I purchased a laptop from ebay.in on 22nd June 2014 from a Mumbai based vendor - Cglobal.in. The laptop was listed as a brand new machine for which I paid in full via my debit card. However, when I received the laptop I was shocked to have received a damaged machine - the sides of the laptop body were scratched, and the left Shift key on the keyboard is permanently depressed. I tried resolving the issue with the vendor (CGlobal.in) and ebay.in on this - even lodged a refund request with ID 557175. It has been over a week and nothing has happened in spite of frequent issue resolution reminders. I have been unable to work for the past week because I am unable to use a machine that needs to be returned. As a consequence. As a result of this, I have already been set back by 28K in fees because I work as a freelance consultant that gets paid on a weekly basis for the work done. Please advice - I really need urgent help.

I expect a full refund in addition to compensation for financial loss, and gross grievance caused to me failing which I will not hesitate to initiate a consumer case against ebay.in for this gross negligence.

Ebay was provided with original high resolution images of the damaged machine, and a very detailed description of the condition. On further investigation, I have discovered that the laptop that the seller provided (CGlobal.in) is a machine that cannot be registered at DELL.com because a machine with the provided service tag is no longer supported by the OEM.

This stinks of a scam, and considering that I received a machine with wear & tear, I am convinced this is a refurbished machine and not a new machine. CGlobal.in is unwilling to respond to my repeated offers of settling with the case. The seller provides unworkable options, and even suggested that I exchange the laptop for the same model with a non-touch screen. When I inquired with a DELL representative about whether or not DELL manufactured a non-touch version of this laptop, I was shocked to discover that the answer was "NO"

CGlobal.in is not only a fraud, but has repeatedly offered misleading statements that are either entirely false, or of no use in resolving the debacle. If that were not enough, the seller has been repeatedly contacting me to remove the negative rating that I had given him without offering a resolution! How ridiculous is that!!

I will be filing a police complaint and take this up in the consumer court unless ebay/CGlobal.in is able to provide a resolution in the coming week. I expect ebay/CGlobal.in personnel to either pay for the damages to this laptop, or compensate me in full for an as-is refund. Treat this as my last effort to resolve the issue.

BOTH however were not acceptable to you and the matter was escalated without reason. You filed a claim with ebay which also got rejected as our intention to help was evident in our exchange of emails and call records. Inspite of ebay rejecting your claim we again contacted you to provide service on 22.07.2014 but that too was not acceptable to you. We are as of today also willing to provide you a refund once you ship back the laptop and we check the same.

For your reference and reference of forum members here are the events that transpired in a nutshell :

Kindly Note we received your email on 28th June, 2014 with mention of blemishes on the laptop and supporting images.

We sent you an apologetic response and offered you 2 laptop options as a substitute:

Dear Sir,
Here are the following offers you can consider.

1) http://www.amazon.in/dp/B00HFIJ7E0 - With 1 year standard carry in warranty from Dell.

2) Above offer without touchscreen - Rs. 53580/- All Inclusive.

We also offered you a refund for your laptop. However you said you’d want the following:
1. I'm willing to upgrade to a 17" box of the same make (17R-7737) - I'm way over my budget, but will pay an additional 8K as fair exchange value. This is as far as I'm willing to stretch
2. If the above exchange in not agreeable, I'll raise a refund ticket on ebay citing the reasons for doing so
PLEASE NOTE: the laptop you purchased from us 51, 591 and u wanted a laptop in exchange that costs Rs 67, 881 - a difference of 16, 290, which is extremely unreasonable after having offered you a full refund and/or other options in this range. More so we also partly agreed to giving you the 17” laptop if you paid us 12, 000 more instead of 8, 000 suggested by you. In this case too we were bearing a loss of Rs 4, 000 which again was not acceptable to you.
We again offered you a refund but you stated that you would raise a claim with ebay. In response to the same we still emailed you the following:
1) Immediate replacement but unfortunately we were sold out and did not have a spare unit.
2) Instant refund from our side(due to your urgency) and a gift from our side as a token of appreciation.
3) We offered you a new unit with same specs with guarantee that well get the "touchscreen" started working at Dell Bangalore service center. (We can still happily do this for you or we can get it started and ship it to you if you want to give this one more week since it will be done by Dell center, timeline will depend on how soon they give it back to us).
4) We can replace the keyboard for you even today but Chassis replacement cannot be guaranteed
You still went ahead with the claim, which eventually even got rejected by ebay as they had proof of the chain of emails shared between us where we offered you all possible solutions and support, which unfortunately was dissatisfactory in your view.
Inspite of ebay rejecting your claim, we again called you on 22.07.2014 to resolve your issue but you denied taking our support. We still look forward to assisting you on the matter.
As a last resort to resolve your issue we are still willing to accept the laptop used by you and provide you a refund once we receive and the check the laptop. If the same is agreeable to you please let us know. We have time and again followed up with you as can be seen in the email follow ups and call records and have never denied service.

