Dear sir/mam,
This is to inform you that i (Owner) resident of flat no. 233, pkt-13, ph-1, manglapuri, dwarka, new delhi – 45 with installed water meter no. 2014a2035364 on 10.12.2016 by delhi jal board vide its receipt no. 12691 in exchange of existing old water meter. The k. N. O. Number is [protected].
That in july 2016 / january 2017 i found my water meter stolen due to no supply of water in taps. I have lodged a complaint to palam police station instantly. Thereafter no effective steps were taken by the concerned police.
That due to hefty/inaccurate bills without consumption recently on 01.03.2019 i installed isi marked kranti meter no. 100371 purchased through recognized shop vide receipt no. 2089. I am a regular water consumer of djb and paid last bill on 13.08.2019 vide receipt no.[protected] amount of rs. 19.120/-.
That submitting the application regarding installed above mentioned water meter along with requisites the 02 officers on the desk for receipt of application in room 127 denied to accept the same and also directed to contact ms. Sunita in room no. 123. Ms. Sunita declined to accept the application on the pretext with condition that the l&t is only authorized water meter installer and no other brand water meter is acceptable therefore threw the application in wind. Ms. Sunita also warned to undersigned that if i fail to deposit rs. 7200/- price of new water meter then i will continue receiving the hefty wrong water bill identical to earlier once. Ms. Sunita forced me to deposit 7200/- or else face the consequences. Ms. Sunita also affirmed that the meter reading will be hypothetical even if no water meter installed until new installation and reading in installed meter is void and will not consider while billing next. There has been no meter reading by any official since last one year and wrongly mentioned meter reading date as 29.06.2019 in bill. You are sending average bills.
That on 16.08.2019 i again visited the same office to submit the fresh application for water meter installation however, ms. Sunita along with mr. Devendra declined to accept the application despite the undersigned ready to submit the required amount of rs. 7200/- there and then wherein they demanded copy of fir which is lost due to over sightedness by me.
Hence, i bound to deposit amount of rs. 7200/- cost of new water meter installation to reduce fraud created as planned strategy by delhi jal board.
The true copy of receipt last bill paid is enclosed and details of current installed meter testing report & guarantee/warranty card, receipt is in safe custody of the undersigned. Under the circumstances, i request you to resolve the issue at the your earliest, so that may be correct reading of the meter and the correct water bills are prepared hereof.
The meter reading as on 10.08.2019 is 0006092 to be noted.
