I have purchased a dell led monitor model E1914H on Feb-2014 from a local dealer.In the last week the display showed horizontal black lines which is increasing in thickness day by day.When I informed the local dealer he gave me the dell toll free number to make a complaint and as it is under warranty a new monitor will be sent directly to me.When I contacted dell toll free number I was told that my monitor will be replaced only with a re-furbished monitor and not new one even though it is under warranty.When I demanded for a new monitor they insisted me to provide me the order number which is mentioned in the carton box.When I informed them they told me to contact their dealer who will replace the monitor with new monitor and the transaction for warranty will be accounted in the form of credit note with the dealer.When I contacted the dealer he is insisting on email confirmation from dell about replacement procedure.But I was told by the call attender that no mails will be sent from them.So on[protected] when I started recording the conversation which I can send to the dealer they hanged up the phone saying that they will contact me on[protected].But so far till now i.e.,[protected] I have received no calls from them.My complaint reference number is[protected] and my order no. is[protected].Please let me know the present status of my complaint?.How come a new product which has failed during the warranty period due to manufacturing defect can be replaced with a re-furbished monitor.Can u give 2 years replacement warranty for the re-furbished monitor from the date of receipt of the same?.Even this mail I am sending from friends system.My monitor display is getting worser day by day and I cannot work in my computer.Can dell compensate this loss and mental agony?

    It is difficult to spell the name of the offender. Could be Neel or Neil. But he keeps on changingnames and mobile numbers to his advantage. At some point of time he told me his name is Bijay. So I may not have clarity on his name. I am having a DELL make laptop Latitude D620. This laptop was originally purchased by my ex employer M/s TIL Limited having address at 1, Taratola Road, Kolkata. Large number of laptops were purchased by TIL Limited, mine being one of them. When I left the company, the laptop with service tag number 4JNCN1S was given to me at book value. In 2009, the laptop developed problem of overheating. I contacted Mr. Pritam, the person from my ex-employer who was instrumental for making the bulk purchase deal with DELL. He referred Mr. Neel or Neil Chakraborti to resolve the issue of overheating. At that time Mr. Chakraborti was attending all AMC issues at TIL Limited. Mr. Chakraborti came to my house at Lake Gardens and replaced the fan at a price. After sometime the laptop had a problem of not getting full screen picture. I reported this problem to him. He suggested that the mother board is defective and needs replacement. He changed the mother board on chargeable basis. I never doubted his integrity till then, although I was aware that Mr. Chakraborti is no longer maintaining TIL machines. Now my laptop is having a problem of 50% blackening of display screen. I am currently posted at Mumbai, Since I planned to go to Kolkata in end July 14, I contacted him with a request to replace the display unit at Kolkata. He took Rs 5400.00, out of which Rs 2400.00 was transferred by cash to the SBI bank account No [protected] of his wife Mrs. Sikha Rai Chakraborti based on his request and he was already having Rs 3000.00, which he took from me on loan 2 years before. All these conversation and correspondence took place over his mobile number [protected]. Now of course this mobile says that ‘the number does not exist. This means he is no more be contacted by the affected persons. He was aware that I come to Kolkata for a brief stay. When I contacted him after reaching Kolkata, he constantly evaded by switching –off his mobile or by saying that he is on his way but eventually did not turn up. I had sent a number of messages to his mobile and Whats App. Nothing worked. Eventually I had to come back to Mumbai without getting my laptop rectified. Probably he was waiting for my departure from Kolkata.. Thus it is clear that he has the typical quality of getting friendly with people and uses it with the sole motive of cheating him and making some money out of this poor customer. So I am making a request to deweed such offenders from DELL list as it is spoiling your reputation as well as relation between DELL and customers. This is the only way to punish such offenders. Mr. Chakraborti seems to be in the habit of continuously changing his mobile number and he has lot of stories around it. He loses his mobile too often to avoid sensitive calls. Last 2 months I was in touch with his mobile number [protected] but today it says that the number does not exist. His earlier number was [protected]. People with malafide intention does this, because, whosoever is the service provider today, advanced technology allows portability of the same number once all past payments are cleared. Who knows that in order to avoid payments he is hoodwinking service providers also for which he changes his number time and again. In all, this man is full of suspect and so once again I would request you to disconnect Mr. Chakraborti in all possible manners and teach him a lesson. Hope to have given you enough clues for investigating the case and getting hold of this person moving around in various disguise fraudulently to misguide and agonise DELL customers.

