We have purchased a USB Stick (on saturday 2nd April 2011, SIM No. : [protected] and USB Stick's Mobile No. : [protected]) for using 3G internet service. but it is not working with local network, And it is not usefull for us. But Reliance & Tata Photon is Providing this facility. Vodafone Mini Store, Vikas Nager is not return back this USB Stick. And Nodal Officer is also help less.

USB STICK — NOT ACTIVATED SINCE ONE WEEK

I HAVE PURCHASE USB STICK ON 11.07.10 BUT AFTER ONE WEEK IT IS NOT ACTIVATED. WILL IT ACTIVATED AFTER ONE MONTH OR ONE YEAR

Vodafone USB Stick — NOT ACTIVATED SINCE ONE WEEK

i have purchased vodaphone usb stick on 11.07.10 but after one week it is not activated by company. why?
so, plz revert back the usb stick. bcoz its useless for me. we are not using it.
I think we did a very big mistake by taking the vodafone 3G USB stick. I have purchased it on sunday and it is still not activated ( After 4 days). I am calling customer care and surprising they are disconnecting the call. It has happened almost 10 times straight away. This is really a pathetic service by vodafone. Also i am looking out the ways to return back or sale this stick even at some less rate ( Although its brand new)

Vodafone USB Stick — Vodafone change my plan without intimate me

am sachin from delhi in 17 nov 2010 & i purchase a usb stick (internet Plan 699 / 6 months) from vodaphone. Recently i receive a bill which shows 699 for 1 month. Vodaphone change my plan without intimate me they change my usb stick (internet 699 / 6 months plan in to 1 month 699 paln) now they told me we intimate you [protected] tata cell number but no call i received from vodaphone & the number i they called its Disconnect in april.they also gave a (ref no.[protected] but no can help me. & whenever i call vodaphone customer care they put me on hold.Please help me in this issue.

    Hi,

    I had migrated my connection from postpaid into prepaid on 24th Mar, 2011. At the time of conversion, I was told that the plan charges would be 1p/sec and then I need to recharge my number. On 26th Mar, 2011, prior to my first recharge, I called up Customer Care (111) THRICE and each time I was CONFIRMED with the same tariff plan of 1p/sec. As a result, I recharged my number with Rs 99 Lifelong Validity.

    Three days later, when my balance reached Rs 0.06, I got to know that I am being charged Rs 1/min instead of the plan I was confirmed. I tried calling up Customer Care and Complaint numbers, however, there seems to be some problem with that due to which I could not speak with the executive.

    Later, I wrote my concern with customer care through email. To this I received a very stupid and foolish answer that I need to recharge my number with Bonus Card 28. Even I am aware of this plan and the benefits of it.

    My concern is why was I wrongly communicated regarding my tariff plan. Had they updated me correctly, I would have gone ahead with the [protected]@28 recharge instead of Rs 99 Lifelong validity.

    Request an immediate reply from a responsible officer of Vodafone.

    I sent you the details on the above website. Hoping for a swift reply.
    I was told that I would receive a reply by Monday, 11th April. However, 12th April has also gone by and I havent yet heard back from you. May I know if I ever will receive a satisfactory response???

    In case I do not receive the reply by the end of this week, I may have to port out my number.

      I have a vodafone postpaid connection of Goa. Currently i am in delhi so my connection is on roaming. But the sim shows Emergency calling and when i try calling my number from some other cell, it says switched off.

      I tried calling the customer care but they say you have to call from a postpaid number to be directed to a postpaid customer centre. I dont have any other postpaid connection. Please help

      the problem is resolved ..i removed the sim nd inserted it in another phone.. it was working.. then i put it back in my old phone.. it started working again..

        My name is Surjit Singh. Today i received call from vodafone customer care executive at 03:43 pm[protected] from [protected].

        He explained me about free five day internet service on vodafone. When i said him i don't need of this service.

        He used abuse language in punjabi

        (phone cut salle bhenchood, bhaya salla)

        When i said him you called me you cut. again he said

        (Cut bhenchood, salle..........................)

        So this is the customer care executive service. Vodafone is giving this type of plan through customer care.
        I don't know the name of this person but i know he was speaking from Ludhiana server. So i want action against him.

          Hi !

          My Name is Manish.

