Sir, i had purchased faber chimney during year 2007. This is a hopeless product, having poor quality and applications according to manual.The product is very hopeless, not working properly due to poor suction quality. Smoke is not being sucked as per norms.
Company is befooling customers by giving false life time warrenty.While customer have to pay rs 400/- to company engineer on every visit.Company charges for every replaced part. What type of warrenty it is? It is not understood. Now this is a asset for us to continue with it unnessarily due to life long warrenty awarded by company. The look of chimney is attractive but result is very poor. I have purchased a asset which has no use.However, i have wasted rs 13500/-

Faber customer service in kolkatta is the most disgusting team of people i have ever encountered in my life. They have no clue about what needs to be done. I have a years contract with them and this has been the worst decision of my life. They continously called me on my mobile anlose d asked for someone who lives in a totally different part of kolkatta. Then they have the audacity to ask me how my no. is tagged to his name. I Have had nothing but problems and i would like a response asap as i am really close to a writing in a newspaper about the audacity of the of the call cantre in kolkatta. Anyone in authority in Faber please feel free to respond as iam going to take this to a newspaper with names of staff really soon. Iam so disgusted with Faber customer service team that iam going to get this sorted by hook or by crook.

    The Faber cooktop purchased by L.P.Rai ,DGM of State Bank of iNdia, staying in B- 8, GF , Lajpatnagar , New Delhi was repaired by technicial of Frankie Faber vide Service note no, S 2340 dated 6 Juna 2011 and charged Rs. 701/- for teh same . Since technoiician left it is not working properly. Several calls made to teh technician at the no. given in service note it is not attended. It is really bad customer service from wold leadr in cook top and other cooking applinaces company. Pl. send teh technician immediately to attend complaint.
    WE PURCHASED ONE 3 BURNER TOP FROM FABER JUST TWO MONTHS BACK.THE MODEL HAS A BLACK TOP. ATTRACTED BY THE APPEARANCE WE BOUGHT IT AND ALSO FOR THE BRAND. TWO DAYS BACK WHILE COOKING WAS ON THE ENTIRE TOP BROKE AND ALL GLASS PEICES WENT OFF THROUGH THE KITCHEN AND DINING.
    FORTUNATELY MY WIFE WAS JUST FIVE FEET AWAY OR OTHERWISE SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INJURED.
    WHEN THE MATTER WAS REPORTED WE ARE TOLD THAT DUE TO HIGH HEAT THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED. CANNOT UNDERSTAND THE STOVE IS USED ONLY FOR HEATING AND THAT BEING THE CASE IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DESIGNED FOR THAT PURPOSE. I AM YET TO GET ANY RESPONSE FROM THE COMPANY. REALLY A HORRIBLE SERVICE FROM SUCH A REPUTED COMANY

      I had bought a Faber Gas burner GB 40 MT Sr. No. H[protected] on 30th April 2011 through our Kitchen contractor(Mr. Jayaprakash) from Sampurna Enterprises-Bangalore. As the kitchen was not ready we commisioned the burner only in the first week of May. We found the following 2 problems on this burner.

      1)One of the burner was not getting ignited. 2) On the other bigger burner, flame was not coming on the inner diffuser.

      We complainted to Faber on 11th of May - complaint no. [protected] dated 11/05/11. A technician(Mr. Abraham) came after 3 days and set the first problem right. On the second problem, as he was unable to solve, he went back saying that he will talk to his senior and revert back. He also indicated that the perticular burner may have to be replaced.

      Almost a month has gone by with out any response from Faber. I talked to faber Bangalore servicing department - Mr. Karthik on [protected] and Mr. Mani on [protected]. But so far no result.

      We are not able to use this burner as the inner diffuser emit gas without burning and as a result the accumulated gas burns suddenly with a bang. This could lead to a major accident.

      Please do the needful at the earliest.

