I am constraint to write this email only just because of non-support of your technical assistants, managers and customer care in connection of above Laptop / Notebook. It is to inform you that I had purchased a Dell Laptop vide its Model INSPIRON N 4010 and Service Tag No. 3KW46BS through the Invoice No. 5970 Dated: 06.08.2010 from M/s Sciko KGGCO, 2063/39, Naiwala, Krol Bag, New Delhi-5.

It is to further inform you that since the date of the purchasing of the above said Laptop I am not able operate smoothly just because of its non-working condition which is furnished as follows for your further needful:-

1. Very-Very slow processing of system
2. System hanging problems
3. Keys not working
4. Blue tooth problem
5. Vedios are not play properly
Further to inform you that in the above connection I had spoken to your different Technical Assistants, Manager(s) and Customer Care Executives vig. Mr. Deepak, Ms. Grace, Mr. Naveen, Mr. Prashakh, Mr. Saroj and Mr. Sumit on[protected] several times on different dates. Mr. Prakashakh had diagnosed the entire software but problems in the above Laptop has not yet been resolved. One of your Technical Assistant Mr. Saroj Sinha wanted to diagnose the same problem again on 17.09.2010 after requesting for looking after the hardware problems in the above Laptop as the same had already been done by Mr. Prakshakh, Technical Assistant but he clearly denied to do the same and also he suggested that the same would be chargeable only. After that, I had approached to Mr. Sumit Kankal, Manager and he was also interested to diagnose the software after explaining the above episode

    CASE HISTORY:
    " I 'Sushant Singh Parihar' purchased my laptop (Dell Inspiron 15-R N-5010, service tag no.: 85846BS) on 16th of July 2010. But due to some manufacturing defect which was divulged after the purchase, I locked the complain for whole unit replacement (complain no. 4397714) on (next day) July 17th -2010.
    ("DEFECT WAS:
    My battery was not charging at all but the operating interface was responding in such a manner that it appeared like battery was charging. It was divulged after 12 hours of recommended charging that there is a problem as the charge of the battery remained same after charging for so long. Next day in the when they (suppliers) checked my laptop we found that both the charger and the battery are working in a sound condition when plugged in other laptops of same model together. The defect was somewhere in the laptop. Therefore, the defect was so hidden that it couldn't have been detected by any customer.")

    After lodging the complain my laptop got picked up by DELL on July 30th -2010. Since then till now September 29th 2010 ( more than 2 months for the day locked the complain) I am still waiting for the replacement. Within the mean time I was highly misguided and misinformed by the information given by the company.


    BEFORE PICKUP OF FAULTY UNIT:
    They sent a pickup declaration and requested the dealer to sign and send it back to them. Afterward they told me on phone that I have to take the replacement form the dealer after the pickup.I didn't make complain through the dealer. I asked them about any kind conformation from their side for this procedure so that situation should be clear between dealer and me. But they assured me that there will not be any problem like that.

    AFTER THE PICKUP:
    when I asked the dealer for the replacement, the dealer simply said that, as he didn't possess any information about responsibility of him for providing replacement or any credit note given by the company (DELL), so he couldn't give me the replacement by himself. After that here it began an era of callings form my end to DELL's replacement department, customer care department, etc. and no fruitful response ever came from their end.

    POOR GUIDANCE AND MISGUIDANCE:
    During my continuous efforts (I can't even calculate how many calls I have made) to retrieve the information form their end they used to put me on long holds and sometimes when they appeared to be fail to provide me the correct information they simply used to put me on loop of their calling service to avoid me.Because in that case I had to start conversation with someone else. In my case they always had an excuse that only replacement department could satisfy my query and the replacement dept. never picked my phone up.

    WRONG INFORMATION:

    WRONG ORDER NO. -1 FOR REPLACEMENT. :
    More than after 1 month someone form the customer care gave me an order no.:[protected], and they told me that this order would be received by Comexel technologies Dehradun (while my dealer is Comexel technologies Kanpur) on or before 8th of September and from their I had to receive it. I argued them about the delivery address and submitted my suspicion about the order. But they simply denied to change the delivery address and told me that this is my order no. and I have to take it from Dehradun. Finally it was received by any other person (named Vipin) on September 9th -2010 and in response of this they simply told me that I was given the wrong order no.. I even have asked for refund but they didn't listen.

