The electric gas lighter in my faber cooking range has not been working for over 2 months now and i have to use matchsticks. very inconveneint when you have to light the oven or grill. Faber sent their service representative to have a look at it and they promised to replace it the moment they had the part...but its been over 1 month now.

    I had purchased the stove 2 months back only. I had compliant that the Gas stove is not working fine 1 month back but the concerned person came to my house after 2 week after the compliant and he said he need the Xerox copy of the original bill and he took 1 week of time to collect the Xerox. Finally he said it will take 2-3 weeks to get the product by the mean time the Gas stove glass bursted. When I asked for a replacement he said he will not replace rather will service and I need to pay for it, so I asked what is the guarantee That it won’t happen again so give me replacement I asked, he said he cannot.

    Please help me out......

      I had purchased th following items from your dealer -M/S AAA PEE APPLIANCES-CHENNAI; PH-[protected],[protected],.

      1. Faber Deco Chimney0Ltw perla Energy 1200 90 (F.S)
      2. faber Hob-Mdr Mtx (F.S)

      The above items were purcahsed on 18.5.2010 and the same were installed by the 3rd week of June.

      I regret to inform you that the Chimney was not installed properly and the top cover collapsed on 14.7.2010. I had lodged a complaint on the same day but no one has responded. My frequent calls to your dealer has also not yeilded any results.Now they are not answering my calls and just disconnecting on seeing my Number.

      From yesterday there is a gas leak from the Hob..

      I request you to please take immediate action as the gas leak could lead to a serious accident.

        Dear Sir,

        We have purchased the Faber Kitchen Chimney about a year ago) from your authorised dealer (Mom's Magic -Thane) in Thane and was installed by Company Engineer as per standard procedure. We want to bring to your notice the following :

        1. Your Engineed had advised to clean the stainless steel filters minimum once in a month and replace the carbon filter atleast once in 6-8 months.

        2. We went to your authorised dealer to send a company technician to change the carbon filter pads.

        3. The dealer explained that it is very simple to do it on your own and gave us a set of carbon pads ( invoice dated 4th July 2010 of Moms Magic)

        4. back home, WE WERE SHOCKED TO SEE THAT THERE WAS NO CARBON FILTERS FITTED IN THE CHIMNEY AT ALL TO BE REPLACED !!. ( and we have been using it for about 6 months now!!)

        IT IS SO SHOCKING TO NOTE NOW THAT THE COMPANY ENGINEER WHO HAD INSTALLED THE FILTER HAD TAKEN CARE TO CHECK ONE OF THE MOST ESSENTIAL PARTS WHETHER IT HAS BEEN FITTED IN THE CHIMNEY OR NOT.

        Two questions:

        1. Does the company supply the carbon filters along with the chimney when delivered to us ( the pack was sealed condition when delivered)?
        2. if yes (I sincerely hope so), where has it gone? Was it taken back by the engineed with him when he had come for installation)
        3. Why as it not checked by the engineed if the carbon pads were fitted or not?

        4. Has ther been any damage to my chimney because of this?
        5. If yes, the extent and type of damage ( that I have been using it for last 6 months, and our edible oil consemption is quite moderate)

        I have taken up this issue with the Customer Service Deprtment of teh company and asked for immediate inspection and rectification to our satisfaction, without any charges.

        I hope that this complaint is taken up seriously. In case of any damage/ accident or loss due to your negligency (I have noted that there are cases of fire due to faulty chimney), Faber Heatkraft Industries will be directly held reponsible and will have to bear all cost and will have to compensate for the loss.

          after the repeated calls made for the installation of Faber chimney,model no: solaris 790,no action has been taken on your side..my job no is:124753.marking of the chimney and hob has been done by your technician but installation has not bee done yet.so please send your technician at the earliest for the installation of the chimney and the hob,failing which i have to move to the consumer court.

            I had purchased a FABER kitchen chimney model number, “Solaris 680 LTW 90 SS” on 13.6.09. While purchasing we were told that our after sales service is great and we also have the life time warranty scheme against some ranges of products. So after the purchase on 13.6.09 the chimney starts malfunctioning within one year and now it has stopped working totally.