        I have purchased a Faber Chimney from Sekar Stores, Ambattur on 8th May, 2011. I was assured of installation the next day. But till date installation has not taken place. I have been contacting Sekar Stores and also Faber's office at Chennai. Both the manufacturer and seller commit that the installation will take place either today or tomorrow. But nothing is happening. I am frustrated and has been put to lot of mental agony. I even prefer to return the unit if installation does not take place by tomorrow. I have also registered a compliant and the compliant no.is [protected]. The compliant was registered by Mr.Kunal today in their call center at Pune. I have also spoken to their Chennai office at 45128497 many times and their response it totally unacceptable. Every time I call them I have to furnish all my details and they will say we will send our service person. The manufacturer Faber should answer when they want to sell the chimney why don't they have enough people to do the installation / service? Their dealer should tell how much time it will take for installation of the unit sold. I would like to have resolution to my vexed issue of installation of the Chimney or else they should take back the unit and return me the money.

        I purchased a faber gb465hob and glass chimney from vasanth and co adayar,chennai. after the purchase has been made the installation guys have not come for the past 3 days despite us calling many times.Is this the kind of service they offer?

          2 NOS OF BLASTS HAPPENED IN THE FABER KITCHEN HOBB IN THE PERIOD OF 10 DAYS.
          Date of Purchase 26-6-09, Dealers name Kitch- in-World, Model no. of Hobb is FUSION 46555P, serial no. [protected].
          The first blast happened on 5-5-11, after which the first complaint was lodged with the dealer and we came to know that the dealer has shut down his operations and he is no more dealing with the faber hetakraft products and given the contact no. of Mr. Sachin who is sales executive of Faber Haetkraft Distributor situated in Okhla. After that when we contacted the distributor at the given no. the distributor further given the no. of some local service personnel who does not seems to be authorized to carry out the service of the hobb, and then the complaint was attended on 11-5-11, and the service personnel assured that the complaint has been attended, repaired the hobb and there should not be any problem in the future. TO our shock and dismay the another blast happened on 14-5-11 and the complainant was busy cooking for the family when the incident happened and there was blaze coming underneath the hobb and kitchen cabinatry and the complainant Mrs. Anita Bhayana suffered burns on the feets and legs, the salwar kameez and duppatta she was wearing caught fire and she screamed for help and she was lucky that other family members came to rescue her from the flames, and some how switch off the LPG supply, other wise god would have known the consequences. the complainant Mrs. Anita Bhayana was immediately taken to the doctor as she suffered burns on her legs and feets and was lucky enough that she was safe.

          Further being the family member I would like to ask that is the company is not bothered about such incidents after the sales of there products, is company is not liable to provide some trained and authorized service personnel to attend to the complaints of such nature where the highly flameable dangerous product like LPG is involved, and what is the reassurance of the fact that the same thing does not happened again.

          Further I would like to add that the company like FABER HEATKRAFT and its products should not be used by the consumers and should be banned from the INDIAN market with the immediate effects and the strict action should be taken against the complaint of this nature, as this is the matter of deep concern and life of the people, using FABER products.

            I had bought a Faber chimney and a cook top on 20.04.2011 and got it delievered to my house on 24.04.2011. Got it installed on 26.04.2011 and found that cook top is not functioing properly.
            Registered a call on 27th April 2011 and got no solution to my complaint after daliy (3) reminders.

            If this is the kind of service they provide in starting, what about 1 year later.

            I want to replace the products.

              I had purchased a 4 burner cooking gas stove of the Faber company and within days noticed that the gas was leaking. I made several complaints, considering that the gas stove was still under a year's warrantee and many technicians came and without thoroughly checking said that the gas stove was fine until one day a technician told me that the product was defective and he will fix it. I insisted that if the product is defected and still under warrantee then he should replace it, especially because the gas has been leaking which is very risky. The technician was rude and shouted at me so I called up the Faber company and told them about what was happening and the sweet lady on the phone suggested I put the complain in writing.
              A few days later, a got a call from a man called Shailendra from Abhinav Enterprises, saying that usually they do not replace any product (defective, life threatening or not) but because I had put in a written complaint, they would replace it in December 2010.

