BEWARE:
i have a faber electric chimney and is continually serviced with a gap of 6 months from faber in bangalore. we call[protected] and they send the technician. it so happened today 17/10/2009 that the chimney stopped working and we had to call the above tel no.there was a response from tel no[protected] to my landline no[protected], within ten minutes. later a technician by name raghu calls up my wife's mobile no and lands up at my place . his mobile no is [protected]. he says one of the motor has to be replaced and insists that he takes the motor with him and get the replacement on monday 19/10/2009, for which my wife has refused. later i find that there is a loose connection in the power supply and the chimney is perfect.
to report this incident when i call back the usual tel no[protected] they conveniently deny that there was a complaint registered and on the top of it they allege that we have got in touch with the technician directly .
there are proof for all the calls made and recieved and inspite of that they wash their hands off which shows that its an organised cheating racket.

This Mr raghu is a BIG cheat

He is arrogant and has no human value in the interactions

One day some one will bash him up.

Faber is the loser. I also had complained similarly but no action taken.

I wont recommend FABER to anyone unless this Mr Reghu is punsihed.
I faced a similar issue with Faber Service last week when a technician came to clean the Faber electric hob in my house. He pointed out that two parts were missing from the hob- the parts required for the electric circuit and these cost around Rs. 1000/-

I called up their Manager right away and informed that his previous technician who had come a few months ago had stolen the hob parts. I didn't have the bill as that service was done about 6 months ago.The manager very casually said that if there is no bill it is difficult to find the guy because it will take too much of their time and effort to look up their records and get the guy's name!!

Nothing has been done by the company to resolve this issue. I DO NOT trust them anymore and find them highly highly UNPROFESSIONAL for for not taking responsibility for the loss caused to me as a customer!!

    faberkraft with accessories was purchased from mahim dealer a year ago and need proper maintenance unit is installed at A303 vasant oscar mulund west mumbai 400 080 and inspite of best efforts to call service staff no action is taken.will you kindly depute your service staff for proper maintenance.my phone[protected] or mobile no.[protected]
    action for cleaning and regular maintenance of oven and chimney is urgently needed

      This is a company with the worst service , they don't turn up for at least 3 days after complain.
      One burner on my 3 burner stove is not working properly from day one ,the flame just goes off when something is still cooking, while the gas continues to come out .
      Few days back it went off and the gas which was still coming out caught fire form the other burners.

      I have returned the stove to the dealer i brought it from and waiting for response from the company , they did not even bother to give me call and I had to call them to which they responded once.

      I need to get my money back and they should take such a life -threatening product back.

      They should be booked under for being a threat to life
      I have also bought 3 burnet cooktop & experiencing problem with one burner & Faber is only brand name & they are not having any proper customer care model. I would never recommand anyone to go for Faber as they are the worst in providing service.

      I have bought is 2 years back and since then i am reporting problem but no resolution to my problem as of now.

        We have purchased a faber chimney and have always had trouble getting proper service. Moreover, recently our chimney makes a lot of noise and upon repeated calls to Faber Service centre at Kolkata, there no answer on the telephone or the telephone is busy. Even last time, the service engineer was sent after at least 8 calls and after about a month of lodging the complaint. The problem still persists and we are fed up.
        I bought one on 15/10/2009 and till date i, e, 22/102009 no one turned up to even install the chimney and the gar burner !! pathetic buyers be ware.
        Poor response from service centre
        We have purchased a faber chimney and have always had trouble getting proper service. The Chimeny is purchased in Dec09 & our chimney makes a lot of noise and upon repeated calls to Faber Service centre at Pune, no response. Even last time, the service engineer was sent after at least 15 calls and after about a month of lodging the complaint. The problem still persists and we are fed up.
        Since the day I bought Faber, 4 burner cook top I have registered complaints . There is no follow up form the service centre in Ahmedabad. Ultimately I gave up registering complaints.Just fed up of their excuses.Within a year the burners have started chipping off in spite of cleaning the cook top myself with utmost care. One of the Knobs came off, its been a almost 2 years and no one has come to replace it.
        The design is not suited for Indian utensils and is dangerous.
        i agree, a month past, complaint registered for the problem of remote of faber chimney. I contacted the customer care, which everytime says it will be done today, which nobody attends to give the service, its very poor service in south goa.

          One burner does not ignite for more than 3 to 5 minutes in the morning time even after holding ignition switch contineously. Lot of gas is getting wasted and it is a concern for the safety. The service engineers give some technical reason and go off. This is happening from the day of purchase. 4 times the service engineers have attended the problem but could not solve it.

