I bought a Dish TV for 1490 online last month and had a dealer instal the setup box. I paid 600 rs as installation charges (400 Rs more than the normal charges because my place of installation was little far).

Initially the dealer was asking for 2000 Rs as the yearly subscription where as he had recharged it only for 125 Rs for which i received a confirmation. When I asked about it he started telling that the setup box was old and cooked up stories saying that he already paid 2000Rs to dish tv. After all the verifications he agreed that he did not recharge for 2000 Rs. I was fed up and settled the accounts with him and asked him not to call me or mail me anymore. But he is torturing me by calls, mails and messages everyday bringing in new stories. the latestory being that there is an activation charge of 310 Rs and 110 rs for new recharge amount.

When i called Dish tv to lodge a complaint against the dealer so that it would save other ppl's pain, after hour an hour's explanation of the same story again and again, they finally said that they CANNOT lodge any complaint against the dealer.

What a customer service!!!

    sir,
    we got a distv set top box with koreyo tv from big bazaar Pantaloon Retail (I) Ltd., Lucknow wide cashmemo no. T42/1040 dated 26.01.2009. But i received a Dish Tv set top box on dated 05.03.2009

    My installation comp. no. 21903922 dated 06.03.2009.
    installation done on april, 2009 in the name of Sri Mukta Prasad Srivastava

    Vill- Takiya Post- Semari Khancoat
    Distt. Siddharth nagar, U.P.
    PIN- 272192 from M/s Rupesh Enterprisess, Itwa Bazaar, Siddharthnagar, U.P.

    They charged to me Rs. 400/- for installation and Silver Pack Charges but not given any recipt to me.

    After demo period the signal has been locked.

    after that activiation complaint lodged my me wide no.[protected] dated 15.04.2009 but no response received by your side.
    We discused our problem with our dealer situated in Big Bazaar, Lucknow. They give me mob. no. [protected] Mr. Ashish Sinha.
    Mr. Sinha gave me another mob. no. [protected] Mr. Sandeep Pandey incharge of Gorakhpur Zone.

    We discussed Mr. Pandey many times. but he always said to me 'HO JAYEGA'...

    We again lodged a complaint to your custome care no. 26154092 dated 09.06.2009. but responese nil.

    Till today we spent much money and feel menal harrassment at above discussion.

    This is my second compliant by email

    pls. do some thing about my problem otherwise we will going to legal proceedings.

      Recently in the 1st week of June 2009, I had approach to one of Electronic Dealer(Rajdeep electronics) in Navangpura, Ahmedabad for Recharge coupon of Dish TV Platinum Card, but dealer said that he does not have Rs.500/- recharge coupon instead of it he has given he 2 coupons of 250/- each of GOLD card.

      I had recharged both coupon of Rs.250/ each over phone with recharge facility of DISHTV and enquired about my existing Platinum card facility, over phone they said that they will switch my in accounts accordingly and asked my if I will paid up to Rs.700/- I will get related benefit of free MOD etc.

      Very next day I had visited same electronics shop and brought one more card of Rs.500/- of recharge.
      after refilling the card over phone, I had asked DISHTV about my related facility of Platinum card but over phone they informed me that I will not get free facility of MOD, al-la-card since I have charged only Rs.500/-. In my opinion I have refilled total value of Rs.1000/-.

      This very surprising to me and sense of deceive ness exists.

      So kindly guide me.

        I’m MUNISH CHANDEL from Bilaspur and I purchased DishTV connection of 1year subscription scheme as on 18/Julyl/2008.           On DISH TV my account space I have not seen total payment & not seen renewal date. I am renewed my account on 10th June 2009 I received your message on mobile about receiving payment but on DISH TV my account space not seen any details about payment and renewal date.             Hi,

            This is Priyanka and i did not get the soft copy of my vod bill on my e-mail id [protected]@yahoo.co.in.

            It has been more then 20 days I'm appealing to vodafone customer care but no bady is ready to get bother towards my complaint and request.

            Every time they said it has been dispatched but I'm still waiting for the same.

            If it will happen in next month I'll mark a mail to higher authority of the consumer form and I it the person.

              Its rather funny to know that there is no complaint centre (telephone complaints) for DISHTV. Previously there were two numbers provided by DISHTV for redressing the complaints of their customers. First was [protected] and [protected]. Well, lets not talk about the first number as it is out of order. Second number tells only about the details of depositing your subscription...:) that sounds crazy on the part of DISHTV who are only after minting money without bothering as to whats happening to their customers who invest their hard earned money to have some entertaining moments when they come home after work...

