My VC No. is[protected]. I have bought a DISHTV connection two months back with a GLOD cricket
plan (Rs 225 PM) I paid 3 months rental in advance. However, the
tech-support/service team which installed it gave me only 212 channels
whereas I was eligible for 270 channels (the fact came to my knowledge
when I tried to watch StarNews and it was mssing). Upon contact with
customer care they informed me as if I have some problem related to
antenna alignment. next day a technical boy appeared and after 1/2 an
hr. struggle informed my wife that he wants to take back my STB. As I
was in office at that time (He came with out any prior appointment and
information) and he was not having any Id or visitng card, I advised
my spouse to not to hand over STB to an unidentified man. I contacted
customer care again to find that according to their records my problem
was rectified as it was related to antenna alignment only. I told them
the whole stroy again and they sent me a schedule of visit of executive
on 28/5/11. After 5 minutes I got a call from some Mr Dharmendra who
claimed to be the head of your service centre at greater noida. he
dictated me me to bring my STB to his office as his executive will not
visit again. I tried hard to make him understand my issues, he simply
told me again and again that his manpower cost is more important than
a satisfactory customer issue redress. I pleaded to pay for the visit
of the executive, even then he refuse and said I may go to the
consumer forum, and also informed me that STB was not manufactured by
him or DISHTV. I again contacted CC and they assured me to send some
executive soon. Luckily, now again Executive (name hidden intentionally) appeared at my door and he
brought back my STB and CARD with a promise that it may take 3-4 days
if my STB repaired. However, if it is to be replaced with anew one, it
may take a long time.

Now, my issue is, I have paid for 270 channels, but could enjoy only
210 odd ones for 2 months and now I will again be able to enjoy my
DISHTV after a period still unknown to me (it appears it may take
atleast a week or more). The service people are dictating terms to
customers. In my honest opinion, I paid DISHTV for entertainment and
it has turned out to be regular harassment to me and my family. I
have not received the value for the money I have paid to you. The
Person (mr Abbas) who took away my STB had no I-card, even the
receiving which I had insistingly taken form him, is given on a
visiting card of some Mr Titto of Chirag Infotech (on the reverse of somebody else'
v-card I have received the receiving). I myself have v-cards off many
other business managers, can I use the reverse of these to give
receipts??? or these predict that I belong to the same company/org.??

Further my name has not been corrected even though I have spoken to
CC executives so many times during the last 7 days.

My hubme appeal to DISH TV authorities ( Kind Attn: Mr Sandeep Tiwari) Kindly look in to the matter seriously and redress my problem or else
I may not be interested to continue your services and my last recourse
will be the Consumer Protection forum.

    i had bought a Dish TV tru HD on 24th march 2011 for Rs 3500/-. and i got the wrong information about the monthly tariff's form the local dealer.till one week i struggled a lot with technical difficulties, after that on 20th april i realised and shocked to know that i need to pay 450 per month for my so called HD connection, and i recharged. without my concern during the online recharge they had levied some upgrade for my package and increased the price to 550 per month which is very abnormal and what I feel is extortion by dishtv people, out of frustration now i have packed the box and kept it aside , kindly help me as i dont need a HD pack, i need a south silver pack which is economical which they are not doing it whereas other DTH service providers like airtel are offering the same with HD setup box. i consider myself as being cheated by the fraudulent company known as zee dishtv. kindly help me to alleviate my situation and atleast recover my hard earned money lost in this process. this is my sincere request to other dth aspirants not to go for dish tv, as they are looters

      i recharged my dishtv account through online sbi. but my money deducted and my account has not been recharged and also money is not refunded in my account within more that two month of transaction. dishtv customer care is telling we not received payment it is bank's fault and bank manager is telling i cant do any thing for this online transaction.

      many times i talked to dishtv customer care and bank manager . also i gave application along with dishtv's mail copy to bank two week earlier but problem has not resolved.

      plsz help me.

          Hi,
          After being complaining regularly for more then 20 days the problem
          remains as it is and no one is taking the initiative to solve the
          problems.

