I have purchased entire set of furniture costing ₹1, 12, 726/- from Godrej Interio, Dhakuria, Kolkata on 22.10.16 for new flat purchased by my daughter Paulami Bhattacharjee. I have also got the the modular kitchen done in her flat through your authored franchise Rajni &. Co., 74, Despran Sasmal Road, Kolkata 700033 as per agreement signed on 28.09.2016 for which I paid ₹1, 06, 449/-. Such is my trust in Godrej products.
The flat remained unused for unused for about four years which was cleaned periodically. While cleaning I noticed some black particles like soot on the floor. On inspection I found the clothes underneath the chairs was giving off. That was before the flat was occupied.
The flat was occupied in July, 2020 which may be verified from other residents of the building K. B. L. Tower, 26A. Charu Chandra Avenue, Kolkata 700033. Unfortunately after some days the foam seat at the base and back of Radiance chairs (4 nos. Costing ₹17, 478/-) started peeling off. Even the metal understructure is getting bent.
It is true that the product has warranty for one year but I could not fathom how the company that claims that its products are durable and long lasting is selling such a poor quality product to the customers who trust them.
I have lodged a complaint by mail to [protected]@godrej.com on 13.11.2020 requesting repair of the chairs. I attached the pictures of the chairs and the invoice. They have written back to inform me that that warranty has expired. Repairing can be done on chargeable basis. They will inspect for which ₹400/- to be paid and then will repair if I agree to the quotation they will send for materials and repair.
Question is why should I spend money for repair of the chairs of poor quality which the company Godrej is selling to the costomers who repose trust in the company.
I fear that repair with the same poor quality material will invite recurring problem. Am I expected to get the chairs repaired every six months or one year. The chairs are not cheap. Each chair costs ₹4400/- approx.
I would request you kindly to replace the chairs with another set of 4 chairs of good quality. I will pay the difference of price.

Updated by K u e Poor quality Radiant Dining Chairs chairs sold by Godrej Interio, Dhakuria, kolkata. Damaged after use for few days. The chairs kept in the flat before occupation started decay on its own. After use for some days foam cover started peeling off. Each chair costs ₹4400/- approx. Repair will entail additional expenditure which will be recurring in nature. Only solution is replacement with good quality chairs for which diffence of will be borne

Updated by K u e Unusually long time has elapsed since registering my grievances on 16.11.2020. Three reminder have been sent in the meantime. Your loyal customer who are spending lakhs of rupees for purchase of furniture for self and family members certainly deserves a reply.
