Address: Mysore, Karnataka

I have purchased YAMAHA-SZR (KA09-EU1955) on[protected]. From the date of purchase I got serviced 6 times at ARJUN MOTORS, Mysore, but they are giving Very Poor Service. I have also mailed to Yamaha Company regarding this Problem. But there is no use of Complaint. Company also tells, Person from Authorised Service Center will call you and Attend the problem & I went somany times to service center with my vehicle after getting service to my Vehicle. But small Problems is still in my Vehicle.

I am complaining that, ARJUN MOTORS, MYSORE who is authorised Service Center for Yamaha Bikes @ Mysore is giving poor service to Vehicles & YAMAHA COMPANY also not responding regarding my mail.

Thanking you,

Yamaha — Poor Servicing

I purchased a Yamaha Gladiator in October 2008. I have always got it serviced from the authorised service centre. However, with each service, the performance of the bike has progressively deteriorated. Before each service, I informed them that the mileage of the bike was below average but even after 8 months and 5 serviciings, it has not improved. Moreover, after each service, new problems pop up, to correct which I have to pay several visits to the service centre after each servicing. Since the service centre is authorised by Yamaha, is it liable for the servicing as well. I don't want any compensation. I'd just like the damage to my bike to be undone, and reliable servicing in future.
I am owning Yamaha Gladiator RS (2009) model, and i feel bad service support from Sri Motors in Jaffer Khanpet KK nagar Chennai, as for the past three free service i informed the engineer to check tha anonimous sound from engine and they didn't.
Reminder 2.

Dear Sir,
From past 21 days my bike is with BIKERS and i have no information when i will get my bike. Kindly let me know the status on my bike. My next reminder mail will be to CEO on YAMANA only.

Regards
Senthil.

To Manager,

Sub: Poor service received from the service centre (Yamaha Factory Malad west)

I had given my bike for servicing on 28 January 2012- Main reason for it scorching noise from the front tyre disc
Name of the mechanic: Ahemad – (I was assured problem was fix, I took test ride every thing was okay)
However next day I realized I was facing same problem again.

On Monday 30 January 2012, I again visited the repair center, and discuss the issue with Ahemad
Who applied oil on the disc break and said issue is resolved which was not the case –
This is an example of very poor customer service provided by the Yamaha service centre as while servicing there was no oil applied by the mechanic on the front tyre

I want my problem to be resolved or I will take the issue with consumer court and seek legal assistance as this has cost me time,
Also this is the second time I was given runaround by Yamaha service centre at Malad

I really appreciate your help.

Regards,
Vinod Singh Negi

Hi,

I am completely fed up of the servicing provided by Yamaha centre. I did servicing on 10 Nov and they changed engine oil. After that my bike started giving jerks. It haults whenever I reduces the speed. Many a time I escaped accidents also. I went for next service in Jan and told them about the issue. As a result, they changed the engine oil again and charged 600/- but the issue was unresolved.

I bought this bike in 2009 and since then I didn't miss any service and timely went to service centre ONLY. I have problem in my leg and that is the only reason I avoid any problem in my bike. I can't drag it from the middle of the road if it breaks down and today I faced the same problem. The bike was not starting at all. I had to somehow drag it to my room (2Km). Now tell me what should I do? This is the second time I am raising a complain flag against them. This is not acceptable, if I am telling them the problem then they should look into it. Merely washing the bike and charging 600-1000 is not fair. Last time also they injected some sound making defect in my bike and I had to pay them, inorder to get it resolved.

Thanks,
Nitin.

    Hi Friends,

    A small story....rather a true one.

I work for a software firm in Chennai. I was having some problems with my Yamaha bike, so I gave it for servicing to Paras Yamaha. The person who attended me behaved very politely. He inquired about the bike issues, took a test ride and then assured me that all issues are minor and will be fixed, but it will take 2 days. I agreed to that as I love my bike too much.
On the day of delivery, I went to Paras and inquired about the person who attended me last time. He came after a few moment. By that time I have already paid my bills. My bike was ready. Suddenly that person asked for a test drive and asked me to sit on the pillion. I was happy as I was able to ride my bike again. Suddenly he stopped the bike outside the service center premises and asked for a tip. I never knew that a tip can be so expensive - it was one thousand rupees(Rs.1000). I asked him the reason. And he blabbered that if he would not have helped me then the bill would have been 3 times what I paid. I told him that he can't charge me like this. He sternly told me that not a penny less than 1000. He was having my bike with him, and not ready to hand it over. I clearly sensed a sting in his words. I took out my purse. He took whatever was there in my purse(around 300 bucks). I was really shocked that how can a person working for such a brand behave like this. I really felt pity rather that getting angry.

My opinion is that, I think Paras Yamaha is not paying their employees efficiently. It is not only stampeding Paras Yamaha but the brand YAMAHA too. Yamaha Motors please choose your dealers wisely.

