I purchased a laptop from ebay.in on 22nd June 2014 from a Mumbai based vendor - cgolbal.in. The laptop was listed as a brand new machine for which I paid in full via my debit card. However, when I received the laptop I was shocked to have received a damaged machine - the sides of the laptop body were scratched, and the left Shift key on the keyboard is permanently depressed. I tried resolving the issue with the vendor (cgolbal.in) and ebay.in on this - even lodged a refund request with ID 557175. ebay got back asking for images of the laptop where as this information was provided to ebay when I raised the claim (see attached image for proof) Not only has ebay not done anything, they just waited for time to elapse before closing the claim. A very innovative way to scam customers off their hard earned money while protecting a fraud company (cgobal.in) from any liability. The interesting thing about cgolbal.in is that they offered to ship me a defective laptop (with a non-touch screen) in return for the damaged laptop that they sent me. How ridiculous is this? I pay for a brand new machine, receive a used machine, and was offered the option of another refurbished machine! Essentially, I get a refurbished machine for the price of a new machine, and neither ebay.in nor cglobal.in is liable for this fraud! I left a negative rating for the seller, cglobal.in after this incident only to discover that ebay somehow took off all negative ratings, and restored the 100% credibility to this seller (see attached image.) I find that rather disturbing - who are you serving ebay? I'm at my wits end with this and will initiate a legal case, but hopefully wanted to alert other consumers about how ebay & its sellers (in particular, the Mumbai based cglobal.in) works. Please beware of these online scams - you'd be much better off paying a little more on a website like flipkart.com, or amazon.in - but they really take online fraud and consumer protection very seriously.

WE ONCE AGAIN REITERATE THAT WE ARE READY, AS WE ALWAYS WERE, TO PROVIDE A 100 PERCENT REFUND TO YOU once you ship the product back to us. We have no intention of putting a client through any hassle whatsoever and if that was the case we would not keep harping on a refund to you. We have tried assisting you at every stage possible and even now are ready to give you a 100 percent refund for your product.
Dear Customer, We regret to inform you that your eBay guarantee claim has been closed completely as per the procedure by the claim adjuster because you had failed to provide us the proof of the dispatch copies within the stipulated timeline given to you by the claim adjuster.

    eBay Guarantee* claim - 527568, TO WHOM SO EVER IT MAY CONCERN Dear Ebay Management, I am really disappointed and surprised that how Ebay has taken a biased decision. Product which I have received was not working since its arrival and that’s the only reason I have asked for a replacement. This 1st time when I had to take such action against any seller as I have received the faulty product by this seller. As instructed by EBay Claim settlement executive; I have dispatched the product to the seller 3 times on given address, even as per my last con-call (Me, Seller and Claim settlement executive “Mr. Olvin”), I had shared the last dispatch details with Seller as well, so that he could trace the parcel and arrange the pick-up from the India post office. Which he hasn't done because 3rd time also I have received the parcel back saying insufficient address like earlier 2 times. 1st Dispatch was made on 27/06/2014 (Consignment No – ED[protected]IN, Receipt attached), 2nd time I have dispatched on 02/07/2014 (Consignment No – ED[protected]IN, Receipt attached) And 3rd time I have dispatched on 11/07/2014 (Consignment No – ED[protected]IN, Receipt attached) All these above information I have provided to Ebay ([protected]@ebay.com) on time to time. In this regard, I had called to ebay customer care/support team 2 times to talk to Olvin and discuss this matter but each time I have been told that Mr. Olvin will call me back at the same day, which never happened. Now I need an explanation from Ebay that on what basis/ground my claim has been rejected despite following each instruction given by Ebay Claim Settlement person. Attachment 1 : Address which was given by the EBay person. Attachment 1 : Address which I have mentioned on the Parcel every-time. Attachment 3/4/5 : Receipt of the product dispatch.

      Hi, My Ebay ID is anandtiwari0409. I purchased a Dell laptop on14th April (more than 3 months ago) and I chose EMI option to pay the amount. As per the policy, I was charged 13% interest on that, and hence I was supposed to pay Rs. 2249 every month (for 12 months) to the credit card issuing bank (i.e. HDFC bank in this case). Now, every month the billed amount varies and shoots up Rs 30 or so (like Rs. 2269, 2282, etc) and also an EMI processing fee is charged to me (around Rs 280 every month). So, basically for a laptop worth Rs 28500 approx, I am paying 13% interest and then Rs 3500 extra as processing charges, which makes it worth Rs. 34000 aprox. Surprisingly, there was no mention of processing charges at the time of buying, however the customer has to incur that, because you are billing it as you wish. and the EMI amount varies per month. These two logics are unfathomable to me. As per my understanding, there should be NO EMI processing charges if the merchant has a tie up with the bank, and even if there is, it has to be only for the 1st time, not every month. And more so, I called up EBAY customer care thrice, in which I was hung up after being kept on hold for 10 minutes. Is this the way you treat your customers? If this is the situation, then you are doing fraud with customers. Tthey should be apprised of your policies. Also, if you are going to charge me like this unnecessarily, you may very well take you laptop (hardly used so far) back, and give me back my money. I dont want to be a part of your fraud game. Please look into the matter concerned or else, I will approach even higher authorities to deal with the situation.

