Dear Sir,
Since last 5 years I am using Dishtv service (VC no. [protected]); I have subscribed for 1ys(The Platinum package) So that I could enjoy the Cricket world cup 2011 and as well as IPL session 4, I have lodge my 1st complain on March 4th about alignment problem, without my conformation these people have closed the ticket. And my 2ndcomplaint was on 27th March 2011 with the same problem but not getting any proper response from DishTV side. Every time I have to repeat the whole history of my complaint, the person will either direct me to a wrong option or commit that my problem will be rectified without fail within 24 hrs and then I will have to call back because there is no response at all. I have been following with Dish TV Call Centre on a daily basis and every time they write back typical answer that the complaint is forwarded to the concerned department and they would get back to us. On April 12th the set top box is not working, because o[censored]pgradation of software form Dishtv end. I made a complaint to customer care and they told to resolve the issue within 24 hrs. Till the date they didn’t solve the problem. On 17th April the complaint was attend to and I was told that the Set top box is faulty and would require to be taken to the Service Centre along with the VC Card. However, when I got contacted the local Dish TV Centre who told me that Set top box is software need to be reloaded or swapped with another one refurbished one. After that I’ve called several calls to Dishtv but they are giving me excuses every time. We really don’t know what the state is so pathetic for customer service with Dish TV and we feel cheated by their local staff and laziness of resolution of the problem from their backend team. I have decide to give an consumer complain, I got all the conversation details and also voice call records with me. Looking for consumer court support for resolving my issue

Dish TV — No Service & Cheating by local staff

Hi,

Its been 3 weeks that I submitted request for reinstallation of our Dish TV and till date we have NOT got the service.
The local staff visited my parents in my absence and took the money and later there was no reception of the signal in the TV unit. The local staff demanded further money to look into the issue.

I have been following with Dish TV Call Centre on a daily basis and every time they write back typical answer that the conplaint is forwarded to the concerned department and they would get back to us.

I also asked for the termination of the relationship and the refund of the moeny, still there is no action.

We really dont know what the state is so pathetic for customer service with Dish TV and we feel cheated by their local staff and laziness of resolution of the problem from their backend team.

Would be great if our problem gets resolved.

    I have paid renewal charges of Rs. 300/- on 24/4/2011 for my VC No. [protected] and till 28/4/2009, I was enjoying silver saver package with colours channel. All of a sudden on 29/4/2004 I received the message, and they have changes my package to Gold cricket and reduced the renewal date, which is not acceptable. Since last two days they are replying that your complaint will be solved within two hours. I have requested ever time to solve the problem and my position must be as it was on 28/4/2011.

        We have recharged our subscription until 17th July 2011, but TV message says our payment is due on 13th April and all the channels have been blanked out since 13th April.
        Our Dish TV a/c no is[protected].

        This is totally unexpectable as we are paying for the services and not getting it.

          Hi Sir/Madam,

          This is Niveditha Gadi. This complaint is regarding the reinstallation of DISH TV Antenna and set up at my new premises. I have called DISHTV customer care more than 10 times to dismantle DISH Tv antenna from my old address and reinstall at my new premise.

          The DISH TV customer care always mention that your problem will be resolved at the earliest and give me a reference number regarding the complaint and also mention that the local DISH TV guys will call you and resolve the issue. but inspite of calling the customer care many times the local hyderabad DISH TV service people never called me. I have also paid the recharge amount for the whole month. But I am unable to watch TV. It has been almost a month since i moved to my new premise and also i have been complaining DISHTV to reinstall the set top box and antenna.

          Please look into this complaint and see that this complaint be addressed at the earliest. The DISH TV cusomer care is the worst one i have ever seen. I donot recommend anybody of DISHTV services not even to my friends and collegues. Please make sure to buy any other DTH service available in the market other than DISTV. I am also planning to terminate my DISH TV service and planning to go for a SUN DIRECT.

            This is a Fraud ! I booked a Dish TV Set online on 21-Apr-11 and the Frauds started from that point:

            1. I immediately got a call from the Online Sales division who told me that if I pay online I'll get the set after 3 days, instead, if I pay cash on delivery, it'll get installed the next day however, I'll have to pay Rs. 1411 instead of Rs 600. When i checked online yesterday, the turn around time is the same for both the type of payments

            2. I got the Set Top box installed the next day after I had to call various people (dealer, technician, field engineer), but to my surprise when no channels were coming even after more than 24 hrs, I checked online & called the Call Center to chk the status to find that the VC Number [protected] I got is NOT a New Connection, it was alreday sold to someone few months back & is currently in Disconnected mode.

