Respected Sir,
I am doing my final year M.E in Computer Science and Engineering in R.V.S College of Engineering Dindigul. Last Friday (01-April-2011), me with my friend who too studying with me went to the college to submit our final year project report and returned from the college at 3:00 PM. I reached madurai mattuthavani bus stand at 5:40 PM and got a Nagercoil bus to reach my home town. Bus is supposed to departure at around 6 pm from madurai. Me and my friend got a seat and we both were sitting in the bus. Unfortunately after 2 minute my laptop bag was missing. The bag contains a net cash of amount Rs.6000. I asked the persons in the bus about my bag. They informed that one boy around 19 years old had took a bag and ran away. Me and my firend went to the Police Out Post to complaint about this. But the police men (Sub Inspector) said it is your thing you have to keep it safely. Because of you people the theft has been increasing, just go to the station in the city and give a complaint. You cant complaint here. It is not our duty to get your complaint. This was his reply. Since me and my friend dont have much idea about madurai city and with fear we came back to our home town. I kindly request you to please find my laptop and hand over it to me. I have lot of datas including my M.E final year project and reports in the laptop. I will be very thankful if you do this needful. Thanking You.

Dell xps laptop — my complaints of the product are not solved by company

i have purchased a dell xps laptop model no. L501X from dell company, at the time of delivery, there is a dent at the LCD back cover as visible in the photograph i have attached.. i have registered the complaint within 4 days of delivery, and continiosly registering till now, as now it has completed 6 complete months me with the note book.. but till today it has'not been repaired or changed,, even the product has a gaurentee of 12 months, and also according to the policy of dell company they have taken some extra money as a fees of complete accidental cover under which if the product is fully damaged they will repair it without any cost, other than company garuntee i also own this accidental cover but the company is not solving my problem..
please help me with a proper way.....!!! i have paid the full amount they have asked me to pay.. then why shoul i sacrifice whith my product

    Myself, Sanjib Kumar, being one of the registered business partner of Dell India Pvt. Ltd. booked few desktop computers in the last month and accordingly as per deal all the payments have been done through NEFT in advance on 18.03.2011, but very sorry to that till date and time I have received only two consignments and other order status are still showing work-in-progrss.
    At the same time one more issue, one of the Dell Inside India Sales Manager (Keerthi Sharma) has confirmed two orders for high-end laptop and when I have reached in bank to remitt the entire payment in advance as per rule through NEFT, the sames manager started telling "Sir, plz don't make payment, as the models have been withdrawn by Dell India Pvt. Ltd. just now". Is it justified ???
    I strongly oppose this. Now I need both the laptops with the same configuration as per quotation provided by the sales manager (Keerthi Sharma).

Bangalore and Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu have failed their committments and they must be penalised...hope all the customers of thsi company will agree with me...Any company should delivery their goods before estimated date...thats the company policy...in the competetive market...otherwise will stand for few days in this amazing world of comepetative market...am I right or wrong ????

        sir below u see the pic of my lappy's ac adaptor which is not working frm the past 4 days....i have complained to dell tech support regarding this wid the complain no. 6809531 and they asked me to send the picture of the charger....i send it the same day but there was no response from their side...the next day i called again n daere was another guy who too asked me to send the picture....i send it again n till dere was no response being impatient i called againand to my badluck there was again another one to whom i send the picture.....on the 4th day they informed me dat it is a damage and they are not goin to replace it as i dont have a complete cover warranty.
        on seeing the picture u will observe dat a little part of the black coating is removed on dat side of the adaptor which connects it to the laptop but is from very long time and because of dat there must not be any problem wid its workin....even d led of the adaptor is not glowing which has nothing to do wid dat removed coating....means dat there is certainly some hardware failure which comes under ther NBD warranty....but disvery small thing dere are not getting....even i asked them to arrange someone to have a survey of the adaptor and decide on dat basis....bt dey are not listening....even the senior in the dell tech support who took dis decision is not willing to talk to me regarding dis

            This is very unfortunate that i decided to buy a Dell inspiriion 15R laptop just because fast delivery and great customer satisfaction with fast assistance.
            but what i got..i got nothing from there.
            my laptop delivered after 1 month that is not told by dell...n after that i got wrong bag pack and 2 items are missing in my order.
            I paid all money but got nothing its headache for me.now...now its about 2 months after order but i did not get my missing items and bag pack.
            and there is no responsible person there to answer...they just had one answer that we are doing our best.thats not the way to doing things.

            I DID BIG MISTAKE TO PURCHASE A DELL LAPTOP.