    Thanks.

In 2010 I bought new Yamaha FZ bike .Within 4 months the clutch plate got burn and I had to replace .Within 3 months again same problem repeated.
again I changed the clutch plate .Within 1 year I changed my clutch plate total 6 times .Each time it costed me Rs 2500 to 3000 .(replacing the part + service charge)
totally I lost Rs 16,0000 within a year .I have kept 5 bill receipts from the authorized Yamaha service center. The mechanic in the work shop told me clutch plate is burning because of defective engine.I sent mail to yamakha back office regarding the issue but no response from them.I wanted to take the yamaha to court but being a software engineer I hardly get any time to go behind all this. After a year I stopped using that bike because for every one and half month I had to replace clutch plate. Bike is lying in my house back yard.I never had clutch plate issue in my previous bike suzuki samurai and in my new bike Royal Enfield. Usually bike company place the blame on riders for clutch plate burning .I was handling my bike carefully still clutch plate used to burn.Totally I have lost around 1,00,000 (bike money + 160000)

Myself Yashas, I own a Yamaha R15 V2.0. I am very disappointed by the way I am being treated when I take my bike for service. I am asked to be present along with my bike at sharp 0930hrs if I want my bike to be serviced and they don't take into consideration the tasks I am tied up with. It is the duty to of them to service my bike under any circumstances. They can't ask me to come at the time they are comfortable with. I don't see Yamaha being a trusted brand providing a good after sales service. I also want to mention that I visited the service station thrice including today. Do they think I don't have any better work? They say there isn't enough space to park the vehicle which is none of my problem. Earlier they provided good service as the number o[censored]nits sold was sale maybe and as the units sold has increased they need to increase the plant of service station to cope up with the demand for the product. Never expected this from such an international brand.
        Greetings from Yamaha.

I bought Yamaha FZ-S three months ago. I started rusting near exhaust pipe within a month. I took it for service and told them about the rust. The service guy told me that I'll have to bring it to service engineer so he can have a look at it. Well, Service manager wasn't there so I just decided to wait till next service. Two days ago I took my bike for servicing. I told the guy about rust and he said that they are not taking complaints for rust anymore. Wow..what kind of people work there? It says on my warranty manual that rusting is covered unless it's by industrial damage.

I went to the showroom and pointed it out that their mechanics are not taking complaints for rust. Supervisor looked at the rust and said that it's caused by the rain and advised me to put some oil in the rust so it doesn't spread. I paid $77,000 so some douchebag could tell me how to cure rust instead of taking my complaint.

I will never buy Yamaha product anymore and will most likely sale this bike soon because people who work at Yamaha are bunch of douchebags. All they care about is selling their bike..they don't care about their customers after they sell the bike.

Today, I had paid serviced my Yamaha FZ16 bike at YAMAHA DEALERSHIP named DELHI SCOOTERS at UTTAM NAGAR where I asked the advisor & mechanic to just change Engine oil(Rs 305), Oil filter(Rs 35), Front Disk pad(Rs 250), Rear Break Shoe(Rs 130), Accelerator Throttle Cable(Rs 215) with normal lubrication under paid service. They charged me too expensive BILL OF Rs 2300/- in paid service with very unreasonable labor charges of Rs 1157 including Rs 300 as paid service cost even more than the cost of Rs 1100 parts replaced that never be justified as so much of labor charges. Please take care of such fake labor charges cheating the bike customers dependent on bike. In case Yamaha really want to take care of his customer then please contact [protected]@[protected].

My bike yamaha FZ16 ran 16200kms in about 2years with proper servicing in time.

The engine gets hot and smells like hot iron, engine makes noises.

When shown to the Pacer service center they lack in expertise, They say the smell is because of the mud and the engine gets hotter in summers. Little engine noise is normal behavior.

when i went to the manager, the employees started complaining that i am late to the service by month.

Me and my brother had planned to go for an outing on a weekend with my bike to place which is around 150-160 from my place at Kolkata. I had my bike serviced and got it checked up as usual and did a paid service at an authorized Yamaha service station in Kolkata (LEADERS(Opp.South City Mall)) much earlier than the due date as I had a plan after some days to go off for a trip. As always the bike felt awesome for the next few days after service. Now the day for my trip came and we started off early morning with my R15.We had a good ride and reached pretty well without a single problem or hassle with the refined Yamaha engine of R15.

