I reside in Bangalore.I had purchased faber chimney 3 years back. It stopped working one and a half month back. I filed a complaint with the service centre at Ulsoor, Bangalore(ph :25546272,[protected]. The technician visited my place after 10 days. He said the motor has to be replaced . The spare part had to come from Poona and he told me that i have to wait for 10 days. Its almost one month since and iam still waiting.i have called the service centre many times but to no avail. One Mr.karthik at the service centre keeps telling me to wait but iam not sure for how long i should do so. I would be very happy if somebody looks into the matter and does the needfull.
I second this experience. I had a horrible experience with Faber Service centre. I got my stove and Chimney installed 5 years back and the stove has gone out of oder atleast 4 times till date. Each time I have spent Rs 1200 for a set of switch and the knobs and again two of my stoves out of 4 are not working since December. I have called the service centre technician and he never turned up. Even yesterday he said he will visit and never visited.

I would recommend people never to buy Faber products. They are big cheats and I have made an investment of 40K during 2004, but now going through such a horrible phase where I am not able to replace my stove since it is embedded on my granite kitchen slab.
We have called the faber person for service in the first week of September to service our Hob. From then till now, we have made many calls and the standard reply we get is, " I will come in a day's time". till date they are not bothered to service the hob

    An Annual Cleaning Contract was signed on 04/04/09 vide ACC no. S858 for the periodical cleaning contract on the Faber made kitchen chimney with the authorised agent of Faber Heatkraft, M/s Avon Marketing at 55B S.P Mukherjee Road, 2nd Floor , Kolkata - 700026.
    However, we have been continuously suffering to get the periodic service in time though the payment for the same has aleady been paid in advance during the ACC signing.
    As a customer, I am just fade up with the response level and service of Faber Heatkraft as well as its service agent.

      This has reference to the teleconversation my husband had with your good self before three months. We had bought a Faber – Hob model MDR 723 Matrix last year (2009) for our newly built house. The hob was given connection for usage during the month of Feb’2009. We used the hob for nearly 3 months. During which period we come to know that it consumes a lot of Gas. Normally, cylinder consumption would be 28-30 days for us using a normal gas stove. But after using Faber hob the consumption days were reduced to 18-19 days. We are only four members in our family and we were shocked seeing the Gas consumption during the first month. Suspecting, we checked using the hob for the next two months and we were certain that it gave us very very less consumption. We immediately made an oral complaint to your distributor M/s.Eastern Communication, coimbatore. But they took such a long time to send their Service Technician for analysis. After sending their Service Technician they gave us a feedback by simply replying that less consumption is not possible in this specific model. But we again complained and this time we were informed to talked to the Sales head Mr.Sameer, Pune. We contacted him two three times over phone and explained our above problem and asked for replacement of hob. He then informed us to keep in touch with the Service head Mr.Subramanian in Coimbatore. We then contacted the Service head and he said he will mail a complaint to the head office and requested us to provide the Bill copy & Warranty details to forward to the head office. We submitted all required details and were waiting for the response. But he never turned back. After quite a month, we again called him to follow-up. But he simply replied that the head office had sent him an email informing less consumption is not possible in this specific model hob and so replacement cannot be made. But we again complained and this time we were informed to contact you directly. After that, my husband contacted you two three times and after a long talk you also promised to send your service technician to sort out the problem. But as you promised till now no person has visited us from your office and it is more than 3 months now. We have been talking about this complaint for over a period of 8 months but were not properly served for having bought such an expensive hob. We are being unfocused everytime to talk to the distributor, dealer, Sales head and the service head here and there. But having talked & complained to all the people above, no proper response was received by us. We are not using the hob now after our initial usage for the first 3 months. It is now simply lying packed & idle in our house. Every time we are diverted to talk to so and so person but till now our complaint has not been rectified. Is this the type of service you render to your customer? Do you think your service stops once you sold your product and got all your money? What about “customer satisfaction” and “after sale service”? Kindly do not think that our complaint is insignificant as we can come and prove anywhere that the hob is giving us very less consumption. Even your service people who visited for analysis had informed that the specific model stove is suitable only for flat based vessels and so consumption would be only around 18-19 days. When at the time of buying no sales person informed us about this and we were really really disappointed after hearing this. Will anyone invest such a huge amount for a product that gives poor performance? Is there any logic and does it make any sense? We especially bought your hob for its design and technology assuming that it will give us good performance in saving energy, time & Gas consumption. But only after usage we come to know that it gave us very less consumption. If your sales people had given us before hand proper information about its features we never would have bought such an expensive hob as our normal gas stove itself (the one that we are currently using) is performing well for over a period of 15 years.

