dell inspiron laptops — mcafee not given

I purchased a new laptop from a dell dealer - outshiny on new bel road on 1st august 2010. While purchasing he said that there would be a 15 months subscription for the anti virus included in the amount. But after 15 days i realise that the subscription given is only for 30 days.

Last 4 days everyday I am calling dell helpline and complaining but there is no response so far, Kindly advice what measure should be taken.
Dear sir
the antivirus is not updating and no account has been created on the laptop.

    I purchased Dell Laptop inspiron 14R in Jul 10, order number 0631696, service tag CYW46BS. There was an accidental crack on the display on 09 Sep 10 . I spoke to customer care vide SER # [protected]. One Mr Shivam quoted apprx Rs. 18000/- for an accidental cover for 2 yr and display replacement. However subsequent quote of Rs 18875 was for 1 yr accidental cover and the display replacement was sent by him on e-mail. My reply mail asking breakup of cost on 10 Sep has not been replied by DELL. Another customer care rep ([protected]@Dell.com) called me up on 14 Sep and informed that the 1 yr accidental cover and display replacement would cost aprx Rs 12000 in lieu of Rs 18875 quoted earlier. On my query he also said that replacement of display through this route would take only 3-4 days and if I don't take the accidental cover warranty, the cost of display replacement will remain apprx Rs.[protected] and it will take over 04 wks for the replacement of display. I requested him to mail these quotes, which has not been done till now.

    I consider this a case of cheating and blackmail. I want to know, if it is a Dell policy to replace parts only if there is an accident cover. If so Why did company not tell me at purchase time that repairs are not welcome without accidental cover. I also want to know that what kind of company is it which tells that a display replacement will take over 04 weeks. My laptop is lying defective since 6 days and there is no response from customer care. Pse resolve

    Dell Inspiron 14R — Ordered for Red hot Blue!!

    I ordered (order no.0610205) two Dell Inspiron Laptop 14 R on 21st May and I got the delivery on 12th June 2010. But although I ordered for two laptops, one in Peacock Blue and the other in Tomato Red (I am having the supporting document with me), I received both of them as Peacock Blue. Till that time to present day, I have been only harassed by your local sales person @ Dell Exclusive Store ( 52/B, Kodambakkam High Road, Nungambakkam,Chennai-600034) without any kind of serious help.

    I want to specially epmhasize Mr.RajKumar whose way of dealing with my problem, which was not because of my fault from the beginning (If you don't take opting for Dell as a fault off course),was nothing less than a serious harassment.He kept on telling me that everything was because of my mistake although I have enough evidence against that statement to prove my case in any Consumer court.
    I called to the customer care number[protected] atleast 100 times, but they kept transferring my call to n-number of departments with no one at the end to answer anything.

      since i have bought my machine its not working because of failure in hard disk n also not able to get service properly.The customercare emloyees are untrained and never pick the calls and if so then simply transfer call to some other departments which is never been connected resulting in failure of call...my comlaint no is:-[protected]. iam waiting for engineer's visits since 1st of september till date...

          Dear Sir,

          I have purchased a New Desktop Dell Computer (Model - Inspiron with Monitor 19" TFT) on 22.03.2010 from M/s Impulse Micro Electronic Pvt Limited , D-28, Sector H, Aliganj, Lucknow ([protected]@yahoo.com ,[protected], 4016189) vide sales invoice No. IMPL/SL/565/09-10 Rs. 29978/- with a warranty for one year till 21.03.2011.
          The above desktop is not working since 12th July,2010 due to some hardware probleme in CPU , hence i lodged complaint with my dealer and on custmer care no. [protected] , [protected] but till now there is no response for the same.
          Please look into the matter and solve my probles with extend the waranty of the said unresoloved period.