              The same rude technician who screamed on me came with a dirty greasy standby cooking gas and took the one I had purchased.

              Today, its the 4th of May, 2011, I had written an email to Faber in March but didn't get a reply back from them and their call centre reps have said that they have registered my complaint and shortly I will hear from Abhinav enterprises who are responsible for sending me the new gas stove.

              Now, I am wondering whether I will ever to hear from Faber or not?

                I bought a 3 burner glass top Crystal Faber Hob last January (17th Jan.2010). I got a call from a one of the service associate of Faber to service the hob in the month of Feb.2011. Incidently, I had the following problems, when they called. So, I asked them to service the same.

                1. Flame was spreading on to the plates below the burner.
                2. The flow of gas in the bigger burner is not proper and suddenly goes off when the knob is on.

                One person by name Vijayakumar attended the problem. He doesn't even know how to dismantle the hob. When he left, I could see that the knob was stuck because of some solution he dropped in it.

                Then I gave a complaint to Hi-Care (customer service of Faber Heatcraft). He completely dismantled the hob and did the servicing by replacing the knob. When they dismantled the hob, they were unable to unscrew the knob from the pipes and hence damaged the pipes. To arrest leak of gas, they fixed it up with some glue. Now, the knob is working but created another problem that I am unable to minimize the flame. It burns with the same intensity even if the knob is turned for minimum flame. The other problems still persist (flame spreading on to the plates below the burner and flow of gas in the bigger burner suddenly goes off when the knob is on).

                They when I called up the Faber Customer Care Number, they directed me to Smart Care (Another Service associate of Faber). They came and dismantled everything and said the pipes has to be replaced and they would charge Rs.1000/-. I still said ok because I bought the Stove for around Rs.6,000. But they didn't turn after that. After Frequent follow up, I could only hear that there is no stock of those spares. I even wrote an email to Faber Customer Care Directly, but in vain.

                I am completely unhappy with the service and the way things have gone.

                I am choosing this as my last resort to sort out the issue.

                    I purchased three burner cooktop of Faber make. within a year of warranty medium size burner got shrunk .This was got replaced from the company on repeated calls.After one year (lapse of warranty) ,medium and large size burners got shrunk.The compliant was lodged about 5months back with the ludhiana service centre.After repeated calls and visit to the centre I failed to receive any replacement for the burners.Rather I was told that burners will be replaced when received from the co. Due to non usable conditiion of the burners I was foced to buy a new gas stove.This way I suffered a loss of Rs.10,000/- (5,500/-new stove+ 4500/- Faber stove).
                    While buying A Faber product I never thoght of so much harasment from the company.

                      On the 15th of April 2011, I booked a servicing appointment for my Faber chimney for Saturday, the 23rd of April 2011. Spent the whole day today, chasing the call centre persons who kept asking why the service centre had not called me up!!! After 6 calls and 6 hours, and a lot of threats, I got a call saying that it would cost me Rs. 400 but it would be done on Monday. We are a working family and had made time today and cannot take leave on Monday.

                      This is totally irresponsible and unacceptable.

                        since three months our chimny is not working . we registered a complain at margao dealer talaulikar at fatima chambers,as well on the phone at panjim branch.even spoke to the incharge there.a mechanic was sent to replace the chimney bulb,but he left the wire over the bulb which caused short circuit in the chimney and untill now the problem is not yet rectified,even after giving many complains,in the panjim branch they that said they will replace everything that is gone in the chimney cause it is on life time warranty.
                        please see into the matter as soon as possible.cause we have no more patience to complain again and again.

                          I have raised a complaint at Faber Heatkraft customer service center on Feb 7, 2011 via toll free number[protected]. The request was to replace the top glass of the chimney which got broken during our cleaning and handling. The replacement was a paid service which I agreed as it doesn’t come under warranty.

                          Inspite of multiple followups with the customer care and the local service stores, I have not got the service. The seller is not bothered about customer service, just keen on selling its production without aftersales support as promised at the point of sale. If the paid service and spares supply is in such condition how would it be for warranty products and services.