      Further, the edges of the hob are very sharp like glass and when cleaning the beading comes off easily and nearly three four times I got my fingers cut. This is a manufacturing defect as the sharp edges are not bent and the beading is also not gummed properly and comes off easily while wiping up.

      By being a big organisation, we have been discarded like anything whenever we make a call for complaining and till now no proper action was also taken. That’s why we’re writing a written complaint hoping that it will make a sense and we’ll be responded in a right way. We are 100% not satisfied with the performance of your hob and so looking forward for a replacement.

        I had purchased a auto- ignition glass bodied cook top the makers of which were the reputed Faber company , about 17 months ago. i paid a big amount and purchased the best model available. but i was disturbed when i started facing problems within a few days. It would not work automatically! i had to use lighter, so what was the point in paying 3 thousand more for an auto ignition model and still using a lighter? The local dealer was very co operative and would make the services of a technician available whenever i demanded. but worst part was that they could not do much, as almost every fortnightly some technician would come and open it and do some thing here or there , lift the knobs and somehow it would work then. but again within 3-4 days it was the same story. Though i got frustrated i didnt give up, for almost 10-12 months this story went on. The technicians started losing interst and started making excuses. then i called the faber company' incharge for this area, Mr Kaushal Rathod, and requested him to look into the matter. On his instuctions perhaps , the servicing people came again , and told very frankly that they couldnt handle it anymore and would send the appliance to Pune, and they promised to come back after a few day to collect it and provide us a standby. Then again after a loooong gap they came again to collect it, but no standby was brought!!!!!!!!!! Then he said he would come back with a standby by evening, but he never turned up after that nor did we get any message from them. I am frustrated now, I have wasted a lot of time, a lot of money on phone calls other than the money spent in buying the appliance, plus i have gone through a lot of psychological strain due to all this ordeal which has been going on for such a long time. the company refuses to give us another piece, they are unable to rectify the problem. I am requesting the consumer court to come to my rescue please help

          The Chairman/ CEO,

          Dear Sirs,
          I bought a Faber Chimney Sloaris 680 LTW + Faber Cook Top CTX 360 AI from M/S Lotus electronic supermarket, Bhopal, India, vide bill No 60C903144 dated Aug 15,2009.

          The Chimney is working very well but your cook top has been giving trouble since a one. The small burner cannot be auto ignited no matter what you do. It only burns by external ignition ( match box )

          The rubber lining at the lower end of the burner covering the edge does not hold while cleaning the cook top. The edge is so sharp that it would cut your finger all the time when you clean the cook top. I have cut my finger so deep that I had to get 7 stitches.

          This complain has been send to your dealer in Bhopal by Lotus vide there delivery challan No 11910 date 14.11.2009 but still this problem is not solve. Either you solve this problem or change the burner . I have been talking to Mr Rakesh , from your customer care , Pune as well as your dealer but No action has been taken . The Dealer service Engineer has not been able to solve my problem as he also agree that there is some defect in the burner ( the engineer also confirm this to Mr. Jaipal of Lotus ).

          Pl look into this matter and get me a solution.

            I have Faber Hob and Chimney with lifetime warranty. The hob is an expensive glass hob. For the last 4 months thet hob has had several problems. This all started after the service person came and cleaned the hob.

            First complaint is that he misbehaved in the house. The service people are very sub standard. Un educated and not technical.

            Second is that they never fix the problem when they come.

            Third, one of the hobs just turns off by itself half way through and leaks gas whichis very hardous to fire in the family.

            I would like to tell Faber that i WILL SUE THEM FOR DAMAGES in every single court in the country in India, in the US and in Germany if anything ever happens to my family due to this.

            I am going to file a complain about FABER behaving badly to family folks.

            I am going to take FABER to court unless or other wise they look into this problem in the next 3 days.
            Mr Reghu is the technician and he looks like a mental wreck.

            He is dangerous to be allowed inside house.

            My complaints are also not answered.

