Hello Sir,

I had purchased a new Dell Xps laptop worth Rs. 51630/- I paid complete amount in advance at the time of booking dated 20th December, 2010. Its service Tag No. is 8T9V7BS. First of all it was delivered very late to me took around 1 month. After receiving my whole unit i inspected and found that the laptop is not functioning well it is having defect in its internal hardware devices like motherboard. while charging it leaks current and i cannot work on it while connected to AC Adaptor because current shock is of big amount. Secondly while i was trying to install My Operating system i found that operating system CD is also not correct and after that Found that Drivers Media CD is also corrupted which was confirmed by the Dell Engineer when i visited to the authorized Dell showroom situated at Sector-20 C Chandigarh from where i have purchased my machine. Engineer after inspecting told me that machine is malfunctioning and it is not working well and also Driver Media CD and Operating System CD were also corrupted.
Below is the list of faults :-
1) Whole laptop unit hardware.
2) Operating System media CD corrupted.
3) Drivers Media CD corrupted.
I have contacted Dell Customer care many times but everytime i contacted they assure me that engineer will come to your place within 1 to 2 days for faulty laptop pickup and we will give you new laptop. But its now 2 months passed away but nothing is processed and i am heartly frustrated from the services provided by Dell resulted into that I will never suggest any of my known person to purchase any Dell product.
I have suffered a lot from this incident because i was not able to contact to my clients which resulted into loss of money and harrasment at my side. Even my whole office work is dependent upon it and i have suffered a lot in my job work.
I need my money back from Dell and also the compensation money for all my work suffered due to this which is equal to the two times of the actual cost of new laptop.
This is only due to lack of Attention towards their customers by Dell and also the testing team of Dell.

Hello Sir,

I am totally agreed with the above case as i have seen many cases same like this against Dell Services that's why i am using HP laptop machine instead of Dell and also suggest others to think twice before shop with Dell.

with my dell new xps while charging it also leaks current .. i can feel it by rubbing my finger near the touchpad. but it is leakage is very less but it may create a big damage to my hardware in future .. may be or may be not ...

    I had order a dell inspiration 15r laptop, my order no is[protected],but as dell was not able to delivered the same on time so i call concern sales person Mr. loard nathan to cancel my order , but he ask me not to cancel the order & for late delivery he committed me a complete cover warranty for one year & a cordless headphone, but after receiving the laptops he started denaying the same that his manager is not approving, i already contacted to customer care but they people told me that you have to talk with the sales person for this. after 2 days when i was not getting any reply from dell i loged a ticket to return my laptop as per dell policy & also called to customer care to cancel my order then againg Ms. Amita Chaudhary commited me that the commited material ie. one cordless headphones & 1 year complete cover warrenty will dispatch to me & with in 15 days yu will received the same, she asked me for mail a authorization letter that the material is for personal use i provided her thrise but even after 15 days not got the material & not getting any reply from dell

    Pls help .............

    this is really very painful that company like dell is giving no reply
    to his prestigious customers.

      I purchased a laptop from one of the dell authorised dealer in NOIDA. After one week of purchase it started giving burning smell. i loadged a complain to their call centra as the authorised Dealer washed his hands and advised to directly deal with Dell. after loadging complain dell engineer came and replaced mother bord and motor fan. But the problem did not go. Then I was advised to go to service centre. They also could not do any thing. Then I contacted Dell centre thru call centre and requested for replacement of laptop as the unit supplied was defective. They advised on telephone that unit will be deluivered within one month time. But they didnot give any status even after two weeks. Again I cantacted their call centre. every time to call there they will transfer call to 4-5 persons and you have to explain everything to all of them. Finally nothing will happen. I have been talking to them almost every alternate day , but every time sme new person will come and assure that replacement will be done within one or two weeks. They will never reply to our mail only talk on telephone. even they will not connect to their top people. Surprisingly they don not answer by mail and I have daught that Dell have any internal system to handle customer comp[lain by top people. it is always left to the call centrer junior persons who donot reply anythig else than assuring you. Really I do not know how to get back my replacement. my service tag is 631F7BS.

        i had purchase my dell inspiron n 5030 laptop from krishna agencies patna on[protected]. my cash memo number is R02061/10-11.
        from[protected] i am calling to dell because my laptop not work properly it select multiple file without any command , automatically shut down without any command , show error message and shut down etc . after several reminder dell replace my system but new laptop also contain same complaint . i seriously feel big mistake to purchase dell laptop .
        so i request to consider my complaint regarding the same. please refund my money or send other model of dell laptop , i will pay extra money of other model if required . In any case i can't accept same model .

