    Address: Jalandhar, Punjab

I have purchased Yamaha Bike “FZ-S” in November, 2011 from your dealer “M/s. Gupta Motors, Jalandhar, Punjab”, now I got information from service engineer of said dealer that the bike Piston Kit has to be replaced.

I have never experienced such a bad news in my past experience with my previous bike Pulsar 150 of Bajaj. I used my pulsar bike rough & tough even very grievous way but I never heard this thing that my Piston Kit is damaged or else & has to be replaced in my four years riding period.

For your information, I purchased FZ-S in November last year as I said above & avail two free services before going to displace in April month end for some months. First service in third week of December (800Kms) & second service in first week of March (2000 kms).

I returned back to my home place in starting August & within 12days I took my bike for got services (5856kms) & where I faced a lot of problem as following:

Reached service center (M/s. Gupta Motors) around 2:00 noon
Request for Service the bike immediately & get response after 45min (Yes or No response)
After complete all the formalities I have been informed that two services elapsed & fifth free service will be applied. I have no time to arguments because I have to reach my office before 3 o’clock I said go ahead with the same & confirm me exact time of delivery.
6.00pm time I got but I requested for 6.10pm time for my bike due to some traffic as well as rush on the way & confirmed by service engineer sharp 6.10pm
I reached sharp 6.00pm near by M/s. Gupta Motors and made call to service engineer that I’m just reaching & prepare the invoice as well as clearing docs but I got reply that he is on the way to home & come tomorrow. I said “I’m going to your office & reply there this thing that after commitment you didn’t wait & going to home.
When I reached M/s. Gupta Motors, I told everything which was confirmed to me & make again call to service engineer & he put the phone on “SWITCH OFF”
After all unenviable response I have been informed to come tomorrow evening as (*) your bike is service successfully (morning time I refused because of my office timing is 9.30am to 6.00pm).
Next day morning (I think after some pressing by manager of M/s. Gupta Motors to their service engineer) I received a call from service engineer that your bike Piston kit has to be replaced (*) and overall charges for the same will be around 5000~6000INR & is not under warranty (got response from service engineer without checking docs)
I shocked & speechless to any argument as I’m not engineer or technically sound.
I told that I’m unable to pay such a big amount as the bike is new and I refused to change the kit & He told you can take your bike but it has to be replaced & check your engine oil fortnightly basis from us & not go with this bike on long route.
At evening when I reached again he was not there and I took my bike and came back to my routine.
After then (For checking of engine oil fortnightly) I reached back to M/s. Gupta Motors on 5th September & request again to change the kit on free of cost because this bike is almost 9 months old. But after a 4 hours waiting got response in negative.

My mean to write a history and in detail is to just clear you that where & how I reached this situation from bike successfully service to replacement of Piston kit on chargeable basis instead under warranty.

Now yesterday I’m facing pick-up problem in my bike & I’m unable to pay a such amount within a year time of bike. It’s really a shocking & bad experience in Yamaha Bike which I have never experienced in my previous bike (Pulsar) and hope that no anyone other had before in any bike. I change to Yamaha because in biking only two are legend one with quality & performance - are Enfield & Yamaha but I think I’m wrong.

Now I humble request you to solve this matter on priority basis as I’m depending on my bike more than any other thing because of my routine & work need and don’t force to quite using Yamaha products in future please.

Waiting for a favorable response immediately.

