Would you believe this. Whirlpool double door frost free refrigerator causes water to drip from the freezer unit to the chiller unit below. The answer given is that it happens during rains and when I asked them why does it happen only after the expiry of the warranty period, the answer is once again very surprising and interesting . Sir you do not have a voltage stabilizer why don't you buy from us. Before this statement is made to you nonchalantly one is asked to switch of the fridge and keep the doors open for 48 hours ,meaning thereby that I have to trouble my neighbor to keep my milk, cheese and other items which require refrigeration.. What a waste of time. Is this what one is expected to do after shelling a packet to buy a fridge from the so called market leader. The lining is peeling off, the quality of the trays and other shelves is so poor,.that I cant believe that when it was marketed i heard the sales boy jokingly telling me that even i sit inside and it would not crack However cracks have already appeared inside and my fridge after four months of purchase and my fridge is not even 2 years old. It makes such big vibrating noise one feels that somebody is snoring in the drawing room.I remember the good old days where one used to cherish Alwyn, godrej and voltass refrigerators . i grew with them and unless they were dumped they used to function without any problem. I think all o[censored]s are being taken for a ride by these multinational companies. During the warranty period if any complaint is made no body comes even to inspect. The moment the warranty is over they are quick and remind you of the visiting charges also. I must warn my fellow country men buy whirlpool at your risk other wise you will end up in a cesspool of misery.

    I own a Whirlpool refrigerator 310 lts for last 15 yeras. Till now we never had a single issue with the product.

    Recently, the refrigerator had some cooling problem and we thought of getting it checked. For this we got in touch with the customer care deptt of Whirlpool. I called the customer care deptt [protected] (Number allocated to North Region as per their Website). When I called this number they insisted that I need to call the Local number allocated for Gurgaon which is[protected].

    After calling this number, they gave a complaint number HR[protected], with a commitment that I will get a call from service engineer within 2 hours and the product will be repaired on the same day. (That same day never came) No such call was received and I had to call customer care deptt a number of times requesting a service engineer. Till now I haven't received a call from the service engineer.

    Finally, I gave up and got the refrigerator repaired from a local shop.

    Considering the fact that I owned this refrigerator for 15 years and I didn't give any issues is beyond excellent. However, the service to back up this kind of product is both pathetic and appalling.

    These are must:-

    • When you call the whirlpool customer service for any complaint, you must a good patience as they will do everything in their power to drive you nuts.

    • Getting angry at customer service is of no use, as they will disconnect your call and may even delay the service.

    • Even if they commit that a call from engineer will be given in two hours, that call will never come.

    • They are offering good product, but worse customer service.

      I had just purchased a new split AC of whirlpool.After installation of the split AC it was found that there were several scratches and cracks on the display screen of the Indoor unit.I told the above to the engineer/technician even,but he told me such that such scratches and cracks might come during installation.But I disagree with him as I am buying a new AC and not a second hand.They are not ready to relace the indoor unit of split AC.
      So I want you to take some urgent action at the soonest.

        I purchased a fully automatic machine model no.Professional sports from Reliance digital at Shipra mall on 08 Augest 2010 from the very first day machine showing F2 error on the digital screen. I compalined on whirlpool cutomer care and giving in writing an e mail on helpdesk. My complain registration no. is GB [protected]. Service engineer Mr. Shyam mobile no. [protected] visite my home and told that machine has serious manufacturing defect and it will be replace. But till today it is not replaced. I contact serval time in cutomer care [protected] and area Manager no[protected] and Mr. Ankit at [protected]. Now I am not satisfy the after sale service of whirlpool India and want my money back. For that today I contact to Reliance digital at[protected] to replace the machine with another brand.

        To whom Concern.
        Just two months back I had purchased whirlpool magic cook microwave family chef. Yesterday I was cooking rice but after seven minutes the turntable was cracked inside. I was surprised as I am using the microwave since 15 years. But unfortunately first time i hv seen like this problem. After that I had complained to customer service as per them they will charge the money for replacement. Money is not matter but your product quality is very poor. Today the engineer has come and he said that the turntable motor is defaulted. FYI I will not pay the money for replacement because what is guarantee of your any other part. I am also repeating that your product quality is very very poor. Just look into this matter and replace my microwave . After two months the basic part is defaulted that means the whole machinery is defaulted. I am requesting you kindly change the microwave with new otherwise you refund my money.

