Hi,

I purchased YAMAHA SZ-R bike in one year back and have lot of problem with that bike.
I am not satisfied with that bike performance.

Problems are:
WORST ROAD GRIP.
NO MILEAGE(25kmpl)
NO PASS LIGHT
NO Parking light
NO TRIP METER
SLUGGING PROBLEM (70+ kmph)
NOT REACHING 100 so easily
MANY MORE


I am asking for refund they are not responding.
Please help me.

    Rear tyre getting damaged one side (Right Side)

    i had been using my yamaha FZ 16 bike since from almost 1 yr 8 months (7.7.2010).my bike was being parked in a dedicated parking area of a resturent with a security for the parking .even though ,the bike was being opened witht an external key apart form the spare key which was with me itself.

    As far as i am concerned i guess the locking quality of the bike wasnt good enough to resist the external keys .

      I am the current owner/user of a Yamaha FZS ( MH 01 AU 1683) bought from Kamala Yamaha in my father’s name in October 2010.

      From the first service onwards Kamala Yamaha has not been treating me right. Petrol was drawn from my own vehicle for servicing.

      On pointing it out to the parent company, the dealer and his servicing team started their step motherly treatment, which continued in one way or the other. Getting the vehicle serviced was getting difficult from one service to another and after the first rainy season of 2011, even after my specific requests the front and rear indicator lights switches, headlight switch and other issues were not which were running erratically were not attended to.

      I complained to the parent company, when Mr. Sandip ( the area manager of Yamaha) thrashed out a settlement (between me and Kamala Yamaha workshop owner) and somehow got the issues addressed.

      The partial treatment to me and my vehicle continued when sometime in November 2011 I encountered the problem of petrol leakage somewhere from the tank - carburetor assembly, a few days after I had got my vehicle serviced. I called up the service centre and spoke to the works manager Mr. Rakesh who assured me prompt attention if I were to get the vehicle at their workshop. I took my vehicle to the workshop at least three times to get the problem rectified but to no avail. I then pointed out that each time I give the vehicle for servicing it entails a lot of inconvenience - in the form of time, money and energy - me due to the fact that my residence (@ Peddar road) the workshop (@ lower Parel) and my office (@ Bhuleswar) cut across western and central Mumbai and form a triangular region.

      I was told that I would have to change the “rusted” tank as the petrol supplied from petrol stations (in my case - I tanked up only @ Indian Oil Corporation), contained a lot of water and it had rusted the tank beyond use/repair. According to the works manager the rust was flowing with the petrol in the cock and blocking the petrol supply pipe and over-flowing it at other times.
      Finally as before, I had to seek assistance from Mr. Sandip (Area representative of Yamaha), to get the problem analyzed and solved through a different service centre (somewhere @ J. J.). I was informed that some iron screw in the tank carburetor assembly had rusted and half of it had withered away resulting in the said petrol leakage, and that it had been set right. Till date I do not have the official version of the technical problem or its solution. As always I was orally informed that proper remedial steps have been taken to ensure that such service issues do not recur (with Kamala Yamaha).

      On 02/04/2012 my bike was hit from behind in a hit and run incident at V. P. Road, Mumbai. I completed all the legal formalities and on 03/04/2012 I spoke to Mr. Sandip informing him about the accident. He informed me that he was in a hospital attending to the medical requirements of some of his relative, and he assured me that in a day or two when he was supposed to resume his duty, he would arrange a pickup of the bike (by a qualified mechanic) who would take a qualified decision on the condition of the bike, whether it was fit to be taken to the service station by starting or by towing (for both of which I was ready to bear the expenses), and in the meantime he would see which service center would be the most appropriate to get the bike refurbished ( as according to my previous experiences I was very reluctant to send my bike to Kamala Yamaha workshop). Mr. Sandip did not attend my calls till 09/04/2012, when it finally dawned on me that he was acting more on behalf of Kamala Yamaha than the parent company Yamaha itself and I e-mailed my complaint to Yamaha back office and I quote

      “My bike MH 01 AU 1683 met with an accident on 02/04/2012. I got in touch with your representative Mr. Sandip on 03/04/2012 requesting him for a pickup of the bike. It seems Mr. Sandip is either tied up with some medical requirement of his family or is avoiding to attend to my request.
      Considering the unprofessional attitude by your Kamala Yamaha workshop in the recent past I was anticipating his assistance for selecting an appropriate workshop to get my bike refurbished professionally.
      I would appreciate your assistance and feedback.