          I would need this problem to be solved at the earliest, since I carry a safety risk and lot of money is wasted in terms of gas wastage.

            I bought a Faber GL CT 40 ABC cook top from Dass electronics in Pune on May 09. I went to the store and picked up the merchandise.

            Within 2 month the burner were not lighting. So I complained and they came after 2 weeks after several calls to Dass electronics as they were driving this warranty. Dass in turns calls Faber. Faber fixed it.

            In September 09 out of 4 burner 3 of them stopped working. So again I complained. after repeated call to Dass electronics and Dass to Faber they came after 3 weeks and said that starter circuit has to be replaced. They said that they don't have parts so it will take 2 days. As usual Faber didn't come after 2 days and I informed Dass. Faber came after 1 week and they replace the circuit. In the process they broke the white stick out parts for one burner. As my wife was at home and she didn't check properly , so Faber technicial took complete advantage. I came back home in the night and found that not only that part is broken but burner is not lighting. So now only 3 are working.

            I complained again and they came after 1 week (though they said that they will come in 2 days). This time they said that the broken parts are not part of warranty and I have to pay for it including the service charge. During the conversation they started selling me the chimney.

            First of all the product I purchaged by paying Rs 8500 got broke down twice in 4 months. Then during the repair work it broke the parts ( I am sure purposely so that they can earn extra money) and now they are asking money for repair. On top of that they started selling me chimney. This product doesn't have anything other than gas pipe network and small circuit for starter. With this only the product break down so frequenly.

            So ITS A REALLY BAD PRODUCT. NO ONE SHOUDL BUY IT.

            My life will go on. But I have decided that I am done with Faber. In future I will NOT take (forget buying) a niddle from them. I will go with anyother vendor.

            I had bought faber cook top ctx-30ABC BEFORE 1 & HALF YEAR, AFTER SOME TIME THERE WAS A LIKEAGE IN THE SMALL AND LARGE BURNER, AS I CONTACTED THE CUSTOMER CARE THEY REGISTERED THE COMPLAINT AND GOT IT DONE, BUT IT TOOK 2-3 DAYS FOR THE WORK.


            RECENTLY ON 5/09/2009 I HAD SAME PROBLEM FOR LIKEAGE WHICH WAS SEVERE AS THE FLAME COMES OUT TO THE NEARBY PERSON, I CALLED THE CUSTOMER CARE AND REGISTERED THE COMPLAINT, THEY SAID THE NEXT DAY THE TECNICAL PERSON WILL COME AND REPAIR IT.

            THERE WAS NO NONE OF THEM CAME FOR 3-DAYS. WHEN I CONTACTED AGAIN THEY TOLD THAT THE TECHNICIAN AS GONE TO RAJKOT, WILL COME TOMMOROW.
            THE NEXT DAY NO ONE CAME, AS I INQUIRED THEY SAID WILL COMING TOMMOROW AND GAVE THE COMPLAINT NO-1093626.ON 10/09/09.

            AS I HAD ALREADY MENTION IN MY COMPLAINT ABOUT THE SEVERITY STILL THEY DONT UNDERSTAND THAT PART.
            ON 11/09/09 IN AFTERNOON DURING COOKING THE FLAME FROM THE BURNER CAME OUT AND MY MOTHER'S FINGER S AND HAND CAUGHT FIRE AND WERE BURNT.
            IN EMERGENCY I CALLED THE LOCAL PERSON WHO GOT IT REPAIRED.

            WHAT THE CUSTOMER CARE THEY ARE DOING . IN THE EVENING THEY GAVE ME A CALL AND SAID THAT OUR PERSON WILL COME TOMMOROW TO DO THE JOB.

            WHAT THE HELL IS CUSTOMER CARE FOR, IF THEY DONT UNDERSTAND THE SEVERITY OF THE PROBLEM.

            I bought a Faber GL 40CT AI cook top from Vasanth and co, Chennai on 03/06/2009.
            Within 2 month the burner were not lighting automatically
            I called Faber, but unless you scream and shout they dont turn up.After 4 days they turned up and Faber fixed it.

            Than again on 24/10/2009 burner were not lighting automatically and Flame from Burners were not lighting properly.
            Now they say that they have to replace the burners and they dont have spare so it will take 10 days.
            I had a Glen stove prior to this and it was a much better stove than this crap.
            Pls everybody stay away from FABER...

