I purchased Dell (TM) Studio 15 Laptop (S541036IN8) on[protected] and since April, 2010 this Laptop's Internal 8X DVD+/-RW Combination Drive with dual layer write capabilities went out of order and many times Dell Service Centre rectify the defects, but this particular DVD again & again went out of order resulting in lot of mental disturbance to myself and my children suffered greatly due to this particular problem with DVD DRIVE. I am now requqesting Dell Authoritiy for complete replacement of this faulty DVD Drive with new one. My Name : R.K. Mahindra, Mob. No. [protected], My Servie Tag No. is H T K 75 B S

    I brought one Dell Streak on last December. But the very next day it fell down from 1 ½ feet height and the Gorilla glass broken into pieces. In Dell website it's clearly mentioned that Streak comes with a "Crystal-clear damage-resistant Gorilla® glass screen”

    I am surprised that from this height how a Gorilla glass will break. After this I logged a complaint with Dell about 42 days back. Every time I can say Dell is fooling me in the sense giving wrong commitments to the customer “Spares will come by 1’st, 2’nd, 3’rd week of Jan etc etc..” And finally they send me a mail stating that because of spares non availability I have to pay another Rs.10000 to replace the handset.

    i bought a dell streak phone from delhi in may... now m at nagpur.. it has problem with sound.. no sound in calls.. cant talk therefore. i at DEll Service center, nagpur contacted the person and asked for replacement of handset due to this hardware problem. but i dont get proper response. i cant use the phone at all and facing acute problem.

    DELL INDIA — non working of dell streak mobile

    Dear Sir /Madam,
    I had taken dell streak 5'' tab on 21 june 2011 from Magnate Store Irla branch. Till date i have hardly use mobile for 10 days. Thrice it has gone to dell centre for repair where alway the problem was that mobile is not charged. I have paid 7200 rupees first time for mobile replacement, new cord and one new extra charger with cord. I got my mobile after 4 weeks with new charger and next day they gave me cord. Cord was not working and phone also stopped charging after four days.Again the centre gave me a new piece without charging and new cord was given. This time phone got charged only for 2 days and new cord which they gave is not working.
    Now i am not interested in using this phone so i would like to have refund for the mobile and compensation for the mental stress and agony i have gone through.

    I brougt a dell AERO phone from delhi in 09:07:2011. it has problem of touch screen and hang n the phone .     cell nt wrk properly from the date of sold.i cmplaint at ghaziabad then they change my cell bt still cell has lot of problem.

    I was getting some problems with the phone as below.

    1. battery heatting
    2. on charging the phone. the cell was not resopnding, for which i use to remove the battery and put it back and it use to work.
    3. one side speaker was not working.

    I purchased Dell streak phone from Chandigarh on[protected] and was handover to Dell Authorized Service Center S.C.O. No. 477-478 Sector 35C, Chandigarh on[protected] for a booting issue and was returned after one month on[protected]. Now it is again not working due to charging Port problem for which they are asking Rs 5500/ to get it repair in guarantee period. Pl let me know if any one is facing this type of problem then we can approach consumer Court for the same.

    I state represents that he was not happy with the functioning of the said instrument as of and on it was creating some or other problems. I was totally unsatisfied with the performance of the said instrument and upon that the response and interest shown by you to rectify the defects and problems pointed out by me.

    I further submit that only on repeated requests and complaints you came forward and give a new piece of mobile phone by replacing the defective one. There fresh piece bore the following serial Number of the instrument:

    I further represents that even after getting the new piece from you I was not satisfied with its performance and same problems were in existence even in the new piece and this made I disgusted about the functioning of mobile phones of your company I am business man and most of his transactions are being carried on through mobile phones. In the absences of mobile phones is entire business activities come to grinding halt and it ends up in financial loss by losing valuable customers. Therefore left with no other alternatives I had to lodge complaint with your customer care centre, which is highly irresponsible in answering the customer’s grievances. I made number of attempts to contact your customer care centre in this week but either he was directed to call after 2 days or enquire higher officials for further details. I further represents that he was totally dejected as his customers started complaining about non-reachable of connectivity due to some internal defects in the piece and this lead to incalculable financial loss.

    I represents your’s being service oriented unit is not supposed behave in evasive manner by not responding to the customer. The customer care centre is established to provide prompt response to the customers and redress their grievance immediately. But instead of providing solution and redressal, you have not even taken care to give heed to his requests. I is unable to use the mobile phone as it is clear that the piece is defective and therefore, the entire amount shall be refunded to I along with the mental as well as financial loss caused to him.