      The toll free number[protected] has always been & still is not available. I could finally speak to one Mr. Gaurav at Yamaha’s western region head office at Pune ( Tel no.[protected] and narrated him my plight. He assured me that he would speak to Mr. Sandip ASAP & get the matter resolved. There was no response from either Mr. Sandip or for that matter from anyone. Mr. Gaurav refused to reveal the identities of the Superiors of Mr. Sandip and also flatly refused any co-operation in providing me with the telephone numbers of Yamaha’s Head Office. I spoke to a customer service representative Mr. Chinna at Yamaha’s Customer Service Centre located at Gurgaon (Tel no.[protected], who assured me of prompt attention and informed me that he would escalate the matter and get it resolved.

      On 10th or 11/04/2012 I spoke to Mr. Naresh a Yamaha associate at their Head Office[protected] and gave him the relevant details. He sympathized and assured me that he would talk to Mr. Sandip and set things right at the earliest.

      On 12/04/2012 I spoke to another customer service associate Mr. Jaybharat at Yamaha’s Gurgaon location who informed me that the last complaint on record was the one I had sent the company about the petrol leaking from the tank.

      As of today[protected].15 am) while I am writing this communication I have not received any communication from either of the Outlets, Service Centres or the Head Office.

      Now, I am left with no option but to tap legal avenues available to me (at Yamaha’s costs & consequences), as this company doesn’t seem to subscribe to “customer service” or a” after sales service” after selling a vehicle. As also I feel the “unprofessional, disgraceful & junglee” attitude is not limited to its dealer Kamala Yamaha but is a part & parcel of the parent company.

      I agree. I bought Yamaha FZS 2 months ago and there is rust near the exhaust. I took it to Yamaha for servicing and told them about the rust and they said they are not taking the complaints for rust anymore. I got irritated and went to supervisor and he tried to tell me that rust is caused by rain and I should just put some oil in it. HORRIBLE PEOPLE WHO WORK AT YAMAHA.

      I would never ever recommend or buy Yamaha product in my life. This company sucks

        Dear Yamaha Team,

        Recently my bike Yamaha-FZS rear right signal flasher was broken. I bought the Flasher from Venkatesha Motors in Rajbhavan Road at Somajiguda in Hyderabad. Showroom people told me that we sell only spares at Somajiguda and installation/repair will be done at Erragadda which is approx 5km from Somajiguda. So i travelled from Somajiguda to Erragadda to get the flasher installed.

        I reached Erragadda Venkatesha Motors Service center . I told the problem to the Work shop supervisor(His Name is Deepak). He gave the response that we will not be installing the flasher I showed him the bill which was issued by the showroom of where he is working but he did not care even showing the bill and told the same answer.

        He even abused his employer saying that the in charge of the showroom will sit leisurely and send the customers to service center. After that Workshop supervisor(Deepak) told me to go back to the showroom from where I have purchased the flasher which means i have to travel back again 5km from there in hyderbad traffic.

        This is not at all expected from Yamaha Service. Means, they don't want to replace the spares even though it was bought from their showroom. They even don't care the bill which were issued by them. And in turn abuse the customers. So I didn't give my Vehicle for Paid service with the response that he has given.

        Even Yamaha Vehicles are equipped with State of the art technology but with this type of Service and with this kind of people how peoplw will trust Yamaha Products.

        Please do the need ful in this issue. I expect a speedy response in this regard.