            I tried to contact the customer care centre but most of the time the phone was not picked up and sometimes the line remains engaged. After trying for 2 to 3 days finally I got the line and launched a complaint, “F5/370”. The very next day a technical person came and his technical knowledge was horrible and he could not even recognize the exact problem. Then again I had reregistered a complaint against the same docket number. Then also a technician came on the very next day and he told that the problem is occurring due to the motor and it needs to be replaced and he also told that we will be contacted very soon from the service centre. After his visit almost 2 weeks has passed away but no response from their side. Now the condition of the chimney has become worst and it has stopped working completely and now it is of no use to me.

            I would personally recommend to buy any products from Faber because it's after sales service is horrible.

              Hi,
              I bought a Faber Chimney - Mars Energy 1200 m3/hr from the Faber Distributors in Kolkata (Lokenath Systems, Bapuji Nagar, Kolkata - 700092) and the same was delivered on 13th May, 2010. The installation was done on 15th May, 2010 and after the installation during the demo, the switches were not working properly (the person who installed the system, pressed the 2 button and it went inside), subsequently the other buttons were also not working.

              I raised this immediately but the person who installed/the distributor. I also called up the Faber area manager Mr. Amit, who promised to get it fixed but it has been two days and almost 20 phone calls and it is yet to be fixed. Needless to say "NONE" of the switches work now and I am left with a BRAND NEW chimney which does not work.

              I requested the distributor to replace the defective item but that also fell in deaf ears. They(the distributor and the area manager) keep on insisting that the issue will be resolved but no one turns up to get the same fixed. End result : stuffy kitchen with minimal air circulation.

                I bought a brand new "chimney" & "cook top" from Fabre in bangalore.
                Within a week o[censored]sage, technical snag occured in cook top in which auto ignition was not working even after changing the battery.
                When their service centre was contacted, they mentioned that there is NO FREE service even for the brand new product. I was asked to bring it to their service centre which is very far from my place.
                Can not understand, how such a renowned company can have this sort of service levels....shame ful

                  Sub: Poor installation/quality of knobs of hob and subsequent problems.

                  On December 22nd I have purchased a FABER Hob model no.Fc- Glassy 910 Ltw and a Chimney. Recently, the hob was not working and all the operating knobs have come out. Hence, I made complaint by No.SD 1630 to Faber Service at Chennai. A service person came and checked the hob and said water has entered inside due to improper installation. When he opened the hob, I could find only a half rubber beeding and other half was not there. When questioned, he asked me back why did I not check it at the time of installation. I have demanded the beeding replacement and rectification of knobs. I expect immediate attention/rectification to my problems from Faber India.

                  Faber hob — improper installation

                  Sir,

                    I bough Faber Gas stove+ Chimney from one of the local retail shop in Oct 2009. For installation itself it took a month time chasing them and from Nov 2009 we are facing issue with gas stove. We could see gas leaking out of the burner and front burner creates noise like a block of gas flow and some time stops abruptly. After many chasers service executive came in Dec 2009 and said the issue is with burner and need to be replaced and took the photo copy of warranty card and left from then I am chasing for replacement. When ever I call they (M/S Vigneswara Enterprise) say stock has not come. At last in March one guy visited and left no progress.

                    When ever we call Faber they advise us to contact the Chennai service center (M/S Vigneswara Enterprise). I am living with issue and risk.

                    I am planning to file a case in consumer court shortly.

                    Most terrible after sales service from Faber.

                    There is no service support whatsoever, the company from where it was bought says they do not deal with faber anymore, call at the head office at pune, nobody picks up the phone.really repenting to have dealt with a company such asFABER, will advice as many people to stay away from their products.it seems as if the company has packed up.
                    I agree to the above. There are definitely no aftersales support.
                    We had purchased Faber Hob with 3 burners. It has problem of flame spreading flat on the glass plate. They called it a manufacturing defect. They have taken our hob since last 4 monhts. However not yet returned it. We keep on calling them and they assure that it wil be taken care in 2 days > however get no response.
                    I think if a company cannt provide solution to the customer complaint then it should close its unit.
                    I would not recommend any one to buy FABER products

                      I have purchased a FABER product GAS HOB (Product Code GB30SSP)/Srl.No : [protected] on Dt. 03/12/2009 from HyperCity - Vashi- Navi mumbai (India). Within few days of installation of the product at my residence by a company technician , I have found some defects on the product and the same was notified to customer care. After few days, a technician came, diagnosed the problem and recommended the replacement of faulty part of the HOB at the customer expenses. I escalated the issue to the customer care but the response was same.