    LEGAL NOTICE No 1 Dear Saurabh Shankarji, I had send email to ebay through customer support to Mr. Saurabh Shankar, Mr Chetan S & live chat with Mr Khalid, Ms Pranali S, Mr Umer L of ebay, but nobody had replied satisfactorily regarding my following problem: I have ordered the Micromax A117 Canvus magnus phone(IMEI no [protected]) price 14491 rupees on 24th May 2014 at 12.54AM with ebay ID "mayankthebest_2011" to deliver it at following Address: "NB-02, New Beni block, Nagala Dairy Farm, GBPUAT, Pantnagar (Udham Singh Nagar), Uttarakhand -263145". On 26th May 2014, there was phone calls from ebay that this phone cannot be delivered to Pantnagar Address and asked the new address for its delivery. The phone had been delivered on 28th May 2014 to the new address: " Mayank yadav, H.No.1/5142, Gali No 5, Balveer Nagar, Shahdara, Delhi". This mobile phone touch screen has hanging problem since day one. Its touch screen slowly stopped working. The back button at right bottom corner is not working at all. You have given all the technical features on your website. But you have not mentioned anywhere this touch screen problem on your website, while this is inherent property of this mobile phone. Recently I have seen the comments of several reviewers, most of them is saying that touch screen problem is continuously persist with this Micromax A117 mobile phone. This is cheating with customer and is complete violation of section 420 of IPC(Dafa 420) regarding consumer protection act 1986 for dishonestly delivering the goods to the consumer. You are hereby requested to return the above money as early as possible. Therefore I again request you to refund my entire money of rupees 14491 that you had charged by selling the above mobile phone to me.       I have ordered Iberry Auxus Linea L1 mobile from Ebay on 28/06/2014 & I received the product on 04/07/2014, but when i received the product & checked, i found it is not working properly, mobile screen continually flickering not stable & couldn't do any thing, I have observed full day but problem not resolved, I have tried to call seller but seller not responding, then I have log the complaint on 06/07/2014 through Ebay Guarantee, I am expecting Ebay will replace the product or refund my money but after 6 days they replied, your claim ID has been closed & you have to visit Manufacturer support center we will not refund against under manufacturing warranty product, I said to Ebay person all the product comes with under Manufacturing it means they will not refund or replace any product if it is faulty, this is cheating with customer. I suggest to all people pls do not purchase any product from Ebay are cheater. Ebay Guarantee & claim all are Fake, pls don't belive. I Requested to Please help for refund my Money.               I had paid for an item on Ebay on 23/05/14. The last date for shipping the item was 26/05/2014.But didn't receive it till date . Whereas, on their site they have mentioned that the item was delivered on 26/05/2014 to some WRONG ADDRESS. After making multiple complaints through calls and mails they are not refunding my money. I HAVE PAID FOR AN ITEM WHICH I DIDN'T RECEIVE AT ALL ! None of the customer care people or senior people are responding to my complaint properly. My case officer some name with Mr. Dennis not coming on call whenever i call them. ebay india making indian people fools. Seriously BIG NAME SMALL COMMITMENT. WORST SERVICE i've ever received online ecommerce site.

                I purchased a mobile on 30th june 2014 from ebay.in with paisapay id:[protected]. while i was making the payment the expected shipping date was 2 july 2014. But after payment the shipping Date changed to 5th july. When i contacted seller on 2nd july they assured me that the shipping will be done on 2nd itself but the item was not shipped till 5th july. ebay had only one answer that if the seller doesnot ship ur order by 5th july the order will be cancelled and ur money will be refunded. Ebay along with seller is playing around with buyers money. They have such such fraud seller listed which helps them to trap buyers so that they can play with buyers Money for some 15 days. Who is going to pay the interest incurred on that amount paid thru credit card. Need help.

                  Hi my account has been suspended, I had sold 4 items though paisapay and was suppose to receive remittance for the same, The items have been delivered to the buyers.I contacted phone support, they informed me that the buyers will be refunded and i need to collect the cash or the product back from the buyers directly. I have contacted the buyers they are willing to give me the cash if they receive it from your side.                       Dear ebay Team My name is Lavish, i purchased a HTC One X - 8 MP FULL HD+16 GB+1.5 GHz Dual Core+4.7-inch+1 GB RAM+Android 4.2.2 (ID[protected] from e-bay.com, , , , the phone is under warranty. but we are not received support from HTC TVSE store, , , they told us this phone is from out of country & this is not properly converted into Indian format, we are not able to solve your problem please contact your seller. We try to contact the seller but eBay told us the seller is inactive and mobile number of seller is changed. ebay is not helping us. Seller used the eBay platform to sell their unauthorized phones to India & ebay is not willing to take the responsibility of his seller. I request to eBay team please interfare in this matter because seller used your platform for unauthorized deals or please help us to resolve this problem, , , we are facing the problem in power IC of phone, hardly 6-7 months back we purchased this phone from you.                         I had paid for an item on Ebay on the 11th of June. The last date for shipping the item was 20th June.But didn't receive it till date . Whereas, on their site they have mentioned that the item was delivered on 27th June. Hence the are not processing the refund after making multiple complaints through calls and mails. Instead of the common practice of shipping through couriers, the seller has shipped it through normal post and also levied a heavy shipping cost for the same. They are not providing a proof of delivery also. I HAVE PAID FOR AN ITEM WHICH I DIDN'T RECEIVE AT ALL ! None of the customer care people or senior people are responding to my complaint properly.