              I purchased a top of the range chimney from Faber in December 2008. Faber insisted their engineer must fit it and this was chargeable. The engineer who arrived indicated that he had never fitted one before and could not help. A second engineer managed to install it but the chimney made the most awful noise and was unusable. Customer service was very bad and numerous calls had to be made for engineer to visit. Engineer would not arrive on the date and time promised and further telephone calls were needed. When they did attend none of them was able to rectify the fault.

              We had to use another electrician who examined the chimney and found that one of the bearings inside the chimney was damaged and bent and he also found broken glass pieces inside. These were contributing to the high volume generated. We have been sold a high end product which is damaged and should never have been sold to a customer.

              Faber is making money selling damaged appliances. They need to be prosecuted for this practice.

              i g.rajkumar bought Crystal 40CT AI hardly fourteen months before but I gave complaint thirteenth month from my date of purchase after two weeks a service person came and said that out of four burner three burner between bottom burner top brass cup there is seating problem. Therefore they have to replace three set of burners each cost of Rs.550/- plus service charge and further there is air block while stove in on and dub dub sound comes often. I come to know this Crystal 40Ct Ai model is failure one due to manufacture fault. Hence kindly replace CTX 360 MTB and i ready to pay half of the new once price. Kindly do as a favour because we both are state government employ . As special case this consideration may be done.

              Faber — Bulbs of Kitchen Chimney getting fused repeatedly

                sir we purchased faber hob from vasanth&co bill no [protected] NNR on4thoct2009 stiil it is not working faber service men came to my house for 5 times but no use i went your T.Nagaroffice many times and gave them complient in writing .we purchesed so many house hold items from you shop. we always trust your shop only. pls ask them to replace to better model we will pay the diffrence.now days they are not lifting the phone how can i call them so i request you people do rectify the problam thank u my phone [protected] venkatesam

There is no response from your side .I remember several times, already 5days completed.I already send my registration card but there is no feedback .                   I had requested for servicing of my 4 burner cooking with company nominated service centre (Avon marketing Kolkata). I was given a date which was a week later along with a docket No. A few days later some one from the office reconfirmed the complaint and suggested thet some technician would be attending to it shortly, but it is almost a month now and still noboby had attended to my complaint

                  i booked a complaint three weeks before they sent a person name jegatheesan phone [protected]
                  came and cleaned and went the same day night it got blocked not in use for the past two weeks
                  again i approached the office the incharge name VANI ph [protected] again no use they are not worth to operate after sales work this is the service you provide to a customer
                  I am also agree, one of the worst after sales service faber INdia have
                  I bought chimney from Space Soultions Pune a week back and called customer care for installation immediately but it's been week now no one called me. Chimney is in the box yet.
                  I purchsed corsa cooking range at Madurai / Tamil Nadu / India.
                  The representative came to my house for demo and asked for Rs 300.
                  I feel it is not fair to ask money for Demo.

                  The product is selected based on its quality & and service.

                  The brand image will go down if the service goes like this

                    My biggest mistake till take...I bought Faber cooktop few months back.There was a problem with the burner & I had called up the service centre in Pune ( Mob: No Of The Concern Person- [protected], 26930972,[protected] one month back, then again few days back but their person never turned up to check the fault.These dont understand that they are playing with our lives as any burner problem is a serious problem.
                    I would like to request this company to change the service persons who dont even bother to pick up the calls & never give service ( I am not talking about good service I am expecting just service).
                    This product is not that great, you can get the same product from other brands also..So I would like to recommend to a new buyer to go in for some other brand & not with Faber. I am sure after this complaint also my problem is not going to be sorted out by the company as this complaint is the common complaint from many of their clients who have done a mistake of purchasing the products of Faber.