            The Registered User name is Kareem who is a dealer in Subhash Nagar, Hyderabad. I called this person & he confirms of Not Selling an Dish TV Connection in last few days.

            The two technicians who came to install the STB were Vijay: [protected] and Sudhakar: [protected]. When tried calling Vijay, his phone is switched off.

            I've been calling Dish TV Customer care since last two days & nobody has done anything about this.

              This complaint is regarding the way Dish TV folks service Movie on Demand.

              I subscribed to a to a Movie by SMSing 57575 which is charged at Rs. 3 per SMS. Everytime I do this I am asked for a Pin to be entered and the folks at the call center ask me to enter Pins which they give me do not work. So far I have sent close to 19 SMS for this movie and the cost for these various SMS is more than what the movie is charged.

              Various complain request #'s (example 57785262 and[protected] were given to me and eveytime the same is asked to be done, Send an SMS again, we have rest the password, we have refreshed, keep it in 999 for 2 hours and then try again with 0000 or 1234 as the pin and it will work.

              Does anyone know how to solve this or is there a legal recourse for this as these folks are taking this as a regular one inspite of this not working.

              There is none o[censored]TV channel as it is printed on the broshear, No movie librery available, how to find out which movie have what number (English/Hindi) to send the SMS, every wait for for then 10-15min to talk to costumer care.

                This is Ashish Rai, I am using DISH TV DTH Consumer , my VC number is [protected],

                I have two complaints

                1) I did payment of Rs 400/- by using online payment service of Dish TV. they are using Citibank gateway for this services. I did payment through my SBI Credit Card of Rs. 400/- on 15th April 2011 at 2.43PM, its transaction id is T10135, this payment is lost in the thirdparty gateway (Citi bank) of DISH TV. The payment is approved from SBI Credit card, but it is not going to claim from DISH TV (Citi bank gateway). For this Dish TV deactiavted my DTH servcies. For resloving this issue I called many times to Dish TV. They are just telling sent us Credit Card statment, please let me know how can I sent them statement, if CC statement will come to after one month, means I need to wait for 1 month for this clearance and after that I need to do recharge again, Really this is very worst services provided by DISH TV. Even I am providing them statment screen shot from web page of Credit card and the payment details from DISH TV Site, also I provided transaction ID T10135 of the payment. But without tracking that transaction id and closing the request. DISH TV giving very worst service. I already did the payment but still I am not able to see TV on DISH Tv DTH services, also they are charging me Rs 20 per day of deactivation of the account. Is this a way from zee network renowned company doing with consumer. Please do some serious action on such service provider.

                2) My settop box of DIST TV is not working properly from last three days, for this also I called many times to DISH TV. complaint number on DISH TV Record is 5762237. Without resloving this compalint. they metion compalint is resloved in their record. And forwarded me SMS, your complaint resloved successfully. I am still unable to understand, what kind of service DISH TV Providing? without providing resolution how they mention compalint is resloved, even DISH TV told me complaint will reslove is 24 hours, but now its more than 72 hours. No technician visited to my place for resloving my compalint. Really very worst service provided by DISH TV (DTH)

                Please do some serious action on DISH TV DTH for providing worst servise.

                      I had sent the following mail to [protected]@dishtv.in on Fri, Apr 15, 2011 - but am yet to get any response!

                      Speaks volumes about Zee DTH's customer service!

                      --

                      Early February, I'd registered a complaint with Dish TV customer care
                      over telephone, highlighting the "technical error - 301 signal not
                      found" problem in my connection (VC no -[protected]).

                      Since this problem had been persisting for a while, I had then - while
                      placing the complaint - requested specifically that the technicians
                      coming to my place should bring an AMC contract so that I can purchase
                      the maintenance for 1 year.

                      However, you sent technicians from your franchise in Noida - P K
                      Enterprises (Sector 10) - on February 12 to address this issue.

                      They told me that they don't deal in AMCs, and can only rectify the
                      problem - one of dish alignment - for Rs. 150.

                      Without any option in hand, I had to reluctantly pay the amount and
                      settle for this.