                      Even though, the product was under warranty period and I am nowhere responsible for defective product, company is refusing to replace it and making mockery of warranty terms.

                      Earlier, I have registered many complaints at your customer care but to no avail till now.

                      Now, this is the last time I am sending a formal complaint to you, if company fails to take any action within 48 hours, I will have no other option but to file a formal case against the company in Consumer Forum. I will also consider to go to the media to tell the truth about the company claims and the ground reality in terms of customer satisfaction so that no other person will get cheated like me in future.

                      I am still hopeful that company will address my concerns and resolve the issue on urgent basis.

                        I would like to your kind attention that I had bought a Glassy 60cm SS Faber Chimney from Faber- authorised dealer M/s Sales Emporium, 443, Jessore Road, Kolkata-74, on 09.01.09 ( attached Memo no- CR/03498/1/[protected] dated- 09.01.09). Model mentioned on the Cartoon is GLASSY HIP 605( Stainless Steel) and Sr no[protected]. But unfortunately , I got attached Oven Warranty certificate Card & Manuals from the cartoon of the Chimney. During servicing , Faber service I found Warranty card is wrong and Faber put Oven warranty card instead of Chimney. Sr no mentioned in this card is[protected] and even the dealer also signed and stamped blindly.

                        Then I talked with above dealer and as per their advise, I had handed over the original oven Waranty Card to them in the month of september'09 . They assured me that within 3 months Fabder will send the actual Chimney Warranty card to my address. Even I have talked to Faber Eastern Regional office- Kolkata but y Mr. D. Mitra could not give any assurance. He told me that he had talked with Faber Pune-office but as per them Warranty card was issued correctly with chimney.


                        Faber is good reputed company and we can expect the better service from them. But I am sorry to say that Faber are not helping me for the same. This fault is from Faber side , then why I will suffer.

                        Please look into the matter and arrange the original Warranty Card at the earliest.
                        I am facing problem about a chimney from 6th May this year, which i had purchased on 28th dec, 2009.

                        From May onwards, suction was not happening and till now not happened .
                        My complain number is F5/380 on 06/05/2010
                        .
                        In these days we called
                        1. the shop, from where i purchased the same
                        2. the kolkata service centre
                        3. the Pune office warranty
                        4. The toll free number
                        5. and many mobiles of different persons - but no progress happened.

                        As the hot air can't go out from my kitchen, and nearly 40 days we have passed in this horrible situation, my mother (who is 66yrs old) getting stress and her physical problem is increasing.

                        so my recommendation is there is no after sales - so beaware, better is the exhost fan rather than a chimney without suction.

                          I purchased a Faber Heatkraft Chimney with Gas Hob/Cook Top on 23.9.2007 from Shree Anand Sales Corp., Marble Market, Mangol Pur Khurd, Delhi - 85. The Product has a 5year warranty. The toggle switch of the chimney and the the spark plug of the large burner of the hob has stopped working. I lodged a complaint with the customer care on 19/3/2010. The company representative came calling late evening on 20.3.10 and after inspecting the defects he informed that Rs.250 have to be paid as visit charged for the chimney and Rs.250 have to be paid separately for towards visit charges for the Gas Hob. Apart from this cost of the plug will be charged extra. I fail to understand as to why the toggle switch and the plug cant be replaced in one signle visit and most importantly why a customer one has to pay for the visit charges when the product is still under warranty. Isn't it amount to breach of terms and conditions of warranty and cheating of customer ?

                            I reside in Bangalore.I had purchased faber chimney 3 years back. It stopped working one and a half month back. I filed a complaint with the service centre at Ulsoor, Bangalore(ph :25546272,[protected]. The technician visited my place after 10 days. He said the motor has to be replaced . The spare part had to come from Poona and he told me that i have to wait for 10 days. Its almost one month since and iam still waiting.i have called the service centre many times but to no avail. One Mr.karthik at the service centre keeps telling me to wait but iam not sure for how long i should do so. I would be very happy if somebody looks into the matter and does the needfull.
                            I second this experience. I had a horrible experience with Faber Service centre. I got my stove and Chimney installed 5 years back and the stove has gone out of oder atleast 4 times till date. Each time I have spent Rs 1200 for a set of switch and the knobs and again two of my stoves out of 4 are not working since December. I have called the service centre technician and he never turned up. Even yesterday he said he will visit and never visited.