    Hence, I hereby call upon you to refund the sum of Rs.26, 000/- towards cost of the instrument and also a sum of Rs.2, 50, 000/- towards mental harassment and financial loss caused to my client within 7 days from the date of receipt of this notice failing which I have definite instructions from my client to proceed against you by making you liable for all the cost and risk thereof.

    I am thank full to you for replacing & defective Piece of mobile phone and sending me a fresh new Piece. However & warranty period for & defective piece which was supplied to me is going to Lapsed on[protected]. Since New Piece # [protected] is being received by me on today (Dt.[protected] & warrant period for this piece should be extended to 1 (one) year from today.

    I expect for immediate response and conformation about a warranty period given on fresh piece # [protected] through e-mail within 24 hours failing which I have sufficient evidence to expose & deficiency in service by you and also supplying defective piece to a Customer’s. I hope my request of warranty period for 1 (one) year for a above said fresh piece would be considered without making me to knock a doors of the court of law.

    i purchased dell streak when its cost was around 35000 rs. and I am at pits now..All my money has gone into water..i have replaced it twice due to innumerable problems..and the cherry on the cake is that the service centers for dell are hell worst..late responses and in the first replacement i felt the replacement was a bogus 1..i feel like crying cause i bought it with my hard earned salary..i should have gone for any other phone..

    I purchased A XCD 35 & dell streak, I have problem with both phones. The situation is my both phones & replacement amount is at service centre from last 2 months. I have recorded a call about communication we had. The Dell service person is telling you may go to consumer court because dell itself is not responding their service team too. The hell worst part is customer service people are putting the call during communication.

      I purchased Dell Laptop on 31/08/2010 through invoice no.[protected]. After working on it I found the keyboard defective which was replaced by the company. Then I found that sound is not working properly for which I complained to the service centre. The service centre told me that the mother board is a problem so the system has to be replaced. On 29/11/2010 I got a mail & asked me to send some documents signed & scanned & remail the same. I signed the documents & mailed to the given address. Now nearly two months have passed neither my defective laptop has been picked up nor the new has been delivered. Everytime on talking to the service centre the only option left to me I get an assurance that my faulty laptop will be picked up in two to three days & new will be delivered in 10 days. Now I feel like that the company has cheated me by delivering a faulty piece & no solution is coming up to me.

        I have procured the Laptop Inspiron (TM) 1564 (Product Code No.S5412061N8) against Inv.No.00442310 dtd.19/03/10 from M/s Dell India, but there is some problem in the laptop's LCD Screen which was brought to the notice of their Customer care no. of times.

        Some of the Dell Customer Care Executives whom the undersinged had explained the problem in detialed were Mr.Ankit, Mr.Umesh Taluja, Mr.Sagar, Mr.Sunil & Mr. Narayana all these executives had accepted the problem and assured that the problem will resolved and had asked to carry out no. of operations on the laptop but even after doing all the activities as advised by these executives the problem still persists.

        You are requested to advise the further coarse of action against th referred company.

        Dell India Pvt. Ltd — Poor After Sales. Faulty Product

        Dear Sir/Madam

        I purchased a Dell Inspiron Model 1410 worth Rs. 40600/- in Oct 2010. Within just 45 days of purchasing, My bluetooth software stopped working. On the instructions of their Technical Executive, I was told to reboot my laptop to repair my bluetooth driver. I performed the necessary action but not only did the bluetooth not work, even my webcam stopped working.

        I, then, requested for a repalcement. Firstly, Dell has a telephonic after sale service. Getting through to the concerned person took a lot of time. I, then contacted the Area Sales Manager, who just forwarded a mail and didnt bother to listen to my queries. Even their Technical executives are not available over the fone. Finally, my request for a replacement was accepted.

        Even though the laptop stopped working due to no fault on my part, I was subjected to unfair treatment by my calls being unanswered. When my request for replacement was accepted, I have been told that my faulty laptop will be taken and I will have to wait to 12-15 working days to get a new Laptop.

        I am an MBA student and my entire curriculum depends on my Laptop. Waiting for 12-15 days without a laptop is not just unfair but clear injustice.

        Dell India Pvt. Ltd — Hopeless Services

        Firstly Dell does not accept purchase orders from small companies. It has to be in the format that they submit. They were not accepting my order because i placed a penalty clause in it that too after the delivery period ends. So i had to place order in their format.