          I have purchased a Vodafone 3G USB Data Card on 7th March 2011, from Borivali. At the time of purchase I was told that I will be getting a speed of 358 Kbps and also that 3G service will be available soon. But When i started using the USB Data Card, the speed was horrible. I was not even able to open yahoo page and moreover the speed was just 3.5-4.0 kbps.

          I tried to call Customer Care but as usual they told me to call on different number which I am never able to connect.

          Don't Opt for Vodafone ....its horrible...

          Vodafone — SPEED of USB Stick

          I brought a 3g data card usb from VODAFONE promising me to give speed more than 40 KBps with monthly rental of 400 rupees. But when i used it gives me pathetic speed of 4Kbps . Ifeel cheated after spending 1600 for USB

          So anybody thinking to buy VODAFONE 3G USB stick i would recommend them NOT TO BUY this product
          it's not just abt speed ...

          the voda software that comes with stick, is also confusing ...

          1) the stick is for internet but there's no provision to stop using your talk-time balance
          2) there is no provision to know your internet balance
          3) no provision in informing the user when the internet balance get finished up
          4) no provision in informing the user when the talktime balance get finished up

          so, in the name o[censored]sing internet balances the stick actually ends up using the costlier talktime balance on it's own.

          Interestingly, (even if there's no network or you have removed the voda stick ), the vodafone propreitary software if kept running, shows the local wifi connection status. which is not sold by voda at all.

            I am Prachi Srivastava,happy customer of Vodafone from last 3 years having Prepaid no [protected]. Rs 5 is being deducted everytime i send message although i have also activated the free sms pack. till date Rs 25 have been deducted. Customer care donot respond as i wasted alot of time calling customer care. kindly solve this matter and credit me back my Rs 25 as soon as possible.

              I contacted the Customer care and they said that its not a problem with them you have to directly contact the Vodafone shop from where I purchased the SIM card.One of my friend went to that shop but it was closed at 7:30 PM and when he asked for there contact number they refused to give and said that we have to come to the shop for any queries.
              How is it possible to go to the shop again and again and when the mistake is also from thier end.

              I should not call first of all this service as CUSTOMER CARE... Forget CARE, they don't even give a damn to Customers... On 25th October 2006, I experienced the worst Customer Care service provided by Hutch in Bangalore. I have been a Hutch Customer in Mumbai also. And where, I must say, both the network service and the hutch customer service is the best, compared to any other cellular operator.

              With this facts keeping in my mind only; when I shifted to Bangalore, I took a HUTCH connection. The network service is fine... But the customer service... Ohhh my god... The Customer Care no. 111 itself is not reachable, forget about other numbers. The worst scenario was on 25th October 2006, where I was refused a connection to 111 no. at least 100 times for entire evening (From 7 PM to 11 PM, after that I slept... :). If somebody in urgency needs to contact customer care... Then I am sure he may end up in trauma before the call actually gets connected. Luck by chance. If he has given a connection to 111, then he must wait till eternity to reach up to customer care executive... That was also a scenario, I experienced yesterday on 25th October 2006 where I got connected to 111 by chance, and I waited for 12 minutes for customer care executive to speak up. Initially HUTCH showed me some courtesy to make me listen to some music and a taped message saying "HUTCH Customer Care Service Executive will attain me in a short (?) while". After 10 minutes, tape also stopped and Music vanished... What the hell is this service...
              My sim had been locked it was showing enter the puk number when i made a call to coustmer care & get the puk number but she dint gave me the pin no which i had to fill after puk number and when i enter puk no. it was showing enter new pin no. & i filled 12345 twice after that it is showing sim rejected . Kindly help me out i am facing alota problems due to my phone .

