          Address: Pune, Maharashtra

          Sir,

My name is Shshank Shivalle and I had purchased Yamaha R15 V2.0 from Monarch Automobiles Pune on 23rd Nov 2011. The details of my bike are as follows:

          Frame No: ME11XK01BB2008268
          Engine No: 1CK1008302
          Date of Sale:[protected]
          Colour: Blue

I did the first servicing from the same dealer on 6th Dec 2011 and from the very next day the speedometer has stopped working. The speed remains at 0 all the time

Also the engine warning light flashes on when I exceed 6k rpm or ride for long duration.
When I told the service guys regarding the problem they told me that the speed sensor will have to be replaced under warranty. But every time I go there, tell me that the sensor is not available.

It has been almost 2 months that I am waiting to get my bike’s faulty sensor replaced.

This is so frustrating!! After shelling out 1.20 Lac rupees you get a faulty product and also its spare parts are not available. Why do you guys produce bikes when you cant make the spare parts available?

I am really disappointed with the quality of electronics this bike has. You are heading on Honda CBR 250 track. Even there are some more people like me in Pune who have purchased their bikes From Monarch Yamaha and done there first servicing there and are facing exactly the same problem.

Hope to get a reply soon and to get this problem solved.

Please reply, since I'm planning to buy R15 v2.0..

          Abid Shaikh
Same problem - Speedometer doesn't function and engine failure light gets lit. When showed the bike to Yamaha Service center ( Kothrud ) ( Baner ) they say parts not available. This is so frustrating .

JAN 2011 i bought a new yamaha sz bike, from green automobile faridabad, its AIR filter is giving problem since last two month, i went to service centre and i saw there were more then 40 complaints for air filter only. its been a month there is no new air filter at the service station and they are saying it will come soon and company is doing some modifications in air filter, then they should replace it free of cost, because bike is in warranty.
it is imposing a bad name for the company.

you should improve tyre size from version 1.0, version 2.0 give less milege only so bad, i miss my version 1.0, now only i get idea to buy r15 version 1.0 but yamaha stopped that, in tamilnadu version 2.0 rarely running compare to version 1.0, , , i love version 1.0, atleast u keep handle for who sit in rear, b'coz most accident will done, i think version 2.0 is a failure model

                      Address: West Delhi, Delhi

I bought YAMAHA FZS bike from ZOOM ROADYS (an authorised dealer of YAMAHA) on 27/2/2011 . After 2-3 months of driving , its Odometer stopped functioning . So during its 2nd service (on 29/6/2011) i reported the problem and asked for its remedy. They told me that its sensor had a problem and needs to be replaced. But at that time they did'nt had a spare sensor available so they asked me to come later sometime and they will replace it under there 1 year warranty period. After that i could not go to their showroom due to some reasons and when i went again on 12/01/2012 , with same problem they said that you didnt got the 3rd and 4th services done so we cannot replace it now and that you have to buy it . Its still under warranty and before that problem i had already got 2 services done as mentioned. Apart from that the part has nothing to do with servicing as far as i am concerned but just to avoid trouble they deliberatly used it as an excuse and rudely refused over it . I was even ready to pay some compenstaion but they demanded full money for replacement by banishing the WARRANTY. So its my appeal as a consumer to look into the grievance and help me against the fraud.i am attaching the details of the dealer :
                      ZOOM ROADYS,

I'd bought Yamaha FZ s 6 months ago , from the day i purchased , i have one or the other problem with my bike . The mileage is so low , it's around 33-34, when compared to other 150cc segment bike , Yamaha fz is worst, not only mileage , even the pickup is very bad. 3 services are are already done , but there is no improvement in both mileage n pickup. from past 2 months facing problem with battery also .
There had been corrosion in the mono shock absorb , but it has been replaced with so much request with service manager .

                          Address: Gurgaon, Haryana

                          Hello Sir,

My name is Tarun Gurgaon. I just bought Yamaha FZ 16 last month (17th Oct 2011), from Green Yamaha (Gurgaon Dealer). Within one month I found problem in my bike in self start. Bike’s self start is not working due to battery problem.

I visited several time to showroom and MINDA battery dealer but they are making me fool again and again. MINDA battery dealer said I dont have single battery in my showroom to replace. I have never seen sucha pathetic service inmy life.

And It’s really shockable to me when someone from Yamaha showroom said “YOU BOUGHT THE PRODUCT OF 76000/-,SO YOU WILL HAVE TO FACE THE PROBLEM NOT US”.

it's so rediculous and same on MINDA battery and Yamaha motors. Iwill never recommend to any one to go for Yamaha products.