        Order was placed on 22 October 2010 and confirmation received on 27 October. As per order confirmation, laptop was to be delivered by 19 November. On Dell's website it was supposed to be delivered by 16 November, 2010.

        Today being 3 December, Dell sales person Mr. Dipjyoti Nandy does not pick up my phone, neither the care service center is ready to give me the status. On the website it shows that product has been shipped from factory (Malaysia).

        It is my sincere advise not to entertain foreign companies like these and be extra sure while making any purchase.
        it will take 20-40 days to reach
        M/s Dell has an third class after sales service.

            I baught Studio laptop in Sep - 2010 and in Nov - 2010 the mother board got down (dell replaces). In Jan 2011, now they gonna change keyboard and optical drive.

            One more problem I am facing with internet connectivity, which Dell support engineers says this is the problem with operating system installation.

            Also i have broken pixle on TFT also and dell support says its industry standard. I haven't seen in my life since i started working on computers. Dell will not gonna solve my issue, as support says.

            With in 4 months, below are the parts got changed:

            And i hope many more to go..

            Brother ...plz understand, any computer is a electronic product, and it can go bad anytime, depends on usage also. I have been using DELL product from past 5 yrs and till now not even a single part is replaced . 1st understand, DELL company give you warranty on your system not guarantee. So only part was replaced .

              I have paid money for "Dell Complete Cover Accidental Warranty " and i have registered a complaint in Dell, according to which they are supposed to replace my webcam and DVD drive. I registered complaint in october and it was supposed to be attended in a week's time but now its more than 2 months. I have contacted Dell Regarding this but they are just postponing it again and again.

                  I am SHAILESH KUMAR from Varanasi, UP. I have place my order to Dell India Pvt. Ltd. for a Laptop on 24 November 2010 to be delivered to the Varanasi address, and they told that it will be delivered within 10 days, but it was not delivered. Then I called to them, then they told that it was put up on hold for the road permit form, and this thing they have not told before placing the order.
                  Finally I have sent the Road Permit form within a week, but next week they told that there was some document error in that form. The only error was that the validation date I have mention from[protected] upto 8-1-2010 instead of 8-1-2011.
                  So, I decided to change the delivery address to New Delhi address, so that no Road permit form will be required there. On 22 December 2010 I have told to change the delivery address, and they told that it will be changed within 2 days.

                  But now the problem is the salesperson to whom I was talking with is not replying calls or mails, and its been more than a month since I have placed my order. And when I am talking to their Toll Free number, so no one is able to give me the satisfactory answer, and they are only switching the calls from one department to other.

                  Dell India Ltd — delay in delivery

                  Sir this is with regard to order of battery for my Laptop from Dell. While interacting for the first time the sales person from the Dell, he was very cordial and helpful. He assured me to deliver the product within one week time. He has not provided any invoice for my payment made through card even after 7 days. he is claiming that he will get the invoice after delivery of the goods which seems to be very illogical. Today I am in dilemma about my online order. I have only provided with a transaction ID which is 798267. I have no idea about any regulation in India about such type of activities by companies, where they trap the customers with fallacious promises and later forget all those. When contacted for the subsequent time I was not assisted properly. Being on phone line my call was transferred from one person to other without intimating me and finally no solution was provided. I am doing so many transactions online but this was the first instance when i met with such types of Mal-practices. It totally changed my perception about DELL. I will never suggest any body to go for Dell. Their pricing policy is very suspicious. They do not demonstrate the fixed price of their product and reason for changes in their value. I think their should be proper check from the side of Govt. of India to regulate such companies.

                  Dell India Limited — Delay in delivery and misleading

                  I purchased a laptop by placing an order online from Dell India Limited on 08 June, 2011.

                  The sales person gave me a confirmation that the delivery will be made by 7 to 10 days.

                  This was a major reason of my purchase as I required my laptop urgently and I clearly conveyed this message to the salesperson, who assured me a quick delivery.

                  Next when I enquired after a week, I was told that there was shortage of parts and the parts will be arriving on 18 June, 2011.

                  I was told that the delivery process will be expedited and by 22 June, 2011 the laptop will be delivered.

                  Now I have been informed that the parts will be arriving on 28 June, 2011.
                  Due to this my work is hampered badly.
                  I am losing valuable time.
                  I have asked them to return my money, for which there is no response.
                  Also I am unable to register for an online course for which I needed the laptop.

                  Kindly look into this matter and suggest.