              I have a SIM ( [protected] ), which has a life long validity. The problem is that I cannot use my SIM. When I put SIM card in phone it shows "SIM card Registration failed". I took this SIM form KERALA State, now I am in HYDERABAD. I'll leave this place next week. Can I activate my SIM card again. Please do me the favour.

              i purchsed a vodafone postpaid sim a month back from vodafone ministore in priyas saket for 500 rupees . they said dis number will work as prepainnumber fro 2 days and then will change into a postpaid number after two days wherver i insert this sim in any mobile it sayd unregistered sim. i kept on calling customer care and dey kept on saying check your handset because the number is working. so i did so but nothing happened.everytime i called hey siad the same thing athat number is working but i tried around 10 mobile phones apart from mine but it said the same unregisterd sim.then finally one customer care executive siad that sir ur sim might not be working so he sent me a new sim card which again says the smae thing and is not working . then 2 days back i went to the same shop again there was a person from vodafone named mr ranjit he chked the status an said that sir your request has not been prosessed .that was a new news for me so he said sir i have processed the request no within 4 hrs it will start working but as usual the same thing abd when the next morning i called mr ranjit.sumone kept on disconnecting the call for around 10 times the finally sumone picked he works in taht same shop he started saying why are u disturbing me its vodafone problem and started talking in a very rude manner then said that let me check and i will call you but i did bot recieve any call. i have faced so much trouble because of this even after paying 500 rupees to them.

              My self N.Srinivas, a vodafone prepaid mobile customer, with no. [protected].
              Since one month, i have not the phone (i.e. no outcoming/incoming). I was using the sim only for the purpose to call US/Canada with a voucher of 2500/- world calling card, took in june'2009, with validity of 9months(expires by march end'2010).Till last month, when i used the phone, the balance was around Rs.700/-.

              Now, if I insert the sim, it is showing Registration failed.When I contacted ur customer care outlet store personally and 24/7 care on phone, i got the reply that the no is deactivated. It will be activated with another sim with same no but with zero balalnce.

              This is ridiculous on ur part that till the validity period, the balance(talk time) on phone, becoming zero for the reason not using the phone for one month. It is my wish to use/not use the phone. It is accpeted that, if phone is not in use, that can be under dormant status/deactivated, but once it is activated the balalnce talk time should be available.

              Please clarify on this and activate the sim immediately.

              I have been facing problem with my Vodafone SIM card for the two week .Sometimes the SIM card stops working with message " Insert SIM card" .When contacted the customer care they suggested to purchase a new SIM card .After purchasing the new SIM it completely stopped working and gave a message " SIM card Registration Failed".

              I contacted the Customer care and they said that it’s not a problem with them you have to directly contact the Vodafone shop from where I purchased the SIM card. One of my friend went to that shop but it was closed at 7:30 PM and when he asked for there contact number they refused to give and said that we have to come to the shop for any queries.
              How is it possible to go to the shop again and again and when the mistake is also from their end.



              I have mentioned one more thing here. If my service is not activated within 4 hour, I will complaint against Vodafone in consumer court.

              I am a vodafone customer for past six years.I activated 14 rupees pack to access internet for three days.
              I found that due to continues accesss of internet my balance had gone down to Rs: -13 (negative). so i received a info as no packet data available contact your network and then internet got disconnected. So i left and slept. this is happened at 12:35 AM. Then to my shock i found that i am unable to access the network with the info as "Your SIM registration failed", when i contacted customer care they say that my mobile balance is Rs: -1111, I cannot believe this, I found my balance as -13 at 12:35 AM.But they say as my internet was accesssed till 3:00 AM how can this happen even after the disconnection of the internet at 12:35 AM.

              Is this the way Vodafone cheat customers? I am fed up of this.

              Currently i am in Maharashtra, the same process is also told by the bijapur (Tanushree Communication) mini store to apply for the new/duplicate sim card, if at all i apply to get the new/duplicate sim card who will give me the Guarantee that it will not repeat the same(i.e. "Sim Card Registration Failed") error will not occur, as i have changed sim by 2 times now in year.
              what i need is permanent resolution. earlier your vodafone service use to be good now its becoming rediculous as a government office need to often run to the stores for the same issues.

                As I called Vodafone customer care 0n 17.03.2011 and a lady spoke to me, I asked her that I have got 250 local & national free sms balance in my mobile, so need to recharge again for rupees 47 to get 4700 loc & Nat sms free, is it possible to add my 250 balance free sms to 4700sms if I recharge now for Rs.47. then that lady told definitely it is possible if you activate the free sms from your mobile by dialing *555*47#, I did the same and Rs.47 deducted from my mobile, but 250 balance free sms not added, then again I called customer care & complained regarding my 250 free sms is not added with new 4700 sms then that lady told she will activate that & after finishing this 250 free sms automatically the 4700 free sms will be activated. On 19.03.2011 the 250 free sms has been finished, and started to go Re.1 for every loc sms & Rs.1.5 for Nat sms, Again I called customer care and informed 19th 3 times, 20th once & 21st mar 2011 once, after shouting only they activated that too by canceling my old 250 free sms.