    Thanking you,
    With kind regards

    Aman Deep Singh

      Sir/ Madam,

      Registration Number : KL 01 BC 4593
      Bike model : YAMAHA R15
Address of dealer: HILTON YAMAHA, ULLOR, TRIVANDRUM, KERALA .
      Engine number : 2035330/1035161
I own this vehicle ( registration in my mother's name Udayakumari S) only from last month, it was the perfect bike for me and it was my dream to have this bike and I waited a long time for this .
It was on 23/9/2011 I have given my R15 towards its 1st service at HILTON YAMAHA ULLOR and they told me it will take two days for its service and I was ready to wait because I wanted my
bike at perfect condition. On 24/9/2011 about 3.30 pm I went to the service center to collect my vehicle and I collected it and got out while i was checking the paint from the body was gone
it was Heartbreking for me and on further inspection I found that paint from various parts have gone and a bubble like swelling had occurd all over it so I complained it to the service center and
they told me they will replece that part. But Sir/ Madam I fear that this painting problem will arise all round the body and I want to replace my bike with new one or please change all the parts
with new parts. It is quite heartbreaking for me because I trusted yamaha motors and your after sales service too much to spend my 107000RS on this bike. Please do take actions towards
this and please make it fast I need my bike as soon as possible .
      Yours sincerely

While servicing the free service of my new bike, AMRIT MOTORS forgot to put back one of the spare part of my bike that is called dusk that attached with the plug to make it cooler. They admit it that it is the mistake on their part but no one really want to help. They said that person lefts the job who serves your bike last time (3rd Free Service) and that part is missed now. Both in 4th and 5th free service, I requested them to bring the new one and I am ready to pay for it but even then they don't care and up till now they just make excuses that part is not easily available, sometimes said on the way, sometimes will be available in 2 days. This left no other option for me except complaining here.

My new bike is now in lot of trouble due to that but no one from YAMAHA ready to help even I emailed them twice. Their 1 year warranty is nothing more then a joke.

Please contact them and ask them to help me.

          Dear Sir/Mam,

This is to bring to your kind attention that, i have bought a Yamaha SZR bike in the month of June, 2011. I gave for 1st services @ Mani motors(Tondiarpet, Chennai), the service was bit satisfactory. But gave my 2nd service @ Raj Yamaha (OMR, Chennai), the Service & the relationship was extremely unsatisfactory & Sick. They called after a week to check if the service was good, I told them that I still have a problem with the accelaration, gear & the milage of the bike. They asked me to come the very next day. I did, stating the complaint. But when i went in the evening to pick the bike, the problem has been worse & the Manager there never seem to look into the complaint. after waiting for 1hr, he sent a Service guy to check. The guy cheked & said that the problem i stated is genuine. Later the Manager also rode the bike, but he says "there is no such problem & the bike model itself seems to be like that" later the manager gave me someother bike of the same model for a test ride. That bike does not have that problem. One of the service man from the same center adviced me not to give my bike for service there, since they dont genuinely look into the problem. The Manager is also harsh to all the customers who gave for services.
Due to few service centers like this the whole brand value is getting affected.
Please suggest me a another good Yamaha Service Center where I can get my bike properly serviced.

Kindlg request you to take some serious action against the issue.

          Thanks & Regards,
          Alfred

I have purchase YAMAHA SZ-X bike on December 2010 from MALAD YAMHA FACTORY SHOP. I have been told this bike will give average of 60 KMPL but after 4th service also a average is not more than 40 KMPL.
Even on my 4th service when i went to took my bike there was a starting problem in my bike they handover me by removing some petrol from carborater & told me once the engine get worm bike will run properly. there was a choke problem in my bike witch a technician did not check. The running problem of my bike engine was still there when i used bike for a day so i went to the service center by the time have notice them a choke problem. when I went to take bike they told the choke problem is also solved & charge me 100 Rs. witch they should not. Even after the chock problem was there after 4 to 5 days my bike engine was not starting coz of choke in the middle of road, there was no option than a local technician he shown me the chock piston was blocked due to rust witch was not cleaned by YAMAHA. the local technician has done it well till today the choke is running well. This has happened at YAMAHA MALAD FACTORY SHOP .

I purchased yamaha r15 bike in pune from factory outlet two weeks back. and it started showing multiple problems like decoloring along the handle, rusting of front disc break, high sound in rear break (even after mud/dust cleaning it start coming again within 1 km ride), rusting/coppery deposits all across the front section- it gives a very pathetic look as if the bike is second hand or quite old. yesterday it stoped...i was unable to start the bike..battery smhow finished and i was unable to ON bike...i observed water vapour inside the techometer and multiple display. Ironically next morning battery was normal n i could start bike!! Factory shop people saying they can repair the bike...but i dont want a repaired bike when i have paid for a new bike!!