    WRONG ORDER NO. -2 FOR REPLACEMENT.:
    Based on the On Monday September 13th 2010, I had telephonic conversation with replacement deptt. I was convinced by the head the department, Maria Nirmala, that, I will be getting the order locked on and will be receiving the quotation for my replacement on the very day (September 13th 2010). They also told me that, I will be getting my replacement within 6 to 7 day starting for September 13th 2010. But it didn't happened at all.
    On September 19th 2010 they sent me the mail, in which it was written by Maria Nirmala that my order no. is[protected] and Way bill no.: [protected] but the destination mentioned by her was Panvel. While I Sushant Singh Parihar is a resident of Allahabad and my dealer is Comexel technologies Kanpur as was also told on the telephonic conversation we had on September 13th 2010. Instead of delivering it to me it got delivered to a person named Priti in Panvel. This was the second time the company told me an order no. and delivered to somebody else.

    Till now I haven't received my laptop.

    I can't tell how much I have been stressed by this mishandling of my case. I am a B.tech 3rd year student studying in M.M.M. Engineering College Gorakhpur away from my home which is in Allahabad. I had too much expectation from this laptop. I had to make projects and seminar presentations on the computer and engineering studies requires a lot of online assistance. The purpose of this laptop in this semester for my studies is almost finished. I had enough inconvenience in this semester thanks to DELL Support.

    Please do something to make my replacement to be done.

    After lodging the complain my laptop got picked up by DELL on sep 10 -2010. Since then till now october 08 2010 ( more than 2 months for the day locked the complain) I am still waiting for the replacement.     dell is very fuddu company, never purchase anything of company dell. [censored] of dell. i tell you all. i[censored] want to buy a laptop. prefer to HP not dell...
    with the dell you face many problem like speaker problem, motherboard problem, dvd writer problem, touchpad problem, screen problem. you may found problem in everything of laptop. Dell provide us old laptop those are replacing by other. They use used component for assemble a laptop. so, i suggest u buy a laptop of any company but not dell.

      i am an engineering student and i use to contact dell customer care centre daily but they do'nt provide me any sufficient information regarding my order status. as i have submitted complete money in advance then why are they not extending the warranty. my last hope is from to you, please help me as much as you can...

        I have already written a request like this before to dell, sent several emails and made 2 phone calls. I am yet to get this simple issue resolved. I am very sorry that I bought from dell.

        The laptop which I bought came with Microsoft Office Starter edition. But I have not been sent the product key for it yet, so I am not able to use it. When I open it, I am asked for the product key.

        I had sent a SECOND request (this is THIRD) through a similar online form from this same website. I got a reply mail from Veena_M1, who called herself as Customer Care Specialist from the email id : [protected]@dell.com(email subject : Re: Customer Service (OutstandingIssue) (KMM12281197I23241L0KM)). I replied to the email with detailed description about my problem with the SCREENSHOT of the window which asked for the product key(attached here). Till now I have got no response.

        I also contacted Mr Valmiki Gowda who was my laptop sales person regarding this. He called me yesterday and said the Microsoft Office version which they have installed in my computer is not a fully usable version, the starter edition is a trial version. But the order confirmation document which I received just states that it is : "Microsoft(R) Office 2010 OEM Installation", it does not state it is a trial version or a partial version. When I searched for Microsoft website(http://www.office.microsoft.com/en-us/starter/), it says "Office Starter is not trial software — you can continue to use it as long as you need.". He also said I cannot use the Office version to create documents, it can be used only to view documents (for which Microsoft actually offers a free software pack called office viewers). I tried to explain all this to him, but no use. He was adamant and he proved that he is a sales guy and he asked me to pay an amount of Rs.2000+ to buy the ms office software from them.

        This morning I made my second call to Dell, 2 people took the call in succession and asked for details which I provided. They then said their technical support person will talk to me. A voice kept saying "please wait", no one took the call for 15 minutes, I had no other option but to drop the call and go away.