                            Dear Sir, I received Sony Xperia Z2 which has come with a defect of which description is as under. Whenever We try to capture video in 4K its not recording for more than 30-40 Seconds. Immediately closes that function with a message - Temp is getting high, camera will shut down when its too hot. Do you want to close it now. After this note whenever we checked handset, we found it hot, which is not normal. It seems that neither e-bay nor seller is bothered about my defective handset. Its more than 7 days, when I complained about the defective piece delivery, no one has yet turned-up to solve my problem. Only they called me once from their side, gave me technicians no. and every time when I asked for solution, he suggested me to update software which I had done twice. And for the last two days he is not receiving my calls too. My request is that I don't want to continue it more. Please refund me my amount and take back this mobile phone as per your refund policy.                               Three months back (in the month of April), I had purchased a laptop from eBay India. When I received the laptop then it was non-functional. So, I contacted eBay and then they forced me to re-ship the product back. Now, it's been 3 months and as per their policy I must get my money back. But, instead of giving me my money back, they closed my claim just by giving a comment that "On mutual understanding between buyer and seller, closing the claim". I tried reaching them but they never gives any proper response. Neither they provide any information.                               Yesterday, eBay called me and forced me to WAIT. As per eBay, they are not ready to give me my money back. However, as per the commitment of eBay, I was expecting a full refund if they fail to give me the product by 30th June.

                              Now, they are saying that as per the policy, they cannot give me a refund and now they are forcing me to wait till August. Now, I do not want the product. I want a full refund.


                              Please look into the concern...

                                I am Dr. Shamik. I have ordered an audio video camera on 4 June 2014. I have not received the material till date. My paise pay id is [protected] I have already claimed for the refund worth of Rs1255 on 19 June 2014. I have called the customer care many times about the status of the refund. To date I have not got refund nor I know what is the status of the material which I ordered for. The most pathetic part of the customer care is that it is very difficult to contact them . You may have to wait for 10 to 15 minutes to get in touch with them . After waiting for so long they are not able to give any information about the quires you asked for. Every time they would promise to give a call back within 24 hours but it never happened. I HOPE WITH THIS COMPLAIN I WOULD GET BACK MY MONEY WORTH 1255.

                                    Still today amount is not return in my axis credit card account.
                                    Every time when i called they answer me its in process and you get within 48 hours.

                                      I tried purchasing a phone on Sale for Rs. 29, 990 on Ebay India on 25/06/2014 afternoon. I have a good user profile on Ebay with both selling and purchasing in my account with 100% positive reviews. Anyway, I click "Buy It Now" and I am redirected to the Paisapay payment gateway, input my credit card details, transaction is through and when it is redirecting to Ebay, it says TRANSACTION FAILED. But my card is charged; I get the SMS from the bank. I assume it's an payment error and try the transaction again on my laptop since it anyway said FAILED. Again, transaction failed at the final stage. There is no bought item in my profile and no Paisapay receipt or transaction. I wait until the next day, and call up Paisapay and request they refund the money back to my card. My card been charged for Rs. 60, 000 for no reason and I won't be able to use it also for other purposes. Paisapay says they need 48 hours to initiate the process and advice me that if I wanted to, I could try ordering it again using another payment method. So I create a new Ebay user ID and order the same phone whose deal is now over, for Rs. 32, 000 (thanks Ebay!! for the Rs. 2000 price increase) on 27/06/2014 (Friday). Seller promised to ship it by Saturday morning once he receives payment. But this time, the transaction is through but Paisapay says PAYMENT UNDER PROCESSING. Are you kidding me? My card has been charged and you obviously have the money, then why this? Paisapay approves the transaction late Saturday evening (28/06/2014) and the seller informs me that he can ship the phone only by Monday and I'll receive it 3 days later. Wow. 3 more days without a phone thanks to Paisapay. So, now my other card has been charged with Rs. 60, 000 which has not been refunded yet (it has been 4 days). Paisapay must be happy to hold on to my money I guess. This transaction has been delayed by 3 days thanks to Paisapay again. But I must say, the customer service guys at Ebay and Paisapay are excellent. They were very friendly and promised to get this resolved ASAP. My complaint is against the Paisapay payment gateway. If you have so many failed transactions (while charging customers anyway) and long processing time for payments (24 hours+), its about time you lost business to Flipkart and the others. I ordered on Ebay this time because the seller promised me he'd deliver me the phone within 4 business days from the transaction. Now thanks to Paisapay, another week without a phone. Please get your act together. This is 2014. Give the customer what they want.

                                      EBay is the worst and unprofessional online store. They are cheaters & frauds, bad customer support. I will never ever shop from eBay and I advise others not to do so. PLEASE NEVER NEVER SHOP FROM EBAY OR ELSE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY WILL BE WAITED. - 0 RATING..
