brother, the details as follows:

17 Apr to 18 May
19 May to 19 June
19 June to 19 July
20 Oct to 20 Nov
20 Nov till now

it is interesting to note that the service is deactivated and activated again in quick succession on the very next day and again charges are levied, whereas the said services are not of any use to me or my brother and both o[censored]s do not want to avail of the said servce and request you to cancel/ deactivate the said services from both the mobile numbers with immediate effect and further refund/ recharge the mobile numbers with the amount that has been unnecessarily deducted from our account as this is highly unfair and unfrinedly practice on the part of the company. The consumers are made to suffer and bear charges for no fault of theirs. the consumers are being taken for ride by the company as we are having a prepaid connection and you deduct the charges staright away, without any confirmation/ request from the consumers, which may be due to your faulty systems.

The said practices have not only cause me financial loss, but have unnecessarily caused my anguish and harrassment, and i am compelled to rethink over my association with your company for your such practices.


plz do the needful asap, else we shall be constrained to take up the matter with higher authorities, including any legal action for the blatant unfair practices on your part.

Vodafone — UNWANTED FACILITIES AND DEBITING MY ACCOUNT

I HAVE PREPAID CONNECTION (LIFETYPE), NO [protected].THEY HAVE ACTIVATED THE CRICKET MATCH UNDATE WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE KEEP ON DEBITING MY ACCOUNT, WHEN I HAVE SPOKEN TO CUSTOMER CARE THEY HAVE TOLD ME THAT YOU MAY HAVE WRONGLY PRESSED THE BUTTON. I HAVE GIVEN MOBILE TO MY MOTHER IN LAW FOR EMERGENCY USE. IF THEY DEBIT ENTIRE AMOUNT IN CASE OF EMERGENCY TO WHOM MY MOTHER WILL CALL .WHO WILL BE RESOPNSIBLE FOR THE SAME.I REQUEST YOU PLEASE LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND DO THE NEEDFUL

vodofone/ prepaid mobile — unnecessary charges debited

on 12/10/2008 i rcvd a phone from vodafone department regardind caller tune information and i was just hearing for a minute without touching any button in my mobile, finally they told that thanks for opting this usage and debited rs 30/- for the usage which i never like that.
then i spoke to customer care they told me u might have opted, but definetly i didnt opt that facility, then i asked to deactivate that facility, even though i have unnecessarily loose 30RSfor that,
my mobile number is[protected], now i also opted the facility of donot disturb
in this case can i claim for the amt to rrefund in my a/c

Vodafone — Unwanted GPRS, pramotional calls and messages activation

I am a very old Pre- paid consumer of vodafone telecom services using phone no. [protected]. My GPRS has been activated since May 2009 without any request from my side and every month again it get activated and deduct my balance automatically. I do not need this facility of GPRS at all and also i never use it.
Anther complain is that I receive many unwanted promotional calls and vulgar SMS which is really not tolerable. Being a Government Employee while important meeting I receive vulgar massages which is really shameful. Since i am not a technical person it is difficult to understand how to get rid of above mentioned problems. Several times i call Customer Care but they are unable to solve my problem. So I request to Stop GPRS and Unwanted promotional calls and messages from my mobile so that I may able to get facilities of vodafone mobile as per my comfort.

Vodafone Prepaid Mobile Service — Debit of charges for unwanted services

Vodafone has debited my Prepaid Mobile account ([protected]) in the name of some unwanted service. At night (10.59pm)on 11.11.2010, I got a msg-Your Daily News has been activated, as per your request. and some charges were debited to my account. I confirm that I had not sent any request. I complained this to Vodafonecare and requested for reversal of charges debited. They replied the the service was activated at my request, and thy will not reverse the charges. This is very disgusting to know and I feel cheated.

I wish to inform you that similar deduction was done for my other mobile no-[protected] in the name of MCI charges on 20th or 21st August. However, then the charges were reversed at my request.

I alsowish to inform you that there was a call fromVodafone on 13th Nov (approx10.00am) regarding conversion of my Prepaid mobile to Post paid.
Its Executive tried to convince me by telling the drawbacks of Prepaid mobile service, He said that some Charges are being deducted in the name of some services (and said- Usually customers are unaware of this), In case of Post paid mobile service such deductions wont happen.
The whole conversation must be recorede and can be verified at Vodafone.

We request you to look into it and make some arrangement so the the companies may not use Unfair means and debit the customers accounrt.

THE PHONE IS GIVEN TO MY WIFE WHO STAYS ALONE FOR THE EMERGENCY PURPOSE. IN CASE SUCH DEBITS CREATES A NIL BALANCE THEN WHAT SHE WILL DO IN EMERGENCY CASES. YOU ARE THEREFORE REQUESTED TO DIS-CONTINUE ALL UN-NECESSARY MESSAGES TO AVOID SUCH SITUATIONS.