                  The Laptop which I purchased from DELL, in the month of August 2010, has been faulty. I have contacted Dell Technical support regarding the issue of System shut down & restarting. They have neither recorded the complain nor have they solved the problem. Now when my daddy who is a editor of a news paper has asked them repeatedly for a whole syatem replace ment Dell technical department& the Escallations department have been very rude & unruly with my daddy who is elderly. No justice has been made for the money which we have paid for the laptop.Please help me get a replacement of the whole unit laptop as there has been n- number of problems. Several issues of the laptop which is supposed to be a new unit ,of which I have records. I want justice for the money spent on the laptop.

                  I have purchase brand new Dell Insprion Mini 10.1 laptop in June 2009. The company claims to provide next day service in metro. Now My laptop is not turning ON. I logged the complaint with Dell toll free & also mailed them the problem. But since last 8 days I didnot get any reply from dell. When I try to use the chat with technical service it shows that there representatives alwasy busy. I suspect that this service doesnot ever exist. I only get one reply that to not complete that some part of your laptop is faulty & is being imported from singapore & it may take 14 to 18 days. SO what's use of warranty. I am now demading dell for complete replacment of this faulty piece with new one. But I am not able to find proper person to talk with. Can You help me in this case? I feel being cheated by Dell now.
                  Even I have bought a brand new dell laptop and the same problem has ocurrred to me...my laptop doesnt start.
                  When I called them up they said it will take 1-2 working days to for the technical support. Now they say it will take 1 week.. thats [censored]ing ridiculous.

                  Sub: - Problems related to Laptops of Model Latitude D830, Purchased from you.

                  Dear Sir,
                  The executives of SJVN Limited purchased Dell Make laptops from you in the month of June 2008. As you know that at Jhakri station only, the no. of laptops purchased of the model no. Latitude D830 is 70 to 80 approx.
                  It is to inform that 90 % of the laptops purchased from you are facing problems of different kind. The problems being faced are as under:-
                  1. Unexpected shutdown followed by blue screen. The problem is very frequent.
                  2. RAM Problems, RAM of two to three persons has been replaced by dell representative.
                  3. Hard Disc Problems, Hard Disc of 3 to 4 persons changed.
                  4. Keypad Problems, the keys of the keypads almost of 50% laptops are reporting the problem.
                  5. The AC Adaptor, the adaptors of 7 to 10 people has been replaced.
                  6. Battery getting dead just within one or two months from the date of expiry of warranty period without giving any indication like short backup.
                  In addition to above mentioned problems, few other problems are also noticed e.g. three to four pixels of the screen are missing out, slow performance even with 4GB RAM. The list of the employees who has purchased your laptops and problems faced by them is attached herewith for your kind reference.
                  It is to inform that, in SJVN Limited Laptops are purchased on four year basis and the quantity is increasing day by day as the no. of employees is increasing. We had purchased the dell laptops instead of other reputed makes available in the market only because of the after sale services of dell and we have no doubt regarding the after sale services. The services are good but the problem faced by the users of laptops at Jhakri has raised questions on the quality of the laptops supplied by the dell.
                  Further, the laptops supplied by you are covered for three years warranty and nowhere it is written that warranty is exclusive of battery.

                  Due to above reasons you are requested to look into the matter, have suitable discussion with the dell and replace the faulty parts / laptops at the earliest in order to have good relation in future. Failing with suitable action as deemed fit as per the consumer norms shall be taken against you as well as dell.
                  Looking for a good and healthy response and relationship from your end please.

                  DELL INDIA — faulty laptops

                  i purchased dell xps 1330 laptop for 78000 from dell India. it worked fine for 1 year till the warranty was active.
                  After my warranty expired it started giving heating problem it automatically shuts after 1 1/2 use. they asked me to pay 17000 rs. for renewing warranty and replacement parts. they had changed motherboard and heat sink 4 times but the problem is not solved. It Seems that these americans are dumping old and defective goods in India. pz. help me out
                  My Laptop is not booting and when I reach Dell Service for resolving the issue, they suggested me to contact for Dell Onsite Service. No justice has been made for the money which we have paid for the laptop. I want justice for the money spent on the laptop.
                  KInd attention Mr. Nitish: With reference to the above, as soon as your supervisor Mr. Mandeep amd Mr. Mukesh spoke to me, regarding giving it for service, i have given it to the recommended service centre immediately. They have called me and informed that the mother Board is damaged, after which i had sent a mail back to u, regarding the same. Again the same two people called me, and said that the mother board only would be repaired, to which i had asked for a replacement of the system, as from day one the system has a problem. It has not worked for even a day. I had made a call to you a few months back and had clearly mentioned the problems as mentioned below at that point, after which i got a call back from your technical people for online support. That time, itself i insisted, that it was a hardware problem, but they said, do the software corrections and things should be ok. But nothing happened. Every person who knows something about a computer, will know, that a shock from a system, or the system not getting on, or none of the softwares working, or the system going off on sleep mode, just after it decides to get on, and not coming back, are all not software issues. Why would anyone pay Rs. 60000/- and keep a system which has been damaged from day one. why would i accept a replacement of mother board only. My daughter who is a student of architecture, has a lot of work to be done on the system, but even after spending more than 1/2 a lakh of rupees, she has been suffering and not been able to do justice to her course and has been depending on others for her work. You very easily said you have closed the case, when i am asking for a replacement. You still have not been able to address, why there is current passing through and we are getting a shock on touching the system. Would you take up the responsibility, if the systems blows up, or if there is any physical damage to any human or otherwise. Awaiting a favourable response from your side to avoid any unpleasantness.                   The above is a mail sent to dell after recieving a mail from them. MY laptop has not worked from the word go and now they say they will only replace the Mother board and not replace the system as requested by me. I want to know, y i should get a repaired system for 60000Rs. I could have might as well bought an used system for less than 1/4 of the price.