          I had broken down with my brand new laptop Inspron 14R. I talked to dell customer care Executive Named Rajeev with reference of my service Tag no- 723X7BS on[protected] at 10:30 AM. This guy wa so rude and instead of giving the solution, he was blaming me to keep my system update. according ti him I should not download the updates... I wasted my 25 minutes on this and I got the suggestion of not installing the updates. on my system. what the HELL...
          If Dell is going to give this type of fabulous Customer support then everbody can think where it would be

            The date they said is 8 days from order confirmation but still 17-feb(the delivery date mentioned in the order) i didnot received but still they didnot intimate regarding the delay.

            when i called customer care they said that there is delay in the spares thats why ur product got delayed.

            I clearly mentioned to them that i need it very urgent, when I ordered. I cancelled my tickets and i postponed my trip to my native. due to the product delay

            my citibank credit card is returned back to chennai from my previous office address as my office address has changed in between. then what should i do so that my credit card can reach to my new office address.

                I have purchased dell streak on 28-jan-2011 with imei no-[protected] & service tag-86DHFNI,phone had many problems like...
                1-android processor error,
                2-gap between front panel & lcd,
                3-battery backup was very less
                4-problem with messenger
                The list go on...
                Finally i got my phone replaced on 8-2-2011
                With imei no-[protected] & service tag-7BPW1P1
                But now also i am facing many problems-
                1-hanging problem,
                2-while calling there is a huge problem of voice cutting
                3-while calling many a times the phone automatically go to headphone mode...even if headphone is not connected....
                4-signal problem
                I am using dell laptop and was highly influenced with dell,but after buying this phone i think i made a very wrong decision of buying this phone.
                I want my refund as soon as possible as i have replaced my phone once but now i dont want replacement i want money.... i also want to suggest dell has a good reputation in india plz continue that....

                I purchased a dell streak with a one year replacement warranty, n it cretes problem, it automatically switch off n hanged , with that problem I went four time service center of dell at noida but they always said now its working properly n problem still going on , I m tottally harrassed by service , now I want to replace my mobile

                dell streak — replacement

                I have a dell streak mobile phone. Few days back it automatically hanged up and stopped working. I gave my phone for replacement, the company said it would take 20-25 days for replacement. This is the 38 day, i have yet not received my phone nor any commitment from the company.                     dear sir, i have lodge a complaint related to the price of the laptop product. still i dnt get any response from your organisation. i requested you to please proceed my complaint. for the convienience in finding out my complain i am telling the details of the product...... INSPIRON 14R Laptop, 3 Gb RAM, core i3 processor, 2.40 GHz, 300 HDD, 64-bit operating syatem. Model number is N4010. Purchase on last week of January. The matter is......the owner of the shop has taken RS.40,500/- plus VAT charges of Rs.2025/- i.e in total it cost Rs.42,525/-. Related the matter i talk with him and he asked me not to put up any complain to dell company or any consumer forum. Even he rquest me not to put up complain and he confes and ageed himself as he have taken high unreasonable price he refuse to return the excess amount. as i disapointed i took rate quotation of 2-3 shops and they have in same price renge range between Rs.37,000. to Rs.38,500. All the shopkeepers told me that his price is not reasonable,also says as Included of all taxes VAT is included. they told me that there is not exact price to be sold for the said laptop but there is some limitation that the said Laptop is sold at price of about Rs.37,000. to 38,000. At that time I have only Rs.20,000/- and so in advance i asked him through phone whether he wil able to give the Laptop by paying 20,000/- in advance.According to his acceptence i paid Rs.20,000/- and the remaining due amount i piad on 3rd of feb. When i came to know as he taken unreasonable high price amount why he asked me not to complain? why he doesnt treat well when taking the rate quotation from other shop thak makes clear as he had fraud/frauted me? And why he shouted with a pride and careless that nothing can do against him by any consumer forum.                       dear sir,
                      I bought a dell laptop on 20th January,2011. The model is name as INSPIRON 14R N4010. The configuration is- Intel Core i3 processor, 3 GB RAM, M 370 @ 2.40 GHZ with pre Installed Genuine Windows7I. Its system type is 64- bit operating system. No Pen or Touch input is available for dis display. Regarding dis i hav some confusion on matter of price. The retail sold me at Rs. 40,500 plus Rs.2025 extra as VAT charges i.e Rs.42,525 in total. As I am not satisfied on the said price,I asked other 2-3 computer shops the minimum and maximum price which can sold to the customer. All the 2-3 shops said the same that they sold in the range between Rs.36,500/- to Rs.38,000/- (including all taxes) and sumtimes at Rs.38,500/- in past months. According to the price said by other computer retailer the difference in price is more than Rs.5000/-. As now everyone is familiar and have knowledge of computer I felt shy. Afterall my friends scold me as foolish. As I am so disappointed I rang up the owner of Retailer and asked to considered the matter in very good way and in himanitarian ground. Insted with a pride he told me that, he knows he had sold in higher price but there is any no way to less the price. He said he had sold the same Laptop to others in Rs.45,500/-, also he said he sold at best price Rs.42,525 only to me as we (Owner and Me) staying nearby same locality and as we known each other well from the past. He confess me not to put up any complaint to customer forum or at Dell company telling me that his business relation with Guwahati will not good. He also charged that the higher in price is from the Guwahati dealer, that he bought from them at Rs.40,500/- which he sold me at the same price Rs.40,000/- without any profit,but he put VAT charge of Rs.2,025/- i.e Rs.42,525/- in total.to without any profit as we were from nearer locality. Sir, do you ever imagine that whether the seller (Retailer) will sold his item without any profit to customer whether they known each other or not. I dnt think so. They can give some discount as a friend or as a known person but never in the price he bought from the wholeseller/Distributer. So, the matter is at first he request me not to put up any complain and now when i call him up to discuss the matter as brothers he souted and challenge me to put up complaint according to my likes. Before, I dnt think so to put up any complain as i like to close the chapter in a good way considering for forgivenes as I am also a human being and have that sense as no one is there which never commit any misteke.But, according to his word it insulted myself to take convinient help from your organization. It is important to mentioned that before i bought the laptop i declare myself to him through phone and asked whether he is able to give or not with an advance of Rs.20,000/- . He was very happy to receive my phone,and welcome me as he can give and told to pay the remaining amount between 31st of February. But in advance On 3rd Feb.2011 i paid Rs.17,0000/-. Therefore the total amount I have paid as advance for the said Laptop is Rs.37,000/-. No one is allow to return any electronic item once the customer bought the item. Instead they will give the gurantee of months,year or more.Negative marks are also not found in most of the electronic item. But the said Owner name as Papu (name used in locality) told me again and again to return the item. Instead of confess himself for his mistake he tried to pull me down, told me not to complaint. He is a rich person so he bosted as no one can do anything even he make the price of the item at his likes. So i hope the consumer forum organization will find out positively for every consumer which frauted by the shopkeepers. Difference for more than Rs.5000/- is not the easy matter. I will produce Cash memo and other neceserries things for the further action.And i wish to be in touch with your organization always.                       dell inspiron 14R (N4010) — struck

