I fell to the trap laid by the EURO VIGIL guys sometime in November, when my house was nearing completion. In the desire to secure my house, I decided to go for CCTv, video door phone, and a wireless alarm system.The guys who surveyed the place were VELMURUGAN[protected] and his immediate supervisor SRIKANTH - [protected] and seemed very earnest and genuine in pushing their products. I even extended the courtesy of having them over for my House warming ceremony and introduced them to my architect.And boy did they repay the favor!!!(That was the last time I saw SRIKANTH, OOPS the first and LAST ONE)
I made two advance payments of Rs 27, 000 dated Dec 7/12/2013 and Dec 14/12/2013 for them to procure the materials and do the wiring.Initially Velmurugan appeared very dedicated and projected an image that he was moving mountains to expedite the installation process. And then started the game of Cat and mouse. It was almost 20 days before the first set of CCTVs and video door phone arrived and another 5-7 days to begin the wiring process. When I would fix an appointment a day in advance and be there at the site on time, VELMURUGAN would excuse himself saying" I m caught by a cop", "I m held up in traffic" and other lamest of the lame excuses one could come up with. I patiently postponed the appointments to the next day and guess what, I was met with the same excuse.Finally one day when I was not there at the site, VELMURUGAN had done the wiring for the CCTV and the Video door phone and left without informing me.To verify if the wiring was done right, it took me another week to catch some guy from their installation team.All this happened sometime, mid-Jan.
The only thing that was pending in my completed house was the wireless alarm, CCTV and the Door lock.I was so frustrated by these fellows' attitude, I talked to DURAI([protected])-A Technical Head-so was I told- about VELMURUGAN s incompetence and demanded I be assigned another guy to wrap this thing up ASAP. BOOM! No action taken! VEL and another SERVICE HEAD SURESH([protected]) came on Feb 1st to install the Door lock.And the LOCK that they had delivered was a wrong one. They had sent an inside Lock for an outside one and both of them stood scratching their heads like ten-year olds caught stealing.VEL assured me that he would be back in 2 hours with the correct lock and vanished.I WAS NOT SURPRISED!! HE called me the same day and handed the phone over to some guy from the invoicing dept that they had placed order for that lock and it would be delivered on Feb 5th(Wednesday).That Wednesday passed.And the next! And the Next!
On Feb 19, .I get a call from SRIKANTH, Yeah the guy who first collected the payment and vanished!!! He was overtly concerned about this extraordinary delay on their part and profusely apologized for the same.He promised that they will complete this in 2 days time and the delay has been a blot in his EUROVIGIL career.((And now comes the important part.))He then asks me to make another payment of Rs.10000/- so as to procure the wireless alarm equipment and that he would SEND ANOTHER PERSON to collect a cheque the same evening.WHATTT NERVEEEEE!!! I blurted my lungs out and said I will not pay another rupee unless the work is completed!!
PS- I have not mentioned the numerous complaints I made to Durai and the rebukes I gave VEL .Never have I seen such incompetence, unprofessional-listic attitude and brazen display of NERVE!!! I have hard and soft copies of all Bills, invoices, cheque receipts, Text messages and call recordings!!
I have now moved in to my new house already and they are yet to deliver on their word!!
If no action is taken I would wonder what has the world come to???

I am to now finding ways to go beyond karthik as he himself doesn't know how a sim dialer works and it requires a power supply as per durai and installation team. Now sales and installation teams have serious ego issues, where the whole day of installation I had to fire at least five to six guys on quality of work, approach. My installation took four days and balance still not completed after three months. He then says that I will have to provide it, why sell when you don't know about the product!!! I told him that I don't work with eurovigil to know this answer, he has to know or durai has to be wrong. But Durai out of station so contact venkat - he doesn't pick up. First the territory manager Gautam, sold the system but poor guy he has no time for calls, passes buck to dinesh ( I don't know who he is), they are always in training or selling, then karthik always busy selling or training or driving, not to attend customer problems. It looks karthik drives a plane or a helicopter, which you of course cant stop anyway en route. He treats his bike or car, the same way. He will not talk to customers then. For him customers are not that important. Sell it and forget them.
My phone is now loaded with eurovigil guys number who don't know what they are doing or who is supposed to do what?
Now I have send them message to take back sim dialer which is without power supply, refund 7000 plus 2500 excess paid. Asked for bill too which they gave in a yellow paper. No tax invoice. So next way is to complain about business dealing of madipakkam branch to eurovigil to sales tax dept. Next phase is to go their office but these guys are all travelling to sell, so maybe we cant meet anyone there.
Next is to go to their head office is mumbai, spend more money and fight on principal. Sounds crazy, I may have visit medavakkam to take of my mental health fighting with these guys.

Anyway could you get your money back? Maybe your feedback will be helpful to know how to resolve issues with eurovigil. But we had problems with one more company called sat link in tambaram who cheated us of atleast 20000 inr, have two separate cases to fight. Of course eurovigil is lesser of an evil but still their system are at least working.
But service is a totally different ball game, they serviced my dvr after so many complaints and then now know that chennai number for service respond better to centralised call center who don't seem to communicate with Chennai office. A nice guy came and solved our issues with dvr.
But still hanging with issues in intrusion alarm sim dialer issue and refunds.