        P.S. My Father is the sub-dealer under Good Will Agencies Vijayawada. I bought the Vehicle from our showroom. Since my job location is Hyderabad my bike plies on the Hyderabad Roads. We also give service to the Vechicles which were bought from another Yamaha Showroom. T o be specific we serviced several Vehicles which were bought from Pearl yamaha and Venkatesha Motors.
        Even upon telling the the Venkatesha Motors Workshop Supervisor(Deepak) that we are the sub-dealers he even didn't care that also.
        It seems basically he didn't care anything .

        Dear, customer care excutive,
        i have one airtel postpaid no. [protected], my Old sim has been lost on dated 30 june 2008, i hv called your cc. excutive on 30 june at night they have delivared me a new sim no. is[protected], but it's not activated till yet..it is showing sim ragistration FAILED..PLS, ACTIVATE MY NEW SIM ASAP...

          i avadhesh gupta (vasai ) i have purchase a yamaha SZ R from sadguru auto mobile showroom.which is at nallasopara. but after 3 months i have given my bike to authorise yamaha service centre.(paras yamaha ) vasai. but after servicing i have seen that my bike parts was change. i talk to the service centre manager about this but he told that ur bike part has not been change.after long discussion. i have decided that i will not receive my bike from service centre. i have call to yamaha customer care for that but they have not respond me properly.
          so, plz do needful for me & suggest me best solution.

            Hi
            I had bought Yamaha SZX before 1 year. Mileage is my problem, company offers 55-60 km-pl but am getting only 30km-pl on the highway with the speed of 55 kmph. i don't know what happened..not me ..even one of my friend also his bike has only 6 months old, even he also got 30-34, it varies sometimes i used to get 27, 30, 32,25 respectively. So i need an advice why it happens like this. Company provided 55 km-pl. at least i need to get 45 km-pl.so i request you to give some advice that what i have to do.

              Hi,

              I have bought my FZ16 on Feb'11 and after two months the starting problem started.I was unable to start the bike with the starter and I have push the bike and start.Seeing the problem I replaced the battery in warranty.Now after two-three months the problem again started.I just want to know the reason of the problem is it with the battery or with the starter and I wish every FZ owner will look for this answer.


              PLEASE GIVE THE REASON!!!!!!!!!

                This is vara prasad kalla(working in INFOSYS TECHNOLOGIES), who recently purchased the bike(yamaha szr) on 10th [protected]@yamaha showroom kondapur.
                I dont understand on what basis are people given a job to work for esteemed companies like YAMAHA. Its not only important to maintain the standards of goods that YAMAHA manufactures, customers hope they should also know how to attract customers by their good ways in the product they sell.

                DAY 1: I have been to this showroom on Saturday morning, paid the whole amount 66,350 on cash and asked to deliver the bike. The bike is full of dust and they got it watered which still has dust. I expected the sales manager( NAVEEN) to get it cleaned and then someone atleast should be explaining us to just check if everything is operational. No one came to me to tell or explain me, felt very bad. i thought its ok.

                DAY 2: I expected to receive the TR on the same day, they asked me to come on Monday. I went in the evening in my office hours getting a permission.
                I dont understand they made to sit for an hour just to say my TR is not ready. Why the hell woulnt they check and give me a call after its ready.

                DAY 3: I went in the morning and still my TR is not ready, how blind are the sales people. They can follow up on this and get it done and then can give a call to the customer who would be least expecting and awaiting for this call. Why at all customers have to roam around the showrooms for getting the TR.

                DAY4: After repetitive calls, no one lifts my call ofcourse. I again went to showroom sat asusual for one hour and finally got the TR. Here is the twist , they were not able to generate the INVOICE(what a shame). They told me to collect in the evening, what the hellz wrong with these guys. M i a fool to roam around these many times. They just give a about this. They feel they own yamaha showroom. I thought its ok again.

