dear sir,
I bought a dell laptop on 20th January,2011. The model is name as INSPIRON 14R N4010. The configuration is- Intel Core i3 processor, 3 GB RAM, M 370 @ 2.40 GHZ with pre Installed Genuine Windows7I. Its system type is 64- bit operating system. No Pen or Touch input is available for dis display. Regarding dis i hav some confusion on matter of price. The retail sold me at Rs. 40,500 plus Rs.2025 extra as VAT charges i.e Rs.42,525 in total. As I am not satisfied on the said price,I asked other 2-3 computer shops the minimum and maximum price which can sold to the customer. All the 2-3 shops said the same that they sold in the range between Rs.36,500/- to Rs.38,000/- (including all taxes) and sumtimes at Rs.38,500/- in past months. According to the price said by other computer retailer the difference in price is more than Rs.5000/-. As now everyone is familiar and have knowledge of computer I felt shy. Afterall my friends scold me as foolish. As I am so disappointed I rang up the owner of Retailer and asked to considered the matter in very good way and in himanitarian ground. Insted with a pride he told me that, he knows he had sold in higher price but there is any no way to less the price. He said he had sold the same Laptop to others in Rs.45,500/-, also he said he sold at best price Rs.42,525 only to me as we (Owner and Me) staying nearby same locality and as we known each other well from the past. He confess me not to put up any complaint to customer forum or at Dell company telling me that his business relation with Guwahati will not good. He also charged that the higher in price is from the Guwahati dealer, that he bought from them at Rs.40,500/- which he sold me at the same price Rs.40,000/- without any profit,but he put VAT charge of Rs.2,025/- i.e Rs.42,525/- in total.to without any profit as we were from nearer locality. Sir, do you ever imagine that whether the seller (Retailer) will sold his item without any profit to customer whether they known each other or not. I dnt think so. They can give some discount as a friend or as a known person but never in the price he bought from the wholeseller/Distributer. So, the matter is at first he request me not to put up any complain and now when i call him up to discuss the matter as brothers he souted and challenge me to put up complaint according to my likes. Before, I dnt think so to put up any complain as i like to close the chapter in a good way considering for forgivenes as I am also a human being and have that sense as no one is there which never commit any misteke.But, according to his word it insulted myself to take convinient help from your organization. It is important to mentioned that before i bought the laptop i declare myself to him through phone and asked whether he is able to give or not with an advance of Rs.20,000/- . He was very happy to receive my phone,and welcome me as he can give and told to pay the remaining amount between 31st of February. But in advance On 3rd Feb.2011 i paid Rs.17,0000/-. Therefore the total amount I have paid as advance for the said Laptop is Rs.37,000/-. No one is allow to return any electronic item once the customer bought the item. Instead they will give the gurantee of months,year or more.Negative marks are also not found in most of the electronic item. But the said Owner name as Papu (name used in locality) told me again and again to return the item. Instead of confess himself for his mistake he tried to pull me down, told me not to complaint. He is a rich person so he bosted as no one can do anything even he make the price of the item at his likes. So i hope the consumer forum organization will find out positively for every consumer which frauted by the shopkeepers. Difference for more than Rs.5000/- is not the easy matter. I will produce Cash memo and other neceserries things for the further action.And i wish to be in touch with your organization always. dell inspiron 14R (N4010) — struck

my laptop always getting strucked, and i am always getting a msg that windows explorer is not responding; display driver not responding;
laptop performance is also becoming very slow
I have full confident that the complaint is reasonable. There is something hidden behind as the Shopkeepers request not put any complain to any consumer forum. Neither he accepted his mistake. His shop is not located at godd market area of the state, so he hardly sold his computers as sold one computer a day and sumtimes no any sell through out the month. Because of less in his sells it is right ta say that he sold in unresonable price once the customer entered his shop coz that customer is very important for him to make up all his dues and unsold items.
I have already gone through this fraud process. I brought laptop from THE ELECTRONIC STORE, pune. i recommended please don't buy any electronic device from this shop.