                I purchased a kitchen chimney of Faber make in the month of July 2009.After installation of the same by the company technician ,we observed that the chimney is not working.I complaint about the same in the nearest service center M/s Nikki Enterprise, Silliguri, but nothing changed.After that I collected the contact number of the service engineer of the company Mr debasish Mitra, who is based in Kolkata.After that the technitian visited our place and tried to repair the same.But the Chimney was having some manufacturing defects which could not be repaired henced he suggest us to ask the dealer M/S Bharat Marbles, Silliguri to change the unit as it was not working and moreover was within the gurrentee/warantee period.

                But still it is the same. when I contacted Mr Debasish Mitra again,he told that he cannot help me in this regard.
                Its been 3(three) months and I am suffering because of the negligence of the other party.I requested them severall times either to fix the problem or to change the unit but all in vain.Nither the service center nor the distributer or the company is giving any response.

                Why dont you approcah consumer forum, you should not allow these cheeters to get away like this.
                I was planning to Purchase Faber Chimney ...Thanks for this post...I changed my mind that not to Puchase "Faber". They are taking 2 days for quotation. Imagine how will be service.
                I have requirement for 3 chimneys. I am thinking to go for Faber make. But after reading the complaint mail. SHALL I GO FOR FABER MAKE ??????
                Thank God. I was about to order for 12 faber electric chimneys for my Apts. But now I have changed my mind. If the service is poor, DO NOT BUY ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS.
                I have purchased Faber Kitchen Chimney, Model BF 50090BK at a cost of Rs.10, 000.00 on 31.03.2009. Guarantee period for all manufacturing defects was only one year. But that does not mean just after a lapse of one year it will stop functioning or motor will go out of order and I have to procure another new one. Therefore, it needs an annual budget for Chimney alone which goes to justify that Faber kitchen chimney will not within the limits of mediocre family. I have registered complaint with the distrbutor who have sent his teenage mechanic to uninstall the same gadget and now they are demanding Rs. 2500/- for motor replacement which will be within an warranty period of one year further. I do not find any remedy for such hide and seek business strategy of Faber Heatkraft. I agree I have my chimney is already two year old but actually it came into use for nearly 1 1/2 year since we used to stay in Kolkata very frequently.                   I purchased a Faber gas burner from hotlink Punjabi bagh on 19/06/09, but to my surprise, it starts giving me problem within fifteen twenty days. I registered the complaint, Next day the mechanic came he clean the burner and then gone away. However, the problem remain the same, I again complaint then the technician came he tell me that the burner was not clean at that time on first complaint. He then assured me that this problem would not come again. However, within ten days the problem again comes. I have not paid the high price for this type of quality. So you are requested to please change the burner at an earliest. Please find enclose the bill and warranty card for your reference. This time you please change the burner otherwise this matter will take to higher authorities. I am not satisfied with this type of after sales service this time I want to change the burner this time not cleaning the burner.

                    Appointment date : 13th August. Appointment time 11 A.M. Curren time 3 P.M.

                    Issue: Delay in Installation of Chimney

                    This is not new but I truly do not know when would the service engineers understand and have the sense of time and puntuality. When they promise a time, they just don't understand what other things are planned around in a typical nuclear families in metro citites where both the spouse work. It has been the same and typical case where the call center keeps maintianing the "Indian stretchable timing" and the service engineers take the liberty of stretching it much beyond. The service engineer has promised to be at my place y'day at 4 P.M after repeated requests and he stretches it to 5.30 P.M and finally lands up. The visit ended up only to have another appoitment the next day at 11 A.M. I have lined up the carpenters and the house maids for clean ups but to my suprise even now at 3 P.M neither the call center has any clue nor the technician is contactable. The chennai cotnact for the installation and service is Vigneshwara Enterpises - Service center contact number :28218788 As I am a doctor and need to attend to the long waiting patients, it is critical for me to maintain time.

                    I have bought a Faber chimney with lifetime warranty but to my surprisingly it started giving trouble within 2 months and the service person was made me take a service and cleaning contract for Rs 1000 approx and even after that the chimney gives problem so when the contract got over i dint renew my contract now my chimney is not working and it is almost 1 month now the service person has come almost 5 to 6 times but always he comes does something it works only for 1 or 2 days and then it stops every time they only force you to take a contract, even if its in life time warranty period.

                      I bought a faber chimney Tender 605 from Vivek's in Annanagar in Chennai. Since the installation/alignment is not proper, the chimney does not suck odour. we made many
                      complaints. they will come and give advices but no solution.

                      I bought a Faber Heatkraft 3 Burner Cook Top GLCT 30 ABC some 6 months back.Till date nobody has come for demo and the self ignition is not working.
                      When contacted the agent Prestige Smart Kitchen at Tuticorin there is irresponsible answer and the agent is getting angry when approached.
                      I hereby recommend not to buy this product.

