I am one of the account holder of HDFC BANK, would like to list some horrible experience which I had gone through recently. Inconvenience caused stated as under:
1. Terrible experienced at HDFC BANK – Punjabi Bagh Branch
a) Problem raised when I went to HDFC BANK Punjabi Bagh Branch to apply for a new Debit card as the old one was misplaced. Being totally unaware with the procedures and rules of the bank thus seeking for help but instead of that I was being ignored by the staff, not only this some ladies were busy with their private calls and were discussing about the household stuff
b) Then I queried from one of the staff member “how to apply for new debit card”. she told me to fill up the form for the same which was kept next to the wall - near to the entrance. I searched for the relevant form but got confused as there were many forms. Thus I spent around 15 mins there for the same but none of them took initiative to help out the customer.
c) Thus anyhow I got the form and filled it up. I did confirm from the girl at counter no.9, I gave her my account details as it is a co-operate account so which address has to be mentioned coz I have already left the organization. She told me you can put your Residence address. She didn’t provide adequate details - that I have to fill the form for changing of address first. And as being unaware of the procedure I didn’t fill any form for the changing of the address. I applied for new debit card and credit card at the same time and mentioned my home address in both the forms. However I got my credit card at home address but the debit card was sent to the office address.

2. Another awful incident with Customer Care People - Managers
Thus I had a conversation with Cust care ppl around 4 times to check the status and every time a different statement was given to me. Which are as follows:
a) 1st time - they told me that the card has been sent to the your office address when informed them that I m no longer working with that organization they replied that don’t worry as it will be returned to the bank and you can collect it from the Punjabi Bagh branch – which was fine with me.
b) 2nd time - they assured me that the card has been already returned from my office and will be sent to the Punjabi Bagh Branch and I can collect it from there.
c) 3rd time - they were not sure and was not aware that what exactly was going on??
d) 4th time- I had a word with Asst Manager – Sonali Jain & Manager – Ravi Tiwari, both were impolite and blamed me for everything as its your account and you are responsible for your account and it was your reponsiblity to get the address change first. Ravi Tiwari informed me that the card was again sent to the office address and has been delivered to an unknown person.

* Now I would like to take your attention towards few things –
1. I wasn’t aware with the procedures as I am not working in any Bank – why didn’t the staff inform me at the first place when I asked them which address has to be mentioned in the form?? They were busy chatting with their colleagues or with their private talk, WHICH WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN TO ASSIST THE CUSTOMERS??? People in the branch were unhelpful & didn’t care to provide adequate information.
2. People in customer care dept are not clear with the work. As every time whenever you call, there would be a different person with a DIFFERENT STATEMENT FOR YOU. Well I believe there is no coordination in your customer care dept.
3. Even the Managers in Customer Care Dept DO NOT HAVE listening, understanding, and problem solving skills. No matter what, they’ll find a way to escape and will put the blame on the customer. And THEY BELIEVE WHY CAN'T A CUSTOMER DREAM ABOUT THE PROCEDURE???
4. I am fail to understand one thing that if the card had been returned once from my office and they told clearly that the person is not working here anymore, then why the card was again sent to my office and why not back to the branch??? Also if one of the CCE assured me that the card has already been returned and you can collect it from the branch then why next time Cust Care Manager said that the card was again sent to your office and has been delivered to Mr Amit (an unknown person)??
5. And how can such a CONFIDENTIAL and IMPORTANT thing can be delivered to any UNKNOWN PERSON (you don’t even know that in which dept he works in and what’s his last name)??? There are thousands of employees working in that organization out of which 100’s of Amit would be, where do I find him???
6. Instead of empathizing and understanding the problem, the Cust Care Managers were adamant and kept repeating that you are held responsible. IS THIS KIND OF SERVICE WILL PROVIDE TO THE VALUABLE CUSTOMERS???
7. Well I had a conversation with the Manager Mr. Shelton Pascal, he understood the scenario and was polite and apologized for the mistake and on the behalf of the other two managers – SONALI JAIN & RAVI TIWARI . But please I don’t want apologies. WILL APOLOGIZING CAN RECTIFY THE SITAUTAION????
8. I can’t understand that the procedures have been made for customer satisfaction or to HARRAS THE CUSTOMERS???
9. Well in this kind of situation I don't think that my money is safe in the bank
10. This is like a black spot to HDFC bank, offering just inconvenience to the customers. I Don't think that really want to retain the customers???
Well at the end I would just like to say that I am really unhappy with the kind of services provided by HDFC staff. I think HDFC should first enlighten its employees that what exactly the customer service is…!!!
I also faced sme ..situation..i got credit card ...but due to accdient and loss of job i did not paid bill..they did not listned to me and started using worst words..they are ..

