Website: Brand new Ubislate 7C+ not working

Hi I have received barand new Ubislate 7C+ tab from Datawind on 18th Aug 2013. But the Tab is not working at all. When I switch the power button on, some image is showing but it's not progressing ahead for logging on. I have charged the Tab for more than 10hrs but when I remove the charger, the Tab gets switched off. Below are the details of my Tab.     I have booked/purchased a device UBISLATE 7C+(Edge) from DATAWIND LTD. via internet medium, which was delivered to me on 22nd July 2013 along with Invoice No. AMBD07200029 amounting to Rs. 4999/- + Rs. 200/- for Shipping (in all totalling Rs. 5,199/-) which is payable at the time of delivery, I’ve paid the said amount to the person who delivered the device to me. And after opening the parcel & after following the procedure prescribed in the Quick Start Guide comes with the Device, it is found that the device is not detecting Sim Card(s) & the device can only functions(Start) when the charger is plugged-in, but whilst removing (plugging-out) the charger the device stops functioning & the device is turned off.

    It is also pertinent to mention here that I reported the above problem at DATAWIND LTD. Technical Support Number[protected] also send them mail on the above mentioned email address on 23rd July, 2013, whereas some instructions were given to me which were performed by me, but same rest with no fruitful result, hence this complaint.

    In the aforementioned circumstances, I, hereby request you to register my complaint & if possible take penal action against such cheaters & replace the device UBISLATE 7C+(Edge) with booking ID PM868CAD9DBC, Invoice No. AMBD07200029 dated 20.07.2013 with the New device functioning properly or to direct them to refund my money immediately.

    I have already complainte regarding the same but did not find any resolution my COMPLAINT NO: 0005654/2013

      Today(17Aug13) i received Datawind Ubislate 7C+ tablet from Datawind Innovation Pvt Ltd.
      After starting the tablet i see that its display is cracked inside. After seeing bad display i called their customer number[protected] but their is no response from them, customer number is always busy.
      Please help me for resolving this issue.

      I have received faulty (Broken display) tablet (Ubislate 7C+) on 19th Aug 13. Then on same day i had raised issue on it. After 15 days they given me service center address from Pune to submit my tablet.
      On 3rd Sept 13, i submitted my tablet to Suraj Technology Pune and after that they said me tablet will be given back to me within 20 days.

      But till date i have not received my tablet. From last three months, Customer service from datawind always telling me tablet will be replaced within next week. Till date i am waiting for their next week.

      Till date i have wasted my money on call to Datawind (I think count will be more than 50) and on Petrol to rich Pune service center (Once in a week).

      So please give my money back, i don't want tablet from Datawind.

        I had made a payment of Rs. 2999/- in January 2012 as advance for ubislate 7 vide ref no. PMB67A7CCE. The original delivery date was March 2012. The date was extended several times and every time a standard reply was that it is under process. They have also provided false courier details to delay the process. In Nov 2012, offer was made for an upgraded version to be delivered in 10 days. I had accepted the offer in the hope that finally the product may be delivered vide ref no PMB7D0C86BAG. Most of the times there was no reply to the mails sent to them. After so much of delay and delivery no where to seen, I finally asked them to refund the amount and provided them the bank details for refund. It has been almost six months and the company has not been able to process the refund. Probably company is enjoying the benefits of interest free advances of so many persons and intentionally delaying to forfeit the advance itself.

          This is with reference to malfunctioning of my Ubislate 7C+ delivered on
          14th Aug'13.

          On the very first day of delivery, the battery was not charge

          With respect to my problem i have tried many times on your customer care
          no. but nobody pick up the phone.

          Kindly let me know address of your service center in ahmedabad or Tell me the
          process to replace the tablet or to rectify the issue.

          This device is not at all good.
          Customer care unit is not responding to calls and mails properly.
          No service centre all over, only one in Amritsar.
          service quality is too bad.
          i found too many problems in my device.

            I just bought Aakash tablet on 14th August 2013. Dated on Bill is 12th August 2013. But My Aakash UbiSlate 7C+(EDGE) its Touch is not working at all and my phone is in warranty so i want it to be functional or replaced. is there any Authorized Service Center in Mumbai so that i can have it done.

              I ordered for ubislate 7C+ edge. My order is paid online and confirmed on july 30. My order no. is PMD14DDB8C1E. I was said that my order will reach me within a week. I am checking my order status since the I got confirmation mail. The only status I am seeing since then is "Status of your Ubislate7Cpeg_kbc is Ready to Dispatch". Please send my order ASAP or cancel it and process for refund.