The next day we were on our way back home to Kolkata. We nearly crossed 100 km or so and reached a place called “Mecheda crossing” around 80-90 km from Kolkata when suddenly the engine started to make a peculiar metallic sound. I stopped by lane and started to look for the sound and discovered that it was coming from inside the engine.I called up Yamaha service people and described the situation and they said to any how bring it to the service station at Kolkata driving slowly. We planned to cruse at a very low speed to cover up the rest of the distance and reach home and garage safely. We started to ride again when suddenly after 4-5km the acceleration became zero as there was no response from the throttle and an orange light started blinking from the console.i was afraid and somehow in the mid highway I crawled my bike to the by lane beside. I called up the Yamaha Pro Service Team in Kolkata at Factory Shop (near kestopur, baguihati) and told them the issue. They were clueless in the phone which is quite obvious as they were not able to see the bike and I couldnot provide them with any information rather than describing the situation. Anyhow I managed a goods vehicle who charged a very high 4000 rupees to bring my bike from there to Kolkata Yamaha service station. I agreed as I had no other options than that. Some how, somewhere in my mind I thought that the problem and bad time I was having for last 2-3 hrs is over and my bike will be going safely to the service station. After a long 4hrs journey on the top of a matador me and my brother reached the factoryshop(Kolkata, kestopur) and submitted the bike and they assured that they will look into the issue and let me know the very next day about the details and all.

Now, very next day I called up to know the issue but they assured that as it was an internal problem they need to open up my engine and look inside to detect and they will get back to me as soon as possible. After few days they called me back and said the issue they have detected and they are going to replace few parts which are badly broken or not working inside. I agreed and said them to replace them and return my bike as fast as possible as I was without my yamaha for about 2weeks now. Ater 2-3 days they called me up and said that the bike is ready and I can come down to take the delivery. Me and my friend reached the factory shop and after some time the real problem started. They are not ready to give me warranty. Everytime I am asking them that why should I not get a a warranty as my bike has only done 21000 km and with all the service done from authorized Yamaha service stations(Leaders ,Kolkata,Opp.South City mall) and that too on time (and sometimes before time) they are saying some technical things which are going above my head and trying to prove that the bike has done 21000km hassle freely which means there was no manufacturing problem so the warranty cant be provided which is just not acceptable. I visited “leaders service station”(where all my free and paid service has been done) to discuss the issue but they are not ready to discuss anything as the bike is at factory shop at kestopur . When I go to the Factory shop they are saying that nothing can be done and I have to pay a heavy amount for the parts replacement to collect the bike. Not to mention when purchasing the bike they told me about the Yamaha protection plus (extended warranty) which will be protecting and warrant my bike for the kms after 30000. But as now my bike has done only 21000 kms and falls within the Yamaha given warranty limit then why should I not get the warranty and get so many hassles to run from one service station to another and stay without my bike for about 1month or more.

Me and my total friend community where most of the friends possess Yamaha bikes are really very depressed and shocked with such a service backup spider web set up of Yamaha which is not hassle free and smooth like the Yamaha engines and which is totally cheating me with a concept of warranty if the bike is serviced and looked after by Yamaha engineers till 30000kms. I also have bike from other manufacturers which had always supported me and provided me with the proper service and warranty backups but this incident seems unacceptable totally.

Now my bike is with Yamaha and am feeling helpless and have nothing but to write this mail to Yamaha to get my bike back …

I've bought a Yamaha FZ-S on 30th Mar 2012, since then I've faced a lot of problems, firstly the shock-up gave up(replaced under manufacturer warranty), then the battery already dead, no horn, no lights; getting rust on the frame.
Not even 6 months of purchase and I haven't rode the bike without any tension, it seems I've placed a bet of 81k and have lost.
Tell me, what am I supposed to do?
                                Greetings from Yamaha.

I have bought my yamaha FZS bike 2years back and have been getting the service done in BIKERZ yamaha, chrompet for the past 2years. I have always been disturbed by the quality of service provided and interaction with customer is always a let down. The reason being this service centre is the only nearest service station for me, i have no choice except to get it done there.
2 weeks back, i have visited the service station to get a replacement for a part. Its related to Rear brake. Since there was no spare parts available the concerned person have told me that they will raise a order request to get the spare. But its been 2weeks and even now they dont give a proper answer.
                                  1. They are not sure if the order is placed. Each person has his own version whetehr the order was placed or not.
                                  2. They dont even bother getting a replacement from the other local yamaha dealers.
Below are the numbers i have spoken to but sadly there is no proper respone.

Pathetic service from Yamaha service center at Cochin (PSN Agencies pvt Ltd 35/278, NH Palarivattom, 682025)
I have given my FZ-16 for service mentioning 3 complaints, 1) Selft start not working sometimes 2) Indicator not working some times 3) Front tire air leakage. When I went to take the bike after service, All the three complaints remain the same.
The mechanic cured my problem (self start) by pushing the bike putting in 1st gear and made it started and gave it to me. Regarding front tire air leakage, they said I better give to some tire mechanic, so that they have better knowledge. When I tried using indicator, some times it works and some times not.