I personally visited their shop and reported above issue along with Screen damage & where they said like we will update you shortly in a day and its been more than a week till now i didnt got any response and if im calling they are not picking the calls Hi all please dont purchase the products from the ebay.in the worst service ever.

                Hi, I purchased Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo phone from ebay on 8th july, 2014. Order(PaisaPay ID) : [protected]. I got this item on 10th july and I had to raise return request as box was tempered and charger was not for this model phone(charger was chaged by seller. I also cross checked with samsung) As box was tempered and it was clearly written on box that "PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT IF SEAL IS BROKEN OR BOX IS TEMPERED". Here in this case seal was not broken but box was all broken and I could take product and other accessories out of box very easily with out breaking seal. I already raised return claim (claim no. 563985) and asked for refund on 10th july. They asked me to wait for 7days and on 17th july they told me like there won't be any issue with tempered box. You can use that product without any worries. Why should I accept this kind of tempered products when it is clearly written on by samsung that please do not accept if tempered. I have not taken this phone in use. I have not even started it. I have kept it as it is in box only. This is my kind request to you team that please help me with this issue. It will be great help!                   This is the second time my transaction is being processed even after payment was successful, my only mistake was that I used a ebay coupon for the new account WELCOME742 for the item ID[protected] with EBAY Paisapay ID [protected]. I was disturbed for the fact that I lost 600 Payback Points(Rs 150) for this ebay transaction and Rs 490 deducted for the bank transaction as result decided to close all my remaining 4 ebay accounts. I earned this payback points as reward for doing certification exam which was really difficult and was cleared after lot of hardwork. I am doubtful whether my payback points will be refunded. Please beware of ebay coupons, donot use ebay coupons else you will suffer like me.Donot use payback points on ebay website as you will suffer if your transaction is on hold due to some stupid reason. Last time ebay refunded my amount after 20 days, but I donot know how much time they will take to refund my amount as I am confident from my last experience that they will not confirm the order. I still donot know what will happen to my WAH Payback Points whether it will be refunded.

                    The ebay is not taking the responsibility of delivering the quality products and they are just an intermediate between false manufacturers. I have purchased a product from ebay and they refused to take the return rejecting my claim that their return policy does not meet. Without any hesitance, they are asking me to contact the seller. While I haven't contacted the seller to buy a product why should I contact the seller to return. These should be banned.

                      Given below are the details of the eBay Guaranty claim that was approved by a customer care executive. I had ordered an item from eBay, paid for it using my debit card. The item did not work on arrival so I claimed return. this was the mail I received from them

                      "We are pleased to inform you that we are approving your refund request and the same will be refunded to your original mode of payment. Please find the details here

                      Action : Refund approved

                      Remarks : As per our telephonic conversation on 30-Mar-2014, we are pleased to inform you that we are approving your refund request in form of eBay coupon. You will receive a coupon of 110% of transaction value. It will be sent to your registered email address, and you can expect to receive it within 7 business days and the same is valid for 30 days. Note: Sundays and Public Holidays are excluded from working days. Thank you for shopping with eBay.

                      So as per their mail I should receive a coupon of Rs.385+10%. But from then I have called eBay several times but they all said the coupon was sent but I never got any coupons from eBay via post, courier, email to my personal id or eBay id. Please look into this issue. I got fed up calling them again and again and hear the same sentence that they have already sent it from their end. Thank you.