DELL COMPANY / LAPTOP-DELL INSPIRON 14R LAPTOP N4010(Core i3 processor, 3 GB RAM, 2.40 Ghz)=37000 However, its real price was 31000(from dell site).And major issues is in this 6 months I used only 20 days, other days dell support team are using at bangalore and Dell. Today also dell delhi team trying to find out why laptop is not powering on
Kindly tell me the actual price of Dell Inspiron 14 R N4010 Laptop, with corei3 processor, 3GB RAM, 320 GB HD as I had purchased the same in January in Rs. 35500 intoto including VAT from a reputted shop/dealer in Meerut(U.P.). No gift/carry case of Dell was given to me by the dealer with the laptop though 15 months free antivirus and genuine window 7 are there in the laptop

I bought the same config with 4GB ram and 500Gb HDD. but before buying i checked the FUNC code in dell website and all. Evrything was genuine. Also the price was 34, 600/- but no OS installed (I dont care OS, goes with patch onlyy). But the problem is that dell manual says it have a broadband card.. to which the SIM can be inserted.. But i cant find the slot in that..?? does that shopkeeper removed it or what>>>???

Inspiron14R(N4010), DELL — Display problem

    We had booked a computer on 24th January 2011 through their sales representative Ms. Neetu Yadav. While confirming the order on the phone, she promised that the said computer would be delivered by 02-03rd Feb 2011. However, when we got the order confirmation, it was mentioned that the said order would be delivered on or befor 09th Feb 2011. When we spoke to Neetu, she assured us that this was just a mere formality and the delivery would take place well before that as she had promised. After that day she just dissapeared and refused to speak with us on the phone. Today (07th Feb 2011) when we called up the Dell customer care they said very casually that the order is not ready due to non-availability of certain parts. No specific date of delivery can be provided by them also. For order cancellation they say that it takes 25 days which is ridiculous.

    Dell Laptop — non delivery

    I have booked Dell Laptop Vide order no 1212 dt. 08.09.2010 in cash in the name of Sakshi Todwal from Creations, #G2, Vinayak Enclave, Vaishali Nagar, Opp Post office, Jaipur- 302021, Rajasthan.

    They gave Dell Laptop on 08.09.2010. Next day they approach to us to return back this Laptop as this was issued to another customer. I man take back this laptop on 10.09.2010 and gave another model which was older they what I booked.

    I called Ms Kalpana, who is MD of creation that we will take delivery may be on deepawali and she agreed. I requested her to pl. send deposit slip to us on address given in order form.

    Neither she send me deposit slip not she picking up my call. I doubt her so I asked her to give me Laptop which I have booked on 08.09.2010 and given advance for that.Since last 15 days I am calling her more then 10 times and and she is promising me you will get your laptop by today or tomorrow.

    After lot of follow up her man came to delivered Laptop. But again It was very surprise for me that he bought another model of Dell.

    I am working in Gujarat and I can not come to Jaipur, I need help from your forum to get my money soon from Creations.

      i brought two laptops dell studio and inspiron. Studio with slot in dvd writer which never worked properly from d day i brought, i complained and they sent an engineer after 2 days. He askd 4 cd came with d laptop. I shock when i cm back there, he was desembeling my pc as a labor changing wheels of ferari. He scratchd all around the body and fixed keypad frame by breaking its knots and caps indicator, i suggest him to work softly but he then he clerify that ''i didnt found ur place and so now v r at loss to get service charge from company due to not servicing with in 24hr. They replaced my writer but same problem after 3 days. Nw am using usb writer coz its beter then to boot pc to get d disc out. Worst service and worst hardware they r using. M just fed up now.
      the dell service is very poor.even they disconnet the phone call without solving the problem.even from 2 week i am calling again and again .

        My Name is chandrasekhar.i have purchased a dell laptop Inspiron 1564 through staples store on 7th April 2010.My Laptop Service tag is BQVD5BS ,with in 8 months of my purchase the laptop shows some typical behaviors like blue screen errors,continuos beep sound etc. i have shown my laptop in dell service center and they replaced core parts like mother board ,2 RAMS.The continues beep sound issue got resolved but two new issues got introduced to my laptop one is over heating of mother board and too much fan noise.Again i visited dell service center and they replaced mother board and fan and some other parts.After replacing the fan with new one i am still able to hear the noise sound .

        i strongly feel dell has cheated me by sending a substandard product.

        Dell Should replace my laptop with a new one or should provide a waranty period for the repalcement parts and fix my issues.