          Problem started on 3rd May 2011 regarding recharge your card but my
          validity is till 6th June 2011. on 4th May 2011 I got the error 201
          (pairing problem) and could not see the paid channels. The error was
          all of a sudden displayed while watching movie. I called up the toll
          free number given on the screen and also SMS was sent to 57575. Spoke
          to the executive Mr.Amit, he suggested us to take the setup box with
          VC card to the nearest dealer and he will solve the problem. The
          dealer could not do anything and said that he will send a mail to the
          customer care and get back to you. I was waiting for the reply from Dishtv on 4th May but???? They never turned back...
          After this the second day i.e on 5th May 2011 again I called your
          customer care and spoke to Mr.Rahul and Mr. Saif (Supervisor)
          complaint No. 58467841 was and said will be solved within 24 hrs.
          Again next day till 11th May2011 we spoke to various executives giving
          the same information, same complaint, same discussion with every
          executive. This was frustrating for us,but no one came with proper
          solution only gave the commitments.

          Second complaint no. 58612116 dated 07/05/2011. To tell you a joke is,
          I received SMS twice after each complaint stating " Your dishtv
          complaint no:58467841 / 58612116 is resolved. We hope you are
          satisfied with the resolution. Incase of any concern, call on
          [protected] with you com" without solving the problem you have sent
          such message and that too without any cross verification with the
          customer. when spoke to your people again your people they only say "
          So Sir " will look into the matter. What non sence people you all are.
          You trouble the customer for 15 days and still you want that customer
          should not shout, use harsh/hard language. How do you aspect that the
          customer should still speak in polite way.

          Now your people say that the setup box no. is changed. I want to ask
          you people how it has been changed now for i am using this for last 3
          years. I have not changed the VC care nor the Setup Box. I have the
          receipt given to me at the time of installation in the year 2008 and
          on that also the Setup Box no is 0860ABF23DS73906 ( My original STB
          No. which is mentioned on the receipt, and behind the setup Box
          sticker).

          There is a problem with you software which is updated recently. This
          might by at the time of importing the old data to current data.

          From 3rd may 2011 to 11th May 2011 the executives i have spoken to and
          yet till today the problem is not solved and you executives have not
          even verified whether the problem is solved or not.

          dealer
          05/05/2011 Mr. Rahul/Mr.Saif Complaint No.:58467841 Got SMS
          reply against the complaint: " Your dishtv complaint no:58467841 is resolved. We hope you are satisfied with the resolution. Incase of any concern, call on [protected] with you com..

          06/05/2011 Mr Amit (Sr.Exe) Will Send the Technical person
          (Technical person did not turnup that day but visited on Sunday07/05/2011. The person just checked the VC.NO. and STB NO. and saidthe problem will be solved till monday morning before 11.00 am, but
          still the solutions)

          07/05/2011 Mr. Sudeep/Mr.Prashant Complaint No.:58612116
          Got SMS reply against the complaint: " Your dishtv complaint no: 58612116 is resolved. We hope you are satisfied with the resolution. Incase of any concern, call on [protected] with you com.

          09/05/2011 Mr. Anthony / Sunny Same old question as asked by all
          (Regional Office) those people mentioned above but no
          proper reply or solution.
          Mr. Sunny :said we cannot do it from our said this
          call will be transferred to the customer
          care center.

          09/05/2011 Mr. Amit (Noida) Same commitment but no solution

          11/05/2011 Miss. Sariu / Mr. Hitesh I asked her to transfer me to your senior manager so she transfered me to Hitesh stating that he is a Floor Manager,
          but after taking to him i got to know that he was Sr. Exe. again fooling me/customer stating that he is a Floor Manager. Same old story discussed with Hitesh and he said that he will personally look into the matter and solve the problem.

          On 12/05/2011 Mr. Hitesh Called up again to verify the VC and STB No. and till today no action on the complaints.

          These people gave me the commitment that the problem will be solved within 48hrs and what ever lost will be reimbursed. i.e. till the problem is not solved we will extend your validity and i don't know that will happen.

          If these people do not take immediate action on this mail and solve my problem i have to search for legal option, where few people earlier from Dishtv customer care have said, you are open to go to legal action we don't mind. The answers are such that it makes customer angry.

          These all things are already done for last 20 days. Now I want the
          solution and action. I should be able to see all the channels and you
          should reimburse my losses.