    I recently opened a Savings Account with HDFC Bank Ltd. I have been transacting for last three months, suddenly one morning my Savings Account has been freezed and all my funds in the account has been kept on hold, I do not have any intimation form the bank nor the executive in the Branch is able to help me to get the information, why are these people troubling the Individuals, when this funds got freezed I was travelling and had a tough time to settle my Hotel Bills, I was unable to reach the HDFC Customer care also, I had left a message at the Branch Phone No. asking for the help, none of them were bothered to revert back my call, and now am completely unaware as what is going on with my account, will I get this money back ??

    Is there somebody to answer my quires? I am completely blind about this issue, how are these kind of issues generally handled? How should customers tackle these kinds of troubles? If anyone has a solution kindly revert back to me at the earliest on my email: [protected]@gmail.com

    I need abstract of my saving bank a/c [protected] (Cust ID 4269780) on an urgent basis for the period 01.04.2008 to 31.03.2009 as I have to file my IT return. On contacting your bank at Old Cidco, Mumbai Agra Road, Nasik I was told that it will take minimum 7 days. I request you to help me in this matter by sending the statement thru email. I was also informed that I will have to pay Rs.300/-for the said statement which is not acceptable as none of the banks demand the money for handing over the saving bank account statement.

      hello,
      my name is ahsan javed. i joined hdfc bank ltd. as a sales executive on 29th octuber 2007, in kashmiri gate, by mr.
      RAJ BHADURI, who is a sales manager. and my area sales manager(ASM) was VISHAL GHAI. I worked with them till 22january 2008. on 22january i was forcely asked to summit my resignation latter to SM. Becouse of their promotion chances and the performence where declining...

      i did't got my salary yet, they promised me if i resigned before the closing for the month of january, they will farward my salary, otherwise they will terminate me and even not give my salary..

      becouse i was running short of money i resigned when they insise.
      but after that day they always call me and ask me to give some refrences as a bribe to credit my salary.
      they also mentally tortured me after one week of joining date by continuasly changing my market place, even they put my a/c in others code...
      now i m fed up by their attitude, i thought how they treat their customers if they behave like this to their junior or freashers.
      i need my salary, please help me out in this situation. my employee code was CA-11694, i was in their current account new initiative(CANI) team. thank you

        I am having my Savings Bank, Current A/c, holding locker and the above credit card.
        I received a letter from your bank, saying that a sum of Rs.5703.00 is lying outstanding for non-payment of the earlier bill. I sent a mail to this effect on 8.7.09 and expressed my grievances. It seems that bank is reluctant to attend my letter thus sending another letter dt.6.7.09, pressurising on me to pay the amount. They also mentioned in the above letter that they will be forced to take disciplinary action for such non-payment. I am at a loss to understand as to what made the bank to claim the amount unscrupulously. Has it been the regular practice of the bank to claim unauthorised amount from its customers? It is to be noted that I shall close all my association with the bank by not paying a single paisa. I am mentally tremendous disturbed for such letters and phone calls (which they are making at a regular intervals). Hope you understand my world.

          i was offered personal loan of rs. 2.5lackhs through ur D.S.A. m/s surmya financial services, ahmedabad. my loan amount is approved by your bank but, to my surprise the amount which was transferred to my saving account in HDFC bank was only rs. 2, 33, 920/-. i seek an explanation from ur end that how did u arrive the amount which u deposited in my bank account no. [protected]. after many phone calls to mr. umang shah of surmya i was given an appointment to see ur mr. animesh shah at shivalik-3 in drive-in road, ahmedabad. where after two hr lenghty discussion i was told that ur credit card outstanding amount is being deducted from ur loan amount. here i would like to clarify that my credit outstanding is nil as on today.

          I ASK U THE SIMPLE QUESTION THAT HOW HDFC BANK CAN PLAY A ROLE OF BIG BROTHER AND SETTLE MY DUES WITHOUT INFORMING ME? PLEASE EXPLAIN.

          I HAVE ALREDY PAID THE BALANCE AMOUNT IN 2009 AND CLOSED THE CREDIT ACRD AND I APPLIED FOR A PERSONNEL LOAN IN HDFC BANK, THEY REJECTED MY CASE DUE TO SOME PROBLEM.WHEN ASKED THEM, THEY ARE SAYING THAT YOUR AREDIT CARD AMOUNT IS OVERDUE OF RS. 2310/-. MY NAME IS IN THE LIST OF CIBIL. AFTER PAYING ALL THE AMOUNT ALSO WHY MY NAME IS IN CIBIL"S LIST.WHY ARE YOU PEOPEL NOT UPDATING THE ACCOUNT.

            I was requesting for settlement of the above card account from Sep'2007 and every call bank concerned staff promising me that will settle soon.

            In Nov 2007 bank staff called me and confirmed that settlement request already forwarded and pay now Rs. 3050/- and the same will be deducted from final settled amount accordingly I paid the sum.