                      Now, hardly had six or seven weeks gone by that I was facing a new
                      problem altogether - after a while, the screen was
                      hanging/freezing..!! In other words, my dish TV remote was not working
                      at all in such a situation.

                      Only when I had to switch off the main power source and switch on
                      again that the problem seemed to be resolved - only for it to come
                      back after some time..!

                      On calling up customer care to raise this issue, they told me that
                      it's a temporary thing and if it occurs again, then it might be a case
                      of set top box issue.

                      To aggravate the situation further, since the first week of April, I
                      found that quite a few channels are not coming at all - showing signal
                      not found..!


                      On April 8, I called up customer care to raise a complaint - reference
                      no[protected] regarding both these issues.Again, I put in a request
                      that an AMC be issued to me this time.

                      Now, I was told that I need to pay AMC fees (Rs.350-odd + taxes) + Rs.
                      150-odd + taxes (visiting charges for resovling technical problem)..!!

                      This was shocking to me, and I refused to pay up this amount..

                      And a day later, the complaint was closed and an SMS was sent to me
                      saying "your issue is resolved"!!

                      Least to say that I am deeply saddened by the way Dish TV deals with
                      its customers.

                      I've been using Dish TV since 2008, and have never come across this
                      kind of disgusting, dispassionate customer service.!

                      My point is this - Since my first complaint in February - requesting
                      for an AMC - was denied to me for no fault of mine.. that clearly had
                      got to do with the lack of the facility at the franchise you had sent
                      to my place..

                      So why should I,as a customer, have to pay visiting charges for
                      technical resolution this time, too??

                      Would appreciate a sincere and well-thought-through response.. and not
                      a typical bureaucratic, stereotypical one.

                      If my problem is not resolved to the best of my satisfaction, I will
                      be forced to take up the matter with the consumer rights forum.

                        This is about the behavior of dish TV guys.
                        I asked for installation on 13th Apr'11, expecting the connection with in 72 hours as promised by customer care guy. I called after that, they told its in process, i'll send it ASAP.
                        After that i called like 100 times, every time they have given the same reply.(we'll call you back, but i didnt get any call yet from them). Finally after so much of trouble, after spending more then 200 rs in calling, i got it after 7 days. After installation they charged for cable also, as they mentioned that only 12 meters is free with installation. They told it'll start with in 2 hours, i was able to see DD1 at least by that time.
                        I started again after 2 hours, nothing came , i tried with various options, still it didn't work.
                        I called the guy, who came for installation, he told its not my responsibility, call customer care.
                        When i call customer care, they told me to contact the dish tv dealer.
                        I am not sure now where to go, whom to contact.
                        After spending 36K in my TV, and still i am not able to watch anything.what kind of service these junk people are providing.
                        Its a very serious issue, please forward it to the respective authority so that some harsh action can be taken. This junk Shiva Shakti manager name is satish, he'll promise lot of things to you, but wont do anything. I am very fed up by dish TV, so please guys before going for Dish TV, consider your option again.

                        I think you are absolutely write these people have the same kind of worst service, as same thing is happening with me also.

                        Looks like they have installed the dish tv free of cost and they are going to pay back us to watch that.
                        Even I am a DISH TV subscriber..Pathetic their service. I do not have any words to explain their service..I also have almost same complaint with the same SHIVASHASKTHI..Very very bad service..However our story is a bit different..Every afternoon we will get a call from Noida (DISTV OFFICE) and will ask same thing over and over and we r fed up of telling them our complaints.We r not getting Some of the HD Channnels they promised in addition to many of installation problems. We send almost 20 emails to may of their heads and make more than 100 calls to may of the DISH TV people..Stilll they can't resolve the problem..And peopler who r coming to sort out this problem are arrogant and not at all well mannored..Like King Like people..Anyway we r going to disconnect the service..

                        My humble request to every one is do not go for damn DISH TV..TATA SKY offers far more better service than this..WE don't know how to escape from these guys regular calling and disturbance..Extreame nuisance they r creating...
                        They won't sort out the problem..They do not know actually how it works..Wat the the hell they r doing we do not know..Such a situation for an esteemed organization..PLS PLS Nobody go for a DISH TV subscription...YOu will get the worst experience in ur life.