          Dell Desktop — NO SERVICE

          I PURCHASED AN DELL DESKTOP WHICH BECAME DEAD IN LESS THAN A MONTH, I REGISTERED AN COMPLAINT AGAINST IT AND I WAS PROMISED THAT THE PROBLEM WILL BE RESOLVED WITHIN 7 WORKING DAYS BUT ITS ALREADY AN MONTH AND I COULD NOT GET ANY SERVICE NOR ANY INFORMATION REGARDING MY COMPLAIN AND I M VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE DELL PROVIDES

          Dell Computers(Inspiron 19 Desktop) — Technical Issue

          I purchased the dell inspiorn 19 desktop in june 2010 there are some technical issue in my desktop on 20.09.10 and on the same day i register a complaint through dell customer care. my case no.is 5414650 dated 20/9/2010 and till now it is pending. Moreover there is no communication from any of dell representative. I don't know why have they taken my mobile no. or alternate mobile no. and my e-mail id when they wee not supposed to contact me? While i've enquired five times at my own cost.
          When i enquired on 06.10.2010 they told me that today(on 6th oct) my case is going to be handle positively and they gave me the engineer's mobile no. also but when i contacted to the engineer (Mr. Ansar) at 6.00 p.m on the same day. He told me that my complaint is going to be handle by another engineer Mr. Sukhdev then i asked Mr. Sukhdev and he told me that he can not come today and told me that another engineer Mr Ramveer will come tomarrow & my complaint will be deal positively. Today when I contacted to Mr Ramveer he told me that he will come in the evening but When he did not come in the evening then I ringed Mr Ramveer but he did not attend my phone. Then i called to the senior person of all these persons at 7.00 P.M enquiring about the status of my complaint & asked him whether he is a dell engineer or not then he told me that he is working with wipro. Now its enough because almost 20 days has already gone and I could not use my system and i'm suffering a lot just b,caz of this type of responce which i'm getting from dell officials.

          I have purchased a New Desktop Dell Computer (Model - Vostro / 230 with Monitor 19" TFT) on 12.02.2011 from M/s Deepak Electronics, Bhiwani (Next Retail Shop [protected],[protected], [protected] vide sales invoice No. 7583 Rs. 22000/- with a warranty for one year till 11.02.2012.

            I did such a big mistake when I order a DELL laptop,I ordered a laptop on Aug 11,2010 and till date it is not delivered and they committed to deliver it with in 7 to 10 days and naw its an about a month.I have to follow up on my delivery status many a times but they didn't bother to call once.when ever I used to call at no [protected] Mr.Raju and at no [protected] Miss Gaytri they alway used to tell me that it going to deliver with in two to three days.I don't beleive call them once and they give the same reply.
            I think Dell must wind up there business from India.

            MY PROBLEM DIDNT GOT RESOLVED. AND I CALLED 6 TIMES, 3 TIMES THEY TOLD THEY CANT HERE ME AND THEN 3 TIMES THEY RECIEVED AND PUT ME ON HOLD AND DISCONNECTED THE CALL TWISE. ON THIRD TIME I TOLD THE LADY NOT TO DISCONNECT THE CALL AND SHE PUT ME ON HOLD AND DIDNT RESPOND EVEN AFTER 30 MINUTE.
            IF YOU PEOPLE NOT GOING TO RESOLVE THIS MEANS I WILL LEDGE CASE IN CUSTOMER COURT REGARDING THIS. I HAVE MY EXAMS TOMORROW AND THEY WASTED MORE THAN AN HOUR OF MINE.
            I WONT CALL NEXT TIME I WILL JUST GO TO COURT.

              I went to the Dell service center to get my out of warranty laptop serviced. I experienced a nightmare interacting with technicians who seemed to be more than interested in making me sell my laptop rather than addressing my issues concerning the laptop. The best part was when the security personnel who has handling many customers seemed to be more interested in making me an offer for the laptop. He asked to sell the laptop for Rs 5000/- as he felt it did not make sense to purchase an extended warranty.

              When i decided that it wasn't worth talking to these people who were of little use to me as a customer. I declined the offer politely and preferred to take it back home, suddenly another supervisor offered to pay little more than what was earlier offered. I again declined and advised to take it back home. Immediately the person who was inspecting my laptop asked me to pay him Rs 500/- and take the laptop. It was surprised by that and enquired, if Dell charged customers even when the issues was not fixed. He advised me that Dell charges Rs 1300 for laptop service, even if it meant just visual inspection. It really was not in a mood to talk to them and paid the requested money. When i asked him for a bill, he advised that it would be sent to my place after a month. I told him that he did not have my details to send it across, then he said that they would contact me over the phone and send it through Dell courier.
              He said either i could pay by cash or credit card, irrespective of the method of payment invoice will be sent only after a month.

