I have raised a complaint at Faber Heatkraft customer service center on Feb 7, 2011 via toll free number[protected]. The request was to replace the top glass of the chimney which got broken during our cleaning and handling. The replacement was a paid service which I agreed as it doesn’t come under warranty.

Inspite of multiple followups with the customer care and the local service stores, I have not got the service. The seller is not bothered about customer service, just keen on selling its production without aftersales support as promised at the point of sale. If the paid service and spares supply is in such condition how would it be for warranty products and services.


Some of the inputs regarding the complaint:

1. Complaint #[protected] dt. Feb 7, 2011

2. Service requested : Replacement of broken Chimney top glass of identical model and design which will be paid by me for the spare and fittings.

3. Product purchase details : Faber Lifestyle Kitchens Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore, Inv # 18353 dt.14/9/2007. Rs. 13990/ – + Installation charges.

4. Follow up call for the spare was with Mr. Bhushan (customer care), Mr. Mani (Support stores), Mr.Kartik (Support stores supervisor).

I had made multiple calls to the above company representatives, They never called me back for any updates and also not providing me contacts of the Pune manufacturing locaiton sales & service executives.

Please record my complain and let me know if you need any more inputs.

    never believe the product of their brand or other features.. the companies are keen in selling the products.. dont bother customers for after sales service.. its just a 3 DAYS BEFORE I BOUGHT A new faber chimney. the service is VERY POOR IN INSTALLATION ITSELF. the STAFF THEMSELVES DONT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT.. AND MAKE A DEFAULT INSTALLATION. me after finding the fault , logged a complaint again.. but they blamed as if the fault is with us... the STAFF DONT KNOW PRODUCT TECHNOLOGY AT ALL.then find out how poor they are... lieiving charges on customers of their fault.. good business. worst ethics.

    I had brought a chimney model no BF500BK three years ago in Kolkata. I had made a cleaning service contract with
    "AVON MARKETING"

    My contract no ACC s 1626. The contract was for 10 service and for one year. They only provide me 8 service within one year and said we have two more service to get under the contract. They never came for service on time. Everytime i had called them then they send their person. When I called them for the 9th one they told that in the same contract no they found another name.

    HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? For the last one year i called them and use the same number and they send their person. I am continueing call them for the last two weeks all in vain. They only beat about the bush nothing else. The person picked up the phone talking and trying to misguide me.

    I want to know is Aven Marketing an authorised service centre of Faber? While they said so.

    I had purchased a Faber Chimney Black Cleoin the month of Dec'07.From the day of purchase the chimney when started produces a horrible sound.The matter was reported to the service centre, they had send mechanics for several times but the sound could not be reduced.I would request you to make necessary arrangement so that the chimney could either be changed or the sound could be reduced so that the machine could be used.

    Faber electric chimney. — Poor installation service.

    When I bought the chimney i was told installation service will be provided. the service person did not arrive for a over a week. On repeated calls a person did come and gave a list of petty jobs that must be done before he would install which required another set of technicians. After getting it all done we called him again but he left saying that the 4" hole for piping in a wooden board shoudl have been a 6" inch hole. and that making the hole =6" WAS NOT HIS SCOPE OF WORK.

    Refusal of the company's technician to come at the scheduled times so that we can coordinate his visit with a visit from a carpenter and an electrician and a porter to "serve him" and assist him in the installation job has resulted in my chimney lying in a beautifully packed condition for over 3 months. And lets not forget for inaugrating the machine by pressing the "ON" button (thats all left for him to do, is it not?) when all the oter technician charges Rs.700/- Can i have my money back so that i can go buy a chinese mchine which costs half and gives a better installaiton service?

    Above machine was purchased by this writer on last 15th April, from
    Steel Junction-Kolkata.

    Right from the installation, I am facing trouble with your product.

    - Next few days after installation, we relized that, there is no any
    differece by running the Chimmny.
    After a few days, we called your Service centre (Avon Marketing, 55B,
    S.P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata 700026, phone [protected]), the person
    checked throughout and told us, that was not fitted perfectly.
    M-seal was not applied in the joint of the Chimmny & exhost pipe - and
    he applied.