They have errounously adjusted our Rechage voucher of Rs.500/- against Diamond pack whereas we had bought it against Silver pack. ( Scanned copy of voucher & cash memo is also attached herewith.                 Kindly take up the matter with them as we are at loss because of their fault and they are not ready to rectify their mistake.

                Although you keep writing "Reassuring you of our commitment towards best services" we don't think you really mean it or you even care for your customers.

                You have not done anything to resolve our problem which was created by your own executives by allocating a wrong service pack whereas we have even sent you the scanned copy of the voucher & the Cash receipt (as proof) clearly mentioning that we have bought it against Silver pack.

                After receiving the money in advance you have allocated it against what ever service pack is more advantageous to your own company neglecting the intention & interest of the customer.
                This amounts to breach of trust of the customer and mis-appropriation of funds of the customer. We feel that we have been cheated !!!

                After buying the recharge of Rs.500/- against the Silver pack we were under the assumption that it will work for the next 4 and half months. We were surprised to note that the balance has got over after only two months itself & it was only then after enquiry that we came to know that somebody has
                erroneously selected Diamond pack (which we had never asked for !!! )

                You can check from you past records that we have always been selecting Silver pack only as per our budget. You can also check from your records that we have not used any of the privileges of your Diamond pack - which we were not even aware that somebody has erroneously assigned. Whose fault is
                it ??? And why should we be penalized for your fault ????

                Just because we have purchased your Dish & set top box you should not behave in a monopolistic manner hold us at ransom - that anyhow the customer does not have any other choice but to came back to us.

                If you are unable to resolve the problem please give us the contact details of your higher authorities and please also be aware that if required we will even go to the Consumer Forum to fight for our right.

                Also please be aware that some of your competitors are offering the Dish as well as set top box free of cost (as their intention is not to earn through the sale of these hard ware but from the Recharge revenues on a long term basis )

                If you dont care for your customers are not interested to retain them, then please atleast clearly say so - so that we can look for other options.

                  Hi

                  My VC no is [protected]. When I bought my dish TV, I went for DishTV Max pack. The customer service was not reasonably good so far for any other issues and it was until I had to renew my payment before 9th Jun 09 and I had done that via online Recharge Free option on 8th Jun afternoon and I have received an SMS confirmation[protected] Customer Service on email subsequently denied that this is a wrong transaction number. I however retain the SMS message as on 12th Jun 09). I also received an email confirmation on the same day that the amount in credited. I also have taken a screenshot of renewal application submission acknowledgement and they now have all details.

                  9th Jun - Ticket#[protected] Mr. X from Customer care and subsequently around 11pm Jitendra from accounts team (20 mts+10 mts + whole night settop box on)
                  10th Jun - Ticket#[protected] Sachin from Customer care (20 mts + settop box in 850 channel no)
                  11th Jun - They told that problems were resolved as per ticket status. No Ticket on this day but spoke to Sweta Ghosh Team Lead (10 mts customer + 45 mts with team lead). Channel in 999 number. My account info showed Rs. 0 still and she agreed to update that as well.
                  12th Jun - Spoke to someone and Sweta is not on duty or shift and some other person spoke and again asked us keep the setup box in 550 channel no - reconfirmed if it is actually 850 or 550)


                  Sweta told me that on 9th they perceived was that my connection is inactive and they activated on 9th but its been still 3 days after that they have not resolved enabling my South Regional Pack. But My subscription is already started however I can claim unavailability because base pack is available now and South Bonanza is just free with that. Why would anyone choose a base pack if there is no
                  'preferred channels' in that. Just that they packaged all different regional packs, we choose the pack based on that. Gujarathis choose their language pack, Tamilians choose their pack, Keralites choose their pack and so on. If not for that option, why would you advertise. Now forget about subscription start date, the problem is yet to be resolved which is my worry.

                  I chose dishTV not for Cost, Clarity of broadcast or anyother feature you would look for normally before doing any purchase but only for Customer Care. When I bought dish TV for (3450 or 2950), Sun DTH had 999 scheme and also a year subscription free and even TataSky had a better deal and were picking up well. I decided to go with Dish even if it costed more only for the service & customer care part. However it sounded in India 'premium' is only for brand and not really for service you give.