                      I purchased a Faber chimney model No. Tender LTW from Rastogi Traders, Swaroop Park, Sahibabad on 31st october 2006, which has a life time warranty (mentioned in the bill also). Despite my repeated complaints to the company service centre at Delhi they are not ready to change the motor under the warranty.                         I purchased a Faber chimney model No. CLEO700LTW from Capital Electronic, VIP, Kolkata on 04th March 2009, which not properly installed the kitchen became smoky during food preparation etc. Despite my repeated complaints to the company service centre at Kolkata they have not cared onit.                             BEWARE:
                            i have a faber electric chimney and is continually serviced with a gap of 6 months from faber in bangalore. we call[protected] and they send the technician. it so happened today 17/10/2009 that the chimney stopped working and we had to call the above tel no.there was a response from tel no[protected] to my landline no[protected], within ten minutes. later a technician by name raghu calls up my wife's mobile no and lands up at my place . his mobile no is [protected]. he says one of the motor has to be replaced and insists that he takes the motor with him and get the replacement on monday 19/10/2009, for which my wife has refused. later i find that there is a loose connection in the power supply and the chimney is perfect.
                            to report this incident when i call back the usual tel no[protected] they conveniently deny that there was a complaint registered and on the top of it they allege that we have got in touch with the technician directly .
                            there are proof for all the calls made and recieved and inspite of that they wash their hands off which shows that its an organised cheating racket.

                            One day some one will bash him up.

                            Faber is the loser. I also had complained similarly but no action taken.

                            I wont recommend FABER to anyone unless this Mr Reghu is punsihed.
                            I faced a similar issue with Faber Service last week when a technician came to clean the Faber electric hob in my house. He pointed out that two parts were missing from the hob- the parts required for the electric circuit and these cost around Rs. 1000/-

                            I called up their Manager right away and informed that his previous technician who had come a few months ago had stolen the hob parts. I didn't have the bill as that service was done about 6 months ago.The manager very casually said that if there is no bill it is difficult to find the guy because it will take too much of their time and effort to look up their records and get the guy's name!!

                            Nothing has been done by the company to resolve this issue. I DO NOT trust them anymore and find them highly highly UNPROFESSIONAL for for not taking responsibility for the loss caused to me as a customer!!

                              faberkraft with accessories was purchased from mahim dealer a year ago and need proper maintenance unit is installed at A303 vasant oscar mulund west mumbai 400 080 and inspite of best efforts to call service staff no action is taken.will you kindly depute your service staff for proper maintenance.my phone[protected] or mobile no.[protected]
                              action for cleaning and regular maintenance of oven and chimney is urgently needed

                                This is a company with the worst service , they don't turn up for at least 3 days after complain.
                                One burner on my 3 burner stove is not working properly from day one ,the flame just goes off when something is still cooking, while the gas continues to come out .
                                Few days back it went off and the gas which was still coming out caught fire form the other burners.

                                I have returned the stove to the dealer i brought it from and waiting for response from the company , they did not even bother to give me call and I had to call them to which they responded once.

                                I need to get my money back and they should take such a life -threatening product back.

                                They should be booked under for being a threat to life
                                I have also bought 3 burnet cooktop & experiencing problem with one burner & Faber is only brand name & they are not having any proper customer care model. I would never recommand anyone to go for Faber as they are the worst in providing service.

                                I have bought is 2 years back and since then i am reporting problem but no resolution to my problem as of now.

                                  We have purchased a faber chimney and have always had trouble getting proper service. Moreover, recently our chimney makes a lot of noise and upon repeated calls to Faber Service centre at Kolkata, there no answer on the telephone or the telephone is busy. Even last time, the service engineer was sent after at least 8 calls and after about a month of lodging the complaint. The problem still persists and we are fed up.
                                  I bought one on 15/10/2009 and till date i, e, 22/102009 no one turned up to even install the chimney and the gar burner !! pathetic buyers be ware.
                                  Poor response from service centre

                                  Since the day I bought Faber, 4 burner cook top I have registered complaints . There is no follow up form the service centre in Ahmedabad. Ultimately I gave up registering complaints.Just fed up of their excuses.Within a year the burners have started chipping off in spite of cleaning the cook top myself with utmost care. One of the Knobs came off, its been a almost 2 years and no one has come to replace it.
                                  The design is not suited for Indian utensils and is dangerous.
                                  i agree, a month past, complaint registered for the problem of remote of faber chimney. I contacted the customer care, which everytime says it will be done today, which nobody attends to give the service, its very poor service in south goa.

                                    One burner does not ignite for more than 3 to 5 minutes in the morning time even after holding ignition switch contineously. Lot of gas is getting wasted and it is a concern for the safety. The service engineers give some technical reason and go off. This is happening from the day of purchase. 4 times the service engineers have attended the problem but could not solve it.

                                    I would need this problem to be solved at the earliest, since I carry a safety risk and lot of money is wasted in terms of gas wastage.