        Hi, I'm Anil and working with Infosys Technologies, Trivandrum. I have a Dell Studio 1555 which is out of warranty(Service tag HCMH3BS EXPRESS SERVICE CODE [protected]). It showed a problem- "getting off frequently while working as power code plugged in"(but was working fine with charged battery). I had given my laptop for service at the below Dell authorized service centre one month back. "Dell Partner for Servers & Spares, M/s WiFi Solutions F 14 1st Floor, Technomall, Technopark, Trivandrum, Kerala. Contact: [protected]" After so many phone calls I got communicated that the laptop has been sent to Kochi to Dell service store. After 2-3 weeks, when I checked I got the response like, the motherboard needs to replaced and it costs around Rs.13000/-. I was not interested in spending that much amount and agreed to return the laptop to me without any repair. When I went to collect the laptop, I asked him if any expenditure has occurred to him and he said no and I took my laptop back. But after reaching home, when I checked, I could see that the system is not at all booting up.The blank screen is showing always and sometimes it is blinking I reported this to the service centre person, but no action has been taken yet. He admitted that the laptop was in working condition(with charged battery) when it was received by him, but not booting up now. It was not at all communicated to me once I took the laptop back. Me and my friends are long time DELL customers and I expect a decent solution for this. I need to get my laptop at least in the condition that I gave to service. PS: I don't have a bill/service voucher with me as I have not given the laptop direct to the person. The logs of all calls made with him are the only proof available with me.           Main Balance of Rs.43 is wrongly deducted towards data. Balance is been deducted on August 14th Night, but I still have balance while I checked on 15th August Noon.             HI I cant proceed for the ownership transfer to get repaired of my dell laptop express no [protected] purchased from in india in October 2013 to Papua new guinea (current location of laptop), as my laptop is giving me problems, i got in bajaj loan, which i have a certification of fully paid up of the said loan amount, i tired but the message is my express number doesn't match with dell company.

              This is my service request no.[protected]. Name: Shilpi Bhargava, Lodged complaint on 28th july, its been 14 aug now, they have not yet replaced the lcd yet, and everytime giving me new stories about parts, Point of contact is this person : [protected]@dell.com. Story: I want a justification on following points.:1. When i was promised on 12th aug, that the lcd is going to be replaced by touch screen, where is that touch screen gone. simply means you are fooling me. 2. Why had you told me at first place that on 6th service is going to be completed, then you told me 11th, i dint uttered a word but now its enough.3, i dont understand even if you have to provide me new system, why is has to be at a week's length, when you have to sale it just arrives in 2-3 days. 4. If you know it is taking so long, why dont you give me a substitute laptop, so that at least i can work, i am a student, and i have to be answerable to professors, and many other people. I am sorry to say but dell's image of best service is completely shattered and m never ever going to recommend to anybody to buy a dell product, its more than enough.

                Dell Latitude 3540 NT/ 8GB/1 TB was purchased vide invoice no CISPLM/0376/13-14 ON 31.10.2013 FROM M/S CYGNUS INFORMATION SOLUTIONS PVT LTD.ANDHERI MUMBAI. Tag no 6CT5QY1 when switched on laptop message displayed at screen "Battery damage, require replacement" Battery is under warranty. Many a times complaints was tried to register at Dell customer care no [protected]/[protected]/[protected] but misguided.Part is under warranty but no cognizance is shown by M/s Dell.                   I requested for few part for my Alienware m14x laptop for which i was asked to pay 5000/- upfront. After making this payment on 25th June 2014, I waited for a week but on not getting update mailed Dell Support again and got to know they got the money but didn't ignored the request. After one more week i got a call that the parts i requested will not solve my problem and i need to pay 11, 000/- more to which I requested refund. After waiting one more week, I requested update on refund and was told that I may not have been informed but it takes 30 days to process such requests. On looking at the case history, I was sent a mail on 7th July 2014 that it'll be settled within 20 days. I have sent 4 mails since then and didn't get reply to even of them. I called them also on 27th July, 28th July, 4th Aug and today on 14th Aug 2014 and every time i'm told that it'll be settled quickly. Even under normal circumstances it should have been settled within 30 days, but despite a written promise of 20 days I'm still waiting for the refund after 50 days with no clue where its stuck. People involved: 1. Snehal Ajani 2. Shreyas Master 3. Deepak Gupta 4. Rest all didn't share their names... Worst service experience.