                    I Muktaben Rathod a subsciber[vc# [protected]] of dishtv(direct to home tv service) would like to officially lodge a complaint against dishtv for poor reception of signal since the time it was installed for roughly around 9 months.I would also like to lodge a complaint against the dishtv franchise(set vision, waghodia road, vadodara, gujarat) whom i had bought the dishtv from for persuading me to switch over to another service provider like airtel.This is highly unacceptable on part of the dishtv franchise to do marketing for & compelling customers to switch over to other service provider.
                    I reported the problem to franchise which was then been looked upon by the engineers with some adjustments in the orientation of the anteena, but the problem prevailed thereafter once the engineers left my house.there were number of false comitments made by the franchise to send in the engineers.They dont even attend our calls.
                    Inspite of repeatedely intimating the customer care through phone no action has been taken yet.
                    I will be really thankful if you take an immediate action against this problem and fix the same ASAP.

                    Dish TV — Poor Reception

                    i took connection of Dish TV in 2006, since then whenever it use to rain, no signal was recived. i complained this many times to the deler and customer care no without any positive feed back. dealer would send his person and charge us Rs 150 for every visit.
                    recently i.e. april/may we stared loosing chanels in afternoon hence we comlained to dealer and SMS the complaint to 57575. we got complaint no. and nothing happened. after third time i wrote email to customer care bur recived no rpely.
                    again i send reminder without response.
                    now in sept my subscription is over, and Dish tv has started responding saying your subscription is over pay the same to resolve the problem.
                    i sincerly advice all no to go to this service provider any more.
                    on[protected] at 11.59 am we had subscribed your dish tv and paid Rs.630 for gold pack for 3 months. The transaction number was 38872547. On the next day we recieved a message saying that they had booked for platinum pack and that to for two months without my approval.I had also complained to the dealer about this act but no action was taken, now again I paid Rs.250 for silver pack that is on 11-12-09 at 7.15 pm the activation was done after 24 hrs and that to calling 8 to 9 times at the telephone number which is subscribed by you people, I have wasted Rs.150 just on the phone call to get proper reply from your dish tv persons. On 12-12-09 that is just after one day i am againing receiving a message saying your next recharge is 15-12-09 it also indicates the price as Rs.113 tax per month. what is the actual payment?. This clearly indicates that a customer has to pay Rs.250 for two days this will be published in the media along with all the telephonic message
                    I would like to complain about dish tv my VC no. is [protected]. Dish tv people are cheating people by taking the said amount and not activating it. For example
                    1.) on[protected] at 11.59am I had paid 630 Rs. for 3 months and that to for gold pack as per the instruction of dish tv but the activation was done for platinum pack and that to for 2 months. I do not understand the reason why such act was done. About this act I had complaint to the dealer from where I haved booked and also on the phone no. mentioned in the brochure of dish tv but I did not get any positive reply from both the sides.
                    2.) On[protected] at 7.15 pm I paid 250 Rs. for a month, silver pack on[protected] that is just after 5 days the silver pack was discontinued. I would like you consumer people should take strict action against this complaint

                      DISHTV VC NO [protected]

                      Complaints alongwith correspondence enclosed.



                      I am having DTH Dishtv connection since about 2 years. I had the worst service since beginning. Removing the existing paid channel on renewal and demanding additional payment etc on dishmaxi service.

                      ii) about 8 months back they made huge advertisement to renew DISHMAXI for 6 months and to avail bonus of Rs 200/ on renewal of 6 months by making payment by creditcard, cheques or DD, I ahd remited DD for Rs 1600/ less bonus Rs 200/ for renewal for 6 moths
                      but instead of renewing for 6 months they renewed the same for 5 months 15 days.When
                      the matter was referred they said only Rs 50 bonus availble and not 200. So far they have not given satisfactory reply. I feel cheated by Rs 150/-

                      iii) In view of the above incident I did not renew the DTH and the same was disconnected by them on their due date. Lateron they started sending sms to my mobile stating that recharge is free now and they have introduced new package.Accordigly I renewed the SILVER H/P package for 4 months by remitting Rs 500/ (package 125 p.m.) and instead of renewing for 4 months they reduced the same to 3 1/2 months. When the matter was taken with them they informed me that they have charged Rs 40.00 as dawnword package charges. Since connection was given after complete discoeention, such charges are meanigless and they fixed 5-9-09 as due date for further renewal.
                      iv) on 26-5-09 I have remited another Rs 500/ to uograde my package to Gold and to
                      renew further balance. They have accounted Rs 500/ for 2 months ungrdation to god and fixed renewal expiry date as 26-7-09 in addition to Rs 125/ already paid that is they are charging Rs 375 per month for Gold package of 210/- I Have made several
                      complaints/correspondence but their intention is to cheat the consumers. I have enclosed hherewith the last 2 correspendece letter of mine and them which is self explanatory. I feel that DISHTV is a fraud and cheat and I request you to kindly
                      take apprpriate action against them as per law.