          Hello,
          I have purchased a UPS from Whirlpool Model No - 650, from the purchased date I am facing a problem this ups is not working properly. I register a complaint in call center the call center guy told me that the engineer will come within 24hrs after 2 days I call a Mira Road Service center they said the engineer will come today but he come after 8 days then he replace the power button only after 2 days the UPS stop working and again I register a complaint (Complaint No : - MB[protected]) again I received the same feedback from the call center that the engineer will come within 24 hrs but this is a 3rd day no one has come to check the UPS this is very bad experience o[censored]sing Whirlpool UPS and Whirlpool Services.
          All of you I suggest you that not to buy any UPS from Whirlpool as the services is too poor and the product is also not working. This is just a wastage of money.
          I just want to replace my product from the Whirlpool Please help me.

          I did not think that a brand like Whirlpool would have such a poor service in the capital. My efforts to get across the consumer service manager have been unsuccessful.

          I have lost trust in this brand and would advise all consumers not to buy a whirlpool product.

          Similar is my experience with Whirlpool I purchased 850ma UPS and the service is poor. Dealer informed that service is good. But I had a bitter experience and suggest no one to go for this brand
          In Hyderabad I faced the same experience and my UPS is not yet rectified. Very poor service. Better go for another brand

            I purchasd the Refrigrator of Whirpool Proton model from your outlet in July 2010. The first week itself the machine had to be repaired and some parts replaces. Now the vegetable compartment is not working fine, vegetables are getting spoilt within a day/two. This has already been informed and there is no response of getting this machine replace. please note we have paid Rs. 27000/- for this fridge and we expect you to get this replaced at the earliest. We have already informed the service centre and there is no response.

            Request to replace the product with any other brand available in your outlet. Any difference amount can be paid.

              Whirlpool Refrigerator — Non Functioning of Refrigerator

              My Complaint number MB[protected] dated 12th July 2011 regarding non working of refrigerator , model no. 11793(CLX) serial no. IME 93B01400 purchased on 16th October 2010 has not been resolved even after continuous follow up with the entire Whirlpool team (their helpline, their service agency m/s Akash enterprises) and their head office. Every time I Complaint I get a new date and have contacted thier senior officers Mr Krishna, Mr Tushar & Ms Reshma from Head Office also but in vain. Within the guarantee period itself I am facing such hue & cry for replacement of their PCV Circuit almost since last one month. I have made requestes even of replacement of the enitre refrigerators but in vain. It seems no one is bothered from their team and as of date haven't received an single call, and they have left us completely to god's mercy. Every time we call the part will be replaced in 4 days is being informed but no action seems to be happening from them. Since I have even spoken to their Head Office, Ms Reshma and no action the only option was to take help of consumer courts. Request your help to get the fridge replaced or would prefer to get my Money back with additional amount for frustrations that I had to undergo since past one month.

                Sir ,
                I Purchased the Refrigerator Model no - FF 35B/2009 , groos volume - 340 litres on 14 / 10 / 09 as per Invoice no - 30881 & Receipt no - 52388 Dated 14th oct 2009 from TRISHUL AGENCIES , JWALAPUR , HARIDWAR . The Refrigerator was dispatched by DEALER TRISHUL AGENCIES to our home . After opening the Refrigerator , It was noticed that that the upper Rack on which Bottles are placed was found Broken & front type cover exactly below the freezer was found broken . The Dents were found on Front Door which was also noticed by service engineer . Immediately the complaint was given to Dealer TRISHUL AGENCIES 4 - 5 times between November - December 2009 . No response came after the complaints on the telephone & directly visiting the Dealers shop. No Service Engineer arrived to attend the complaint . We repeatedly telephoned to TRISHUL AGENCIES regarding this complaint , but no response came .They are not showing us the registers on which they registers the complaints . The Service Engineer name ANKIT visited on date 17.06.10 , He registered the complaint of Door Defect & broken rack . But after that no response came till the month of july 2010 .After we had telephonic conversation with the customercare , they registered the complaint on date 21.07.10 and give us the coplaint no DNO [protected] , on which basis , The Person ANKIT from the service center visited on 23.07.10 but after that no response came . Again we started with telephonic conversation with service center Incharge HARISH who denied to attend the complaint . He told us to give the record of complaint of Month of DEC which was registered by TRISHUL AGENCIES then only we will attend the complaint . The TRISHUL AGENCIES PERSON says that our registers are missing . We have been exploited by service center HARIDWAR incharge. Their Intention regarding attending of complaint is not good . From the beginning they are misguiding us .
                They are destroying the image of the company . Please attend & solve our complaint . We are suffering from since long period of time .
                If our complaints were not attended then we will go to CONSUMER FORUM for doing the case & matter will also published in the news paper .