    Then after a few days, I noticed that there is no any remarkable
    improvement. I verified the result with my
    one of my nabour, who is using product of 'Kuchina' - and found a
    fantustic result at his kitchen.
    That Kitchen is smale free, smoke free and noise free.

    Again I called your Service centre, raised the points - 'smale',
    'smoke' & 'noise'. But in all these 3 points,
    your person told me a common answar - 'every thing in order, it is in
    accepable range...'.

    Now I am sick and tired with my Chimmny.

    If your person is right, then I am wrong. I am wrong in the sence that
    I have not chose a right Brand.

    But however - one simple question to you, is there any way out?

    Will you please look into the matter once - so that I amy come out
    from this jigsaw puzzle.

    Dear Sir,
    This is a very common problem with all imported goods/ appliances. They authorise somebody for after sales service, unfortunately who is an indian and ultimately the cheat component is reflected in post sales service. I have had experience with L.G T.V'S and this Faber brand chimneys which is MADE IN ITALY.You have to file a case in consumer courts only to get the best out of these rogues who are out there to harass you to any extent by their poor service as i am facing in Mumbai.The company has to provide a second line support system to save their goodwill or else you better throw away their product and Boycott the same in future. Give due mass publicity for boycotting of such goods to ensure at least other indians are not cheated by such business thugs.

    Faber — Chimney

    I have purchased a faber chimney a few months back. The chimney is not worlink properly as oil is dripping from the very first day of the purchase.Repeated phone calls to the service centre has turn out in no response aand now the company is not ready to take any liability. Either the chimney should be repalced or the money should be refunded.
    agree towards the complaint fully; Even I have purchased three years ago and realised afterwards the installation was not proper and it has spoiled my furniture in kitchen too as the exhaust gets leaked through the pipe itself.

    im jothi im also agree with ytour complaint. Faber chimney works bad. It didn't sucks the oily greese fully. It is not easy to clean also. Our kitchen now becomes greesy plz dont buy this product
    Pls tlak to Faber customer care [protected] for proper installations. If installation done by any local unathorised person the issue may arise like this. Proper installation will never have this type of issue. This is best global brand and have thousands of satisfied customers across the world.

    Sir, Faber chimney is hopless product. One should not buy faber chimney. After sale service is also very poor. Company charges are very high. The engineers of company are also untrained. Very hopeless.

    The customer care also not giving a proper solution. The company itself dealing with the service but there is no response at all. worst faber...
    I agree, I got the Faber Chimney Installed in June 2010 after 3 days of installation, it stopped working and from then I am still following up with the Customer Care to get the issue resolved still the Service engineer is yet to come and solve the problem.
    I have a Faber chimney for which I have entered into an annual contract for servicing (for 6 service)(application no. 003821). However the service is very poor. Although they told that every two months they will service on their own, they actually never come on their own and they have to be reminded that a servicing is due. Moreover they promise a date and repeatedly fail to send technician and keep on changing the date. They do not provide any docket number for the job and so easy for them to deny. I am fed up but there is no provision for cancelling the AMC. Now we can only depend on GOD.

    This is my second intimation, to get the warranty card.     cata chimney — poor service

    Suffered from cata company's poor service . I bought cata chimeny in month of march after two months it started problem .


    Since then I am waiting for their technician visit. I called them up many time and told about the problem but getting no responce.
    I agree it too...these people are really a big fraud...m following them for my services to be done.Not evn a single has been done yet...nw they say the technician which had come for our AMC has left.They are just not bothered for the customers after selling their products.

    Its a fake, fraud and a worst company...plz dnt believe them a keen request..

    Faber has one of the worst after sales service. I purchased a MARS90 model chimney and signed up for an annual cleaning contract mandating 6 services in a year. for every service I have to spend hours over the phone convincing n number of people at Faber's end about attending my chimney which is obligatory on their part.
    I'm highly disappointed with the service ( RATHER THE LACK OF IT).
    Is there a way we can pursue this matter legally?

