This has reference to teletalks with your senior executive Mr.Asad today (20.08.2019 at around 18.30 hours) who has informed that they supply reconditioned set top box without knowledge of customer & the DISHTV is not responsible for cause of damage to the TV . I have strong objections to this.My TV has been damaged due to this faulty set top box supplied to me
Further after complaints of over heating you choose not to replace the set top box even.in warranty period .
I would be happy to know the companies policy & clarification if any .

Updated by Mahendra Garg For last 2 days the company executive have been calling on phone & trying to wiggle out of their warranty putting illogical arguments.
Today about 18.30 ( 22/08/2019) one Mr Kaushik called asking to supply refurbished set top box at cost of Rs 250/-, for which i should pay Rs 250/- which they shall recharge my tv.
I told him i do not want refurbished set top box as it damages my TV set. He said to that they donot supply new set top boxes( even though i expressed desire to pay for that) .I fail to understand how they want customer to take risk of new tv for faulty substandard refurbished set top box connected with adaptor.?
Please clarify the companies position & reasons why you cannot give new set top box certified as per ISI regulation.

As per conversation on [protected], you were wrongly informed by our about FOC visit on STB Swapping under warranty. Hence, we agreed for FOC visit and waiver of STB charges of Rs. 250/-. However, you wanted New STB on swapping for which we denied but you were just shouting on call and talking this and that but not ready to listen. Moreover, also confirmed that TV does not get faulty due to faulty STB.

No favours are sought from you. It was only stressed that the company honours their committment, which you obviously don't.

Updated by Mahendra Garg Thanks for your reply . Today your technician Mr.Shankar Mondal has visited us. He has sent you pix of your faulty set top box & connected with adapter d2h which is obsolete he said causing trouble.
Further a request was put in on phone to deactivate child connection yesterday ( 23/08/2019)evening to Mr. Sharma & inform the recharge amount of parent tv with vcr number so it could be recharged. He failed to do or book complaint.
Today Madam Shandha said you cannot recharge only parent tv, you got to recharge both. I fail to understand why I should be paying for tv which is not working due to faulty set top box installed by you. This set top box has fully damaged my Panasonic TV beyond repair.
You have no responsibility of damage caused to my TV sets...by your defective set top boxes so how can you ask my to risk my new TV to your defactive set top box .
So my both tv are deactivated.
Kindly clarify your companies policy as regards willful causing damage to TV sets .On receiving your reply I shall be constrained to take action as advised.

Updated by Mahendra Garg I have been contacted by Mr. Kaushik of your co. over phone around 14.30 hours .He accepted that on 10 may 2019 he had arranged visit of technician on 11 th may 19 .He was informed yes that he did visit & saw overheating of set top box & advised to ignore. Subsequently set top box damaged the power board of TV & other parts beyond repair.This has been confirmed by engineering of TV company ( Panasonic).You have instead of replacing the faulty box SUO MOTU closed case whimsically.
Now agrieved with your deficiency I look to you for replacement of TV within a week hereof failing which shall be constrained to take action, as advised.

Updated by Mahendra Garg Your reply is really amusing.If your set top box is alright why you agreed now for swap? After all these delay ! Probably you know due to these prolong use TV is certainly going to be damaged.
Do you make TV set ?? How & why you say your refurbished set top box connected with second hand obsolete adapter shall not cause damage to TV set?
Lastly, I find you as habbit flout all TRAI regulations.
1) You don't give any bills or receipts of money you take in CASH.
2) You claim Rs 200/- visit charges for replacing faulty set top box in gross violation of TRAI guidelines.
3) You don't honour your varantee making frivolous illogical excuses.
4) You don't make good lossses caused by your substandard set top box connected with obsolete faulty adaptor.
5) Your executives call on phone offer help but they don't register complaints.If only you do your work as per TRAI guidelines it shall solve all problems of customers . Nobody needs help from company who violate all business norms & flout all TRAI regulations.
6) Your business thrive on addiction of customers to TV & you take them for a ride using this strategy.
7) You are in habbit of stopping services whimsically & claim money for services not provided.
Finally, I hereby call upon you to compensate for my TV damaged by your faulty equipments supplied & installed.

Updated by Mahendra Garg DishTV set top box installed by them has damaged my Panasonic TV beyond repair. Beaware to use them.
Kindly explain to me why would I pay the Re-installation charges as this is just three month old connection. And if I pay what is the surity that this will not happen again.
Please resolve the issue otherwise I will move to consumer court.