                              I (Mushtaq Mohsin from Chennai) bought a Samsung Lcd Tv with free Dish Tv HD Setup box VC No:[protected] on 7th of April and we requested the customer care to send the installation person as soon as possible, and they suggested us that they are going to send the person on 10th April 2011 but on that day no one came for installation and we keep calling the customer care for installation. At last 12th of April 2011 three unexperienced persons from SUBHAN INFOTECH came they told us that they are the trainer and they are new to this field so they fix the antenna and told us to keep the set up on for 24 hours. We kept the set up box on for 4 days but no one came for that or we dint get a call from customer care. And we paid the installation charges around Rs.846/= (I got a invoice bill for this amount). Even today we made a call to customer care and they promised us they will rectify the problem today before 5 pm, but so far no one turn up nor we got a call from customer care. So we thought to give the complaint about Dish Tv service. And I request all the peoples think twice before going for Dish Tv connection. My number is[protected] Mohsin, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

                                A dish TV VC No is Installed in Name of My Father Sh Rajinder Nath Sharma
                                The pack used was Gold Saver Pack
                                The Subscription was expiring on[protected]
                                On[protected] i tried to get Titanium Offer through Web portal but couldn't do that as the option was not available in My Menu (!!)
                                Alarmed i called Customer care and After some time I talked to a senior person Rahul who asked me to mail and he will respond within 24 hours
                                But this never happened

                                On 15th I managed to talk to pranav (Again a Senior person in customer care deptt)
                                He asked me to deposit Rs 3550 in one shot and assured me that I will get Titanium offer
                                and he started the Titanium offer channels within 2-3 hours (He was the only person who cared about customer as i found in my interactions)
                                I deposited the Money on 15.04.2011 at 1300 hrs through net banking
                                In evening Mr Pradeep Rawat(Again a senior person in Customer Care Deptt) assured me that transaction takes atmost 24 hrs ,So Latest by[protected] Money will be in their account.

                                In morning of[protected] the channels stopped
                                Nothing happened in next 36 hours till date

                                We request you to kindly revert with the scanned copy of bank statement, if the payment has been deducted from your account."

                                What is this ?

                                Is their order number not sufficient ?
                                Scaneed Copy of bank statements can be obtained on Saturday evening or Sunday morning ?
                                Why should I disclose my bank statement for this paltry amount to them ?

                                  I purchased dish tv HD about one and half months ago. For the first one week after installation i didn't get any HD channels. Later they installed a part that is required for HD connection in the dish which was not installed initially. Then i got the HD channels for one week and after all HD channels are not clear. They are getting scrambled and the video is getting freezed. I have been continously calling the customer care for the past seven days and all the seven times the different operators gave the same instruction like restore factory settings, channel search and asked me to keep in channel 999 channel. After doing all these stilll the problem is there. Finally a technical person came in person and checked all the connection and signal quality. He told everything is fine and the problem should be with broadcasting and also informed me that this problem is occuring for all HD customers and it should be solved in headquarters. Immediately i called the customer service and asked about this, but the operator told that is not true and everything is fine with broadcasting. Now after all these chases for about 1 week the problem is not solved. I am really upset about this. I will say Dish TV is the worst service provider in DTH and advise others not to go for DISH TV from my own experience.

                                  Hi,
                                  I was facing problems with DishTV. Some HD channels were getting scrambled Mainly SixHD, FX HD (?), etc. I called the technician but tried in vain but these channels still had scrambling problems. The technician was also surprised to find that the signals were quite strong 80% to 90% but sometimes it suddenly went down to 3% to 6% causing the channels to get scrambled up. There was no rain or any trees blocking the signals. He was surprised too! One time he asked me to stay near the dish and went down to the TV to check. He called me down elated, saying all the signals were staying at 80% to 90%. I came down and saw but again the channels were going down to 3% to 6%.

                                  Then the next day, while watching IPL Six SD) I got a phone call on my cell, I took my cell and went to the other room to talk. My friend who arrived asked asked me why I was watching in SD while paying for HD and he switched the channel to Six HD. I was in the other room talking on my cellphone, and the HD channels were crystal clear with no scrambling. I came into the room with the TV and the channel scrambled again. Then it struck me, I took my phone into the other room and the channels were again crystal clear. I realized that my Samsung S Duos Smartphone was causing the problems. I recommend everybody to try this out. If your HD channels are scrambled and you have a Smartphone, try moving the smartphone in a room far from the TV. Try it out it worked for me.