                    My newely bought(21/07/2014) Dell inspiron 15 3537 core i3 laptop is not working properly with windows 8.1pro.System performence is very slow & display drivers for amd allways crashing.laptop not shutting down.i am force closing the laptop each time.                       Hi, I purchased a Dell Inspiron 15 5547 Laptop on the 25th of July for my company for an engineer on a critical path of project delivery. Within 1 week o[censored]sage on the 6th of August, the laptop failed to boot up and we lodged a complaint. Your service side called up and concluded that the mother board had failed. When we enquired the turn around time for the repair, it was mentioned that it is 3 working days. However, to this day (7th working day), we are repeatedly told that there is no parts availability. Even a call to the manager proved useless as no one had any visibility on the availability time despite assurance from your service team this has been escalated as I made noise that the laptop has been shipped with a faulty part!! We find this completely unacceptable as the engineer has to now share computer resources which is creating a bottle neck. What is frustrating and unacceptable is that there is no visibility on when this could get resolved. Adding insult to injury, the service manager colly asked if we want the machine to be replaced and which would take 24 working days!!                         Dear Sir, Myself Manas Khatua, Computer Engineer, IIT Kharagpur. Please read the "story" about my experience with Dell Laptop. After reading the full story, probably you would agree with me. I purchased a dell Laptop; model no- Inspiron 15” 3521, in November, 2013. After 2-3 months, I observed that the system is not functioning well. I could not run multiple processes at a time. Initially, I thought that the problems are due to the software that I have installed. I reinstall (3-4 times) all the software including Windows. Still the problems persist and day by day the system performance deteriorates. Finally, the Laptop starts malfunctioning. For example, few keys stop working. Sometimes Touchpad hangs. Suddenly the system restarts. Booting process take 5-6 minutes. Therefore, I lodged two complains - Hard disk is not good, and keyboard is not working. Now the interesting event occurs. The next day, customer care representative called me and told to run few system diagnostic functions. Accordingly, I executed all test, but the system does not show any error message. I informed the same, and, in response of that, she told me that it is not the problem of Hardware. So, Dell could not do anything. I repeatedly told her that, according to my understanding, the problems occur due to Hard disk, keyboard and Touchpad. After a long controversy, she suggested me to reinstall the operating system. Accordingly, I started installing Windows 7. Now, the new story begins. The system was not able to detect the hard disk for installing Windows. Again, I informed the scenario -- at present my system is completely out of order. Finally, she accepted my complain. However, according to her, the problems were due to Hard disk and Mother Board, but not the Keyboard and Touchpad. Accordingly, she gave a requisition for replacing the Hard disk and Mother board, after checking the system by a local representative at on-site, as my warrant period is not over yet. After few days, the representative came to my office, at IIT Kharagpur, and started replacing the Hard disk and Mother board. After replacing the Mother board he informed me that the “NEWLY BROUGHT MOTHER BOARD IS MORE CORRPTED” than the existing one. Therefore, he replaced only the Hard disk, and, then, starts installing OS. At that time, he observed that my complain was right. The Keyboard and Touchpad are not functioning properly. He informed the same to the customer care, and, consequently, he issued a replacement request for those parts. Yesterday, the representative came with new Keyboard and Touchpad. He has replaced those parts. Then he checks that the keys, which were not working previously, are now working. Therefore, I sign his register, and he left. After 10-15 minutes, I observed that another key on the Keyboard is not working. Again I called him. He came back to recheck the system. After checking all keys, he told me that “NEWLY BROUGHT KEYBOARD IS ALSO CORRUPTED”. In the meantime, he has closed the issue from their side over phone. Therefore, he requested me to raise a new complain for REPLACING THE KEYBOARD AGAIN. Accordingly, I have lodged anther complain for Keyboard. Then I started working with Laptop using only the working keys and Touchpad. When I started installing all the required device drivers I found that WiFi is not working. The system is not allowing reinstalling WiFi drivers too. I have checked with my friends. They have also tried, but failed. Finally, all of them told me that WiFi hardware has been corrupted. I again lodge a complain to CHECK and REPLACE THE WIFI hardware. I don’t know the remaining story as the process is ongoing. I will definitely inform you the updates. NOW, you decide what kind of quality product DELL is providing at present. Probably, they have changed their business tactics. If anyhow the warranty expires before starting such kind of malfunctioning, they would get double benefit (first time for selling semi-good product, and second time for replacing the parts). What an idea!