                        I called up the callcenter and booked for service of the hob for KNOB REPLACEMNET, CLEANING AND REPLACE ALL THE WASHERS.
                        A service person turned up after 5 days and that happened only after repeated reminders .
                        The person did not have any spares to replace and went back without doing anything, promising to come on the next working day. He didnot turn up, when we called the call centre, they come back with the same reply of - HE WILL COME TOMORROW. GOD KNOWS WHEN THEY WILL REALY COMPLETE.

                        THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE WE HAD. WE ARE DETERMINED TO THROW AWAY THE FABER HOB, AND ADVICE ALL THE KNOWN PEOPLE TO NOT TO THINK OF FABER PRODUCT .

                          The issue which i am talking about is with the Cooking Hob (MDR 40 TX) which i purchased.

                          After the installation of the product, i had to travel abroad and there was no usage of the product.Was back in the month of Jan 2009 and actively started the usage...i saw two kind of stains..

                          1. Stain on the surface of the Hob
                          2. Stains on the Burner Assembly (I am not sure how you call this)

                          Based on the first complaint i launched with the Vigneshwar Enterprise, Bangalore - A technician visited the place and informed us that we can't remove stains on product and advised us to contact the manufacturer to convey the greivance. That was when i had called the pune office of faber and was informed by a customer care executive - that he would request a senior person from Vigneshwar Enterprises would visit my house and resolve the issue. Apparently it was the same person again and answers were the same.

                          Fyi, this was the process that was followed in maintaining the hob surface.

                          1. Cleaning of the hob surface with luke warm soap water.
                          2. Immesing the Burner Assemby in luke warm soap water for 30 mins and then using a cloth to clean the surface.
                          3. After the visit of technician from Vigneshwar Enterprises - we are advised to use to Scrub pad to clean the hob surface + burner assembly.

                          Inspite of all this efforts, the issue still persists and my satisfaction levels are very very low on the product and does not justify my investment on your product.

                          I had requested the concerned authorities in Faber through the customer care executive to resolve my issue and also spend some good time following it up. However i was given really lame excuses and was told that the product was perfect and the issues are with the usage, which is not the case and they did not even take the efforts for resolving this issue.

                          I am told that this product is removed from the Faber's product Lines.

                          Requesting concerned authorites to help me in this issue.

                          Sir, I purchased a Faber Hob about 2 years ago and since 1 year i have been facing a problem with the big burner that the flame does not come out properly. Once i had complained to the co. and they came and changed the spark plug and charged me Rs. 600/- and when i asked the technician about this problem he said to me that the burner has melted and it shall have to be changed. Since the product is out of warranty, i shall have to pay Rs. 1800/- . I have been talking to the company about their faulty design and low quality product but its vain completely.What should I do ?

                            I have purchased Faber Chimney, for which they gave Faber Owen under combo offer.On very First Use the Chimney had some motor problem after few calls, they resolved it.But the Owen also stopped heating on the very second use.after few repeated calls, the technician checked and confirmed that magnetron has to be replaced and said to give complaint and also fax bill details to company help desk.I brought it in Oct 2008.Till now the problem has not been resolved.i got vexed up with calling them all the time.They say the magntron is not available all the time.

                              We had purchased a Faber CLEO LTW chimney on[protected]. It has a lifetime warranty. The diffuser in the product was found defective at the time of first servicing. We had informed the seller regarding the exchange of the above parts. They sent their technician to check the nature of the complaint. Initially he said that it would be replaced but took no further steps for three months. Then we received a letter from the company saying that they would not change the diffuser as it is not covered under the warranty. We again contacted them on the 29th of March, 2009 saying that the booklet says the diffuser is included under the warranty. The company and the local authorised dealer of Baroda confirmed in a telephonic conversation that they will exchange the diffuser as said in the warranty. Since April whenever we try to contact them they say that the parts would be changed within the week. But no action has yet been taken. We have also sent mails on the 6th of June, 2009 and on the 23rd of June, 2009 And we have also called them many times to remind them of the replacement. But everytime the Baroda Service centre of Faber calls back saying that it will be done within a week!