                          Some of the inputs regarding the complaint:

                          1. Complaint #[protected] dt. Feb 7, 2011

                          2. Service requested : Replacement of broken Chimney top glass of identical model and design which will be paid by me for the spare and fittings.

                          3. Product purchase details : Faber Lifestyle Kitchens Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore, Inv # 18353 dt.14/9/2007. Rs. 13990/ – + Installation charges.

                          4. Follow up call for the spare was with Mr. Bhushan (customer care), Mr. Mani (Support stores), Mr.Kartik (Support stores supervisor).

                          I had made multiple calls to the above company representatives, They never called me back for any updates and also not providing me contacts of the Pune manufacturing locaiton sales & service executives.

                          Please record my complain and let me know if you need any more inputs.

                            never believe the product of their brand or other features.. the companies are keen in selling the products.. dont bother customers for after sales service.. its just a 3 DAYS BEFORE I BOUGHT A new faber chimney. the service is VERY POOR IN INSTALLATION ITSELF. the STAFF THEMSELVES DONT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT.. AND MAKE A DEFAULT INSTALLATION. me after finding the fault , logged a complaint again.. but they blamed as if the fault is with us... the STAFF DONT KNOW PRODUCT TECHNOLOGY AT ALL.then find out how poor they are... lieiving charges on customers of their fault.. good business. worst ethics.

                            I had brought a chimney model no BF500BK three years ago in Kolkata. I had made a cleaning service contract with
                            "AVON MARKETING"
                            15/A, DEBENDRA GHOSH ROAD,

                            My contract no ACC s 1626. The contract was for 10 service and for one year. They only provide me 8 service within one year and said we have two more service to get under the contract. They never came for service on time. Everytime i had called them then they send their person. When I called them for the 9th one they told that in the same contract no they found another name.

                            HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? For the last one year i called them and use the same number and they send their person. I am continueing call them for the last two weeks all in vain. They only beat about the bush nothing else. The person picked up the phone talking and trying to misguide me.

                            I want to know is Aven Marketing an authorised service centre of Faber? While they said so.

                            I had purchased a Faber Chimney Black Cleoin the month of Dec'07.From the day of purchase the chimney when started produces a horrible sound.The matter was reported to the service centre, they had send mechanics for several times but the sound could not be reduced.I would request you to make necessary arrangement so that the chimney could either be changed or the sound could be reduced so that the machine could be used.
                            Jab hum parathe ya koi chiz talte he to pure ghar me dhua ho jata he. Humne diwali ke samay chinaney kharidi thi. Samay samyay par plat saph bhi karate hai

                            When I bought the chimney i was told installation service will be provided. the service person did not arrive for a over a week. On repeated calls a person did come and gave a list of petty jobs that must be done before he would install which required another set of technicians. After getting it all done we called him again but he left saying that the 4" hole for piping in a wooden board shoudl have been a 6" inch hole. and that making the hole =6" WAS NOT HIS SCOPE OF WORK.

                            Refusal of the company's technician to come at the scheduled times so that we can coordinate his visit with a visit from a carpenter and an electrician and a porter to "serve him" and assist him in the installation job has resulted in my chimney lying in a beautifully packed condition for over 3 months. And lets not forget for inaugrating the machine by pressing the "ON" button (thats all left for him to do, is it not?) when all the oter technician charges Rs.700/- Can i have my money back so that i can go buy a chinese mchine which costs half and gives a better installaiton service?

                            Dear Sirs

                            Above machine was purchased by this writer on last 15th April, from
                            Steel Junction-Kolkata.

                            Right from the installation, I am facing trouble with your product.

                            - Next few days after installation, we relized that, there is no any
                            differece by running the Chimmny.
                            After a few days, we called your Service centre (Avon Marketing, 55B,
                            S.P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata 700026, phone [protected]), the person
                            checked throughout and told us, that was not fitted perfectly.
                            M-seal was not applied in the joint of the Chimmny & exhost pipe - and
                            he applied.