                I have received a Ubislate 7 C+ on the date of 4th of July 2013
                through online purchase. The cash payement of Rs. 5200 had been made to the
                JAVAS courier on the same day. The details of the Instrument are:
                Invoice no.: AMJAVS06290585
                Serial no. : UBISLATE 7C+.20121220
                Instrument is having the following defect:
                1. Sound speaker not working.
                2. Flow of current charging point.
                3. Cover of sim card and memory card is loose
                I have courier the instrument in its original box to their Amritsar office by Maruti Air courier Courier no.[protected] for rectification has reached to them on 15 july but till now i havn't got any revert.

                  I booked ubislate7c+ with leather cover on 02 august 2013. order id is PM6298353CD4. i paid full amount online. i received the confirmation mail on same day assuring me that the product will be delivered in 72 hrs.(reply is common). i received a phone from their customer care and the lady told me the product cannot be delivered at your location. i changed the delivery address. new address was of ghaziabad. later she assured me that i will receive my order in next 3 to 4 days. i checked my order status on datawind website. showing that the order is ready to dispatch. after 13 days i again checked my order status. but to my surprise no status is shown now. i am very frustrated with their customer care service. they don't pickup phones. they don't reply to emails. it is very difficult to trace the money and order. it seems that they are fraud. please help me.

                    My tab is did not provide service center

                    my name is mohamed irfan. I have send my tab to service center on 27/APR/2013,through the X PLUS COMMUNICATION at SALEM,TAMILNADU. My complaint number is DWIABZ[protected]WW.

                    Still now they did not responds me in call to know the status of the tab, always did not answer my call.

                    In warranty card they mentioned “the tab provide within one month”, but still now did not provide me the tab from service center.if i call a X PLUS COMMUNICATION at SALEM,TAMILNADU they said DATAWIND. KINDLY I WANT JUSTICE.

                      I had send my Ubislate7c+ IMEI No. [protected] on 24/07/2013 to Datawind Innovations Pvt. Ltd. 563 Dhan Dhan Baba Deep Singh Ji Complex, East Mohan Nagar, Amritsar-143001, for replacement as the device was a damaged product. I have been told previously that it would be returned to me within 15 days but I am not getting any information regarding the replacement still today which is almost 21 days. I had tried many times to contact them to their customer service number [protected] but they are not responding me. Pls help me to solve my problem, so that I would get my device replaced.

                      My ubislate C+ is not detecting any SIM card, (idea, BSNL, vodaphone, Airtel)I contacted in [protected], the gentleman told that this problem is not with the ubislate it’s a network problem with the concerned GSM provider. But these SIMs are correctly working in the mobile phones.

                      Once I forwarded this for service (battery backup problem) in Amritsar-143001 on[protected] and I received back on[protected]. After that poor wifi connectivity and is not detecting any SIM card. I really fed up with your product.

                      1) As a ISO 9001:2008 And 14001:2004 Certified company
                      2) On 22nd July, 2010 Shri Kapil Sibal had unveiled the device
                      3) November 11th, 2012 by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, the second version of Aakash
                      3) On November 28th, 2012 by UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon launched it at the United Nations in New York.
                      But, why this “very strong globally” tablet have not a single service center any anywhere in India?

                        I have ordered Ubislate 7C+ ( Akash 3) on 21/7/2013 based on their e mail & promise to dispatch tablet within 72 Hrs.I have paid thru my credit card but till date they have not delivered product.I have written Nos of e mail & made Phone call but they are not responding.The company is mis saling product using Govt of india name & it is fraud.They using consumer money for there own interest.I have asked to refund my money but No response I am getting.Some of mails are getting bounce due quata exceed in there mail box.i am sure lot consumer writing complain & even they are not bother to response to there mail.I am sure it is online fraud created by using govt of india name.

                        Pl help me to get my money back or product.my mails communication are attached here with..

                        Datawind — Not getting product ordered

                        I did not get my tablet which i ordered online on the Datawind site.They also sent me confirmation no of ordering product via mail.This is proof no. PMCE3F600C67
                        you get the device on priority if you send in advance payment. the number of orders is so large taht they are sorting out in preference of advance payment received

                          With reference to above, i have made a pre-payment and i was contacted through Telephone on 23.06.2012 for Confirming the Address for Delivery.
                          As per Pre-Booking Confirmation also, since i have made a Pre-Payment, a Confirmed Delivery by June End is Promised. Attached Please find the Copy of the same.

                            i just got my tablet on hand and on first day i when i start my tablet all screen goes whight….when i try to call on customer care number there are no one to recived to call…i wont get ny kind of information about service center or ny thing ….!!!!                             7ci late delivery and defective product even after repair.