              Well, it was a clear case of ripping a customer but i was helpless as i was in a hurry as i had an appointment with a dentist and was getting late. I hope someone from Dell notices this and sorts their service point operations. It was such an irony that a company like Dell did not have a CRM in place to enter customer details and printout invoices. The moment i entered the service center, a grumpy & impatient receptionist after looking at the number of people waiting in the queue, gave me a book and pen to write down my details and wait for my turn.

              I am not surprised that Dell's new initiative to retain its customers after loosing the top mantle to HP has failed. I'm not sure if this new sustainable initiative will work, if it does not have any control over the inefficient customer service process. The technicians will happily pocket money while the customers will slip out.

              I WILL NEVER BUY A DELL PRODUCT AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

                I bought a dell laptop 1563 worth around 34000 in feb 2010. My motherboard has been replaced twice by dell.
                Then tochpad has been repalced once and powerbutton panel has also been replaced. I have faced all these replacements with in a month. Now again my touchpad is not working. I register my complaint to dell care regarding the comlete replacemt of my system on 20th august 2010. They admitted my request and gave me surity of the replacement. But it has been around 20 days that i havnt got any feedback from the dell. Whenever i call the dellcare they transfer my call to the replacemt department and after waiting for 15 to 30 mins it get disconnected. I have been trying this since last 15 days. They sent me the documents to signed by me. So i have already signed those documents and mailed them back, but no reply. I am not able to understand to whom to contact regarding this issue.

                  I regret to inform you that to date I have still not received my Laptop after having written several e-mails and phone calls to Dell India. The answer I get is it will be delivered tomorrow, but that tomorrow never comes.


                  The customer sales person Mr. Santhosh Francis is never available on his phone and the phone always goes on his voicemail.

                  I request you to kindly take up my case with the concerned person in India and please let me know when I should be receiving my Dell Laptop.

                    Dell is the most respected company in Computer industry, and i am suprise to see the services offered by your respected company .

                    I have been constantly trying to reach your customer care number ,but after a lot of try only , i am able to talk to customer care executive.

                    After talking to customer care executive ,he constantly hangs up my phone to some other line and i like a foolish is stranded to my phone

                    It is my humble request to kindly look into this matter as i am really fed up with your kind of service.

                      sir i purchased the Dell Laptop Inspiron (cost in Indian Rupee 41000=00)N 5010 from Mars Computers Bageshwar Dist-Bageshwar.(Uttrakhand) on 3 july 2010.On 10 july 2010 the charger Adapter was not working properly.The contract no of Mars Copmputers is [protected]/[protected].I go to the Mars Computers and said the problem.The shopkeeper said that the Adopter will go to the Company and back with 7 days.I belived the Mars Computers and back after 7days.The Mars Computer has not retuern the Adopter after 50 days till 30 july 2010.When i purchase the Laptop all the programme was out of date because the Laptop was so old and company software programme cd date was March 2010.Company has charge me with software 41000=00.I purchsed the Laptop to Mars Computers because it is near my town Bageshwar.I told the Mars Copmuters to update the Programme,But he was not sucess to run Internet in the Laptop.Finally the Mars Computers has formate the Original Windows 7 home basic and install the windows 7 Proffessional.E ven than he was not sucess to run Internet in the Laptop.Tha n a person suggested me to call dell costomer Care.The customer care told me that your sustem is out of warranty .Your warrenty period was expired on March 2010.But the warrenty should be 3 july 2011 because the Laptop was purchased on 3 july 2010.The company has any solution for this problem?Will the company replace the Laptop and give the new updated Laptop to me because i pay to the company 41000=00.on 3 july 2010.If you have any solution please call me [protected].

                          I ordered a dell inspiron studio 14 laptop on 10th aug '10. They gave me the order confirmation only on 20th aug. When i checked the order status on 21st the "estimated delivery date" was 30th aug. But they failed to deliver and never informed the status of delivery. Till today(1st sep '10) they didn't provide any reason and apologise for their delay. Currently, they changed the "estimated date of delivery" as "To be Advised". I dont know , what kind of customer service center they are having without the service to customers.

                            After 1 year 7 months i got major problem in my laptop.I went dell service center Hyderabad(A.P,India) .They told me we do not repairs DELL laptop and your laptop is not in warranty .I told I will pay repair charges for my laptop . They gave me a local laptop service centre address(They have printed address cards) and asked me to go there. After this I am trying to repair my leptop with local service center.