          Last i spoke to Mr. Rakesh Kumar who had asked me to send SAF receipt copy which I have already sent but still no reply nor any progress in service.

          Waiting for your immediate reply and action against this complaint in
          writing. I have sent Distve customer care REMINDERS 4 TIMES BUT STILL THE ACTION IS NOT TAKEN AND THE PROBLEM IS THE SAME.

            Dear Sir/ Madam,

            With deep anguish and disgust I am writing here that the entire process of DISH TV New Connection is so cumbersome, lengthy and interdependent on so many persons/ representatives at various stages that the actual execution of new connection is delayed by days together and at the same time frustrate the new connection to its hilt.

            I am residing in Sector-9 Rohini, Delhi and had requested for new Dish TV Connection (Platinum package)through internet on 18.5.2011. Immediately there were messages on my mobile with 'Thanks for subscribing Dish TV connection'. Within couple of hours M/s S. A. Telecom representative - Mr. Ashok (Mob[protected]) descended at my residence and provided Activation Kit. He also collectedRs. 1040/- from my residence with the promise that by 19.5.2011, the installation would be completed. However, till today, i.e. 21.5.2011 (12 noon) nobody had turned up at my residence inspite of number of reminders for the new connection. Therefore, I felt with deep anguish to write to you.

            It requires to take up corrective measures, immediately at Dish TV (Zee Network) level, at Company (M/s S. A. Telecom) level and at regulatory level. Otherwise, people's confidence in service sector in India would not stand, which would be a big negative sign for the country's growth, development besides credibility of service providers from private sector. I hope an urgent redressal measure from the concerned ones.

              This is to inform you that i have mailed around 12 times and called several times for my plan change from platinum to pick by channel. Dish Tv representatives told me that you have to make you dish tv status active by recharging with Rs.200/- atleast and then u will get a call from our marketing team within 24 hrs . I recharged with the said amount on 15/5/2011, but no call has came to me from dish tv till date for conversion to pick by channel . This company is completely harrasing its old customers. I don't wan't to view all channels and i wan't to view the channels of my choice. If dishtv is displaying the facility of pick by channel on their site then they should react in stipulated time told, otherwise it is as good as harrasing the customer . My VC no. is [protected] My mobile no is [protected]. Kindly solve my grevience as soon as possible . Below mentioned is my conversation with dish tv since 8/5/2011.

My subscription has expired and now i am not able to view any channels. Please tell when will u call me and till what time i have to wait to view channels as per my choice.               This is the third time I am reminding that no call has come to me from your side. I am not able to view any channels as my subscription has expired. This is not at all appropriate service as you are having bulk of customers and you people are taking customers for granted. Yesterday Ms Divya Dua called me up and told that you will get call from pick by channel team by today. No call has come to me yet. You people can't harras customers like this. This will not put good impact on your image as you people are falling short of committment. Your Customer base can soon take deep leap downwards, if you continue to harras customers like this. Kindly give me the mail id of your higher authority as wellarge.

              This is to inform you that i have already recharged with rs.200/- yesterday and then put my request on pick by channel. Selected my channels as told by your representative mr santosh. Your system was not letting me rechage below rs 200/-. No call has come to me from your marketing team. You have sent me message that recharge is successful any your expiry date is 28/5/2011. What is this . Is your representative gonna call me after 28th may , So that i have to recharge again with same amount and you will again subscribe me for platinum pack. This is totally ridiculous behaviour on your part. You keep on harrasing the customer again and again. Why i should view all the channels when i had already put my request on pick by channel and u people can't take me for granted like this again and again. I wan't to complain against all your representatives Ms divya dua, mr santosh etc who are making fool of me again and again. Please mail me the mail id o[censored]r higher authorties as soon as possible.

                I had sent an application to surrender my Dish TV connection on 15th March 2011. I received a reply from that mentioning that your email has been forwarded to concern department & you get response with in 45 days.
                I regularly follow up with them over email & phone but they are not responding me. Not giving any reply.

                I have security deposit receipt with me. Can I know how I can take action on the company. On this website I am posting this same complaint on 2nd time. I am expecting some response on my complaint posting.