                        I have purchased DELL company's(DELL-VOSTRO 1015 S.No.:POLPEN85409) Laptop dated on 26-Feb-2010(Invoice No.-Feb-19/2010 & Invoice Ammount Rs.32500 ) for its good will and good performance from Softech Computers(address-Khatyima Road,Ward No.-10.Near HDFC BANK. SITARGANJ. . Tin No.-[protected]..). but I am now i fell that it is a rumor and fake. because it is not working properly well after purchasing and DELL company's servicing. so many times I mailed to DELL Company’s area service engineer Mr.Deepak, Mr.Sayed, Mr.Chandra sekhar but no reply I have received from their side.
                        At first my Laptop started Heating abnormaly and a horizontal line arise in the screen. I informed DELL company. then company’s employee(technician) came or service and Issued a report - "check & replace LCD,LCD Cable, Motherboard ,Heat sink, CPU Fan and post new Note Book working OK." Dated on-08'june 2010 Service Tag-H5RXKL1. after servicing the Laptop was not working due to CPU Fan. because CPU Fan was not running and Heat-up and Hang problem of Laptop continued. during the service time I told DELL Company’s technician about that problem but he ignored. then Dated on - "16'th June 2010 DELL Company’s technician Mr. Girish Chand came and issued report- check Laptop Fan not working so replace Fan and Heatsink now system is working". but after servicing the problem wasn't solved. then i complained and DELL’s technician came again and issued report-"check & replace CPU Fan and Heatsink now Laptop working ok"-dated on 21"st sept. 2010.
                        after 3 times servicing the problem remain same. i have informed DELL company so many times but they didn't take any action.
                        I told Softech Computers authority to replace my Laptop other wise solve my problem. They also didn’t take any action and tell me –we can take your Laptop or buy it for Rs.22000(actual purchase amount is Rs.32500). But I wasn’t agreed because I have to loos Rs.10000 for that offer.

                        I am now helpless because nither DELL Company took any action nor Softech Computer. So that’s why I come to consumer forum to solve my problem. I hope after this complain you will take action.

                        DELL — not working well

                          Dell is cheating on his customers by charging them for licensed version of O.S but not providing one nor retailers are educating cust to create recovery disc.Incase you haven't created recovery disc or your disc is not working ,they are not providing O.S cd but image restore which is not complete OS what they have charged for.I will request everyone not to buy dell laptops at all as i have two cases known to me where there hard disk has gone faulty within 3 months of purchase and i also faced same issue with my dell laptop.Pathetic services and cheat company dell is.Now they are asking me 300 rs and the disc that they will provide will not still have Operating system but Image restore.Why should i pay?? when i ahve paid for licensed version and my system is only 3 months old.

                              Hi,
                              I have purchased a new INSPIRON 15 R Laptop from Dell, after the delivery I found that Laptop is slow in performance and top pannel is damaged....I have logged a request with Dell to check the same and found that Hard Disk Drive is corruput and having Bad Sectors.
                              I have reported the same issue to dell and asked them to replace the laptop. They have provided me the Service Request Number and told that it will be replaced in a month.
                              Almost 2 months has passed but I have not received any call back from DELL regarding the replacement. Even after multiple followups I have not got proper answer from DELL Support team, they just forward MY calls into different departments and waisted my time.
                              I am fealing like cheated after purchasing the dell laptop, please help me in resolution of the issue.

                                I purchased a new DELL laptpop Inspiron N5010 on NOV 10th 2010. This laptop dint even last for few hours. When i try to switch on the laptop its not turning on. Remind you this is just the second try i was trying to switch it on and for the first time it was just on was 20-30 minutes. This is because when you close the laptop it goes to hibernate mode and this keeps the battery running. After this i goggled and found out that dell laptops has this problem from long time especially INSPIRON N5010

                                This happpend on DEC 10th 2010. The complaint was raised (ref. no 5820909) at DELL customer service, they took 3 days to attend the problem. Now they say that the battery and motherboard needs to be replaced and it takes one week. Do you beleive its not even a month of purchase and those things turns faulty. Customer care always take 3 days to 1 week to provide onsite service and more time they take the warranty periods gets over soon. Dell gives you just mere 3 months of warranty period.

                                The laptop costed me around 41,500. Such a waste of money by chosing the worst product. First of all DELL laptops are very costly and on top of that they want to make lots of money by proving such a faulty laptops and billing us for the service. If this had happened after 3 months then i would ve to shell out around 10-15k more.