                            After one month I sent mail to dell service center . they proposed me Rs 17000 charges to repair my dell laptop. I cannot pay this mount to repair my laptop.

                            So I have some questions?

                            1) Is this DELL company service and support to leave the customer after saliling a product ?
                            2) Is the dell leave the costumers After one year(warranty) . and do not care for further serveices?
                            3) If I take warranty again and pay RS 17000 is there any warranty that this DELL leptop will not have problem after one year because then i have to pay RS 17000 again.

                            After a short peroid of warenty expirartion if this much big problem comes that means the product is not good quality and over this company does not have good service and support

                            Thanks to all Technical Teams those Developed this DELL product and Sale Team those are selling this product. No comment on Service and support Team they are out of my mind.

                            DELL LAPTOP — wifi connectivity gets lost after every 2-3 min

                            sir, i have bought a dell laptop just 2 months back and since then wifi connectivity problem is there.
                            now they are saying that that's not our problem its an environmental problem and thereby they are hiding themselves from their responsibilities.
                            they are not ready to replace my system.
                            i want you take some tuff steps to tackle them and help me out.
                            hyderabad dell service center in SP ROAD ARE big cheaters they take my laptop and told to change mother board there was no issue and i fixed with my friend with 0 money..big cheaters dont go them dell service center hyderabad in sp road, near annad theatre.

                              Re: Faulty Machine, atrocious after sales service

                              I received the delivery of the above mentioned machine on 06.08.10

                              Engineer visit on 08.08.10; installed the machine

                              Machine stopped receiving power supply after a loud blast; Complaint registered on 10.08.10; req no.:[protected]

                              I was communicated by the customer care executive that the faulty parts (mother board, panel board and BOMS power supply) will be replaced 'as soon as possible'. As this seemed rather unusual (them not providing me with accurate replacement date). After further probe I was informed that the specific parts were not available at all. It was shocking because before buying the machine, the executive at CHROMA, JUHU had sworn about the fantastic after sales service and all grievances being rectified within one working day. So I categorically informed the call centre supervisor-Mr. Melvin that my business involves a lot of computer usage and it would suffer drastically if they deliver later than a couple of days. To my utter disbelief they could offer little help.

                              I kept calling Melvin regularly who did nothing more than giving me false assurances. Since the 15th of August i have spoken with all the following names : Avneet, Alvin, Kumar, Chitru, Sanjay and Geeta who finally told me that the parts re delivered and asked me to speak with some ‘Sangeeta’, which I did. To add insult to injury, Sangeeta informed me on Aug 19 2010 that the parts are delivered to ‘Logistic’ who are not delivering it to her company due to some internal rift going on between the two companies and failed, yet again, to address my issue. She categorically mentioned that parts will not be delivered to me until ‘Logistic’ hands it over to them.

                              Thereafter, on 25th August, i spoke with the then present floor supervisor, Mr. Rajan at DELL s customer service centre who assured me that he ll take care of the problem. After three days or so i got a call from engineer, Abdul that he was assigned to come fix my computer and whether i was home, to wich i informed him that i never received any parts as yet. He gave me Sangeeta's contact number again. She had no clue as to where the parts were as she had already received a delivery report. I did receive parts the same evening and called up the enginer, Abdul the next day but he was not assigned to come to my place but to go somewhere else. I called up Sangeeta again on Fri Aug 28 and to my utter shock she mentioned that she could not send the engineer before monday.

                              The most unbelievable part of the story is that everyone related to this organisation that i spoke with was clueless about what to do. No one ever bothered to call me up and let me know whats going on and they all were completely unprofessional in satisfying my grievance. Its Aug 28 today (its been 18 days since my complaint vis a vis their promise of a 24 hours grievance solution) and the machine that i bought for app. rs. 30,000 is just sitting at home in no working condition. I am sure that others are suffering at these hands as well and i am also sure that DELL and its support network is not being able to address their grievances as they promised to.