                      my laptop always getting strucked, and i am always getting a msg that windows explorer is not responding; display driver not responding;
                      laptop performance is also becoming very slow
                      I have full confident that the complaint is reasonable. There is something hidden behind as the Shopkeepers request not put any complain to any consumer forum. Neither he accepted his mistake. His shop is not located at godd market area of the state, so he hardly sold his computers as sold one computer a day and sumtimes no any sell through out the month. Because of less in his sells it is right ta say that he sold in unresonable price once the customer entered his shop coz that customer is very important for him to make up all his dues and unsold items.
                      I have already gone through this fraud process. I brought laptop from THE ELECTRONIC STORE, pune. i recommended please don't buy any electronic device from this shop.

                      DELL COMPANY / LAPTOP-DELL INSPIRON 14R LAPTOP N4010(Core i3 processor, 3 GB RAM, 2.40 Ghz)=37000 However, its real price was 31000(from dell site).And major issues is in this 6 months I used only 20 days, other days dell support team are using at bangalore and Dell. Today also dell delhi team trying to find out why laptop is not powering on
                      Kindly tell me the actual price of Dell Inspiron 14 R N4010 Laptop, with corei3 processor, 3GB RAM, 320 GB HD as I had purchased the same in January in Rs. 35500 intoto including VAT from a reputted shop/dealer in Meerut(U.P.). Also the price was 34, 600/- but no OS installed (I dont care OS, goes with patch onlyy). But the problem is that dell manual says it have a broadband card.. to which the SIM can be inserted.. But i cant find the slot in that..?? does that shopkeeper removed it or what>>>???

                        We had booked a computer on 24th January 2011 through their sales representative Ms. Neetu Yadav. While confirming the order on the phone, she promised that the said computer would be delivered by 02-03rd Feb 2011. However, when we got the order confirmation, it was mentioned that the said order would be delivered on or befor 09th Feb 2011. When we spoke to Neetu, she assured us that this was just a mere formality and the delivery would take place well before that as she had promised. After that day she just dissapeared and refused to speak with us on the phone. Today (07th Feb 2011) when we called up the Dell customer care they said very casually that the order is not ready due to non-availability of certain parts. No specific date of delivery can be provided by them also. For order cancellation they say that it takes 25 days which is ridiculous.