                      Please note that VC was updated under Gold package on 26/05/09. As the subscription charge of Gold package (Rs.210/- every month) is higher then Silver package (Rs.125/- every month). Due to this your renewal date has been proponed, which is 26/07/09.

                      i had dish tv more than one year, i am renived the channel last manth 24/05/9 dealer tell me you will get one month connection, but yesterday 9/06/09 disconnect the all channels i will get only 15 days only why like that what is your service problum, your service is very very poor and bad, comparing others your very costly and very less time u will give the packages. pls look at your services and package validities.

                      I am having above VC and the same is valid till 5-9-09 under silver pack of Rs 125 per month. On 26-5-09
                      I have remited Rs 500/ with a request to upgrade to Gold package worth Rs 210/ by taking Rs 285 difference between the two packages till 5-9-09 and to renew my validity by about one month out of surplus of Rs 215 with you. Earlier occasion also upgrdation was done on payment of difference between the two packages.
                      I am surprised to receive reply as under. Validity reduced to 31-7-o9 instead of 5-10-09. Rs 500 remited on 26-5-09 accounted for 2 months at Rs 250 per month besides Rs 125 already paid for Silver pack
                      that means they are charging me Rs 250+125+100(for reduced period) i.e. Rs 475/ per month for the package of Rs 210/ only. Repeated cpmplaints has not yielded any result. It is nothing but daylight robbery, fraud and cheat.

                          Hi friends. I am Gyana telling you the real thing.
                          I took dish TV with 360 north plan..At first they will give you full channel as they mentioned in the boucher.

                          After some days they reduce the channel slowly. When I called to the customer care they are telling we can't do anything as company reduces the no of channels.

                          So please don't go for Dish TV.. " Jago grahak Jago"

                          sharukh khan is a real chutiya, kameena, dogala
                          I get connection of Dish TV by seeing add and name.
                          but after getting connection I am very disappointed with its service.
                          First its set of box have a very poor quality and get hanged many time while trying to change the channel, if press any channel no. it recognize it after few second.
                          changing the channel is one of the difficult job.
                          I complain many time but no. effect, I had to go on with this.

                          One more thing the do is, turning ON adding pack as A la carte without any information and when call to customer care they say you started this.

                          taking a Dish TV connection means open way for frustration.

                          Never buy a Dish TV connection.

                                Dear Sir,

                                I would like to bring to your kind notice that I have bought one Dish TV connections i.e. 01 (VC # [protected] in the name of Mr. Naik Piyush Chhaganbhai in the month of 6th August 2008 from Vijay Agencies, Nandurbar, Maharastra.

                                When I purchased this connection, there was a scheme for first connection @ Rs. 4, 000.00 user will get 1 year subscriptions free for connection, charges will be Rs. 4, 000.00 per connection without any subscription charges.

                                Based on the above scheme I bought one connection and I have already paid additional amount of Rs. 4000.00 as a 12 months advance subscription for connection till july2009, there should not be any due for connection.

                                On 10th May 2009, my connection were deactivated and on enquiring from the customer care department, I got not any answer yet, so What is the reason for disconnection ?. Customer Care Department of Dish TV from mumbai and dhulia did not give me any responce about my complente . As per company record, I have paid Rs. 4000.00 for above mentioned connection to the to Vijay Agencies .

                                As per company records and information, I have made / cleared the payments till August 2009 then I don’t know why my connections have been deactivated. Whenever I call to Vijay Agencies the only answer I get from “Fault is from our end and all the connections will be activated within 24 Hours and you will get a call from our CRC department”. From 10th May I am continuously hearing this statement. And after that I didn’t get any solution from Dish TV.

                                After a series of repeated follow ups My father received a call from Mumbai of CRC department. First of all the this gentlemen is not known my name also given wrong name and vc number and cut the call. He don’t know how to attend the customer.

                                As per Customer Care I have made the full payment, however as per Mr.sachin's record, still I have to refresh the connection or contact CRC.

                                After that i had recharged a Gold pack of 250/- of ITZ Dishtv card on my own risk from my cell no.[protected] Acc.no[protected] pass.1180 but still after 32hours my connection is not activated.

                                I have already complaint to DishTV but unfortunately I have not received any response from them.