      We have been calling the service centre of faber india pune since last 30 days for repairing of the hob purchased from them, but their service centre is not sending the technician and always doing the false promises that the the engineer will be coming shortly.

      My wife has been calling faber indore service center either no is busy or if they lift says we will come since last 4-5 weeks...I couldn't followup as was abroad and these people are still not acting. This is not professional attitude of an internationla company of the repute of Faber ?

      faber hob a VERY POOR QUALITY PRODUCTS, AND PLEASE BE AWARE BEFORE BUYING AS THEY HAVE NO SERVICE, I BOUGHT FABER HOB OF 5 BURNERS FROM VIJAY SALES MUMBAI AND IN ONE WEEK TIME THE GRIL BROKE AND IN TWO MONTHS TIME ANOTHER GRILL BROKE, WE CONTACT THEIR SERVICE CONTACT AND SOMEONE ATTENDED, AND THEN NO FEEDBACK...WE ALSO TOLD THEM THAT WILL BUY THIS GRIL SO PLEASE TELL US WHAT IS THE AMOUNT, BUT STILL NO REPLY.

      VERY BAD EXPERIENCE, THEY WRITE THE ITALIAN NAME IS A SALES GIMMICK. I SUGGEST PEOPLE, NOT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY IN FABER PRODUCT.

        I have purchased one Faber SS chimney at a cost of Rs.8,000/- from M/S Viveks, Fort Station Road, Trichy on 9.1.2011. At that time the sales representative has informed that within a day or two, persons from service center will come and install the same in my residence. she also informed that the bulbs in the chimney, which was not functioned, will be rectified at the time of installation. But the installation people came and completed partial work on 14.1.11 and informed that the rest will be completed after Pongal on 17.1.2011.

        But so far nobody has turned up for completing / rectifying the defects in the chimney. I don't understand how the sales person has promised installation within a day or two and how the company can supply a unit with defects at the time of sales itself. I accepted the unit with the belief that the problem is only a minor and the service people can rectify it immediately.

        I was advised by my friends to file a complaint with the consumer court and I am still waiting for the company / service center to do the necessary repair before taking the extreme step

        Faber — Installation delay

        I had purchased my Faber chimney from Faber Galeria on the 9th April, Thursday. It is 15th April Wednesday today and till date the product has not been installed. They promised installation in 2 days, but nothing has happened. When I called up the person in Faber Galeria (Anand) I was told that they have already informed the customer service people for installation. This was at 6pm on Monday 13 April. I received a call from the service dept in 5 mins time only to understand that Anand had called them up for installation only after I called him on Monday. I was assured of installation on Tuesday, when I called Anand up at 7pm on Tuesday, I was told that they will come after that. Which means at about 9pm. They did not. Anand told me that the people are in the vicinity and would come. I called up the service center today, wednesday, only to understand that there was no one in the vicinity yesterday and that they can come for installtion only tomorrow, thursday. BAG of LIES. Not worth buying at all.
        If You need any kind of chimney INSTALLATION, SERVICE AND SUGGESTION, In Trichy just contact Freya Enterprises they will asst you in right way. FREYA ENTERPRISES[protected] /[protected] contact person Nelavan Lenin.A
        We had purchased Faber Dish washer From Rathna Cools, T.Nagar S/n.36990 vide Inv.8923/7.1.12 forRs.36990/-. But till now it has not been installed. Why they are taking so much time to install. We have paid the amount fully and no dues to be paid. When we enquired abount installation they are postponing day by day. We can't tolerate any more. One person came and gone half way through. Is this a customer satisfaction? Then how can we purchase branded item like faber. We are very much annoyed about this kind of attitude from faber. I need the dishwasher to be installed today itself.

        Take immediate action.