                Refrigerator — the replaced refrigerator gives shocks

                the newly purchased refrigerator was not giving any cooling, hence replaced but this one is giving electric shocks and the complaint registered got handed over to karnal which is 100 miles from my place i.e. faridabad
                4 days and nobody has attended the complaint
                we have to live with the situation and wait for some serious accident

                i have made compaint almost 1 1/2 months back for the repalcement of the door for my refrigerator but still nothing is turned up. every day we are calling up to ur customer care but we have not received any positive response

                now i am realy verys surprised with the kind of service & response from ur side. which is very bad for the esteem co like u.

                now i feel like to make a complaint with the consumer forum for the same if my problem is not getting solved in another day or two.

                Hope u will take the necessary action to solve my problem immediately

                  I bought a whirlpool fridge from QRS Trivandrum (Karamana Branch TIN [protected]) on 14/08/2010. Once the product reached my home
                  there is a big crack on inner side of the door and immediately reported this to branch very next day morning in person. They send a service guy for confirming this after a day. He recommend for the replacement of product. QRS agreed it and send the ball to service center for the new product.From that day on wards whenever we contacted the QRS branch, they are telling there is no vehicle available for send the new product and they are repeating the same whenever we we contacted them.

                  We bought this fridge by paying Re 1000 for additional 2 year garantee from QRS.
                  Its is really pathetic service from QRS karama branch, they never bother about the customer once product sent from their shop. And more over there is no use in paying more for the garantee which QRS is promising.

                    Sir,

                    I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine (WhiteMagicash fully automatic) from Home Solutions Retail India Ltd, Mangalore on 24th May 2008. This machine [Serial no. INBO81705690 / [protected]] was working well till recently. In the first week of August it stopped all of a sudden. When we turn
                    on the switch, there will be no display at all. I placed a complaint with the Whirlpool complaints. They sent a technician to look at the machine. He opened the control panel, detached the sealed PCB and did some tests. Then the technician said the IC was defective. He said Whirlpool will not repair the PCB but
                    would replace it with a repaired board or a brand new board. The cost was Rs.1700 plus service charge or Rs. 2000 plus service charge, depending on whether I wanted to go for a repaired board or a brand new board. As this cost was high, I asked the technician whether I could try to repair the board locally. He
                    said it would be fine, since the warranty period was already over.

                    Later when I took the board to a local service person, he agreed to replace the defective IC (if it was available) for around Rs.1300/-. However before he took the board for repair, he pointed out that the supposedly sealed board (that stayed untouched in my machine for the last two years) had a portion where the wax was replaced. It meant that when I purchased a brand new washing machine from Whirlpool, two years ago, they had a repaired board inside my machine!

                    Frankly, I am shocked that a reputed company like whirlpool should use repaired or refurbished parts inside a brand new washing machine. I called up the customer care last week and communicated the same to them. They sent a techinician to look at the board. However they have not offered to repair my board. In fact I spoke to the person in charge of our district for Whirlpool. My machine is still in the defective position.

                    I have couple of friends who have used whirlpool machines for 7 or 8 years without any service at all. I feel the machine has developed this problem because of the repaired board. I know that technically the warranty period for my washing machine is over and the company is not under any obligation to replace the board free of cost. BUT A COMPANY LIKE WHIRLPOOL SHOULD NOT CHEAT CUSTOMERS BY SELLING BRAND NEW PRODUCTS WITH REPAIRED / REFURBISHED PARTS.

                    Sir, kindly look into this matter and give me a fair deal on this issue.

                      Hello,

                      I want to register a complaint against Whirlpool India for its defective product and highly unreliable customer service in New Delhi.

                      We bought a refrigerator from Whirlpool last year on 27th June 2009.
                      In less than one year, we started facing problem with the functioning of the product and hence made a complaint to the Whirlpool customer care Delhi. As the product was still in the warranty period, they repaired it but we never got to know what the actual problem was and how did they resolve it temporarily because after a few days it again stopped functioning.

                      As the product had already given problem twice in less than an year and there was no reliability that it will not stop working again in few days, we asked them to either replace the product or extend our warranty by at least 6 months. Both our requests were denied straightaway and after consistent requests, they agreed to extend our warranty by 3 months but did not give us any written confirmation of the same even after constant reminders.

                      Now our warranty period is over and the refrigerator has again started giving problem. When we tried to register a complaint to the Whirlpool customer care, they informed us that they will lodge a complaint only if we are ready to pay Rs. 350 as the visiting charges of the Service Engineer (again without any guarantee that the problem will be resolved). When we told them that our warranty period had been extended, they simply denied that saying that they had no written record for the same.

                      Please help us and let us know how to take this matter further so that our problem can be resolved.