                I lost my money from my mob for sending sms on that 3 days, and I lost 250 sms which I paid money on 22nd feb 2011, and mentally I suffered on 20th March 2011 that day was Ind vs WI world cup match, I was unable to send scores for my National friends who were asking me. Because of careless vodafone Kerala customer care peoples.

                  We went to Vodafone store located at MG road Pune to inquire about 3g service.

                  The guy whoss job was to provide information started giving a hard time, without any reason. he denied to accept that my number exists and would not enter details on his computer. he pushed us to limits and then himself got hyper and started throwing obnoxious statements at us, when we got got back at him he started yelling and abusing amidst of all people present there, then 3 people all wearing Vodafone uniform came to attack us but sneaked out before it could get worse.

                  We thought if we take it up to Zonal and Nodal officers they will take some action.

                  But as they simply wanted to suppress this, they started playing word games and trick us.

                  What company has right to abuse a customer with strong foul words.

                  I got calls from customer executives from voafone who claimed to be zonal officers in the beginning but later admitted that they were lying.

                  I have emails from vodafone where they have accepted everything what happened but refused to take any actions. It's been 2 months we tried to get hold of Nodal and Zonal officers but to our disappointment they even added to our disgust.

                  If any news channel, media house etc... is out there to put some light on such service, please feel free to contact me. We have emails as proof where they accepted that customer was abused, humiliated and attempted to attack on asking for some information about their own phone number and in same emails they have denied to take any actions, apologized for fake calls from vodfone guys claiming to be Zonal / Nodal officers.

                  This is a serious issue and must be brought to attention of every Indian. I wonder who will help us take some strict actions against them and their unfair, illegal activities? Knock Knock India ...someone out there to help?

                      To deactivate/ cancel this pack I tried to contact Vodafone through-
                      messages to 111 on[protected],[protected],[protected] and also to 144 on[protected].
                      Phone calls at 111 on[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected]
                      Phone calls at [protected]/53333/[protected] on[protected]
                      Phone calls at 198 on[protected] and[protected].
                      I regret to inform that despite my best efforts I failed to get GPRS 11 PACK deactivated as I could not get proper Menu and/or customer associate.However Rs 11 is being charged regularly on[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected] and[protected] from my account which is un-authorised hence illegal and against the codes,conducts and ethics of a big service provider like you.
                      In this connection I request you to-
                      -cancel GPRS 11 PACK immediately
                      -credit my account with Rs 55 which is charged illegaly on different dates
                      -provide specific menu for activation/deactivation through messages and/or phone calls
                      -provide customer complaint number to redress grievances.
                      I hope you will cancel GPRS 11 PACK and reverse the unauthorised charges at your earliest.

                      GPRS pack had activated with weekly rental without confirmation from my side. The money of Rs 23/- is being deducted and the data for 500 mb being credited to my phone which is not used by me. The same process has been done for three times and Rs 23 x 3 = 69 has been deducted. However, I have been contacted with many times to customer care for stopping the same service and not giving the service.
                      When my phone was switched off and the service activated automatically and money deducted.
                      This is not fare to deduct any money from the accout without confirmation from the customer, however I was not using the handset configured with GPRS.
                      It is requested to refund the above money or tell me the procedure to lodge my complaints to RTI.
                      I also tried to contact your customer executive, however he has not talked with me after holding half an hour the call.

                        - I had enrolled for number portability (PORT-IN in Vodafone) on the 20th Jan, 2011. But even after providing the PORTING CODE thrice they were unable to port-in my numbers. Repeated complaints were not listened to.!
                        - Now after all this wait and failure, they refuse to refund my security deposit Rs500 (Rs250 x 2 for both my numbers). What the hell is this?
                        - The Vodafone personnel I have interacted with are: Himanshu[protected], Sangeeta (sangeeta.[protected]@vodafone) and Nisha at the Sec-18 Vodafone Store, Noida.