                                    Subject: Lethargic attitude and no ownership at call center at Dish TV, dish TV channel recharge.

                                    This complaint is on Dish TV customer care (call center). Dish TV call center is not competent enough to handle customer's sensitive issues. Their call centre boasts on minimum 2 hours TAT and maximum 24 hours TAT to address the issue and provide a resolution to the problem raised by customer. This case which I am referring to took more than 96 hours (4 days) with no resolution at all. Complaint is against VC no. [protected]
                                    One instance happened with me. On 7th April '11 I recharged my Dish TV account via net banking (using debit card). Today is 11th '11 (10.30 pm), the amount has been deducted from my A/c however my account has not been recharged till date. Moreover, I am getting system generated calls that my connection will get deactivated on 11th Apr '11 as this being the last date. I am completely unhappy the way sensitive escalated issues are addressed at this call center. On top of this they have stopped taking payment from HDFC net banking but have not at all intimated to customers via their website (another flaw). Also their website does not provide we customers the escalation route which is a mandatory requirement for any corporate which is providing customer service. I request that this matter to be taken very seriously and company should be penalised for all the basic requirements they are not adhearing to. I also requested with supervisors and managers at call centre over call that I need to be connected to call centre head and the same was denied right away (this is not at all acceptable again). Also no staff at any level is authorised to take an exceptional call / stand in cases of high sensitive escalated cases.
                                    I have written 9 emails to customer care, more than 11 phone calls to call center but all in vain and was totally helpless and frustrated.
                                    Names of the Dish TV call centre (Noida) staff who have handled my this case inappropriately (via email and on call): Deepak Kumar, Mr. Sachdeva, Parul, Asif, Sumit Kumar, Shazia Khan, Adil Shafi, Manisha Gairola, etc.
                                    In case this customer complaints website can assist routing such customer complaints to the concerned corporate, I would request you to pl. arrange a call with All India call center Head at Dish TV (if feasible). If not, pl. suggest an alternate route to get in tocuh with him / her as person at that level should be aware of the ground level inconveniences faced by the customer.

                                    If you ask them about their higher authorities, they will always say they are very busy ... I don't understand what they do . All that group looks like a team of impotent, who promised not to deliver. Can anyone give email ID of their regional head ? They can not tell you what exactly the escalation procedure is . Such a horrible experience ... a nightmare that I invited in my life by taking Dish TV DTH. I am planning throw those STB and antenna into road in front of public and will go online to create awareness against Dish TV. Being a private player, such horrible experience they are giving ..just unimaginable.

                                    No shame left on their face ... Shameless, deaf inept, inefficient running Dish TV DTH. Saharukh Khan lost my permanent respect by endrosing such horrible brand.

                                      Recent introduction of 30 HD Channels by DishTV is a huge fraud. There are only 2 Real HD Channels, Discovery HD and Nat Geo HD. The rest, including Zee TV HD, are all upconverts from SD, and at times, these channels offer even lower quality television.

                                      DishTV is committing a huge advertising fraud be luring people in with false information. It is not worth it, unless you love Discovery and Nat Geo.

Actually out of the 30 HD channels only 3 channels - Nat Geo, Discovery & movies now are tru HD... other channels they claim to be HD are just SD channels...                                         Dish tv is the most horrible DTH service in India, and CCavenue is the most unsecure online payment portal. I paid online for a connection on Thursday (7/4/2011), CCavenue has given me a receipt of the payment on Friday confirming the receipt of payment. But DISH Tv is refusing to honour it, refund my money, or give me a connection. That 24 hour delivery guarantee on their website is not being honoured . Their customer service is horrible. Neither them, nor their Nodal officers care to respond to emails or calls. . My CCavenue order number is HO-07/04/11CAL-36751.
                                        I have a chain of emails I sent to their customer service ([protected]@dishtv.in), to their sales team reps ([protected]@dishtv.in, [protected]@dishtv.in). I forwarded the transaction confirmation email twice after they asked for it. They even asked for a screenshot of my ebanking page of the transaction (although it’s illegal). I sent that too. Yet, even after numerous calls and emails they are refusing to tell me the status.
                                        I want my refund as well as claim damages for the harassment.

                                        Even CCavenue refuses to receive the calls or reply to my emails.