                            I would recommend people never to buy Faber products. They are big cheats and I have made an investment of 40K during 2004, but now going through such a horrible phase where I am not able to replace my stove since it is embedded on my granite kitchen slab.
                            We have called the faber person for service in the first week of September to service our Hob. From then till now, we have made many calls and the standard reply we get is, " I will come in a day's time". till date they are not bothered to service the hob

                              An Annual Cleaning Contract was signed on 04/04/09 vide ACC no. S858 for the periodical cleaning contract on the Faber made kitchen chimney with the authorised agent of Faber Heatkraft, M/s Avon Marketing at 55B S.P Mukherjee Road, 2nd Floor , Kolkata - 700026.
                              However, we have been continuously suffering to get the periodic service in time though the payment for the same has aleady been paid in advance during the ACC signing.
                              As a customer, I am just fade up with the response level and service of Faber Heatkraft as well as its service agent.

                                This has reference to the teleconversation my husband had with your good self before three months. We had bought a Faber – Hob model MDR 723 Matrix last year (2009) for our newly built house. The hob was given connection for usage during the month of Feb’2009. We used the hob for nearly 3 months. During which period we come to know that it consumes a lot of Gas. Normally, cylinder consumption would be 28-30 days for us using a normal gas stove. But after using Faber hob the consumption days were reduced to 18-19 days. We are only four members in our family and we were shocked seeing the Gas consumption during the first month. Suspecting, we checked using the hob for the next two months and we were certain that it gave us very very less consumption. We immediately made an oral complaint to your distributor M/s.Eastern Communication, coimbatore. But they took such a long time to send their Service Technician for analysis. After sending their Service Technician they gave us a feedback by simply replying that less consumption is not possible in this specific model. But we again complained and this time we were informed to talked to the Sales head Mr.Sameer, Pune. We contacted him two three times over phone and explained our above problem and asked for replacement of hob. He then informed us to keep in touch with the Service head Mr.Subramanian in Coimbatore. We then contacted the Service head and he said he will mail a complaint to the head office and requested us to provide the Bill copy & Warranty details to forward to the head office. We submitted all required details and were waiting for the response. But he never turned back. After quite a month, we again called him to follow-up. But he simply replied that the head office had sent him an email informing less consumption is not possible in this specific model hob and so replacement cannot be made. But we again complained and this time we were informed to contact you directly. After that, my husband contacted you two three times and after a long talk you also promised to send your service technician to sort out the problem. But as you promised till now no person has visited us from your office and it is more than 3 months now. We have been talking about this complaint for over a period of 8 months but were not properly served for having bought such an expensive hob. We are being unfocused everytime to talk to the distributor, dealer, Sales head and the service head here and there. But having talked & complained to all the people above, no proper response was received by us. We are not using the hob now after our initial usage for the first 3 months. It is now simply lying packed & idle in our house. Every time we are diverted to talk to so and so person but till now our complaint has not been rectified. Is this the type of service you render to your customer? Do you think your service stops once you sold your product and got all your money? What about “customer satisfaction” and “after sale service”? Kindly do not think that our complaint is insignificant as we can come and prove anywhere that the hob is giving us very less consumption. Even your service people who visited for analysis had informed that the specific model stove is suitable only for flat based vessels and so consumption would be only around 18-19 days. When at the time of buying no sales person informed us about this and we were really really disappointed after hearing this. Will anyone invest such a huge amount for a product that gives poor performance? Is there any logic and does it make any sense? We especially bought your hob for its design and technology assuming that it will give us good performance in saving energy, time & Gas consumption. But only after usage we come to know that it gave us very less consumption. If your sales people had given us before hand proper information about its features we never would have bought such an expensive hob as our normal gas stove itself (the one that we are currently using) is performing well for over a period of 15 years.

                                Further, the edges of the hob are very sharp like glass and when cleaning the beading comes off easily and nearly three four times I got my fingers cut. This is a manufacturing defect as the sharp edges are not bent and the beading is also not gummed properly and comes off easily while wiping up.