          I had purchased Faber chimney and hob and getting it serviced through M/s Vigneshwara Enterprises, Ulsoor, Bangalore (Ph.[protected] regularly. Since last 2-3 services, we are facing some or the other problems in the hob after 2-3 days after service. Recently, I got them serviced in December 2010 and after 2-3 days, two burners were not working properly. This may be due to the work done by inexperienced service personnel. In spite of my repeated requested, they have not sent the persons for getting the burners repaired. Another problem with them is "Punctuality". The service peronnel will not keep up the timings which they us their appointments, because of which I am facing lot of problems. It is almost 1 months over, my problem has not been taken care by your above service centre,.
          I hope you will look into this and attend to it immediately.

            FABER is very Bad company. And one of the famous dealer/Showroom LOTUS in Indore is worst then FABER. They gave defacted 3 burner cook top/ stove with purchase of Chimany.

            The burner rings are not good , there rubber are of low quality which get loose on heating. And burner also does not work properly.

            Inspite of folowing since 5 months they are not ready to change it. And now when we sent back the product they are sitting on it since a month. We dont have extra stove and we are in great trouble due to these useless people.

              Sir,

              Please note I purchased a 3 Burner Faber Cook Top from your dealers "Sterling...." in Dr.Rajkumar Road, Rajajinagar, Bangalore on the 4th Nov'09 ((Cash Memo No.: 997).

              The rubber profile on the sides were loose on purchase itself but I did not think too much about it at the time. But with time the profile came loose completely exposing an extremely sharp edge all around. We tried to glue it back using industrial glue which did not solve the problem. Recently while cleaning the cook top my wife's fingers got nearly sliced through due to this razor edge at which point I called the local Faber Service Centre in Bangalore who were most uncaring or responsive. The only reply each time I called was that the "profile" was not in stock ! I then put in a complaint (Ref. No.[protected] on the Toll Free No. whose response was also poor.

              Finally after repeatedly pressing Mr.Martin at the Bangalore Service Center, he sent Service Technician Mr.Basavaraj who looked at the problem and mentioned that it was a "Design Fault" of Faber's and that he could not do anything about it.

              Design fault or not since this is a serious safety issue I would like to know what is the Company's response in this matter.

                I have purchased Faber 3 burner cooktop ( 2 indian + 1 italian burner) and since begining that cooktop has problem with one indian burner. This is almost 2 years now but still problem is not resolved and Faber services are worst. They are not at all professional and there staff is full o[censored]nskilled people. They are aware of products for which they are providing services.

                There administrative staff are having all skills to fool customer and keep giving false assurance. There should be heavy penalty on Faber company for there faulty products and poor after sale services.

                I want my money back with penalty on them due to mental harassment.

                  We had purchased glass top 4 burner 2 years back. I am listing out my problems in order:

                  1. Firstly auto-ignition stopped working
                  2. Front burner deformed and cannot be used
                  3. Glass top paint started pealing
                  4. Most imported when your using any of the burner , the flame goes of and you can smell gas leaking

                  I had lodged a complaint with faber customer care on 01-dec-2010 and after so many follow up calls, they managed to send some one on 20-dec-2010.
                  And they didn't fix any of the above mentioned problem as they were outsourced technician guys.
                  First thing they ask you is warranty and if you don't have it they will blame you.

                  I wonder how can this product be sold in India with so many complaints.

                  PLEASE DONT BUY FABER PRODUCT

                    I had approached the company H.R in the month of 26th of May 2010.From there on it was a big drama on their part saying that my P.F was on the way.Again in the month of July Iwas called and the H.RDept. told me that my form was lost and again they told me to resend it.It is know the 10th of Dec..still they are playing the fool with me.I would like to take this matter to the highest level and mind ou these people are players who think no end of themselves.I have sent them a notice from court but to my surprise they have very shamefully sent my lawyer a one line reply that my P.F is on the way.

                    I need help and would be grateful i[censored] escalate this complaint at your earliest.