                                      I bought a Faber GL CT 40 ABC cook top from Dass electronics in Pune on May 09. I went to the store and picked up the merchandise.

                                      Within 2 month the burner were not lighting. So I complained and they came after 2 weeks after several calls to Dass electronics as they were driving this warranty. Dass in turns calls Faber. Faber fixed it.

                                      In September 09 out of 4 burner 3 of them stopped working. So again I complained. after repeated call to Dass electronics and Dass to Faber they came after 3 weeks and said that starter circuit has to be replaced. They said that they don't have parts so it will take 2 days. As usual Faber didn't come after 2 days and I informed Dass. Faber came after 1 week and they replace the circuit. In the process they broke the white stick out parts for one burner. As my wife was at home and she didn't check properly , so Faber technicial took complete advantage. I came back home in the night and found that not only that part is broken but burner is not lighting. So now only 3 are working.

                                      I complained again and they came after 1 week (though they said that they will come in 2 days). This time they said that the broken parts are not part of warranty and I have to pay for it including the service charge. During the conversation they started selling me the chimney.

                                      First of all the product I purchaged by paying Rs 8500 got broke down twice in 4 months. Then during the repair work it broke the parts ( I am sure purposely so that they can earn extra money) and now they are asking money for repair. On top of that they started selling me chimney. This product doesn't have anything other than gas pipe network and small circuit for starter. With this only the product break down so frequenly.

                                      So ITS A REALLY BAD PRODUCT. NO ONE SHOUDL BUY IT.

                                      My life will go on. But I have decided that I am done with Faber. In future I will NOT take (forget buying) a niddle from them. I will go with anyother vendor.

                                      I had bought faber cook top ctx-30ABC BEFORE 1 & HALF YEAR, AFTER SOME TIME THERE WAS A LIKEAGE IN THE SMALL AND LARGE BURNER, AS I CONTACTED THE CUSTOMER CARE THEY REGISTERED THE COMPLAINT AND GOT IT DONE, BUT IT TOOK 2-3 DAYS FOR THE WORK.


                                      RECENTLY ON 5/09/2009 I HAD SAME PROBLEM FOR LIKEAGE WHICH WAS SEVERE AS THE FLAME COMES OUT TO THE NEARBY PERSON, I CALLED THE CUSTOMER CARE AND REGISTERED THE COMPLAINT, THEY SAID THE NEXT DAY THE TECNICAL PERSON WILL COME AND REPAIR IT.

                                      THERE WAS NO NONE OF THEM CAME FOR 3-DAYS. WHEN I CONTACTED AGAIN THEY TOLD THAT THE TECHNICIAN AS GONE TO RAJKOT, WILL COME TOMMOROW.
                                      THE NEXT DAY NO ONE CAME, AS I INQUIRED THEY SAID WILL COMING TOMMOROW AND GAVE THE COMPLAINT NO-1093626.ON 10/09/09.

                                      AS I HAD ALREADY MENTION IN MY COMPLAINT ABOUT THE SEVERITY STILL THEY DONT UNDERSTAND THAT PART.
                                      ON 11/09/09 IN AFTERNOON DURING COOKING THE FLAME FROM THE BURNER CAME OUT AND MY MOTHER'S FINGER S AND HAND CAUGHT FIRE AND WERE BURNT.
                                      IN EMERGENCY I CALLED THE LOCAL PERSON WHO GOT IT REPAIRED.

                                      WHAT THE CUSTOMER CARE THEY ARE DOING . IN THE EVENING THEY GAVE ME A CALL AND SAID THAT OUR PERSON WILL COME TOMMOROW TO DO THE JOB.

                                      WHAT THE HELL IS CUSTOMER CARE FOR, IF THEY DONT UNDERSTAND THE SEVERITY OF THE PROBLEM.

                                      I bought a Faber GL 40CT AI cook top from Vasanth and co, Chennai on 03/06/2009.
                                      Within 2 month the burner were not lighting automatically
                                      I called Faber, but unless you scream and shout they dont turn up.After 4 days they turned up and Faber fixed it.

                                      Than again on 24/10/2009 burner were not lighting automatically and Flame from Burners were not lighting properly.
                                      Now they say that they have to replace the burners and they dont have spare so it will take 10 days.
                                      I had a Glen stove prior to this and it was a much better stove than this crap.
                                      Pls everybody stay away from FABER...