                          Sir, This is inform you that I own a Dell Inspiron 5521 laptop (Windows 8 pre-installed). The laptop had an accident on 25th-Jun-2014. According to the Company's policy they changed all the damaged products free of cost as it was in warranty period. They (service centre, Chetpet) delivered my laptop on 16th-Jul-2014. Along with the laptop they gave me a Windows 8 operating system product key as they replaced the damaged motherborad also, but they did not give me any Operating System Disc that I can use in future. When I ask them to give it to me then they gave me a wrong information that Dell Tech Support will parcel it to you through courier. Now I have the product key of Windows 8 Operating System Product Key which is useless without the Disc. Both dell Tech Support as well as the Service Centre has refused me to give any type of Disc. Kindly look into the matter and do something, I'll be really grateful to you.

                              I had ordered an out-of-warranty replacement of some parts of my Dell Inspiron N5010 laptop on 11th July 2014, whose expected delivery date was 30th July 2014 (see attachment), but the service hasn't been done till now. Additionally, the service departments are harassing me in the following ways (my laptop is DEAD for over the past one month): 1. I had paid them INR 11, 000 (receipt attached), but have not received any order confirmation e-mail with my "Order ID" till now, even after asking them repeatedly. Thus, they are deliberately preventing me to track my order online. I only have the following "tracking number" with me, which can't fetch me any useful information online: <<#[protected]#>> 2. Since the last few weeks, they have been giving (mostly) FALSE status updates to the effect that my mobile number is unreachable / unresponsive. However, they are not providing me with any call-back number or e-mail soliciting the information they want from me. 3. On 8th August, at 11:21 AM some "Mr. Harish" called me from Dell (+91 [protected]) and promised me that his technician will be at my premises at 11 AM on 9th August and the servicing will be done "at any cost". As expected, that has not happened and neither have I received any call from him or his technician. I have tried to contact Mr. Harish by phone and SMS countless times without any response. I have received many such false "promises" over the past few weeks, but none so far directly from the service technician's supervisor. Moreover, I had repeatedly asked them to complete the servicing within the time-frame of 28th July to 8th August (and they had agreed upon this while accepting the order, as I had no residence address in Bangalore at the time of placing the order), since the address I had provided is my company-provided guest house address which I have had to vacate on 9th August as per company policies. But this, again has turned out to be another of their false commitments. Kindly instruct the concerned service personnel to immediately contact me and carry out the servicing at my present residential address.