                              Heatcraft 4 burnor gas stove was purchased in the end of may 2008 and after use of appx. 6 month the complent made to your Panajim dealer m/s Apex Marketing by me through local agent m/s Al-light traders, Mapusa, Goa from which I purchased th same.I agree that the gaurantee card issued is misplased but most interesting thing in that, the burnor provided to the stove has bee melten befor completion of 6 to 7 month which very dificult to understand and digest, as my 12 years old gas stove of 2 burnor of some sami standerd brand is stil in good working condition.
                              My complent is pending with your Goa dealer and he is after inspection agreed for the poor quality of the burner provided by the manufacturer.In view of above I request you to look in to matter and replase the same.I hope you will do the needful.
                              Heatcraft 4 burner gas stove purchased by us apprx. one year back and the burners molten within six month, have been replaced by the compony aginst charging the cost of the 4 burners on condition that the payment will be refunded if the original burner are found to be nonstandered, we made the payment since the item was important to daily use in the kitchen, however till today nothing is heard from the compony or their agent/dealer at Panajim, Goa and the sub-dealer m/s Al-light Treaders, Mapusa, Goa.

                              It has been 9 days since I registered a complaint on[protected]. After calling every day after their 48hr deadline, I still do not have even a call from their technician. The service of this company is worse than anything I have ever seen. It's really a bad idea to buy any of their products, because there is no service after. How can Such a big company be incapable of having a functioning service centre? Is it because we are a third world country, so we dont deserve a decent service?

                                  With reference to above mentioned subject I have purchase the Faber combo offer in mid of April for Rs. 9990 + installation amount Rs. 1150.00. In the time of installation electricity has gone so; I have not checked the products. After two three day i have checked and found the installation has been not up to the mark. The observations are as below.

                                  TOPAZ LTW- width- 60 / 90cm- finish- stainless steel- suction- 500 / 850 m3/hr- noise level- 62 dba (max) - baffle filters

                                  1. hood duct net proper fixed
                                  2. Undulation is there during installation.
                                  3. Lots of noise during on position.

                                  HOB MH 40 TR4 sabaf burners- width- 60cm- ignition- auto electric- 1 big triple ring burner- finish- stainless steel- granite cut- 575×475×50
                                  1. Hob grill not proper alien.
                                  2. Grill level is not proper.
                                  3. Lots of noise in right hand side burner

                                  I have given the complaint on Friday evening to Mr.Yogesh because he has done the first installation and his mobile no is [protected]. But due to holiday he said he will be repairing the product on next day. I had contact him, he simply says please login the complaint on toll free no.

                                  I have login the complaint and my customer id is 100335 on dated[protected] but after three four days no body contact me. They again i have contact toll free no then they have given me Senior persons Mr. Deepak’s mobile no [protected]. And he is assured me your complaint will be resolved by today evening.

                                  Mr. Rajesh technical person came to my home and understood the problem.
                                  1. TOPAZ LTW HOOD CHIMNEY: - He says the noise level is same but we can’t help you on the same.
                                  2. HOB GRILL: - It will replaced with in two three days. he will take the complaint and resolve the problem with in two three days

                                  After week i have contact Mr. Rajesh for the same. He told me contact my sr. person for the same

                                  Than I have contact Mr. Deepak [protected] and given the complaint he told me that he will give me the feed back with in 30 minutes.

                                  After waiting one and half hours I had contact him and take the status from him.

                                  He told me he requires more four – five days because they don’t have spear parts for the same……………

                                  I simply asked Faber managements is this the way to handle the customer?

                                  What is the fault of the customer?
                                  Being an ISO international company Is this the product you sell and harass the customer?
                                  This is the service system. No body takes the serious of the customer pain.

                                  All the Faber technical should attended the complaint and give the feed back to there seniors and seniors should also take the feed back from customer and resolve the problums.

                                  May I request you to take back your products and return my money at the earliest? Either I will go the consumer forum for the same.

                                  After so much harassment of 40 t0 45 day the matter has not yet resolved. I am totally fed up and made the mind to take the legal action and also publish about your product and harassment in all the news papers.
                                  I am affordable to take this pain.

                                  Special note:- all our problems which is mention in this letter and the request is the company should not play with human life .if the products is defected the company should change the products immediately so the people will have faith in your company and be your customer for lifetime if he is satisfied firstly.

                                    We had purchased a Glass Cook top Crystal 30 CT ABC from Faber last year. However, it is not burning as it should all the 3 burners have become very slow.
                                    This is causing a lot of problems . I am been trying your toll free number[protected]since past couple of days but with no response .
                                    I had also sent an email but that too with no response.
                                    I am sorry but I must say the Service provided by Faber is too bad I am very very disappointed and will never ever recommend its products to anybody.

                                      The filters drop down and donot stay in place any more. They fell on hot oil and is dangerous. The teeth of the lock in device seem to have worn out. and need to be replaced.
                                      Chimney was bought in 2005 november. Where can I get the spares and these parts replaced in khar santa cruz area.