                      I have been using dell inspiron 1525, recently i am facing problems with my laptop.
                      Actually i was using this laptop in england and there my charging pin has been spoiled,then i replaced that charging pin in india,i was well able to work on my laptop for few days in india,but with in few days i was back in england.
                      when i have to work with my laptop, to my shocking i was unable to atleast switch on my laptop.
                      I don't know what's going wrong with my laptop.
                      I hope that you'll sugest me with a good solution for my problem.

                        DELL — XCD 28 - Pathetic After Sales Support

                        Hi,

                        I bought a DELL XCD 28 mobile phone (Pune, Biil# 10017308, IMEI # [protected] Service Tag: 2L1ZVN1) against advice of my friends and well wishers who had warned me about inferior quality of the newly launched phone as well as pathetic after-sale support. Now few months down the line, I see each of those warnings coming true!!

                        The touch screen of the phone was damaged after which I visited service center at Pune (Feroz). 4 days time was committed to replace the handset. It is almost a month now and every time I call on the committed date, the standard reply is that they did not get the handset from Bangalore so it will come in next 4 days.

                        I just browsed through the blogs/articles/complaints on net and found that I am just one of the many customers who have been victim of pathetic product with even more pathetic after sale customer support.

                        hi i purchased Dell xcd 28 handset through home shop 18. on march 2011 after one month touch screen problem. i given to service center its 200km for from my home town they taken 45days to repair my hand set. with in a week same problem i face again i traveled to Hubli for service all ready 15days gone still my hand set under service so please please dont purchase through online they cheating innocent people selling worst products
                        I bought dell XCD28 one year back and after 4/5 months the battery backup was an issue tried contacting dell service center wrote email but didnt get any response, recently the touchpade also stopped working. tried to get it repaired but everywhere getting the reply that spares are not available.
                        I feel the quality of product is below standard, services are far far below the reputation of Dell and it appears to me that the decision to buy dell was wrong decision. Sandeep Pandey
                        I have purchased one dell mobile phone model XCD 28 from M/S.Flipkart.com crescent#148, 2ed floor, next to Gopalan Mall, Mysore Road, Bangalore, Karnataka India 560026 Phone :[protected]. for Rs.7, 749/- On date 20/03/2011 invoice no 1241819 with imei no.[protected] and with warranty for one year from the date of purchase.

                        Whenever receiving the calls the instrument was getting automatically switched off due to technical defects in the said instrument. The said new instrument is of no use, as it is found having technical defect like the instrument was automatically getting switched off and unable to receive any the incoming calls as the connection automatically gets cut off .

                        I have purchased the mobile set with the hope of getting the benefit out of it without any trouble. But after 3 months it is not functioning properly and even today it has become a useless set.

                        Dell service center had kept the mobile set for 30 days and replaced the mobile phone back after getting the same rectified with different imei no. Thereafter I used the mobile set for about 10 days but again same fault developed . I have approached dell service center pune mr.Firoz mob.[protected] and requested him to change the mobile set once again . Dell service center again took the phone from the me and assured me that they will get the phone changed . Dell service center kept the mobile for about 35 days for the second time and after repeated requests and visits, the mobile was replaced with different imei no.The mobile set worked for 1 day and the same Restarted mobile whenever received & dialed called problem occurred for third time. And again I have lodged my mobile with dell service center to rectify the persisting problem and replaced handset for long delay with different imei no. After 3 days, the mobile is Restarted & hanging with dell logo . I became irate and gave the mobile to the authorized service center pune mr.Firoz mob.[protected] They told me you can replaced handset what is this? Already So many times I have replacement . I am not sure when they will replace with another piece. And my warranty is going to expire on 20/03/2012. And no outsider is ready to take this for second sale, so if the same problem persists after this date, no other option except to use it as paper weight or to through it in dust bin.