                            Then after a few days, I noticed that there is no any remarkable
                            improvement. I verified the result with my
                            one of my nabour, who is using product of 'Kuchina' - and found a
                            fantustic result at his kitchen.
                            That Kitchen is smale free, smoke free and noise free.

                            Again I called your Service centre, raised the points - 'smale',
                            'smoke' & 'noise'. But in all these 3 points,
                            your person told me a common answar - 'every thing in order, it is in
                            accepable range...'.

                            Now I am sick and tired with my Chimmny.

                            This is a very common problem with all imported goods/ appliances. They authorise somebody for after sales service, unfortunately who is an indian and ultimately the cheat component is reflected in post sales service. I have had experience with L.G T.V'S and this Faber brand chimneys which is MADE IN ITALY.You have to file a case in consumer courts only to get the best out of these rogues who are out there to harass you to any extent by their poor service as i am facing in Mumbai.The company has to provide a second line support system to save their goodwill or else you better throw away their product and Boycott the same in future. Give due mass publicity for boycotting of such goods to ensure at least other indians are not cheated by such business thugs.

                            I have purchased a faber chimney a few months back. The chimney is not worlink properly as oil is dripping from the very first day of the purchase.Repeated phone calls to the service centre has turn out in no response aand now the company is not ready to take any liability. Either the chimney should be repalced or the money should be refunded.

                            im jothi im also agree with ytour complaint. Faber chimney works bad. It didn't sucks the oily greese fully. It is not easy to clean also. Our kitchen now becomes greesy plz dont buy this product
                            Pls tlak to Faber customer care [protected] for proper installations. If installation done by any local unathorised person the issue may arise like this. Proper installation will never have this type of issue. This is best global brand and have thousands of satisfied customers across the world.

                            I agree, I got the Faber Chimney Installed in June 2010 after 3 days of installation, it stopped working and from then I am still following up with the Customer Care to get the issue resolved still the Service engineer is yet to come and solve the problem.
                            I have a Faber chimney for which I have entered into an annual contract for servicing (for 6 service)(application no. 003821). However the service is very poor. Although they told that every two months they will service on their own, they actually never come on their own and they have to be reminded that a servicing is due. Moreover they promise a date and repeatedly fail to send technician and keep on changing the date. They do not provide any docket number for the job and so easy for them to deny. I am fed up but there is no provision for cancelling the AMC. Now we can only depend on GOD.

                            cata chimney — poor service

                            Suffered from cata company's poor service . I bought cata chimeny in month of march after two months it started problem .


                            Since then I am waiting for their technician visit. I called them up many time and told about the problem but getting no responce.
                            I agree it too...these people are really a big fraud...m following them for my services to be done.Not evn a single has been done yet...nw they say the technician which had come for our AMC has left.They are just not bothered for the customers after selling their products.

                            Its a fake, fraud and a worst company...plz dnt believe them a keen request..

                            Faber has one of the worst after sales service. I purchased a MARS90 model chimney and signed up for an annual cleaning contract mandating 6 services in a year. for every service I have to spend hours over the phone convincing n number of people at Faber's end about attending my chimney which is obligatory on their part.
                            I'm highly disappointed with the service ( RATHER THE LACK OF IT).
                            Is there a way we can pursue this matter legally?

                              We have been calling the service centre of faber india pune since last 30 days for repairing of the hob purchased from them, but their service centre is not sending the technician and always doing the false promises that the the engineer will be coming shortly.

                                I have purchased one Faber SS chimney at a cost of Rs.8,000/- from M/S Viveks, Fort Station Road, Trichy on 9.1.2011. At that time the sales representative has informed that within a day or two, persons from service center will come and install the same in my residence. she also informed that the bulbs in the chimney, which was not functioned, will be rectified at the time of installation. But the installation people came and completed partial work on 14.1.11 and informed that the rest will be completed after Pongal on 17.1.2011.