        Please suggest me a way in which issue could be resolved.

          it is stated that I have purchased a Dell studio 1558 notebook Lap Top -OCQT S541031IN8 R/O order No 0492734 Tax Invoice No. 00399929, service Tag No. DK7V4BS, express service code [protected], Model No PP39L, purchase on Invoice dated 27.01.2010 from your company.
          But it is regretted to say that the Lap Top is not working satisfactorily since it is purchase either due to manufacturing defect or other defect of Lap Top. The fault comes frequently again and again in Lap Top. Frequent maintenance has caused disappearance of original look of Lap top. I have approached your service centre in NOIDA so many times and during the last three months this laptop was lying with your service centre for repair.

          I had visited your service centre about 10 times in the last 3 motnhs and after that my laptop is still not working satisfactorily. The details of fault observed and restored to your company are as under.

            hello..this is complaint against dell India, i had booked my studio 15 laptop last month on 18th august 2010 and company told dat within 15 working days it will be delivered , now it has passed almost 1 months still the laptops is not delivered against paying the home delivery charges in cash. also wen contact the consumer care of dell no correct information were not given abt above mentioned laptop.wen repeated contacting i came to know company staff has put the incorrect pin code no of my address and think this is company complete negligence, almost after 1 month and 7 days it still not delivered.
            seriously take a strict against against the dell india in its negligence over the whole matter, and its no reply behavior. company has no step 2 step information about the laptop being delivered. if dey r inefficient in delivering the order, they shud not charge such heavy charges for delivery..if the service provided is so bad, they shud refund the money back to consumer. since consumer cant be made to wait for such a along tme after payment of deliver has been made to th earliest
            i have ordered a dell lap top on[protected] and estimeated delivery date is 29 the Nov..but still if i check my order status on there site, it is shown as manufacturing complete.if i cal customer person and sales person they are saying it is due to wrong down load.i dontno how much time wil it take to re download the correct one..when i cal customer service and ask them to transfer it to sales department till 11.30 am there is no one...

            i hope i wil get my lap top soon

              I am using DELL laptop whose battery charger needed replacement. When I contacted DELL India Pvt. Ltd. , Bangalore , I was informed by Mr. Kishore Subramany, India Consumer Support Specialist that the price of the battery charge was Rs. 1550 and had to be paid in advance. I placed an order along with advance on July 28th. I was promised delivery within 3-4 weeks. In the past three weeks my efforts to get in touch with the company was in vain. I have not received any response to our repeated queries, emails regarding the status of my order.

              Even after 7 weeks I am still waiting for the delivery of the battery charger.
              I am using Dell laptop whose battery adaptor needed replacement. I contacted DELL India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. Mr. Kishore Subramany, India Consumer Support Specialist of Dell informed me to pay Rs.1550 in advance and delivery was promised within 3-4 weeks. I placed the order along with advance payment on July 28, 2010. Till now, even after more than 7 weeks, I have not received the adpator nor I have been informed as to when , if at all, it will be delivered.

                i ordered a laptop from your esteemed company on 26 Aug 2010 from Nehru Place Company Office.
                i paid the full amount of 60,000 rupees at the time
                after 5 days on 31 Aug i get a call asking me to verify my credit card number. it is difficult to describe my frustration that after five days of getting the complete payment someone is still verifying the credit card!! had this been a parallel process, it was understandable. by parallel i mean, had the order been sent to the manufacturing deptt and on the other hand this verification was processed simultaneously [because payment is already there with you since 26th Aug] but this was not done. so i am sure the order would not have gone till 02 Sep..