                        The view that I have formed for Vodafone is:
                        • Vodafone is just about Zoo-Zoos. They don’t have systems in place. No one has information on whats the status on the application.
                        • The customer care is just phony – they want to give an impression that they are helping but really don’t try to help you out.
                        • If you write to customer care – every different person would keep asking the same question again & again every 3rd day. Just !
                        • With this experience - I would never ever recommend Vodafone to anyone.

                            I am complaining in regards to the mobile number [protected]. A sports pack was activated by Vodafone on this mobile number without my knowledge and consent. I am being charged Rs. 3per day for it. When I realised that on the first day, I called vodafone and they told me that they were sorry about it and would deactivate the service within 24 hours, would refund the 3rs and I would not be charged again. The next day I again got charged. I called them again (spending money because customer service is no longer tollfree). And they told me that they would strictly look into the matter, register a complaint and the service would be deactiavted within 24 hours and I would be refunded the money (Rs 3). The next day someone from Vodafone called up and confirmed that the service has been deactivated and the amount has been cancelled. I did not bother about that and after 2 weeks I see that I am still charged Rs. 3per day everyday the whole of 2 weeks and the service was never deactivated. I called customer service and they hung up on me. I again called. They said they would deactivate the service within 24 hours but they cannot refund the amount. I requested for a supervisor and I was kept on hold for 20 minutes. I called again. This time I got through a supervisor. The supervisor told me that the service was not deactivated so they would deactivate it but he could not refund the amount. Which in other words mean "we are sorry, we cheated you, but cannot do anything about it". I asked him why he could not refund when I called them 3 times and asked them to deactivate. To my shock, they said because I activated it. (which I have not done). If I ask for records, they have none. They do not have call records or documentation of anything. Then to my surprise the So called Supervisor says that it was my mistake because I had to deactivate it from my end (never before I was told this, not even by the same supervisor when I asked him to deactivate the service.) I asked for a Manager, He refused. So I would like to get some kind of compensation regarding this.

                              Hi,

                              I have been a Vodafone subscriber in Mumbai for over 4 years, and have never delayed or defaulted on paying my dues. However, when I recently applied to another operator for MNP from Vodafone to XYZ operator, I was shocked to get an SMS from Vodafone that the request to port-out has been rejected due to “contractual obligations”. On checking with their Customer Care (who had a different tone for subscribers wanting to Port-out) was told that the “Contractual Obligations” in my case referred to some free minutes included in my Tariff Plan. I found it very strange, as the Tariff Plan I have opted for is a standard one, listed on their website and available to any other Vodafone subscriber. Hence, I really didn’t see any reason for Vodafone to stall my Port-out request on such frivolous grounds. Despite taking it up with their Customer Care several times, each time I only get a new Request No. with an assurance that the issue will be resolved within 48 hours. I am yet to have this issue resolved, before I approach the XYZ operator once again to migrate my Vodafone number to their network. Have spoken with the Vodafone Nodal Officer’s office, but am yet to get their response to this issue.

                              I would like to know from experienced & knowledgeable persons what recourse do subscribers like myself have, if existing operator doesn’t allow Port-out on frivolous grounds. Does TRAI offer any solution to this issue, which it would have ideally expected from big players (who would have expected many of their subscribers to Port-out, while welcoming Port-ins with open arms !!) ? I would appreciate responses to my complaint which are actionable. Thanks.

                              Hi All,

                              I think all o[censored]s most lodge a complaint at this location http://www.pgportal.gov.in/Grievance.aspx as mentioned in one of the threads above. Looks like TRAI was interested in only rolling the MNP out but was not interested in ensuring that it is being implemented properly. So, currently the only way out is to register all our complaints in the above link. Our only hope.

                              Thanks Dinesh. But, being a govt website am not sure anyone even reads such individual complaints, let alone act on them. However, for my satisfaction, have posted my grievance as above, just in case some govt official does read my post and surprises me with some action. Thanks for sharing the link.

                              I also checked on TRAI website for grievance redressal for consumers, but being a toothless-tiger TRAI by itself can't take any action against any operator. Hence, it has in its policy documents only mentioned of approaching Customer Care, then Nodal Officer, and finally Appellate Authority of concerned telecom operator. But, since the entire industry seems determined to sabotage the govt's MNP policy - albeit for its own survival - it is hardly expected of any operator to facilitate the process of porting-out for existing subscribers, which is envisaged by the MNP Policy in letter and spirit.