                                But so far nobody has turned up for completing / rectifying the defects in the chimney. I don't understand how the sales person has promised installation within a day or two and how the company can supply a unit with defects at the time of sales itself. I accepted the unit with the belief that the problem is only a minor and the service people can rectify it immediately.

                                I was advised by my friends to file a complaint with the consumer court and I am still waiting for the company / service center to do the necessary repair before taking the extreme step

                                Faber — Installation delay

                                I had purchased my Faber chimney from Faber Galeria on the 9th April, Thursday. It is 15th April Wednesday today and till date the product has not been installed. They promised installation in 2 days, but nothing has happened. When I called up the person in Faber Galeria (Anand) I was told that they have already informed the customer service people for installation. This was at 6pm on Monday 13 April. I received a call from the service dept in 5 mins time only to understand that Anand had called them up for installation only after I called him on Monday. I was assured of installation on Tuesday, when I called Anand up at 7pm on Tuesday, I was told that they will come after that. Which means at about 9pm. They did not. Anand told me that the people are in the vicinity and would come. I called up the service center today, wednesday, only to understand that there was no one in the vicinity yesterday and that they can come for installtion only tomorrow, thursday. BAG of LIES. Not worth buying at all.

                                We had purchased Faber Dish washer From Rathna Cools, T.Nagar S/n.36990 vide Inv.8923/7.1.12 forRs.36990/-. But till now it has not been installed. Why they are taking so much time to install. We have paid the amount fully and no dues to be paid. When we enquired abount installation they are postponing day by day. We can't tolerate any more. One person came and gone half way through. Is this a customer satisfaction? Then how can we purchase branded item like faber. We are very much annoyed about this kind of attitude from faber. I need the dishwasher to be installed today itself.

                                Take immediate action.

                                  I had purchased Faber chimney and hob and getting it serviced through M/s Vigneshwara Enterprises, Ulsoor, Bangalore (Ph.[protected] regularly. Since last 2-3 services, we are facing some or the other problems in the hob after 2-3 days after service. Recently, I got them serviced in December 2010 and after 2-3 days, two burners were not working properly. This may be due to the work done by inexperienced service personnel. In spite of my repeated requested, they have not sent the persons for getting the burners repaired. Another problem with them is "Punctuality". The service peronnel will not keep up the timings which they us their appointments, because of which I am facing lot of problems. It is almost 1 months over, my problem has not been taken care by your above service centre,.
                                  I hope you will look into this and attend to it immediately.

                                    FABER is very Bad company. And one of the famous dealer/Showroom LOTUS in Indore is worst then FABER. They gave defacted 3 burner cook top/ stove with purchase of Chimany.

                                    The burner rings are not good , there rubber are of low quality which get loose on heating. And burner also does not work properly.

                                    Inspite of folowing since 5 months they are not ready to change it. And now when we sent back the product they are sitting on it since a month. We dont have extra stove and we are in great trouble due to these useless people.

                                      Sir,

                                      Please note I purchased a 3 Burner Faber Cook Top from your dealers "Sterling...." in Dr.Rajkumar Road, Rajajinagar, Bangalore on the 4th Nov'09 ((Cash Memo No.: 997).

                                      The rubber profile on the sides were loose on purchase itself but I did not think too much about it at the time. But with time the profile came loose completely exposing an extremely sharp edge all around. We tried to glue it back using industrial glue which did not solve the problem. Recently while cleaning the cook top my wife's fingers got nearly sliced through due to this razor edge at which point I called the local Faber Service Centre in Bangalore who were most uncaring or responsive. The only reply each time I called was that the "profile" was not in stock ! I then put in a complaint (Ref. No.[protected] on the Toll Free No. whose response was also poor.

                                      Finally after repeatedly pressing Mr.Martin at the Bangalore Service Center, he sent Service Technician Mr.Basavaraj who looked at the problem and mentioned that it was a "Design Fault" of Faber's and that he could not do anything about it.

                                      Design fault or not since this is a serious safety issue I would like to know what is the Company's response in this matter.