                . anyhow now this avoidable delay was not the end of it.

                i was told that i can expect my laptop in 10-14 days but on the site it is showing 29 Sep 2010 as the expected date. on enquiry from your toll free number i am told that some parts are to come from outside so the delay. some talk of compensating me by giving me a bluetooth mouse was made...

                my request to you is.. do you think a delay of 33 days is acceptable especially in todays world of 'instant' gratification? i want to add here that i had actually wanted the 1080p screen but when i was placing my order i could not get that option and i was told by the person taking the order that it must have become out of stock so it is not showing now...otherwise this option used to exist for Studio 15 series...

                so that implies that whatever i am ordering is available. with that logic taking 33 days to send my laptop that too to capital of india is simply not done..certainly not from Dell atleast!

                i request that you please consider that my money is blocked for 33 days [actual number of days will be calculated on receipt of laptop] and the amount of mental tension and waiting involved on me. with this in mind i am sure offering a mouse will not suffice...

                i have spoken to Ms Akanksha at 1700h on 20 Sep 2010 re: cancellation of this order
                she was asking me reason for cancellation for which you can note down the following
                1. inordinate and unwarranted delay of order which was originally placed on 26 Aug 2010 [irn number IN[protected]] and for which they are now claiming 13 Oct 2010 as delivery estimate.
                2. changing of specification without informing me-- the reason i had ordered was backlit keyboard which is not being provided in this New order.

                the ref number she gave me was 7798154
                i was told that i have to write to you to confirm this cancellation
                kindly revert with the confirmation that my order has been cancelled and when can i get my money back

                Mr Lohit shankar who has given me tel no[protected] did not pick up the phone after repeated attempts to call him.

                  even twice i talked to their managers they are all *******s...i dont want to use the words ...........worst every laptop is dell.......i[censored] r a working professional it the worst for u...............
                  i received the laptop via corier i dont know what they provide me whether a new one or a repaired one....
                  .i doubt.........my dear friends i am suffering from this... i don't want u to suffer from the same

                  I absolutely agree with the post the customer care service is [censored]. i placed the order on 6th-10-10 next day the sales person called me "Kali Bhattacharya" i made payment through the Demand Draft and couriered it. the courier went to destination on 8-10-10 after few days the sales person calls me and says the DD is bounced now tell any one of you ever heard of this before then i went to bank manager and told him the above experience then he told me that it is impossible that a "DD could be bounced" next day i emailed dell about this but their is no response then i have to cancel the DD by paying 400/- to the bond papers and applications to HDFC and after few days that [censored] manager calls me and says that your DD is lost by our department now tell me this how an MNC works. and their is no explanation from the sales department. now i am thinking of going to the consumer forum for all this . as far as the build quality of dell is the worst can't even compare that to even compaq after all this experience i went for HP pavalion DV6 and there is no comparison between the build quality of HP and Dell

                    i have purchase dell laptop and it was defective as dell admitted this and replacement had to be done but after taking the laptop they are delaying in providing me the laptop back and most important part is dealer from which i purchase it is very very rude in giving information, my main complaint is for him as he talks in a rude and cheap way which is not at all ethical, that really hurts a consumer. dealer name is infoware technomart allahabad uttar pradesh. i hope appropriate action will be taken in this matter.

                      I purchased a Dell N5010 Inspiron 15R laptop in June, 2010 at Himayatnagar, Hyderabad. It had some problem with the hard disk as told by one of their customer care executives and dell service replaced my hard disk in July 2010. Now again my laptop is not working and the problem persists with more defects in my laptop like screen defect, etc. I have been trying to call up Dell for the last 3 weeks but there was no response.

                        I purchased a new laptop from a dell dealer - outshiny on new bel road on 1st august 2010. While purchasing he said that there would be a 15 months subscription for the anti virus included in the amount. But after 15 days i realise that the subscription given is only for 30 days.

                        Last 4 days everyday I am calling dell helpline and complaining but there is no response so far, Kindly advice what measure should be taken.

                          I purchased Dell Laptop inspiron 14R in Jul 10, order number 0631696, service tag CYW46BS. There was an accidental crack on the display on 09 Sep 10 . I spoke to customer care vide SER # [protected]. One Mr Shivam quoted apprx Rs. 18000/- for an accidental cover for 2 yr and display replacement. However subsequent quote of Rs 18875 was for 1 yr accidental cover and the display replacement was sent by him on e-mail. My reply mail asking breakup of cost on 10 Sep has not been replied by DELL. Another customer care rep ([protected]@Dell.com) called me up on 14 Sep and informed that the 1 yr accidental cover and display replacement would cost aprx Rs 12000 in lieu of Rs 18875 quoted earlier. On my query he also said that replacement of display through this route would take only 3-4 days and if I don't take the accidental cover warranty, the cost of display replacement will remain apprx Rs.[protected] and it will take over 04 wks for the replacement of display. I requested him to mail these quotes, which has not been done till now.