                                    I am an electronics engineer and working as a Software Developer. I have purchased the Dell Inspiron laptop 15z-5523 on 24 March 2013 online through compuindia.com (Dell Express Ship Affiliate Store) and I got it on 27 march 2013. I have faced the problem in May 2013. Its exhaust fan was doing noise as well as laptop was overheating then shut down. I contacted to support team. They asked me some questions and told me the reason about this issue is that summer is going on that's why atmosphere temperature is much that's why you are facing the heating issue. About exhaust fan noise its due to small dust particle. Then they told me to do diagnosis and they found an error. So they told me they are going to change the exhaust fan and thermistor. After replacing you run it and if you face any problem again we will think about to change the motherboard. Then they place an order for hardware to replace and next day their one engineer come to my home and replaced the parts. (But I didn't get any call from them does my issue is resolved or not) Again in Oct 2013 Month I am facing the same issue of overheating and some other issue. So I contacted them again and told them my laptop is heating again. As well as I getting 2 error & SD Card Slot is not working (Which I never tested after buying). They ask me does my charger also heating I said yes. About 2 error they done some changes and its fixed. Then they place an order for replacing the parts and again the another engineer come to my home and replaced the thermistor, Charger. (This time also I didn't get any call from them does my issue is resolved or not) Again I get the same 2 error in next 2-3 months. In February 2014 heating issue and then shut down is started as well as charger is heating. But I am very busy in some Software Projects and some other developers is working under me from Remote Location. So I don't have time to call to support team and told the same issue as well as summer is started. So I ignored the issue that time. But again from May 2014 Month my laptop is shutting down and showing blue screen with Different Error. This is happening many times. So I thought that its due to virus (But I never connect any external USB of anyone to my laptop as well as I have antivirus and I never download anything without trusting on that site.) But again I don't have time to format the LAPTOP as some VERY URGENT Software Projects are going on as well as some more developer is working under me. So again I ignored. Then in July 2014 month I get the time to Format Laptop and I formatted. After formatting I thought that my all issue will resolve But its not. Then i checked all about that error on internet and they suggest that do the format and if still that error is not gone then may be your RAM has an issue, replace it. The 2 error which i am getting before some one told that its due to HDD, replace it. Meantime in June 2-3 times i saw that battery indicator LED is blinking but i thought that it may have an issue in LED and not noticed much more. But now when i checked its blinking LED issue on internet some one told that battery is dead. Replace it. So I contacted them and told all this things and they told me warranty is over and I have not contacted in warranty period. But I said that this issue was happening in warranty period and you not replaced the correct part and now so many other part is failing. They saying same things warranty is over. They answered to my some question and I am not agree with them So I recheck all the things what ever they answered. - Battery warranty is 1 year. But on there site they are saying that it will work minimum 18 months and maximum 24 Months. And my battery is dead in 13 months. - They claiming that they call me after parts are replaced to check my issue is resolved or not. But I never get any call back after parts are replaced. - In Laptop specification manual they said that Laptop battery will work 6 hours. But its not worked more than 3.5 hours for me until now (I am not using Graphics card or not playing any audio or not playing any video. Just 2-3 word document is opened) - They replaced the same part twice and still I face the issue of heating third time (Its a common sense if you replace any hardware part and its still not resolving the issue and face the same problem after 3 months means you have to change some thing different. But they don't) - If the error which they fixed before if they check it clearly why its happen and replace HDD that time then its not giving me issue at now. - If I contact them earlier they will replace the part but now i have to pay for all this part. But i said how many times should contact them and how many time they will replace my part. In warranty period they replace same part twice but its not resolved the issue and if call them in warranty period third time they will replace it freely but if its fail again when warranty is over i have to pay. So no Quality parts they replaced. If I pay for 70, 000 for a good quality product and good brand I should get good product. But now most of the hardware parts are failed (and may be it will keep going) Then I said them are you giving any guarantee if I replace the parts from you will resolve my issue. Then they said do it from local then. So they don't care about this. They got 70000 for product, replace the part and done. Now if I am facing any problem I have to pay the amount to them and if not do it from them I have to do it from Local (this is what they saying). If I am paying 70000 means i think that I will get good branded product which will help to grow my business. But I got faulty product then why should i pay the amount to them. Instead of growing business I loose some money due to delay of projects, penalty. I told them that i want the replacement of this complete Laptop as most of the parts are not replaced correctly, not quality parts and now other parts are failing and they are saying NO.                                         i have bought dell venue 7 tablet in march, 2014 but its touch screen got shattered in its warranty period given by this company but from last 2months i have been contacting their customer care & service center but they were saying parts not available for this product and now their service center person says that they can't repair it & u should buy another one.so pls help what can i do.