                      I entered into AMC for 2 years and paid Rupees 4000/ and odd for my fully automatic washing machine during 2008 which was purchased on January 2000. During the AMC period, the service engineer attended one or two times only our report that NO ONE ATTENDED. now my machine has undergone a problem and so I contacted service centre chennai. one Ms. Banumathy has attended the call and asked me to wait for registering the compliant. but no response has been received for a long time.( ie 5 minutes ). As no reply has been received, I cut the call and again tried. That time another lady in the customer has attended the call and asked me again the full details. After noting down the complaint she also asked to wait. but no response. Again I contacted for third time. One Ms. Suganthi has attended. I told to her that i want to speak with banumathy. She said that she is busy with another call and again she asked the details. This is a poor response from whirlpool customer care and also the service. This type of behavior is very disappointing me. If this continues one to many person you may think ...

                        Whirlpool air conditioner — not working

                        we have purchased a A/c Whirlpool on 22.10.2010 it has been installed after 4-5 days and found it is not working, we have given complain but no response on the same for 2-3 days then they told that the machine has to replace as they found the machine is not as per mark and should replace for replacing the machine they have taken 4 days and today we have received new machine same is not working and again they have to replace it. we do not understand what type of service and quality control system they has.

                        we request we do not want any replacement as we have fed up calling company customer care service non of them giving proper reply. so we need our money back and we will go for some other product.

                          I have purchased a Washing Machine - SUPER-WASH-XL A-72H made of WHIRLPOOL,on 28th of Jan-2010, my machine comes under the given Warranty Period of 1 year, one Part of my washing machine somehow get default regarding this i have made a several complaint as mention

                          But no satisfactory feedback i got, every time i got the replay that "as soon part is available it will be replaced". on 2nd July-2010 i got one Telephone no.[protected] of Mr, Gautam he introduced himself as Branch Area manager, and he assured me that my problem is going to rectify within 24 working hours, but the problem remain same, on 4th & 21st of August again i call up at customer care, now i got a replay that company stops manufacturing parts of this particular model,

                          Sir i request you kindly look at this matter,because the machine i bought was from the money which i earn through my handwork.

                            Hi,
                            It's regarding bad service provided at call center and the way they behave towards customer call reponse.
                            I purchased whirlpool refrigerator on[protected] and after that i got call from your customer care center saying that service engineer visit will scheduled for our queries and they given me contact number of Mr prasad([protected]) who supposed come for giving Demo.
                            So far he not yet visited but i got message saying that service ticket get closed.After that i called customer care ([protected]) to reopen the service ticket.Almost i am struggling last 3 days keep on calling customer care center and different people will receive but no response towards my queries and they will abandon my call. Even though tried to contact service engineer who will not receive my call and he will make it busy.
                            Now really i am thinking why the hell i gone for whirlpool poduct,instead of I would have gone for some other product..
                            I want some one to take this issue very seriously and fulfill the customer requirements.

                              My whirlpool a/c had a problem of faulty display device. i booked my complaint on 1-5-2010 my complaint no is GB[protected],engineer came and confirmed that PCB is faulty and need to be replaced. My a/c was in warntee that expired on 10th jun 2010. i booked my complaints thereafter manytimes and reminded too but no one came to change the PCB. Now im asked to make the payment for service as well as PCB. when i booked my complaint before expiry and not serviced why should i make payment now.

                              Whirlpool — POOR QUALITY OF MACHINE SUPPLIED

                              Dear sir
                              Your authorised dealer supplied poor quality of washing machine (discolouration and dent in the new machine)

                              Whirlpool — Poor quality of replace PCB

                              I purchased the whitemagic H 65 stainwash in 2004
                              .
                              In jan 2010 the machine stoppedand it was diagnosed with a defective PCB.

                              It was replaced at a cost of Rs3600 by your centre in Dwarka.Now within six months the replaced PCB is defective once again.

                              How did the original PCB last five /six years,four of which were in the same house.

                              I want that the complaint given to your centre at your Centre Sec-8 ,Baghrela Village,Dwarka be on 28 July be actioned at PRIORITY.

                              My PCB be replaced free of cost with a min guarantee of two years.

                                Dear All,

                                I purchased Whirlpool Front Load Washing Machine ( ASIA No WLF 82B0A0 ), Serial Number 0049108 from army canteen, Delhi.

                                On 12th May 2010, I found that the machine was not rinsing the clothes, but the rest of the machine was functional.

                                On 16th May, Mr. Amit from Amba Refrigeration (Whirlpool Service Station), Rohtak, inspected the machine and said that PCB Europa Classic ( Type A1 023) is not working and it is required to be replaced. The PCB was not in stock in anywhere in Haryana and ask us to arrange for the same.