                          I consider this a case of cheating and blackmail. I want to know, if it is a Dell policy to replace parts only if there is an accident cover. If so Why did company not tell me at purchase time that repairs are not welcome without accidental cover. I also want to know that what kind of company is it which tells that a display replacement will take over 04 weeks. My laptop is lying defective since 6 days and there is no response from customer care. Pse resolve

                          Dell Inspiron 14R — Ordered for Red hot Blue!!

                          I ordered (order no.0610205) two Dell Inspiron Laptop 14 R on 21st May and I got the delivery on 12th June 2010. But although I ordered for two laptops, one in Peacock Blue and the other in Tomato Red (I am having the supporting document with me), I received both of them as Peacock Blue. Till that time to present day, I have been only harassed by your local sales person @ Dell Exclusive Store ( 52/B, Kodambakkam High Road, Nungambakkam,Chennai-600034) without any kind of serious help.

                          I want to specially epmhasize Mr.RajKumar whose way of dealing with my problem, which was not because of my fault from the beginning (If you don't take opting for Dell as a fault off course),was nothing less than a serious harassment.He kept on telling me that everything was because of my mistake although I have enough evidence against that statement to prove my case in any Consumer court.
                          I called to the customer care number[protected] atleast 100 times, but they kept transferring my call to n-number of departments with no one at the end to answer anything.

                                Dell Desktop — NO SERVICE

                                I purchased the dell inspiorn 19 desktop in june 2010 there are some technical issue in my desktop on 20.09.10 and on the same day i register a complaint through dell customer care. my case no.is 5414650 dated 20/9/2010 and till now it is pending. Moreover there is no communication from any of dell representative. I don't know why have they taken my mobile no. or alternate mobile no. and my e-mail id when they wee not supposed to contact me? While i've enquired five times at my own cost.
                                When i enquired on 06.10.2010 they told me that today(on 6th oct) my case is going to be handle positively and they gave me the engineer's mobile no. also but when i contacted to the engineer (Mr. Ansar) at 6.00 p.m on the same day. He told me that my complaint is going to be handle by another engineer Mr. Sukhdev then i asked Mr. Sukhdev and he told me that he can not come today and told me that another engineer Mr Ramveer will come tomarrow & my complaint will be deal positively. Today when I contacted to Mr Ramveer he told me that he will come in the evening but When he did not come in the evening then I ringed Mr Ramveer but he did not attend my phone. Then i called to the senior person of all these persons at 7.00 P.M enquiring about the status of my complaint & asked him whether he is a dell engineer or not then he told me that he is working with wipro. Now its enough because almost 20 days has already gone and I could not use my system and i'm suffering a lot just b,caz of this type of responce which i'm getting from dell officials.

                                  I did such a big mistake when I order a DELL laptop,I ordered a laptop on Aug 11,2010 and till date it is not delivered and they committed to deliver it with in 7 to 10 days and naw its an about a month.I have to follow up on my delivery status many a times but they didn't bother to call once.when ever I used to call at no [protected] Mr.Raju and at no [protected] Miss Gaytri they alway used to tell me that it going to deliver with in two to three days.I don't beleive call them once and they give the same reply.
                                  I think Dell must wind up there business from India.

                                  MY PROBLEM DIDNT GOT RESOLVED. AND I CALLED 6 TIMES, 3 TIMES THEY TOLD THEY CANT HERE ME AND THEN 3 TIMES THEY RECIEVED AND PUT ME ON HOLD AND DISCONNECTED THE CALL TWISE. ON THIRD TIME I TOLD THE LADY NOT TO DISCONNECT THE CALL AND SHE PUT ME ON HOLD AND DIDNT RESPOND EVEN AFTER 30 MINUTE.
                                  IF YOU PEOPLE NOT GOING TO RESOLVE THIS MEANS I WILL LEDGE CASE IN CUSTOMER COURT REGARDING THIS. I HAVE MY EXAMS TOMORROW AND THEY WASTED MORE THAN AN HOUR OF MINE.
                                  I WONT CALL NEXT TIME I WILL JUST GO TO COURT.