                              To me it appears that the MNP policy of the govt is yet another "legal provision" for public which they can't benefit from without cooperation from concerned quarters. Also, it seems TRAI did not anticipate such unprofessional behaviour from telecom operators, who would go to any extent to stall their subscribers' efforts to migrate out of their network. The only viable option seems to close the account with current operator and take a new connection from the preferred operator (whom we intended to migrate to) - something we could have done before the MNP regime anyway.

                                Hello My no. is [protected] and since fast one month I have been having serious trouble with my connection. first I thought it was my mobile handset so I changed it bu the problem continues. The call gets disconnected on its own after 20-30 seconds despite mobile showing full network coverage.
                                Have tried to call customer service a million times but it says check the number you have dialed at 198.
                                I have even tried calling via landline but they disconnect the phone after 2 minutes.
                                Im highly frustrated.
                                Help me.

                                  I have purchased the mobile in which 2GB data downloading is free for 3 months. Despite of recurrent communications vodafone had not activated the services and my balance got deducted every time I am using the net.
                                  I have asked the customer care executives about 4 times regarding the same issue but there line is always not working and there is hardly any assistance from there side. So Please help me that they can refund back the amount which is inappropriately deducted from my account.

                                    On saterday i took one vodafone post paid number?([protected])and paid Rs 500 (250 for activation and 250 deposit).
                                    i have been told that on next day sunday my verification will take place and by monday connection will be active,but my verfication took place on wednesday morning 8.30 am, and then i come to know that simcard which was issue to me was dummy , just for sales and i will get a new simcard, so that vodafone center hold me as a client for few day till they get the new card for me, its being 4 days till now they dont active my number and when i call to Customer care , they say will check and get back in on working day.
                                    I need to understand that after paying money and verification check positive also, why my number is not active.
                                    Why i have been given a dummy sim card,
                                    Why i should wait for 5 day when it can be done in 2 working, and why i pay for all vodafone mistake in terms of time.

                                    I think the TARI will also not be effective in same course of action, but for try basis am writing to tari , els will look the same to ministry of telecom ,delhi,
                                    for any feed back one can get back to me on , i dont know , if i should trust on this tari people.

                                      Vodafone is advertising FREE 3G. In their adds they have not specified that the service is available in only some cities or areas. The only thing they write is "SMS 3G" to 111 to try free 3G.

                                      Millions of people send the SMS. Which is NOT Toll Free! Money is deducted from account and the reply received is

                                      "Vodafone 3G Service is not available in your town"

                                      Imagine the amount to money the company is making by getting people to send text messages every now and then just to see if 3G arrived in their town!

                                      Vodafone is cheating people and making money! Arrest them or something!!

But customer care excutive said that i have downloaded from their site. I keep on insisting that i have not done any downloading then they agreed that i am right but have not registered my complaint.                                         I have activate internet on this number.After this lot of money has been decuted from my account.
                                        e.g 30 rupees for hello tune,15 rupees to change hello tunes automatically.I have not sent any request for this.

                                        In regretful words i want to say that i am a customer of vodafone orissa/odisha from last november 2011 and currently i am in bangalore for 2 and half months. My mobile is in roaming and i am not using it from november 2012 and my available balance was Rs.160. Today 18/01/2013 i notice that my account balance is reducing automatically and when checked i was so shocked to see that some unwanted services are automatically activated like caller tunes for Rs.107=99+7+1 which i never requested for.

                                        When i contacted the customer care they replied me that there was a problem with their system so that they are unable to check what was the exact problem.So my question is who is going to activate a caller tune for Rs.99/30days as Bollywood hit suffle in this costly world. I mean i am very conscious about my mobile usage and also I am in roaming and no body going to call to my this number...

                                        Automatic Balance deduction Under the hood of "Auto Renewal"

                                        I had low balance so i thought of recharging my mobile with 36 Rs Sms pack, 1 day before the autorenewal date, and my validity of sms got extended one month as expected, but after recharging my mobile with 130 Rs again a deduction of 36 was done by Vodafone.

                                        When i reached the customer service representative of Vodafone (all the 3 of them were unsupportive ) and said a refund is not possible, and they cant even "carry forward " the plan !