                        Kindly I am requesting to you resolved my issue for swapping from XCD28 to XCD35 rather than money back.

                        This sort of an act on the part of the dell definitely amounts to deficiency in service.

                        By the act of the dell service center, the I felt mental agony, harassment, hardship and pain and therefore I requested you to allow dell company to pay compensation of reasonable amount for such a big company for deceiving the customer who blindly purchased because of the good trust in the company and its products and considering the facts reported.

                          I Booked a DELL Laptop Online on 28 Feb 2011. Estimated Delivery date is 12 days from booking. Today is 16th of March , till now their website says work in progress??
                          Also their customer care is not bothered about this. Extremely slack people. Bitter experience buying from DELL.

                              Sir,my self working as a SDE in state owned BSNL and my present posting is at Cuttack(orissa).BSNL had procured 10G Eqpt(ZTE make) from loss running ITI company.along with that,The said company had supplied one DELL laptop in the year of 2008.within a year thae power adapter of that laptop was out of order.I had complained alot before the ITI heda(Mr.Sultan) but all in vein.and I purchased one Adapter frm the market and it start to run.Then after six month,the monitor of the said laptop was out of order.I tried to complain to the ITI,but no body was replied positively.that's why I complled to go through the consumer forum.laptop is badly essential to check the status of the 10G route.

                                I ordered a dell laptop way back in January, and today is the day it got delivered two whole months after I ordered it. Plus the time when dell was working on my order they ran short of parts as my configuration for the laptop had an i5 in it. They did not intimate me about the situation and kept dragging the delivery date on and on.
                                Then one fine day I called up dell to inquire about the delay and then they told me only then that we are out of parts and so we can not ship your configuration, well then I said either refund my money or if you have any other way we can talk it out. The sales guy told me that we will bump you up to an i7 as that is in stock for no extra money, so I agreed and he sent me a new quotation which totaled to my old quotation, since I had already paid for my laptop and I wasn't gonna pay a dime more to these cheating rascals.
                                I confirmed my order and I was waiting and waiting for a month or so then I called up dell and literally blew a fuse and shouted at them, they would always say that we will get back to you by the end of business day blah blah blah!!!!!!. I even wrote an e-mail to my sales guys manager and she replied back not to soon after three odd days that please refrain from mailing us as your laptop us under the EPP(Employee Purchase Program) and as per company policy we can not correspond with the end customer. Hey, its my money you've got you inconsiderate imbeciles.
                                Today my laptop got delivered and surprise it has a core i5 now I don't mean to go all cheapskate on dell and demand an i7, but I believe that I should have been compensated for the delay and the harassment that I went through.

                                Please people dont go for dell. This will be my first and last laptop from dell ever. I dont want to be associated to a fraudulent company for my IT needs, I'm more than happy to take my business elsewhere.
                                Mine was an XPS-15 laptop now they have been phased out.

                                NEVER GO FOR DELL STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

                                  Good Morning. i purchase my dell laptop at al ain centre LUCKY STAR COMPUTERS in dubai.i use near 4months i uae, after that i get vacation 2months gone india.
                                  When came back to uae i forget to take my dell acceriess support cd and laptop bill.
                                  Past one month i had problem this laptop sometimes its was hang and some programe missing and i cannot able to use webcam.its requeried resoures cd and system was slow.
                                  I want rectify my problem but i don't have cd and bill. its still under warenty preoid. i was purchase in july or augest 2010. i want re programe Fully hardware and software like before when i purchase.
                                  Can you able to slove my problem.

                                    I purcahsed a new dell battery from Dell, and when asked the executive to tell me how to dispose my old Battery , they just said me that u can throw in Garbage and it will not cause any harm to environment.

                                    since BAttery has to be disposed of properly , we all know that..

                                    That means if they do not Know the Dell Customer Excecutives say what they have in their mind..
                                    That means they are so clever in making people strayed.
                                    Bleddy Stupids are working in DELL Support and Dell management too.
                                    I had register a complaint about my Dell Monitor and they delivered an old one and it is not working too. Now those Executives Disconnecting purposefully when reach them after a long time(almost 12mins)they ask me Complaint number and Executive will inform us "Wait for 2 mins" mins will go after 10 to 15mins they will disconnect the call

                                      inspiron 15r DOS, 512 graphic card and i asked for a quotation. On 3rd when i opened my mail at 10:00 am i could not find any quotation in my mail box. I then contacted Mr. Ritesh Singh Ph. no.[protected], 40076186. Mr. Ritesh once again asked to sms my email I.D. to his contact No. [protected] which was duelly done at 11:30 am again when I checked my mail box at 1:46 pm the quotation was not in my mail box. I again contacted Mr. Ritesh and with a casual tone he said I'm send.This sort of employees are employed in your exclusive store?