        Note :-my warranty period is going to be over very soon and i dont think dell will look into my issues once the waranty period is over

        Please help me to take further action if possible

              I purchased a laptop from a retailer in somdata plazza . Now after six months Its hard disk has got damaged.
              When I called dell customer care he told me the retailer has not sent the invoice copy of your machine so we can't help you. When i talked to the retailer he told me that the dell's people are lying and they don't want to provide service so i gave my retailer my laptop to change its hard disk. this was two weeks ago from tody( 27/01/2011). He says he has already locked the complaint in the dell service centre and its thier responsibility to send a mechanic. I don't understand to whom should i ask for help. what is the reason who is lying i don't understand ......please help,,, waiting for your reply.
              Now its time to complaint to police about this. You can file case against both retailer and dell company. And go to consumer court and file a case for amount 10 lakhs as penalty and i am sure you will get minimum 4 lakh from dell and one lakh from retailer.
              Do soon as possible. A same type case we got 5 lakhs from consumer court.

                Dear Sir,

                I had purchased DELL laptop on[protected],, But when we are connecting its port to an LCD, That LCD output is not showing clearly and its colours are also not showing in normal mode. When we connect the same LCD to another laptop it is working clearly.

                The same LCD when connected to our new laptop it is not showing clear picture. Our service tag is 7RST7BS.

                So we request you to please do the needful in this case as early as possible. As we are using this for our office purpose,, it is very urgent for us.

                  I purchased Dell Inspiron Last Year,
                  Firstly i called Dell Customer care , they gave me offer of 3 year complete warranty with 8500 and there after gave me 10% discount on full amount, that was ok.
                  But I visited Dell Showroom Chandigarh , they asked me that now can take 1 year complete warranty of Rs750(approx) and next year you would extend @1900 RS.
                  And i purchased Laptop from Showroom now after 1 year when i Visited showroom, they said we didn't commit such things and you have to call customer care if you will want to extend warranty and they quote
                  "One year Next Business Day 8x5 warranty extn price is 6017/-, and Two years for the same is Rs.10473/- (taxes all inclusive)
                  One year Next Business Day 8x5+ Complete Cover warranty extn price is 8163/-, and Two years for the same is Rs.12929/- (taxes all inclusive)"

                  So I recommend you all that never purchase from dell showroom , best option is their call centers, however their call center service are very good and their product are also too good but Dell Exclusive Showroom are frauds

                    I purchased Dell (TM) Studio 15 Laptop (S541036IN8) on[protected] and since April, 2010 this Laptop's Internal 8X DVD+/-RW Combination Drive with dual layer write capabilities went out of order and many times Dell Service Centre rectify the defects, but this particular DVD again & again went out of order resulting in lot of mental disturbance to myself and my children suffered greatly due to this particular problem with DVD DRIVE.                       I brought one Dell Streak on last December. But the very next day it fell down from 1 ½ feet height and the Gorilla glass broken into pieces. In Dell website it's clearly mentioned that Streak comes with a "Crystal-clear damage-resistant Gorilla® glass screen”

                      I am surprised that from this height how a Gorilla glass will break. After this I logged a complaint with Dell about 42 days back. Every time I can say Dell is fooling me in the sense giving wrong commitments to the customer “Spares will come by 1’st, 2’nd, 3’rd week of Jan etc etc..” And finally they send me a mail stating that because of spares non availability I have to pay another Rs.10000 to replace the handset.

                      DELL INDIA — non working of dell streak mobile

                      Dear Sir /Madam,
                      I had taken dell streak 5'' tab on 21 june 2011 from Magnate Store Irla branch. Till date i have hardly use mobile for 10 days. Thrice it has gone to dell centre for repair where alway the problem was that mobile is not charged. I have paid 7200 rupees first time for mobile replacement, new cord and one new extra charger with cord. I got my mobile after 4 weeks with new charger and next day they gave me cord. Cord was not working and phone also stopped charging after four days.Again the centre gave me a new piece without charging and new cord was given. This time phone got charged only for 2 days and new cord which they gave is not working.
                      Now i am not interested in using this phone so i would like to have refund for the mobile and compensation for the mental stress and agony i have gone through.