                          Thnaks and Regards
                          Tarun Gupta

I am an owner of a Yamaha motorcycle (Model YZF - R15) and the vehicle has not been in a working condition (doesn't start) since the past two months. Repeated attempts have been made by me in the last 60 days to contact the service centre at Andheri east, mumbai to request an engineer to visit my residence and check the bike. However, each time i have received a response that some technician would come and visit soon but nobody has been sent till now. The manager at the service centre (Mr. Sandeep Mistry - [protected]) has always assured me that he would send somebody but all in vain. He has made false claims each time and i regret dealing with such a lethargic service centre, something that is unexpected from a well known renowned brand like Yamaha. i have even contacted the Malad service centre but due to proximity to my residence, they suggested that i contact the nearest centre which happens to be Andheri East in the MIDC area.

I request you to resolve this issue and take strict action against the errant personnel concerned.

                              Thanking you

                                  Dear Mr.Takahashi,

I am an owner of a Yamaha Fazer that I purchased in March, 2011 last year. Since the last one a half year, the vehicle has just covered 6000kms. I had dropped my bike for a routine service & for heavy corrosion in the entire vehicle. Almost 10 days have passed and the job is still not done. When I checked with the dealer, he says that the company is not giving any response hence either i collect the bike without the job or talk to whoever i can to get the job done.

Since the dealer was helpless, I spoke to Mr.Sandeep from Yamaha and he said he will look into the matter but nothing happened even after that. I again called up Mr.Sandeep and reminded him about my vehicle and he said he will check and call back and he didnt bother call back. Later on Saturday, I again called up Sandeep and asked him what is happening on my vehicle and he said he will back but again the same false promise. On Saturday afternoon, I again called him and he said that he has done the work and i can go an collect the bike. I asked him the details of the jobs carried out but he refused to share and kept saying that i should go and collect the bike. After much attempts, he said that he has done a brush touch up on the vehicle and replaced one or two parts only. I asked him technically when the corrosion has reached the bare metal how long you expect it to stay with a mere brush touch up. This is a clear case of poor product quality and should be replaced without any doubt as the bike is under warranty. He upfrontly said that he will not replace the parts and i can do whatever i want. Is this the way one talks to Customer, is this Customer Service. Later on when i called him back, he says, if ou will request me, i can do something or else I can go to hell. What a horrendous treatment was that. I have never experienced such roadside treatment even from a roadside mechanic and it was surprising that a representative of a company speaks so arrogantly. HORRIBLE COMPANY.

I later on reported this matter to Mr.Naik but he also refused to hear me and hung up the phone. It seems that Yamaha has emloyed bunch of arrogant and care a damn attitude people. I still cant believe a company having employed such anti-customer employees. Its not the question of a Rs.1000 /- parts, its about the attitude of the people in your company. I will pay every single penny that it takes to set my vehicle right but I dont need any favours from Yamaha now. All I want to know, is there even one single person in the company who knows how to hear a Customer, talk politely, resolve Customer concern and build relation can call me on [protected]. I would appreciate if you personally call me me and hear me out. Its my request, please dont ask Mr.Sandeep or Mr.Naik to contact me henceforth.

Thoroughlly disappointed & angry with the entire approach.

                                  Regards,

I have purchased a Yahama FZ motorcycle in February this year.
From few Months the bike has started to give problems related to the Engine and the Breaks.
The engine suddenly stops even during speed of 20 to 30 kmphs. When i bought the bike the Acceleration was good and bikes runs very free but from 3 to 4 months, i faces many problems regarding engine. i have been to service centre many times but at that time they give the bike after inspection they say its completely ok but afterward again the same problem appears again. I was very happy when i bought the bike but now i am very disappointing. My Brother have the same bike of same month but its runs as perfect as it was. Its my request please change the engine of my bike. I am getting Irritated day by day.