                      I had purchased a FABER brand electric chimney under life-time warranty scheme. Now the chimney is not running. I have tried to connect their dealer cum service center at Raipur over Ph. no.[protected], but even after repeated dialing, no one is lifting the phone. I then talked to the owner lady of the establishment over mobile, but she expressed inability to note down the complaint until Tuesday(07/12/2010) saying that she is outstation & 'busy'. So, I am forced to wait until Tuesday to again contact & try to lodge complaint. My question is- How can an organization close down its service center to suit convenience of any one person? after all, any genuine organization worth its name usually keeps a staff of more than one person to take record of complaints & attend to them through service technicians, etc.With the careless attitude shown to me, it seems that though Faber makes big promises when selling the product, in reality they don't care about providing after sales service to its customers. I request you to take it up with appropriate authority.

                      My Chimney was not installed fully, they left in the middle and not listening to the complaint. By going through other people comments the company is lousy. I recommend people to refrain from buying any Faber products.Can you take some steps to get it done. Iam from Chennai.

                        My name is Murali and I am from Chennai. I am customer using Faber Hob and chimney at my residence for the last 5 yrs.

                        I had lodged a service request to your chennai office (Smart Solutions) vide complaint no SK0252 a week before diwali. The service request was attended to by the technician couple of days before diwali (Nov 3). The request for service was lodged since 2 of the burners in the 4 burner hob was not burning properly. The technician who came serviced the Hob and said a jet and spark plug had to be changed in 2 burners. He did not have the spares and hence promised to come the very next day and attend to the same and change the spares. A charge of Rs 200 was paid for the service that he attended to.

                        The next day went and so far the technician has not come back. I have been calling Smart solutions every day and the reply I get is that they will send someone that day. It is more than a week now and today after insisting that I speak to someone at higher level, I am told that the spares are not available and that the work will be undertaken only next week.

                        Now I dont understand how spares could be a problem and not available when the job of the service center in chennai is to hold spares and attend to customer complaints. I dont know f the spares will come next week and the same will be replaced at my place. Every time I need to call up the service center and they do not respond back at all. Is there only one service center that you have in chennai?

                        I would like to know if there is an alternate service center who will attend to this issue or should i look for private service centers

                            I brought a Faber Chimney on 5th Nov 2010. Faber promises to install such appliances within 24 hours, but even after waiting for 4 days, I'm not getting any satisfactory response from service center. Every time I got just assurances for a quick service which were no more than lame excuses.
                            After continuously bugging the technician since then he promised to come at 12:00pm and then come at 7:00pm and started demanding unusual charge. Such treatments hit customer belief and bring a bad name to Faber's repute. Please look into this and try to get my chimney installation ASAP.

                              Dear Friends,

                              I had recently bought a kichen appliances of FABER HEATKRAFT make for around 15,000 Rs from this dealer who made some good sales talk initially till the time the full money was paid and later changed completely. The product is full of issues as it is most likely a defective peice and this guy says that talk to the company as his job is over once he sold the product. I think in the era when service standards are of prime concerns, we have unfortunately people like these who still take customer on ride. It is good that these forum provide opportunity to share the experience and completely boycott such dealers. Pl. spread this to the people known to you as I have also done so that such dealers are taught a lesson. I hope based on my experience, noone else will fall prey to this.

                                In the year august-2006,an half page Advt was appeared in a Local Hindi daily,"Dainik Jagran" for sale of Electric Chimey ,make "FABRE"model:2740BK,Looking into the Advt.I contacted over Phone,the Authorised Dealer named in the Advt.M/s: Asian Traders,117/N/47,Indradeep Complex,Kakadeo,KANPUR,Mob.Nos.[protected] &[protected]. The dealer sent his Mkt.Executive Mr.Rajesh Gupta at my Residence. I booked for Purchase and Installation of said model Electric Chimey and made a advance in Cash a sum of Rs.10000/= against total Estimate of Rs.3640/= A order Form/Receipt was also issued bearing No.38,dated:16/8/2010 Acknowledging the Advance Payment made by me.I was promised that,the chimney was Installed within 15 days,but Even after elapse of a considerable time nothing was done. When,I contacted Mr. Rajesh Gupta at his Mob Nos.[protected]&[protected],he replied that,he has left the Firm and advised to contact the Partner of the Firm Mr,Saurabh Yadav.I Contacted Mr.Yadan at the Firm's given No.over Phone,to refund the Advance made by me ,but of no avail.By this time time more than Two years had passed.When,I went personally to locate the Firm at given addresss,I was told by nearby Shopkeepers that,The Firm has either been Closed or Shifted to some other Place.Having lest with no option,I made a complaint through mail to the Manufacturer M/s;FABER HEATKRAFT,Pune,but they also did not give give any heed to my complaint.Lately,I am told by Mr.Saurabh Yadav that,the