                DAY5:Went in the morning to get the invoice, they said there's a problem with the printer and after waiting for one hour i got to know the invoice is not yet ready.
                This is on march 15th , I have also requested for change of mud gear from white color to black color. MR. Naveen , the sales manager in operation gave me a word that he would get it done on the same day of the bike delivery. But the words are just to blow me. I have paid the extra amount for the mud gear change also.
                My daily routine in the morning for one week is to go this showroom ask for them if the invoice is ready and also about the mud gear. No one responds, they keep saying the same story. Customers are fools is the tag line. Great service!!

                DAY 6: Sales guy to me, Sir, ur invoice is not yet ready. He still tell me to come and collect it on monday and here i am frustated and lodging a complaint.

                NOTE : I STRICTLY WANT SOMEONE TO TAKE SOME ACTION ON THIS. PLZ DO NOT FOOL CUSTOMERS. HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND. I AM ONLY LODGING THIS COMPLAIN AFTER ROAMING AND PUTTING EFFORT FOR ONE WHOLE WEEK, STILL IN VAIN.

                  i hav a yamaha r15 and its done abt 39000km and it is having engine complaint. it it said dat its gear shaft is worn out and need to replace the shaft.
                  yamaha sayin that its bcause of my over sppeding.. is r15 for slow speed economy ride? if so wats the racing DNA? ive done regular servicing and oil change. only changed rear tyre to 130/70-17 pirelli.

                      Hi I am Leelakumar, using FZ-s bike from past 2years, Now am facing the problem with Fuel indication even tho i put 300rs or 400rs fuel it displayed only 1 point in fuel display.

                      My bike Fuel indication is not working from last 1month,When i gave for servicing i informed this and they charged 180/- and replaced with new fuel indication sensor but still am facing same problem, again i went to service center and asked they are unable to solve my problem,Simply they are telling we checked every thing there is no problem.

                      They are telling some silly reasons if we touch bike fuel will shake so it will not give correct indication.
                      But from last 2years i never faced this problem.

                      Please give me the solution for this.

                        As advised by you I have contacted your Calicut dealer M/s. Apco mo-bikes and they have taken some photos of my vehicle , xerox copies of service book & accident claimed bills in 2nd week of February 2012. Mr Muhammad,Service Manager assured me within ten days the complaint will be rectified. But sorry to inform you that when I have contacted him (05/03/2012) he informed me that to contact Yamaha directly because I have lodged the complaint directly to you after a negligent approach from the dealer. I am not expecting this type of behavior from reputed dealer of yours.

                        I am using Yamaha bikes from last 7 years but this type of experience is first time for me.

                        Keeping the good long relations with you I once again request you to please look into the matter and do the needful to resolve my complaint,failing which I shall compelled to move leagally in Consumer Forum to safe guard my interest.

                          I purchased Yamaha FZS from Venkatesha motors Hyderabad within 6 months of purchase clutch plate got burnt I replaced it .After that new clutch plate started giving issue in 4 months and I had to replace it again .Now for every 2 months clutch plate burning out and I am keep on replacing .Last time when I had the this issue service center mechanic informed me the clutch plates are wearing off because of faulty engine and my bike is defected piece.So far I have changed my clutch plates 5 times each time costing me Rs 2500 (clutch plate + service charge ).So now within one and half years I have lost around Rs 12500 for clutch plate replacement .I mailed Yamaha motors regarding this issue but they never responded .I want to drag them to consumer court now .

                            Hi All,

                            I Purchased my yamaha FZ-S at Raj Yamaha. Bike is fine. But this Show room is THE THE WORST Service, I have ever seen. There is no time keeping, not maintaining the words or keeping the words, customer is not treated in good manner, making to wait for long time while leaving the bike for service also for getting the bike back after service. Today also I have waited for nearly 1 hour for getting my serviced bike, but after an hour, after a small argument they are telling that, Bike is not ready. I left the bike yesterday morning. This is not happening for the first time, All the six services I cant able to bare with this persons. More over service is also not good. One of the worst service I have ever seen.