                                This is note that I had purchased DELL laptop Model-studio 1558 through online on 07.04.2010. But after 3 months, my notebook was not working correctly due to uneven virus. So I did format my system by My Genuine operating system –windows 7 home premium CD (first time used). System has been formatted successfully by CD but when I do install window then expending files option are not complete successfully, it remains 0%. After 15 min, one error shows that:- “Please insert the CD/DVD in drive G”.
                                Sir I have also tried to install windows with another new Genuine CD of my friend but problem is same. Then I have talked to dell technical support centre. I have Debug the system according to support centre but after even that they are unable to solve my problem and problem persist same. They say that your genuine window CD is not working properly. They are saying to send another Genuine CD but I have not received yet.
                                Sir, I ask you that how can send dell worst windows CD with my notebook. How can I believe on Dell for already installed any other hardware/software that they shall be installed original.
                                Sir, my system has been totally dead from past 20 days. System is very needful for my daily life and I am suffering from 20days. Please suggest solving my problem under warranty.

                                  I have a Dell Vostro Laptop which was having some problem relating to system getting heated up.I showed at the Kolkata Dell Service Centre where I had to pay around 1400 for complete checking of the system. Post this I was told that the Fan,Cooling Pad etc have to be replaced.When asked for whether they can provide the same separately they kept insisting that I have to extend AMC which will cost me 6k+ Through a friend of mine I got the same crosschecked with a local guy who deals in laptops. He checked the same for free and confirmed that there is no problem and that no replacement is reqd. I was very surprised how these service centres are actually trying to fool customers like this..

                                    I ordered a laptop battery on the 14/07/10 and i still havent recieved it. i have called the company alot of times and they say it will reach in the next 5 working day and its been over a month now and i still havent got it. The person who was attending me gave me her direct line number and she never answers it. And now i just want the company to give my money back as it is not at all a satisfactory service.

                                      (01) The Complainant has been receiving numerous E-mails, offers from i.e Dell Products regularly as a prospective possible customer due to recession, declining Sales and/or might be struggling to dispose their dumped stock by their promotional offers.

                                      (02) The Comaplainant by Internet receipt Number GB[protected] Dated. 29th August 2009 placed an order and it was confirmed by the Defendant on 31st August-2009. In view of the offer received on e-mail, the Claimant wanted to change the product and contacted the Defendant.

                                      (03) The Complainant has phoned to Defendant on a specific number tried to contact the customer services to replace the Products , the specific telephone number to talk with customer service, is very costly and it’s a profit sharing telephone line to gain Defendant Dell Products, it deliberately transfers the line from UK to India.

                                      Complainant on Thursday, 3rd September 2009, has called 4 times and each time they put Claimant on hold, after nearly 2 Hrs ultimately in 4th final attempt, Claimant got through but protested of illegal withholding for no reason, because they wish that the customer discontinue the call and the last executive, who has summarised the conversation said that “The Dell Products, Manager will call you(Complainant ) to resolve your complaint regarding your cost for loss of time and cost of the telephone call charges.”

                                      My issue is with the out-sourced Dell customer support process that not only takes many minutes to navigate, but yields nothing but phone transfers. The first round of customer no-service resulted in over 4-8 transfers and eventually a lost connection. For the second round, Complainant again called the Customer Services and had to endure 6 transfers. Each time a new person would come to the phone and each time the same information had to be provided (order no. Etc.) it is absolutely evident to Complainant that (Dell products Ltd) has a strategy of making customer service so difficult that it is impossible to ever return goods or anything they messed up.

                                      The aforesaid experience has no words to express the humiliation felt at the unwanted fraudulent way of transferring the UK calls to India without being conveyed to the consumers is similar to the Supreme Court findings against Dell Inc.

                                      (04) The Complainant has been greatly insulted, humiliated by false deceptive promises made by Dell and had to wait for the calls on many occasions turn down by specific timings, therefore ask for the compensation for waste of time.

                                      (06) The Complainant has sent an e-mail thereafter. Rather than changing the product Complainant has canceled the order finally due to unethical business behaviour of Dell customer service. The Complainant due to vigorous mental tension, misbehaviour of customer services of Dell later on within the set time as per Consumer Protection (Distance selling) regulation 2000 Act cancelled the order which was accepted by Dell and thought the matter has been closed once for all.

                                      BREACH OF DUTY CASES (negligence, deficient professional services and the like)

                                      What is said by the Complainant was done negligently by the Dell / Breach of terms ;

                                      (07) The Dell has supplied the computer without any confirmed order, concurrence or as accepted cancelled order. and later used the complainant’s, debit card account. This is a direct breach / violation of law which states the Consumer Protection (Distance selling) regulation 2000 Act.

                                      The case pending before county court.