                        I have booked Dell Laptop Vide order no 1212 dt. 08.09.2010 in cash in the name of Sakshi Todwal from Creations, #G2, Vinayak Enclave, Vaishali Nagar, Opp Post office, Jaipur- 302021, Rajasthan.

                        They gave Dell Laptop on 08.09.2010. Next day they approach to us to return back this Laptop as this was issued to another customer. I man take back this laptop on 10.09.2010 and gave another model which was older they what I booked.

                        I called Ms Kalpana, who is MD of creation that we will take delivery may be on deepawali and she agreed. I requested her to pl. send deposit slip to us on address given in order form.

                        Neither she send me deposit slip not she picking up my call. I doubt her so I asked her to give me Laptop which I have booked on 08.09.2010 and given advance for that.Since last 15 days I am calling her more then 10 times and and she is promising me you will get your laptop by today or tomorrow.

                        After lot of follow up her man came to delivered Laptop. But again It was very surprise for me that he bought another model of Dell.

                        I am working in Gujarat and I can not come to Jaipur, I need help from your forum to get my money soon from Creations.

                          i brought two laptops dell studio and inspiron. Studio with slot in dvd writer which never worked properly from d day i brought, i complained and they sent an engineer after 2 days. He askd 4 cd came with d laptop. I shock when i cm back there, he was desembeling my pc as a labor changing wheels of ferari. He scratchd all around the body and fixed keypad frame by breaking its knots and caps indicator, i suggest him to work softly but he then he clerify that ''i didnt found ur place and so now v r at loss to get service charge from company due to not servicing with in 24hr. They replaced my writer but same problem after 3 days. Nw am using usb writer coz its beter then to boot pc to get d disc out. Worst service and worst hardware they r using. M just fed up now.

                            My Name is chandrasekhar.i have purchased a dell laptop Inspiron 1564 through staples store on 7th April 2010.My Laptop Service tag is BQVD5BS ,with in 8 months of my purchase the laptop shows some typical behaviors like blue screen errors,continuos beep sound etc. i have shown my laptop in dell service center and they replaced core parts like mother board ,2 RAMS.The continues beep sound issue got resolved but two new issues got introduced to my laptop one is over heating of mother board and too much fan noise.Again i visited dell service center and they replaced mother board and fan and some other parts.After replacing the fan with new one i am still able to hear the noise sound .

                            i strongly feel dell has cheated me by sending a substandard product.

                            Dell Should replace my laptop with a new one or should provide a waranty period for the repalcement parts and fix my issues.

                            Note :-my warranty period is going to be over very soon and i dont think dell will look into my issues once the waranty period is over

                            Please help me to take further action if possible

                                  I purchased a laptop from a retailer in somdata plazza . Now after six months Its hard disk has got damaged.
                                  When I called dell customer care he told me the retailer has not sent the invoice copy of your machine so we can't help you. When i talked to the retailer he told me that the dell's people are lying and they don't want to provide service so i gave my retailer my laptop to change its hard disk. this was two weeks ago from tody( 27/01/2011). He says he has already locked the complaint in the dell service centre and its thier responsibility to send a mechanic. I don't understand to whom should i ask for help. what is the reason who is lying i don't understand ......please help,,, waiting for your reply.
                                  Now its time to complaint to police about this. You can file case against both retailer and dell company. And go to consumer court and file a case for amount 10 lakhs as penalty and i am sure you will get minimum 4 lakh from dell and one lakh from retailer.
                                  Do soon as possible. A same type case we got 5 lakhs from consumer court.

                                    I had purchased DELL laptop on[protected],, But when we are connecting its port to an LCD, That LCD output is not showing clearly and its colours are also not showing in normal mode. When we connect the same LCD to another laptop it is working clearly.

                                    The same LCD when connected to our new laptop it is not showing clear picture. Our service tag is 7RST7BS.

                                      I purchased Dell Inspiron Last Year,
                                      Firstly i called Dell Customer care , they gave me offer of 3 year complete warranty with 8500 and there after gave me 10% discount on full amount, that was ok.
                                      But I visited Dell Showroom Chandigarh , they asked me that now can take 1 year complete warranty of Rs750(approx) and next year you would extend @1900 RS.
                                      And i purchased Laptop from Showroom now after 1 year when i Visited showroom, they said we didn't commit such things and you have to call customer care if you will want to extend warranty and they quote
                                      "One year Next Business Day 8x5 warranty extn price is 6017/-, and Two years for the same is Rs.10473/- (taxes all inclusive)
                                      One year Next Business Day 8x5+ Complete Cover warranty extn price is 8163/-, and Two years for the same is Rs.12929/- (taxes all inclusive)"

                                      So I recommend you all that never purchase from dell showroom , best option is their call centers, however their call center service are very good and their product are also too good but Dell Exclusive Showroom are frauds