                            1st issue
                            As per company offer brought 7ci tablet for Rs 3999 online in 1 st week of December 2012, though promised of delivery was by 2 weeks I received it only 1st week of January 2013 after lots of Follow up.
                            2nd Issue.
                            From day I received the product it was not working and was stuck at booting page. After discussing with customer I had to send back the tablet to Amritsar with Rs 320 spend from my pocket for DTDC courier.

                            3rd Issue :
                            There was no confirmation by Data wind of receipt of the defective product even though I courier company confirmed it was delivered. After lots of follow up through phone as no email was replied in this context I got to know I will get my product rectified or replaced by 15 days.

                            4 issue.
                            Again I received the defective product with same issue persisting 2nd week of Feb 2013 . Today I again complaint both through email and phone.

                            Going through all this I don't have any more energy and willingness any further follow up or spent a single penny in this.
                            I wanted to demand the price I paid as well as the courier charges amounts to 4319
                            This sort of company should not be at all allowed to sale things commercial , it's is complete incapability on the company end.

                              I purchased a UbiSlate7C+ on 21-Feb-2013, Invoice No. AMFEX02210218

                              My UbiSlate7C+ is not working at all.

                              It was sent to your Amritsar address on 1 June 2013 for repairs, insured courier at a cost of Rs. 572/-
                              received back on 25th June 2013. It worked for a couple of hours and then stopped working again.

                              Right from day one, it was heating up, so much so that it was difficult to hold in hand while using it for more than a few minutes.
                              The screen used to fad-out, the device will suddenly reboot itself, it will get locked in th initial "DataWind" logo, etc.

                              I have sent the following e-mail to techsupport <[protected]@datawind.com>, "Supportin(JK)" <[protected]@datawind.com>
                              on Aug 4, 2013, but there is no reply or phone response.

                              There seems to be basic hardware design problems with this Tablet.
                              On top of it, DataWind has no service center anywhere except Amritsar.
                              There phone based customer service is of no use, as most of the time they do
                              not pick up the phone.

                              I have read various complaints in this Forum and the replies from DataWind.
                              Their suggestion to contact their techservice is useless, as they do not help.
                              They even do not replay to e-mails.

                              I am totally disgusted with this device, and their manufacturer. I wonder what
                              will happen to millions of Akash Tablets, which GOI has decided to make available
                              to school children at low cost.

                              I would not recommend it to anyone for purchase, unless you have Rs. 5000/-
                              to be thrown away.

                              (I am a computer engineer, and know what I am talking about. I am too busy to
                              pursue this matter in a Consumer Court, otherwise I would have done so.)

                                i ordered for ubislate 7+ (order no PNDD9F8 against cheque HDFC 107284) in june 2012 and everytime i would call them they have been replying saying the tablet will be delivered next month and later they said were ready to offer you ubislate 7c and more months passed and now they are saying they are ready to offer ubislate 7c+ and everytime i call to ask to status of delivery they say u will receive the product within 15-20 days i am really pissed off with them. this is too much!

                                      its been one day(4/5/2013) since the Device(Ubislate 7C+) is been shipped .Initially The first day it took lot time to switch it on and i used device for one day with good condition next day i put the device under charge and when i woke this morning touch is not working so i was not able to shutdown so i kept for some time and when i restarted noting was working.I bought this device with lot of difficulty.To contact them and find solution it took 15 day to tell them send device to amrister .It has 45days from the day the have sent my device (22nd June, 2013.) to Datawind office .It has been informed that with in 20 days i will get the status but till now i did not get any status about my device the device id is IME[protected] .All my money goes waste when i sent email to [protected]@datawind.com it show your quota is over please let me know how to contact at the customer support . customer support is also not toll free.When i call them they say let me check and tell at last nothing they replay.Friends i brought this with lot of difficulty and even while sending device to repair i borrowed money and then i sent the device.At last i dont know what to do.Please help me friends all my money goes waste.Please reply for my sorrows......My Contact no is +91 [protected]

                                        i purchased ubislate 7c+ ,it was delivered to me 6 months back imei

                                        .unfortunatly i experianced different problems so i send that piece to amritsir
                                        office 3 times .they repaired and sent me back 2 times.third time i send that
                                        piece on apr 28-2013 by post ,they recieved on 2nd may in amritsir.but so far they
                                        didnt send me back.i called several times to call center ,they just replied you
                                        will get in one week it is under dispatch.im really having problem with that piece
                                        ,plz send me new one ,or refund my money,or i will seek legal action.