                            Hi im chidanand from tumkur (karnataka), i puchased yamha FZ16 in month of december 26, 2009 in future yamaha from tumkur, my compalint is my bike headlight reflector is having lot of black dot's i shown to service engineer in 1st service on month of FEB 3 rd , he didn't take any action for that, after few day's the head black are increased, again i visit to show room on 11 th feb 2010,he told to me came back on 15 th Monday,again i visit to showroom on 15th of Monday, then again he told came back on Tuesday then the service engineer told we don't have stock, then i called to future yamha service enchrge he told to me we con't do anything,then i discuss through phone with the service in-charger, he told we con't replce the head light reflector assembly,we want to do no problem like dat and he used some single words also.so i decided to register complaint against the manager of future yamaha(his name is MURULI his contact number is [protected]) and service incharger his name s BABU and his contact number is [protected], they not give respect for any customers.

                            And i want complaint one more issues i bought bike n month of DEC 25th 2009,the yamaha company is offered 2000 RS worth gift,still im not received any gift from future yamaha show room,they already completed 50 day's when they distribute the gift's????they not give any gift voucher's to me.....last few day's back i ask with manger they not responding to me.......why they doing like that????

                            Hi All,

                            I Purchased my yamaha FZ-S at Raj Yamaha. Bike is fine. But this Show room is THE THE WORST Service, I have ever seen. There is no time keeping, not maintaining the words or keeping the words, customer is not treated in good manner, making to wait for long time while leaving the bike for service also for getting the bike back after service. Today also I have waited for nearly 1 hour for getting my serviced bike, but after an hour, after a small argument they are telling that, Bike is not ready. I left the bike yesterday morning. This is not happening for the first time, All the six services I cant able to bare with this persons. More over service is also not good. One of the worst service I have ever seen.
                            After servicing the byke in Sri Motors in Chennai, the front wheel is not rotating properly and if I apply break disc brake then byke is jerking. Raised a complaint against the worst service in yamaha (IC-08394-Q4H8) but they showed me that they are very worst than their authorized service centers. Almost more than a month they are not responding.

                              I bought one Yamaha FZ 4 months back. Last week when i parked my bike in home, mistakenly not put full side stand..So the vehicle felldown...No accident..nothing.. just vehicle fell down because of side stand.. You what was the impact...Handle bar bend as well as fork bend.. i can digest for handle for bend but i am not able to digest for fork bend.. (priviously i have used Pulsor 150 CC bike.. 100 times i felldown in the road while driving.. i have not got any complaints like fork bend.. ) Can you please imagine.. what will happen if anybody met an accident with this kind of poor quality bike..

                              I request Yamaha to produce some quality products (please don't concentrate only outlook...and don't play with our life...), I have plan to sell my bike and go for CBZ (solid strong one)

                                I had purchased the Yamaha ss125 2011. My complaint is I'm not at all getting spare for my bike at the service centre, they saying not availble . Then why you people are selling bike and servicing bike. Also I'm struggling from back pain already due to Yamaha seat set I'm getting more pain.

                                    i had a problem of front disc brake it makes a scratching noise while driving as well as the front wheel is not free its a bit tight..i have till visited the yamaha service center 12 times for the same problem but it was never fixed but was always assured that it is fixed now they have crossed the limit and i also want to take it to the next level let them also see how we people suffer.

                                      sir,i am arun mohan.i purchased yamaha fzs from george maijo industries,kollam,kerala on 21st jan 2012.i done its 1st service on 8/2/2012 when it covered 995km and my bike shows complaint when it covered 900km.it was an oil leakage from engine side (cylinder head left side) and I told about the complaint to the dealer on its 1st service.when i received the bike after service they told me "it was a mistake in engine fitting.we cleared it and won't comes again".And the thing is,its still leaking.what should I do? I hope you consider my complaint as soon as possible.