                                    I went to the Dell service center to get my out of warranty laptop serviced. I experienced a nightmare interacting with technicians who seemed to be more than interested in making me sell my laptop rather than addressing my issues concerning the laptop. The best part was when the security personnel who has handling many customers seemed to be more interested in making me an offer for the laptop. He asked to sell the laptop for Rs 5000/- as he felt it did not make sense to purchase an extended warranty.

                                    When i decided that it wasn't worth talking to these people who were of little use to me as a customer. I declined the offer politely and preferred to take it back home, suddenly another supervisor offered to pay little more than what was earlier offered. I again declined and advised to take it back home. Immediately the person who was inspecting my laptop asked me to pay him Rs 500/- and take the laptop. It was surprised by that and enquired, if Dell charged customers even when the issues was not fixed. He advised me that Dell charges Rs 1300 for laptop service, even if it meant just visual inspection. It really was not in a mood to talk to them and paid the requested money. When i asked him for a bill, he advised that it would be sent to my place after a month. I told him that he did not have my details to send it across, then he said that they would contact me over the phone and send it through Dell courier.
                                    He said either i could pay by cash or credit card, irrespective of the method of payment invoice will be sent only after a month.

                                    Well, it was a clear case of ripping a customer but i was helpless as i was in a hurry as i had an appointment with a dentist and was getting late. I hope someone from Dell notices this and sorts their service point operations. It was such an irony that a company like Dell did not have a CRM in place to enter customer details and printout invoices. The moment i entered the service center, a grumpy & impatient receptionist after looking at the number of people waiting in the queue, gave me a book and pen to write down my details and wait for my turn.

                                    I am not surprised that Dell's new initiative to retain its customers after loosing the top mantle to HP has failed. I'm not sure if this new sustainable initiative will work, if it does not have any control over the inefficient customer service process. The technicians will happily pocket money while the customers will slip out.

                                    I WILL NEVER BUY A DELL PRODUCT AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

                                      I bought a dell laptop 1563 worth around 34000 in feb 2010. My motherboard has been replaced twice by dell.
                                      Then tochpad has been repalced once and powerbutton panel has also been replaced. I have faced all these replacements with in a month. Now again my touchpad is not working. I register my complaint to dell care regarding the comlete replacemt of my system on 20th august 2010. They admitted my request and gave me surity of the replacement. But it has been around 20 days that i havnt got any feedback from the dell. Whenever i call the dellcare they transfer my call to the replacemt department and after waiting for 15 to 30 mins it get disconnected. I have been trying this since last 15 days. They sent me the documents to signed by me. So i have already signed those documents and mailed them back, but no reply. I am not able to understand to whom to contact regarding this issue.

                                      hi dear, here is 100% same case, my laptop is waiting for replacement but nobody listens. i m going to file a case against dell. i would like to aware all the indians to not to buy any dell product.

                                        I had booked a Dell laptop in Mumbai, India, on August 1, 2010 from CROMA STORE, Bandra, Mumbai, India. (receipt No.5331 dated August 1, 2010)

                                        I regret to inform you that to date I have still not received my Laptop after having written several e-mails and phone calls to Dell India. The answer I get is it will be delivered tomorrow, but that tomorrow never comes.


                                        The customer sales person Mr. Santhosh Francis is never available on his phone and the phone always goes on his voicemail.
                                        I have called him twice and left a message but he has not bothered to reply me. (His Tel No. +[protected]

                                        I request you to kindly take up my case with the concerned person in India and please let me know when I should be receiving my Dell Laptop.

                                        Laptop finally received from the company. My Laptop was stolen from courier. Company has sent me the Laptop. Dell company has lived upto its name. Thank you Dell.