                                      Hello Yamaha,
I have been really appreciating Yamaha for their bike designs and the performance of the bikes for so long. I always tend to suggest somebody to go for Yamaha if he is concerned for the quality of the vehicle. But now when I bought a FZ-Fazer for Myself just in the month of July, I am regretting my decision which is not because of the performance of the bike but the after sales service. Let me make it very clear, the parts of the bike are not available at any point of time even in your frenchised service centers. I don't understand the importance of such service centers then.
I bought my competition white color fazer-153CC on 9th July from AIMS YAMAHA, Thane. It has been performing outstandingly well. I was happy. then it was the first service time which was quite dissatisfactory because of the time taken by the service center for the first free service. during the second service same thing happened. AND then there is a strike, unfortunately I met a small accident with a car and the front fibre body part was broken. I had to give it for order (dated-13th oct) since it was as usual not available in the service center in Thane. Then I had to call them again and again for at least a week continuously for the part. My bike was working very well. However I submitted the bike on 17th Oct, 2011 to avoid any kind of problems in future and to claim for insurance. Ultimately the bike was in the service center till 7th Nov. (counting that I was out of station from 26th Oct to 6th Nov). and the best part when I got the bike back they didn't even wash it. and all over the handles and the fibre body the oil was spread. nobody bothered to clear the mess they did with the bike while doing all the fitting work. And the best part the battery was not getting charged and the bike doesn't work without the battery. and I was stuck on the midway while driving back home from my college (near about 30 km distance it is and 15 km of highway). I didn't know what to do. somehow the bike started I drove the bike without using the horn, indicator and headlight in the dark. while I had to minimize the usage of the breaks (considering breaklight also eats up battery and bike shuts down) and risk out my life in the heavy traffic areas. I took it to the service center next day and the person said the battery is discharged and need to be recharged. I said, "ok if you say so", and I dropped my bike there again for another whole day. Now at the end of the day I thought it's over. but believe me it seemed to be like a beginning. the bike did well till the second round back from my college. 3rd day when I was going to college, suddenly the display disappeared, and the red light which somewhere signifies the "battery insufficient" thing was only shouting on the board. I was on the eastern express way of Mumbai, what could have I done, again somehow I took that bike about 6 km walking with it on my feet. I was damn tired and look what, I was going for an interview in the TCS process which was coming to our college to recruit us that day. my day was screwed. the only best thing was I left home 4 hours earlier to the time when TCS was coming and finally got there at about half an hour before it did. I was so not ready to take more challenges that day, at least not after such unintended physical work.
at last I lost in TCS process. (so unfortunate..!! was it because of my preparation or because of YAMAHA service). don't think it is over now, there's more.
I went to a local battery mechanic to get this checked. the person inspected all the elements, and said that the battery charger isn't working so get that repaired in the service center itself) he later recharged the battery once again in exchange of Rs. 100/-. and then I came back home. at 10PM night which should have been hardly 7PM.
next day I again got the bike checked up and look what your person was saying there, "sir, your battery is dead, please take to the respective company and they will replace it". I had to tell those "senior mechanic grade" person of yours that the charger isn't working, and then he bothered to check it. finally he said that rectifier is not responding and your battery is not getting charged. AND LOOK WHAT, THE RECTIFIER WASN'T AVAILABLE IN YOUR SO CALLED "SERVICE CENTERS". he told me to wait another 1 week or so for the part to come (on Sunday, 13th Nov) when I called him today (tuesday, 15th Nov) I got the same answer "ONE WEEK OR SO". so here I would like to ask you
"WHEN IS YOUR ONE WEEK ENDING, AND SO DOES MY PAIN OF HAVING A YAMAHA BIKE"
This was the time when I thought I would never recommend the brand YAMAHA again to anybody and would never go for it. YAMAHA must lose the loyal customers in this way only. but then I thought let's first inform the YAMAHA India team about this, whether they know all this or not. SO I felt the need to write you about this.
It was true that it used to be a dream to have a YAMAHA bike like fazer in my hand which has just become and nightmare or rather a pain in my life

what solution you are going to give me, or I will have to wait for one week or so for your response.
I am tired and dont think can take more of it, so I think I must dissolve the asset, and go for something else. please reply to the mail ASAP
either Yamaha must sit silent and feel ashamed of its own negligence or it must stand and rise the consumer satisfaction level by giving them a good experience..

                                        Dear sir,
i bought a yamaha r15 around 1.5 years ago. it stopped working within 2 days of purchase. but dealer said it was fault of battery and replaced it for me. it again stopped working within 3-4 months, same problem, it simply doesn't start. this time i took it to service center and i was told by them that it was a problem with induction coil and electrical parts doesn't come under warrenty and i was even charged for it. but within a couple of months it again broke down. this time they said it was again a problem with battery and i was asked to change it, which i did. within 2 months it again failed. it simply doesnt start. i tried contacting their customer care. this is how the conversation went.

I had bought a yahama Fazer in 2010'Oct and i am facing problems regarding the engine of my vehicle...