Now i want a replacement as i have paid for a new bike not for a defective piece!! therefore i am filing a lawsuite for economical and mental harassament. do write your views guys

I am a proud owner of yamaha fazer. i purchased the vehicle from hilton yamaha, ulloor, Trivandrum, Kerala. i am giving the vehicle for regular servicing at the mentioned franchisee and was
satisfied with their service. My bike is having a major complaint for its chain sprocket. On 23rd of AUG 2011, i gave it for repair and service at hilton motors, ulloor and they promised me to deliver the vehicle on sat 27th of AUG 2011. i contacted the franchisee and was shocked to know that the chain sprocket spare part is not available with them.

Now, coming to the main subject of my mail. I want to ask the yamaha authorities " If you are the leading bike producers and developers in india and people like me suffer from not getting even the spare parts for your recently launched vehicle, how can u satisfy a customer or meet the expectations and capture the mind of persons like me??? "

i am not the only person facing this crisis. i have come to know about the same problem from my frnds too. let me tell you that you being the leading bike company, its a letdown from your side and these type of problems will definitely affect the goodwill of your company.

My R 15 bike bought at PERFECT RIDERS Yamaha in Bangalore was handed over to the same showroom's servicing center for a paint job on the tank.
I was made to run pillar to post for 1 month just to get my bike back.
When i received my bike, i was shocked to see the quality of work that they had done. They have painted without cleaning the tank and even the color does not match.
This is by no chance the quality that we expect from YAMAHA.
My new front wheel brake pads were stolen and replaced with worn out ones. Even the fuel was stolen from the bike.
When i asked the supervisor for an explanation regarding this, he was very rude and said this is all he can do and i can raise a complaint if i want.
Owning a YAMAHA has become a torture for me and i urge everyone to stop buying YAMAHA products as it is very clear that they are taking advantage of its customers.
I request the consumer forum to take action against this dealer for the inconvenience that they have caused.
Even though it is the dealers fault, i think YAMAHA is responsible for the dealer's actions.
Just selling something is not important, keeping the customers happy is only what will get them to buy more products. Hope all the companies understand this and stop taking us for granted.

                                    Hi,

I have purchased a Yamaha SZ-R a month ago and it was confirmed to me by the showroom at camp that company does provide with a Kick for the bike on request, after a week I booked the kick at service center and was informed that I would receive the kick within 10 days. So after 10 days when I inquire about it I was directed to a Factory shop which is at Wakdewadi, when I went there they informed me that company has not yet dedcided to manufacture a kick or not. So I was cheated. More on that after sales service is a joke for Yamaha.
I would request all my friends that not to buy any Yamaha products as they cheat on their customers. Such a same that Yamaha just for sales does not care about customer satisfaction.

I completely agree with what the above comments, we purchased these vehicles with so much of passion for them , we always buy Yamaha genuine spares when required , but what the company is doing now is very unprofessional. When they manufacture a bike and after the production is stopped ,they must continue to manufacture the spares for their customers. I completely agree Tausif Khan who has mentioned above that Yamaha India is forgetting that they are where they are today because o[censored]s Yamaha lovers.

                                        Dear sir,

I have applied for loan for yamaha fz16 and survey has been done by your members but i didnt get any kind of response from shivalaya autos (showroom for yamaha)Meerut.
They told me that you are not giving permission to shivalaya autos due to the bank statement given by me.but sir i would like to say that i have provided you my icici bank accnt atatement that is true and my salary is going to credit in this account from last three months , so , sir if i provide you my axis bank accnt. statement that is not helpful for you because that salary account is going to close within 1 month .so , sir kindly give the permission to shivalaya autos ,meerut to delivered the bike to me as soon as possible.

                                        thanks & regards