                                By being a big organisation, we have been discarded like anything whenever we make a call for complaining and till now no proper action was also taken. That’s why we’re writing a written complaint hoping that it will make a sense and we’ll be responded in a right way. We are 100% not satisfied with the performance of your hob and so looking forward for a replacement.

                                  I had purchased a auto- ignition glass bodied cook top the makers of which were the reputed Faber company , about 17 months ago. i paid a big amount and purchased the best model available. but i was disturbed when i started facing problems within a few days. It would not work automatically! i had to use lighter, so what was the point in paying 3 thousand more for an auto ignition model and still using a lighter? The local dealer was very co operative and would make the services of a technician available whenever i demanded. but worst part was that they could not do much, as almost every fortnightly some technician would come and open it and do some thing here or there , lift the knobs and somehow it would work then. but again within 3-4 days it was the same story. Though i got frustrated i didnt give up, for almost 10-12 months this story went on. The technicians started losing interst and started making excuses. then i called the faber company' incharge for this area, Mr Kaushal Rathod, and requested him to look into the matter. On his instuctions perhaps , the servicing people came again , and told very frankly that they couldnt handle it anymore and would send the appliance to Pune, and they promised to come back after a few day to collect it and provide us a standby. Then again after a loooong gap they came again to collect it, but no standby was brought!!!!!!!!!! Then he said he would come back with a standby by evening, but he never turned up after that nor did we get any message from them. I am frustrated now, I have wasted a lot of time, a lot of money on phone calls other than the money spent in buying the appliance, plus i have gone through a lot of psychological strain due to all this ordeal which has been going on for such a long time. the company refuses to give us another piece, they are unable to rectify the problem. I am requesting the consumer court to come to my rescue please help

                                    Dear Sirs,
                                    I bought a Faber Chimney Sloaris 680 LTW + Faber Cook Top CTX 360 AI from M/S Lotus electronic supermarket, Bhopal, India, vide bill No 60C903144 dated Aug 15,2009.

                                    The Chimney is working very well but your cook top has been giving trouble since a one. The small burner cannot be auto ignited no matter what you do. It only burns by external ignition ( match box )

                                    The rubber lining at the lower end of the burner covering the edge does not hold while cleaning the cook top. The edge is so sharp that it would cut your finger all the time when you clean the cook top. I have cut my finger so deep that I had to get 7 stitches.

                                    This complain has been send to your dealer in Bhopal by Lotus vide there delivery challan No 11910 date 14.11.2009 but still this problem is not solve. Either you solve this problem or change the burner . I have been talking to Mr Rakesh , from your customer care , Pune as well as your dealer but No action has been taken . The Dealer service Engineer has not been able to solve my problem as he also agree that there is some defect in the burner ( the engineer also confirm this to Mr. Jaipal of Lotus ).

                                    Pl look into this matter and get me a solution.

                                      I have Faber Hob and Chimney with lifetime warranty. The hob is an expensive glass hob. For the last 4 months thet hob has had several problems. This all started after the service person came and cleaned the hob.

                                      First complaint is that he misbehaved in the house. The service people are very sub standard. Un educated and not technical.

                                      Second is that they never fix the problem when they come.

                                      Third, one of the hobs just turns off by itself half way through and leaks gas whichis very hardous to fire in the family.

                                      I would like to tell Faber that i WILL SUE THEM FOR DAMAGES in every single court in the country in India, in the US and in Germany if anything ever happens to my family due to this.

                                      I am going to file a complain about FABER behaving badly to family folks.

                                      I am going to take FABER to court unless or other wise they look into this problem in the next 3 days.
                                      Mr Reghu is the technician and he looks like a mental wreck.

                                      He is dangerous to be allowed inside house.

                                      My complaints are also not answered.

                                        NON ATTENDANCE OF SERVICE

                                        I HAVE PURCHASE THE FABER CHIMMINY AND HOB BUT IN 4 DAYS I THE MOTOR OF FABER CHIMMINY WAS BURT AND HOB LITER CHARGES WAS WEEK. SO COMPANY TOLD THEY WILL REPLACE. THEY CALL ME ON SATURDAY ( 28/11/09 ) FOR REPLACEMENT I TOLD TO COME ON SUNDAY ( 29/11/09 ) BUT THEY HAVE NOT COME TILL NOW THEY HAVE NOT ATTENDED....