                Dish TV — Not refunding security deposit

                I had Taken DISH TV connection on : 1/2/2006
                VC Number: [protected]


                They have written in the receipt of security deposit that :

                “A sum of Rs 1590 towards interst free refundable security deposit refundable after three years from the date of activation subject to return of digital decoder SL NO[protected]B59032910 in proper working condition”

                but now they are not refunding the security amount: 1590

                Dish tv helpline misguided me a lot and wasted my time too by diverting me to dealers.

                This way dish tv harrashed me a lot.

                Finally Dish TV replied me that a company policy is changed and you will not get refund. In fact being a customer there is no intimation from dist tv regarding this change in policy

                      Dish TV executive to save there SLA they will close the request without solving the issue .. what a great service .. and no one monitor this .. this happen with me twice ..

                      on march 2010 i was having issue with setup box (reference is 40363807.) and which take one month to resolve anyway get a waver for a month.

                      And again on 7th April 2011 i have requested for reinstallation of setup box (Request no[protected]. today (10-May-2011) i came to know that my Request has been closed on 13th APRIL without solving the issue and without my knowledge. that was for reinstalling Setup box and the service was chargable 150/- but till now no one come to my place for the same.

                      I am surprised who your executive close the issue whitout solving and no one there to monitor the case ..

                      HOW YOU CAN BE SO CARELESS IF YOU CALL YOUR SELF TO BE NO.1 DTH COMPANY ..

                      can you please explain me why it is closed ??
                      and i need a valid point - why should i use Dish TV .

                      The Dish TV customer care is the worst ever I have dealt with. You are too lucky if you can talk to one of their executives even after 10 minutes of a call. Are there any standards of time taken by a customer care to respond in India?

                      And in addition to that, one has to bear useless advertisements in an intolerable voice. In frustration, one has to cut the call.

                      Above it, their website is so pathetic that it will not take one to recharge page on Mozilla. If you are not using IE7, you cannot make a payment through credit card.

                      Please do not take their services.

                      i faced inconvenience for 6 days,
                      from 20- 25 November, my DISH was not working


                      customer care is not qualified enough,
                      on 14 November. i told to downgrade my pack,
                      from 14 - 20 November, my Neo Pack, was off. which shouldn't be.
                      and on 20 Nov. instead of downgrading they terminate my account,

                      and for 6 days i was in deep trouble, no channels were working.
                      i emailed 20+ times...

                      i have record of all of them.

                      customer care said i need DISH antenna alignment and than said technical error in STB.

                      but that was all wrong , and problem was at their end,

                      all because of their wrong assumption i lost my 300 Rs, in DISH antenna alignment and STB checking.

                      i lost my 300 Rs and inconvenience for 6 days when DISH TV was totally off,

                      i have record of all email,

                      i have record of email where they said of technical error in STB.
                      and where CC suggested for DISH antenna alignment.

                      i told them, if proper action not taken than i will go to Consumer Court, Forum websites , and mention my case,

                      they did nothing.

                        i had recharged the dishtv smartcard no=[protected] on18th january 2010 by netbanking way of recharge it now.com by using my icici a/c for the recharge of rs 250/= billno [protected]. But on the spot message replied from there is "your recharge is not successfulled u will get ur money returned to ur a/c on today". After the message came it takes 3 days finished still the money has not come to my a/c. So u makes the solution for it

                          Complaint#1 dated 18th April.
                          Alignment Issue. Issue after numerous follow up closed on 27th April. Waiver was passed on 3rd May after infinite followups.
                          Complaint#2 dated 29th April.
                          Technician who visited on 27th April charged 300 Rs for replacing L&F despite being on maintanence contract and didnt give the receipt of the job done. His committment on giving the receipt next day hasnt come till date. Issue is still open since 29th April.
                          Complaint#3 dated 8th May.
                          My mobile no. which was RMN since inception suddenly became un-registered without my information today.


                          My observations in past long interactions with CC, Escalation Desk and Technicians (worst of all):
                          There is no inititiative in the customer care department for closing the issues.
                          Everytime, it is a harassment for the customer to keep following up on the complaints with absolute no ownership of escalation department and senior officer of customer care and technicians.
                          Technicians are totally corrupt who overcharge and never meet committment.

                          Everytime, I keep hearing of the TAT from CC as 24 hrs which keep shifting by 24 hours only when you give a reminder calls.