                        Sir, 1. I am a registered eBay seller with the name of "Navbrain". I sold item Product Id:[protected], a Brand New, Sealed by Apple Iphone 5s purchased in the UK along with a Rsim unlock to one "amritamrit234" for Rs 44, 500/-on March 7, 2014. After receiving the item, the buyer used it for three weeks and gave me an"Excellent" positive feedback. After using the phone for three weeks, the buyer upgraded software, physically tempered the phone and damaged it. It was also taken to an unauthorised repair shop for fixing some problem. The buyer then raised an eBay Guarantee claim after 23 days o[censored]se of the product on 30 March 2014. 2. On April 3rd, a message was sent to me that read, "We tried to contact you on your registered number i.e.981401xxxx to 3/04/2014 at 15:55 to discuss your concern. However your number was ringing . At this point of time we request you to provide the resolution to the Buyer within 48 hours of receiving this email on [protected]@ebay.com, failing to which we will inform your buyer to reship the faulty item back to you and we will be forced to approve the refund to the Buyer and closing the claim in Buyers favor. Regards". 3. The same day I wrote to [protected]@ebay.com. But sorry to say I did not get any response. 4. On April 6, I got another call from Claim Adjucator Sharad Nagre, who wanted me to speak to the buyer. But there was no buyer on the line. I held the phone for 15 minutes and kept saying "hello" "hello" without any response. After this I got an email and sms saying that the eBay Gurantee claim had been decided against me. 5. I Spoke to the eBay Customer Service to raise my objection. I was promised response by way of contact by the that the claim adjucator between 24 to 72 hours. But I was not contacted. 6. Again, I spoke to the Customer Service on No [protected] and the agent said she would raise my eBay Gurantee claim as I could not do it. She confirmed that a counter eBay Guarantee claim had been raised and I was given Service ticket No 1-[protected]. I got no response as promised within 24 to 48 hours. I contacted the customer service yet again on April 17, 2014 and spoke to agent Anuradha who promised to have the matter looked into and raised yet another Service Request I - [protected]. Yet I have not received any call or resolution. 7. Now, I find that the Paise Pay invoice has not forwarded me Rs 31, 500 due towards the sale of another item[protected]. Instead in the Invoice dated April 14, 2014 this amount has been adjusted against eBay Guarantee Claim No. 453330. This is not only unethical, but also illegal. I have been penalised for an earlier transaction where the buyer lied and damaged the product and then raised a claim. Ebay Guarantee terms are very clear - (A) there is no claim admissible where a product has been tempered with and physically damaged and (B) where the buyer has option of invoking Manufacturers Warranty. 8. My objection is also to your Claim Adjucator Sharad Nagre acting in an illegal and arbitrary manner. Without speaking to me and without looking into the facts of the case, he arbitrarily decided the case against me - this is against all laws of natural justice. The product for which the eBay Guarantee claim was raised was Manufactured in the USA by Apple and sold in a factory sealed state. It carried an international warranty by the Manufacturer. There could be nothing wrong in a sealed item and even if there were, it was covered by Warranty in the UK as mentioned in the listing. There could be no missing part in a sealed box as the claim has said. Secondly, in my listing I never offered to provide any bill as it was a phone that was purchased for personal use, but sold as it was no longer required. The buyer has sent back a used, damaged, repaired and now unusable product without all the items that are supposed to be in the sealed box. I have sent the eBay letters and requests to reverse the decision and release the money for my two transactions. I have also contacted eBay on several occasions by eBay has chosen to remains mum on the issue. I need help on this and also want to know where can I file a legal case against eBay if the eBay does not resolve the issue and release the money due to me.                         Returning a product I got on the same day is so difficult.No response from the cx executives when I tried an Internet chat.I was given a number that doesn't exist by one eBay cx executive when I got on call with him stating that it was the sellers contact.I want yu tu fix this issues at the earliest.All I need is for you guys to take your product back and refund my payment.
                        Today I also got broken tempered glass. Very bad service. I also raise a claim my claim id is 3268462 and they said they will contact me with 5 days . But today they haven't got any call so I don't whether they told me truth otherwise they make me a fool.

                          I have placed an order for rakhi to USA on 10th July 2014, and the amount got debited from my account at the same time, they assured that product will be delivered in 3-4 working days.But when I am checking the status, its showing as payment under process, and while I am trying to contact the seller, "PayPal" as provided on the website, the email Id seems to be fake.

                            I have done a payment to ebay thru net banking for the amount of Rs. 709/- but the order didn complete. So, i want return back my money asap. My Bank's Name - Punjab National Bank Date of Payment - 16.07.2014 My E-mail ID - [protected]@gmail.com On the other hand, they are making fool of customers. They have given chat option for the queries but no one is available to answer.

                                I Bought tupperware lunch box on Jun 23rd. On 26th I got mail sat=ying the seller has shipped the order and will reach by Jul 3rd. I didnt receive order and I got mail on July 8th saying the order will be delayed. So I raised claim o te portal saying I dont need the product as it is getting delayed and asked for refund. From that time there is no response from ebay. They didnt even call me to check what happened. So after 5 days I only had conversation with customer care and asked them what is my claim status. She told it is in progress. I confirmed with her that I will get my money back not the product. I told fine. Now on july 15th I got a msg saying that the product is delivered. To whom the hell they delivered the product? and I got a mail saying my claim is rejected as the product is delivered. I raised claim on 8th and now they are saying that the claim is rejected. Now I dont want your product I need my money back. The same product I ordered from other site and I received the product in 4 days. refund my money as soon as possible. Thanks for worst service.

                                  I bought one sony charger from ebay.in .Whatever is being displayed on the site the actual delivery was totaly diffrent.
                                  While raising complain I want write that I have two battery from sony and this charger is not working with any one that.the battery details are:NP-BG1 and NP1 but I missed to give the second name of battery in the complain.

                                  After that they told me that I will give you 100 rs coupon for accessories which from MIHIR and rest I wont be able to change it.

                                    My name is Gulab Singh. I have buyed a hard disk from Ebay seller "mysaleindia" by paying Rs 1400 /- the seller has sent me a old hard disk it doesnt work. I have contacted the seller he says me that sent the hdd to me I can replace it. I have sent to the seller on 27 june, 2014 through Akash ganga courier from my city to his Delhi officer.