                                On 22nd May, we lodged a complaint in customer care request number HR [protected], but no action has been taken and and complaint was closed any visit.
                                We lodged the same complaint on 1st June and 22nd June with request numbers HR [protected] and HR [protected], but every time the request had been closed without any visit.

                                Continuously we are in contact with Mr Nirdosh ( SR Area Manager). Finally the PCB was arranged in last week of July, Mr Vikas from Whirlpool Service Station fixed the new PCB, but machine was stopped working. After that Mr Rajesh from Whirlpool, inspected the machine and asked to send the same to the service station. The machine sent to service station, now its motor, timer everything has been jammed, and it not working.

                                Please resolve this issue.

                                  I purchased whirlpool double door refrigerator in 2005.
                                  We allready had it repaired back for its cooling problem.
                                  Since last few months there was big sound form the freezer fan and water leakage problem.
                                  First the whirlpool people replaced the fan..but no use..in next complaint they replaced the fan motor..now at least I do not get the sound but the water leakage problem is still there. Complaint No. PN[protected].
                                  Even after 3-4 visits the problem is not resolved. The whirlpool engineers just ask to keep the fridge off for 1-2 days .. then only the water drains ...but again after few days the leakage starts...
                                  Always we have fbig ood loss because of this problem...
                                  We have already spent about Rs. 5000 for the fridge repaire.
                                  Even we did not got valid response from pune head office.
                                  After such frustration we have decided to buy a new fridge of some other company today only.
                                  Also I have decided to approach the Consumer Court now for the loss of Rs. 23000(refridgerator price) + Rs.5000 (repair charges) and all the frustration caused.

                                    Sir,i purchased a microwave oven on 2/7/2009 from a reputed store in chennai.unfortunately the door lock of the oven broke on 1/8/2010 and i registered a complaint on the tollfree number given in the instruction book.
                                    despite repeated attempts to get the service centre to do the repairs i had no luck.then finally the manager lies that the spare part has not been obtained from Pune and it is on the way.On 8/8/2010 they send over Manoj a technician with no interest in repairing the machine who was not only rude and arrogant but was very careless in handling the equipment.this was sent by Heaven enterprises one of the service centres in chennai.he cheats us by replacing the door panel with the door of another machine which was lying in their godown and says that spare parts are not available and charges us 1250 for the" part"replaced.when we contacted the manager mr.ravikumar he promised to look into the matter and get the new spare part from pune and replace it.now we get a message on our mobile that our complaint has been closed and we are shocked at the total cheating and fraud.the person in chrge mr.wilson also tolsd manoj to bring back our door panel and he had quietly slipped it into his bag and was caught at the door by us.
                                    it is only fair that the company replace the spares properly as we have paid for it and have been cheated by the company's recommended service centre.

                                    Whirlpool - Microwave — Service

                                    I bought a Whirlpool microwave from Whirlpool in September 2008. Within six months of buying the product, the inner sheet of the oven got burnt and the microwave vessels melted.

                                    We raised a complaint with the Whirlpool Customer Serive in February 2009. The complaint was forwarded to a service centre in Trimulgherry, Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh.

                                    The engineers visited us on more than 6 occasions, but tuill date they have not replaced the inner sheet. When we called the service centre the manager there was extremely rude and said that he does not have stock and to complain wherever we wanted to.

                                    The oven has been lying in the kithen just a showpice now as any Microwave Vessel that is put inside is melting off.

                                    So please take strong action against the Whirlpool to get the Oven itself replaced.

                                      i have purchased an airconditioner model name AVIATOR from WHIRLPOOL.
                                      from the first day it is not working properly and it is totally a defected piece.when we complaint to the shop named SARGAM ELECTRONICS , SAKCHI , JAMSHEDPUR. they said that it is the matter of authorised service center.after that we have been consulting to the service center from last 3 months they are not taking any action even our AC is under warranty. the sevice person and managers are threatning us and making joke out of it.
                                      the company is giving us warranty and promising many fake promises of warranty and service.

                                        I had purchased a Whirlpool AC on 12th July 2010 from Barnala Trading co., Ludhiana vide Bill No: BTC/10-11/851 and vide product code no: WPOCL-AC-CHROME1T SPLIT( EXEMPTED) in the name of Mrs. Poonam Jhanjee . The AC's stopped working and i has lodged a complaint at their customer care vide complaint no. CH[protected]. The engineer had visited but was unable to provide the solution. I had been calling whirlpool since then but till date the problem is not being addressed.
                                        I request for a immediate solution within 48 hrs otherwise i would be left with no option but to move court.