                            I have taken Dish TV connection in August 2011 and paid Rs 2490/- subscription for 1 Year at B S Electronics and communications agency Nandyala, Kurnool District .But I have been asked to recharge and services have been terminated on 7 May 2011. set of box no:1056ABF22Ds26804

                            This is a loot and I want to file a case if it is not restored in a day.
                            When I contacted the concerned person Mob No:-[protected], he has asked me to contact dealer and has given his mobile No: [protected]. I at least called up 14 times and I am getting it as not reachable.

                            Is it not fit case for booking a case in consumer forum against the dealer? I have already made a complaint and the no is :58640381

                                  This is to everyone's attention DISH TV 35 HD Channels is really a fraud, people do not get into this Prey. Here is the face I had purchased a LED TV for which i wanted better viewing, so as per the media ads and advertisements I had purchased the subscription in March 2011 with Dish TC tru HD 35 channels in HD.
                                  I had subscribed for Platinum North (RS 325/-)+ True HD base back (RS 150/-) +A la carte pack (RS.100/-).
                                  I used to get most of the channels that were promised.
                                  To my surprise the HD channels are not HD clarity (apart from NAT geo+ Discovery+Travel xp+ movies now) they are just good in picture quality and sound (looks fine tuning is done) compared to regular viewing channels, but not High Definition. The sound quality in HD is cracking during peak viewing hours)

                                  In a months time without any information or intimation the packages were changed to TruHD Royale pack (RS 550/- month), adding to my surprise all regular channels which are with HD transmission were deactivated. (these should be available with Platinum Pack) When asked with the Customer care they informed that since i had two channels of each ( reg + HD) the reg channels were removed. But I pay for all the packages. They did not have any answer to that. When I pay for all the channels why is that i am not getting, what I paid for. (101.unsubscribed channel- platinum north pack) is the message i get on screen.

                                  Also with regards to the HD sound clarity they have tried to troubleshoot but in avail, requested a technician to visit my place, yet no one has arrived to the given day or time.

                                  Its been close to three months they have not yet updated the my account info on the system, I get a message almost 6 days in advance on my cell to recharge the subscription.

                                  The customer service has not even managed to update the info after repeated intimations till date.

                                  A real Poor service and a fraud trap I have fallen into DISH TV. I urge the users/subscribers to think twice/thrice before you buy any subscription/package.

                                      We have just taken new connection of Dist tv and done recharge on 23rd of Oct Last month, but today suddenly when we switch on to watch movies, it appears blank screen, now as per system it has 3 days more for recharge, moreover we didn’t got any notification to do recharge on 19th Nov as per date it is 20th Nov, So why disconnection happend?????????????. Other thing when we called at customer care some body just told that some system upgration is going on so we can’t say how much time it will take, and he put me hold for 15 mints when I asked that I want to talk with your senior person to know issue. then suddenly disconnected what kind of service is this ?????????????

                                      My problem is pending since 2 november 12 and 1 month going to complete.

                                      my complaint no1.[protected] no2.[protected].
                                      I have taken dishtv connection in the year 2006, i have already changed two
                                      settabox's, recently iam facing signal problem from last one month, from ur end 2 people are came and they sugesting to take new connection, while i have old settabox if i change the new settabox also the same problem will repeat as soon as they told.
                                      Now why i should go for new connection,
                                      when i bot the dishtv connection i have paid 4000 ( four thousand rupees), if i go for new connection company will, refund the the above said amount and why should i go for new connection, other wise company fellows are makeing fool to the customer's. i have never expect this kind of service from dishtv please solve the problem as soon as possible while i will take next step.

                                        I am a Dish TV HD subscriber. My Plan is TruHD Premiere Pack for Rs. 450/- per month (including all taxes).
                                        But I am not getting CNN IBN, Animal Planet &Times Now (ordinary version and not HD). Those channels are included in the package I subscribed already (platinum south with HD base pack) and I am entitled to view those.

                                        I sent the complaint to the customer service on April 21st 2011. But even after 13 days there had been no serious service response from the Dish TV to resolve the issue. Looks like they are not interested in resolving customer issues.
                                        All these days I am actually paying for all the channels. But I am not receiving all of them.