                      I brougt a dell AERO phone from delhi in 09:07:2011. it has problem of touch screen and hang n the phone .                       1. battery heatting

                      I purchased Dell streak phone from Chandigarh on[protected] and was handover to Dell Authorized Service Center S.C.O. No. 477-478 Sector 35C, Chandigarh on[protected] for a booting issue and was returned after one month on[protected]. Now it is again not working due to charging Port problem for which they are asking Rs 5500/ to get it repair in guarantee period.                       I further represents that even after getting the new piece from you I was not satisfied with its performance and same problems were in existence even in the new piece and this made I disgusted about the functioning of mobile phones of your company I am business man and most of his transactions are being carried on through mobile phones. In the absences of mobile phones is entire business activities come to grinding halt and it ends up in financial loss by losing valuable customers. Therefore left with no other alternatives I had to lodge complaint with your customer care centre, which is highly irresponsible in answering the customer’s grievances. I made number of attempts to contact your customer care centre in this week but either he was directed to call after 2 days or enquire higher officials for further details. I further represents that he was totally dejected as his customers started complaining about non-reachable of connectivity due to some internal defects in the piece and this lead to incalculable financial loss.

                      I represents your’s being service oriented unit is not supposed behave in evasive manner by not responding to the customer. The customer care centre is established to provide prompt response to the customers and redress their grievance immediately. But instead of providing solution and redressal, you have not even taken care to give heed to his requests. I is unable to use the mobile phone as it is clear that the piece is defective and therefore, the entire amount shall be refunded to I along with the mental as well as financial loss caused to him.

                      Hence, I hereby call upon you to refund the sum of Rs.26, 000/- towards cost of the instrument and also a sum of Rs.2, 50, 000/- towards mental harassment and financial loss caused to my client within 7 days from the date of receipt of this notice failing which I have definite instructions from my client to proceed against you by making you liable for all the cost and risk thereof.

                      i purchased dell streak when its cost was around 35000 rs. and I am at pits now..All my money has gone into water..i have replaced it twice due to innumerable problems..and the cherry on the cake is that the service centers for dell are hell worst..late responses and in the first replacement i felt the replacement was a bogus 1..i feel like crying cause i bought it with my hard earned salary..i should have gone for any other phone..

I have recorded a call about communication we had. The Dell service person is telling you may go to consumer court because dell itself is not responding their service team too.                         I purchased Dell Laptop on 31/08/2010 through invoice no.[protected]. After working on it I found the keyboard defective which was replaced by the company. Then I found that sound is not working properly for which I complained to the service centre. The service centre told me that the mother board is a problem so the system has to be replaced. On 29/11/2010 I got a mail & asked me to send some documents signed & scanned & remail the same. I signed the documents & mailed to the given address. Now nearly two months have passed neither my defective laptop has been picked up nor the new has been delivered. Everytime on talking to the service centre the only option left to me I get an assurance that my faulty laptop will be picked up in two to three days & new will be delivered in 10 days. Now I feel like that the company has cheated me by delivering a faulty piece & no solution is coming up to me.

                          I have procured the Laptop Inspiron (TM) 1564 (Product Code No.S5412061N8) against Inv.No.00442310 dtd.19/03/10 from M/s Dell India, but there is some problem in the laptop's LCD Screen which was brought to the notice of their Customer care no. of times.

                          Some of the Dell Customer Care Executives whom the undersinged had explained the problem in detialed were Mr.Ankit, Mr.Umesh Taluja, Mr.Sagar, Mr.Sunil & Mr. Narayana all these executives had accepted the problem and assured that the problem will resolved and had asked to carry out no. of operations on the laptop but even after doing all the activities as advised by these executives the problem still persists.

                          You are requested to advise the further coarse of action against th referred company.

                          Dell India Pvt. Ltd — Poor After Sales. Faulty Product

                          Dear Sir/Madam

                          I purchased a Dell Inspiron Model 1410 worth Rs. 40600/- in Oct 2010. Within just 45 days of purchasing, My bluetooth software stopped working. On the instructions of their Technical Executive, I was told to reboot my laptop to repair my bluetooth driver. I performed the necessary action but not only did the bluetooth not work, even my webcam stopped working.

                          I, then, requested for a repalcement. Firstly, Dell has a telephonic after sale service. Getting through to the concerned person took a lot of time. I, then contacted the Area Sales Manager, who just forwarded a mail and didnt bother to listen to my queries. Even their Technical executives are not available over the fone. Finally, my request for a replacement was accepted.

                          Even though the laptop stopped working due to no fault on my part, I was subjected to unfair treatment by my calls being unanswered. When my request for replacement was accepted, I have been told that my faulty laptop will be taken and I will have to wait to 12-15 working days to get a new Laptop.