                                That,your Dealer sent his representative to my house,namely Mr.Rajesh Gupta Who also claimed himself as Mkt Executive of your Company and also gave me his Visiting Card Which also had his Mob.Nos as [protected] & [protected]
                                That,he appraised me about the Product & Model and I then,placed Order for Purchase & installation.He also took an advance payment of Rs.1000/= in cash and issued me a receipt which cantains follwing details:-
                                Order Form No. 38,Dated:16/08/2006,of M/s: Ocean Traders.
                                for One No. 2740 BK Kitchen Electric Chimney = Rs.3140/-

                                That,based on the Nos given on the Visiting Card of Rajesh Gupta,I called him in Jan/Feb-07on the given No.When he told me that,he has since left the company & he has no more concern with the order,which was placed by me during his visit to my house.He even talked to me very rudely/roughly....& more Thereafter,I made a contact with the dealer ( M/S;Ocean Traders,Kanpur) over phone and requested him to refund the Advance paid by me.There one Mr Saurabh Yadav responded and told me that,he He shall be sending his rep to my house and will Check the original copy of the order where after he shall refund back the advance.After some days his rep. Mr Sandeep came to my house & Checked the originals and then,assured me that,my advance shall be refund within a week or so,but even then it was of no avail even after elapse of considerable time
                                Thereafter,I had no option but to visit personally & meet Mr Yadav of M/s: Ocean Traders.When I visited at the given address the nearby neighbour Shop Keepers informed me that,Either Mr,Yadav has already windup his business or shifted somewhere else.

                                In the present circumstances,I have no option but to file a Complaint case in the Consumer Court of Kanpur Claiming the refund of Advance with damages not less than Rs.50,000/- as I am Senior Citizen,and serious heart Patient,but I have been harassed so Bradly for the last four years,which god only knows.I am not ready to compromise merely by asking to pay back the Advance.

                                  I have purchased a Stove Hop of Brand - FABER on Sunday 19th Sept 2010.
                                  I am sorry to mentioned on the site - that the same is having ignition problem and I registered the complaint immediately with the call centre ( tel:[protected] Call Number - 176840
                                  Unfortunately the engineer who visited could not do much about it and confirmed that the other engineer would come and resolve.
                                  The other so called engineer returns 2 days later to comment - this issue is normal and can not be improved beyond a particular level of improvisation.
                                  I feel cheated and embarrased at home for offering my wife such a product.
                                  I am ready to shell more money for a better product in exchange.
                                  Need some one to help me immediately on this as the product is just 3 days old in the house.

                                    I purchased Faber stove and Chimey

                                    After a weeks usage of Stove, Gas leakage started.
                                    I complained with chennia customer care atleast for 20 times.

                                    Finally onc guy came and told he dont have spare to fix.

                                    Then again followed with the by making some 10 calls.

                                    But still the problem exits.

                                    Never ever thing of FABER in chennai.
                                    I am also a victim of Faber purchase
                                    Do you know any contact details in Faber who can help ?

                                    Faber Stove — serving person not comes,ignore phone looking no.

                                    I repeatedly called faber servicing person after many efforts he came told me to come back but never returned stop picking my no. even poorest service no one should purchase such a poor product

                                      I, Mrs Simran Dialani, bought Faber Built in Hop Gas Burner, from Vijay Sales, Thane, last year. I found that instead of Gas consumption that was previously 30-35 days per cylinder, reduced to 20-22 days with this faber hob. sorry to say this after repeated calls to your customer care, the problem was yet not solved at all. Can you please look into this matter urgently as we are losing heavily in consumption. Hope you will keep the "Customer Satisfaction" in your mind.