                                GUYS PLEASE DONT GO FOR DELL Inspiron N5010, BETTER AVOID DELL BRANDED LAPTOP ITSELF. YOU WOULD DEFENETILY REPENT AS I AM NOW.

                                It is because you had purchased a branded computer but the service is worst . The reason is due to the rotten management managed by Manager, TM and Trainer Manager and ER who train for dell laptop in Mumbai.
                                The employee are not to be blamed, cause it is due to the pressure put on them by their seniors and also lack of training.
                                You should notify the VP, CEO who stays in US and also notify the headquarters of India in Chennai, Dilip Vellodi who is the MD of sutherland which has dell process and also there is Sitel.

                                I have faced many problems after purchasing DELL system since last 8 month.
                                1) I have used Seagate Hard disk. It had unallocated space problem.
                                I have also registered complaint to your technical department.
                                They send Service Engineer to repair HDD and RAM.
                                He removed Seagate HDD and inserted Samsung HDD on my system However, RAM is incompatible to the system therefore He didn’t replace the RAM.

                                I told to the technical department that “please send me the HDD that is exactly about as per my system configuration”. But He said they did not send proper part.
                                Dell had sent me the web link of customer feedback on my mail ID.
                                I had given the feedback to the dell web link.
                                They did not give me the proper solution about my problem.
                                2) 3 month before changed HDD,
                                Again facing same problem.
                                Like...
                                ? System Hot within 2 hour.
                                ? 2 and half hour system automatically stop working.
                                ? Cannot work properly.
                                ? HDD space unallocated.
                                ? USB Port Do not recognized.
                                ? Bluetooth did not detect mobile phones.
                                This problem I have faced many time.
                                Again, I spoke about this problem with technical department
                                And I requested please give me the proper solution.
                                In April Month I had certainly called 7 days to technical department
                                Every day technical person told me.
                                “Today proper tools are not working can u call tomorrow”.
                                Finally, After 7 days I was very hyper tension and I told technical person “After proper working update tools then come office”.
                                He told me “sorry sir”, and finally
                                He manually made by dispatched.

                                I told to the technical department that “please send me the HDD that is exactly about as per my system configuration”.
                                They told me ‘YES, I will send proper HDD as per your system configuration of HDD and RAM.
                                They assured get back within 4 to 5 working days as replacement.
                                I was waiting for 4 to 5 working days but service Engineer didn’t not came on time.
                                After 15 days I get a call from Service Engineer. He came at my home and replaced above mentioned part.

                                Service Engineer changed HDD and RAM product of Samsung company

                                But I have already told to the technical department that “please send me the HDD and RAM that is exactly about as per my system configuration”.

                                Again they did not send me proper part.

                                I told Service Engineer why you are installing HDD and RAM of different company.
                                He said I don’t know about this product please called Dell Technical Department.

                                Give me the Answer about replacement Dell Provided Services.

                                3) After Changing HDD and RAM, Facing New Problem
                                Like Do not recognized USB Port and Bluetooth.
                                I had called technical department and I spoke the problem what I have faced.

                                I have communicated 2 and half hour with technical person finally she provided me the solution of changing the Mother Board.
                                She made a dispatch and case no. is 6997567. Date is 8 May 2011.
                                She told me provide the part of replacement within 3 to 4 working days.
                                This is list of Problem .....


                                1) LCD rounded Hinj Problem there is different sound...chance of crack the base
                                2) System automatic hang and stop working
                                3) Cannot work properly.
                                4) HDD space unallocated.
                                5) USB Port Do not work proper.
                                6) Display Problem
                                7) When DVD content copy on Hard Drive then system take a time 2:45 min.
                                8) Changed mother board two time but problem still there.
                                9) Battery Problem...


                                I spoke about this problem with technical department
                                And I requested please give me the proper solution.

                                    One day while working on my Dell Inspiron 6400, discovered that mic is not working. I went to Dell service Centre in Chennai.. They b4 checking made me clear about charges (as my warranty period was over well b4)..

                                    (1) Consultation fee Rs 1200/-( that is just to say what is problem with my laptop u need to pay Rs1200)

                                    (2) If it is mic slot/point which is not working i need to change full mother board(cost Rs.22000)

                                    (3) When i asked problem is with mic why do wana change full mother board he says that is d only way out..

                                    I mean it's complete loot... I really recomend b4 u buy any laptop plz confirm after sale services. Just bcoz one smalll chip not working they will change full laptop and earn profit.