                          I am an MBA student and my entire curriculum depends on my Laptop. Waiting for 12-15 days without a laptop is not just unfair but clear injustice.

                          Dell India Pvt. Ltd — Hopeless Services

                          Firstly Dell does not accept purchase orders from small companies. It has to be in the format that they submit. They were not accepting my order because i placed a penalty clause in it that too after the delivery period ends. So i had to place order in their format.

                          Order was placed on 22 October 2010 and confirmation received on 27 October. As per order confirmation, laptop was to be delivered by 19 November. On Dell's website it was supposed to be delivered by 16 November, 2010.

                          Today being 3 December, Dell sales person Mr. Dipjyoti Nandy does not pick up my phone, neither the care service center is ready to give me the status. On the website it shows that product has been shipped from factory (Malaysia).

                          It is my sincere advise not to entertain foreign companies like these and be extra sure while making any purchase.
                          it will take 20-40 days to reach
                          M/s Dell has an third class after sales service.

                              I baught Studio laptop in Sep - 2010 and in Nov - 2010 the mother board got down (dell replaces). In Jan 2011, now they gonna change keyboard and optical drive.

                              One more problem I am facing with internet connectivity, which Dell support engineers says this is the problem with operating system installation.

                              Brother ...plz understand, any computer is a electronic product, and it can go bad anytime, depends on usage also. I have been using DELL product from past 5 yrs and till now not even a single part is replaced . 1st understand, DELL company give you warranty on your system not guarantee. So only part was replaced .

                                    I am SHAILESH KUMAR from Varanasi, UP. I have place my order to Dell India Pvt. Ltd. for a Laptop on 24 November 2010 to be delivered to the Varanasi address, and they told that it will be delivered within 10 days, but it was not delivered. Then I called to them, then they told that it was put up on hold for the road permit form, and this thing they have not told before placing the order.
                                    Finally I have sent the Road Permit form within a week, but next week they told that there was some document error in that form. The only error was that the validation date I have mention from[protected] upto 8-1-2010 instead of 8-1-2011.
                                    So, I decided to change the delivery address to New Delhi address, so that no Road permit form will be required there. On 22 December 2010 I have told to change the delivery address, and they told that it will be changed within 2 days.

                                    But now the problem is the salesperson to whom I was talking with is not replying calls or mails, and its been more than a month since I have placed my order. And when I am talking to their Toll Free number, so no one is able to give me the satisfactory answer, and they are only switching the calls from one department to other.

                                    Dell India Ltd — delay in delivery

                                    Sir this is with regard to order of battery for my Laptop from Dell. While interacting for the first time the sales person from the Dell, he was very cordial and helpful. He assured me to deliver the product within one week time. He has not provided any invoice for my payment made through card even after 7 days. he is claiming that he will get the invoice after delivery of the goods which seems to be very illogical. Today I am in dilemma about my online order. I have only provided with a transaction ID which is 798267. I have no idea about any regulation in India about such type of activities by companies, where they trap the customers with fallacious promises and later forget all those. When contacted for the subsequent time I was not assisted properly. Being on phone line my call was transferred from one person to other without intimating me and finally no solution was provided. I am doing so many transactions online but this was the first instance when i met with such types of Mal-practices. It totally changed my perception about DELL. I will never suggest any body to go for Dell. Their pricing policy is very suspicious. They do not demonstrate the fixed price of their product and reason for changes in their value. I think their should be proper check from the side of Govt. of India to regulate such companies.

                                    Dell India Limited — Delay in delivery and misleading

                                    I purchased a laptop by placing an order online from Dell India Limited on 08 June, 2011.

                                    The sales person gave me a confirmation that the delivery will be made by 7 to 10 days.

                                    This was a major reason of my purchase as I required my laptop urgently and I clearly conveyed this message to the salesperson, who assured me a quick delivery.

                                    Next when I enquired after a week, I was told that there was shortage of parts and the parts will be arriving on 18 June, 2011.

                                    I was told that the delivery process will be expedited and by 22 June, 2011 the laptop will be delivered.

                                    Now I have been informed that the parts will be arriving on 28 June, 2011.
                                    Due to this my work is hampered badly.
                                    I am losing valuable time.
                                    I have asked them to return my money, for which there is no response.
                                    Also I am unable to register for an online course for which I needed the laptop.

                                    Kindly look into this matter and suggest.
