I am using the Elica Chimney and Hob which was purchased in Oct 2019. We hardly used for an year or so as we were mostly out of station due to covid conditions in Bangalore that time. It is a 3 burner hob and two burners started showing complaint from the last few months. The flames were coming from the side of the burner and was risky to use it. I raised a request to service it and the person. Next day I got a call from the service person telling me he is coming to fix it. As I was at office, I asked him the time when he is planning to come and he confirmed he will be at home by 12.00 noon. I called him at 12.00 and he said he will be coming at 12.30.. .The kept telling he is coming till 4.00 pm and stopped disconnecting the call. After couple of days, another person called and came for service. I explained him the hob issue. He first did deep cleaning first and told me the two burners need to replaced which cost 5K+. I asked him why the burner require replacement as it is hardly two years. First reason he told was, we scrubbed on burner and it got damaged. My wife told him we never cleaned it or removed it from the hob. Then his second reason was because of spillage of milk the burner got damaged. It is true few times, the milk might have spilled. If your product is designed not to withstand that basic thing, I would say it is the product quality issue. The person who did the service, (I appreciate he did the cleaning very well) did the cleaning of Chimney and Hob, but did not fix the issue for which I raised the complaint. He charged 2700 for cleaning, but said the actual problem require replacement of burners. During the service, he removed the rubber ceiling and went without fixing it. Just after he left only I noticed this. I called him and informed him about this. He said, he already left the place and will come and replace next day, but never turned up.
Regarding their service engineers, they does not turn up on time. Made me wait full day telling they are coming. But never showed up that day. They don't stick to time what they say. Over all it was really bad experience and regret buying your product.