                                I am writing this mail to you with a high expectations, I have set and I sure and very confident, this issue will be resolved at the earliest.

                                  I purchased recharge free ITZ cash card from Ms.Nangia, Yeshwant stadium Nagpur I sent SMS on 24/4/2009 from mobile no [protected] we got reply missing que, recharge for VC No [protected] sms id 741327 set top box no [protected] b 57030179.
                                  I failed to get Pin number from rechargeitnow.com on mobile no [protected] as per their email. Further card No was given to him for enquiry and recharge. He told it was already used They are not responsible. Again I paid Rs.936/- +30/- for recharging. How to get recharge amount of Rs.700/- neither vendor nor company is taking any response.

I was replied that systos are being upgraded so we can not do anything in this matter.This is astonishing and notbefitting for a company like dishtv.                                     I got the DISH TV connection on 11.03.09 and at the time of installation I have selected Silver Pack which is Rs.99+tax.I have paid Rs1490/- towards STB and Rs.500 as subscription.With in 3 months I have to make lot of calls to Consumer centre to lodge the tech complaints such as "SIGNAL NOT FOUND", picture qulaity, sound etc.ON 03.6.09 while checking the accounts status it shows to renew the subcription on 23.6.09. While installing the DishTV my subsction expires only on 4.8.09.I dont know how it suddenly it will drop down to 2 months before the expiry.That means with out the knowledge of the customers they are playing a trick by adding all the paychannels which was not selected by me at all.Hence it is advaisable not to select the DISH TV inview of the aforesaid problems.

                                      I had got a parent and a child connection last year. For whole year I enjoyed all channels. Yesterday I had called up your customer care to know how & what to recharge. One of your executive told me to recharge with Rs 312 (inclusive taxes) for parents connection and Rs 173 (inclusive taxes) for child connection. Today when I switched on my child connection I found many channels missing, whereas all the channels were displayed on parent channel. List of missing channels is as follows.

                                      When I called up customer care to lodge the complain I was surprise to hear from her that I have to pay extra for watching the missing channel. I would like to know from you:
                                      1. Why was I misguided by your executive? Your executives are misguiding the customers to benefit your company.
                                      2. Why was I told to pay Rs 173/-?
                                      3. Why didn’t he tell me that with this payment I would miss out many channels?

                                      I was also surprise to hear from lady today that for watching Star Plus I have to take maha entertainment package for Rs 20-30. This package includes Star Plus, Zee and Sony etc. Please tell me why I should pay again for Zee, Sony etc (which is already visible) just for Star Plus.

                                      She also told me for watching missing toon channels I have to purchase some toon package for Rs 20-30 which include existing toon channels and missing channel. Here also why should I pay again for existing toon channels?

                                      For missing Business channels, News channel & Sports channel I have to pay extra charges. Now if I pay extra (i.e., Rs173 already paid + Star Plus + Toon package + New package + Sports package + Business package) the total amount would be more than your Platinum card (in which you are showing all the channels). If I have to pay for platinum card for child connection what was the use of getting two set top boxes with one dish. Every where if we purchase two similar things we get discount for the second thing. In your case we have got two set top box and you should give discount for the child connection. At the time of connection I was told the I would enjoy discount & benefit if I get two set top boxes with one dish. I was also told that I have to pay same amount per month in future, which you are now denying.

                                      Hope that you would revert back & do the needful. & allow me to watch the missing channels.

                                      I am also facing the same problem and want to complain against DISH TV.Parent connection getting all channels but child connection getting only a few channels. You need to pay extra to get all those channels missing, which cost more than the parent connection monthly rent.

                                      They are cheating. If you ever go for Enquiry through their site http://www.dishtv.in/ you will never get any reply. Shahrukh Khan busy doing his advertisement {Thoda sa wish karo...}

                                        hello sir/madam, dish tv is such a big company but still doesn't have any toll free number, isn't that a field you must improve? the number you are giving i.e[protected] is also not a toll free no. the costomer is having a regular problems & must have a toll free number & on this no. std charges are cutting this is really insensitive...

                                        one more thing you are cutting 40 rs. deduction charge if a person switches to a lower pack, plz inform me if a peson has taken an Ala-catre pack of any channel for a month & in next month he is not intrested in taking that channel, than in that case does there is again any deduction ?

                                        and if a person is having validity in its silver pack remainig and the validity of the Ala-carte pack expires after a month than what will happen?

                                        1. the channel will be stopped as soon as one month finishes.
                                        or
                                        2.the channel will remain continue but the costomer's total validity will be shortened.