            I received settlement letter in January 2008 vide Ref No. S0112313 dt. 18/01/2008 showing settlement amount Rs.24, 000/- on receipt of the same I approched Bank informing the fact that Rs. 3050 I paid in the Month of Nov'07 not deducted and they confirmed that will re-issue letter by deducting Rs.3050/- in the monthof April 2008 but till date not received the same and bank staff (Rohit of HDFC Bank Rajouri Garden Branch New Delhi) calling me by misbehave speaking to pay more as reflecting outsatanding in their system.

            In view of the above, I request you to do the needful to rectify my account

            i have joined in hdfc bank in vellore main branch, officers line has a sales excutive.iam joined in the date of 25.08.2008, and i worked properly as per bank rule.and i give the regular buisness to the bank in account opening and fixed deposits.iam recieved my conformation letter on the date of 25.09.2008.and i opened a salary account in hdfc bank itself but iam not recieving in single rupee as a salary in your concern my superier officer did not said the responsablity information to me about my salary i also quarrled with my supereier officer, but there is no response in your concern my coded salary is Rs 6500-/ and iam resigned my job in 10.04.09 and i already mailed to mr anuj.v.mathur but there is no response finally i decided to file the suit in the court of vellore jurisdication against hdfc bank to the non payment of salary finally i just wait for only a week and my employee code is CV11501 if there is no response in this mail also iam going to file the case in the court.

              I am an customer of Centurion Bank of Punjab Credit Cards[protected]****(Last 4 digits hidden because of privacy) i used this card for about 28000 in the month of dec & in the month of febuary made a payment of Rs. 15000 then a month after i got a call from a collections exec from ICICI bank saying they are taking care of billing for CBOP cards & was asking for cash payment i was slightly relunctant in paying cash of rs. 31000 which i was asked for so i asked him to collect a cheque of the same on[protected] dinesh from Galaxy Comercial Limited (M-79 First Floor M Block GK II New Delhi-48, Registration No. MIV/ST/Bank & FINC/4. PAN Based STC No. : AAACI1195HST001)
              came & collected the cheque of Rs. 31000 vide receipt Number 5612913 the next day same guy called me up & said your dues are not 31000 it is Rs. 32000 so you give a cheque of the same else you will be charged interest on the entire amount to which i agreed & gave him a cheque of Rs. 32000 on 03 -06-08 he promised to return the previous cheque in couple of days time. which i never recieved back . rthen i got an mesage from bank confirming the receipt of payment of Rs. 32000 but unfortunately on 19-06 -08 i got a call from some collection agency saying that the payment hasnt been recvd because the cheque was in favour of Centurion Bank Of Punjab & not ICIC bank & the billing is taken care by ICICI bank & tried convincing him that i am not liable for interest of this period & then i kept the phone down saying i'll check my a/c first after checking the a/c i could check that money hasnt ben taken out so on 23rd i went to ICICI bank but they were not accepting the cheque payment so i called up customer care from the bank only & she said i can pay it in cash with an additional Rs. 100 by the next day before 11 am then i wouldfnt be charged inyterest for the next month. the next i deposited Rs. 35050 in cash in ICICI bank Kamla Nagar Branch. Now on 18- 07-08 i got an sms on my mobile abot cheque recvd which was supposed to be returned to me by the collections agent & the next day i got an msg about the cheque return as the cheque is in favour of CBOP which i gnored as i had already paid that amount in cash then on 20-07-08 i tried to use my card however it was declined which i didnt knew why & unfortunately at that time i didnt had cash in my pocket so i was actually embarrased i had to call somebody to come & pay the bill. After 15 min from then i got an message from CBOP stating that my card balance is in negative[protected] so i tried gettting in touch with Cust Care but asusual line was busy so today 21-07-08 i called STD number of cust Sevice as they do not have any delhi number the agent wasnt ready to listen then i asked to transfer the call to manager . The call was transferred by Natasha - Cust service manager but this lady was actually out of her mind despite of telling her that i calling from delhi to mumbai even she kept on beating around the bush without paying attention to what am i saying the entire call lasted for 53 min 17 sec with no conclusion . I am desperately looking for help. as i i have used 35000 rs on my card & so far i have paid Rs. 50050 & they are asking for another Rs.46000 which even they dont know why. Now my card is blocked even after paying 35050 without any dues they are saying that i cant use the card for another 6 months .

                Hi,
                I was getting charged very heavily on my HDFC cc, I had more then 4 loans other then this HDFC card and i made them clear by making regular payments towards them. My track record is really very good but because of many miss commitment in this HDFC cc account. I went to them and paid the amount they ask me to, and they have provided me with a settlement latter saying that now they don't demand anything with me and it's all over.
                But now i have just got to know that they have put my name in CBIL as a defaulter. I am not sure how fair is this. Now i am trying to apply for a personal loan, and not able to get it because of this issue. I have been very good with all the bank loans that I had, though m suffering and struggling to find the way out.
                I don't understand how to go about this, I really need some good help and justice to prove that I do not deserve to be listed in CEBIL for such case.

                  I applied for activation of wealth management serices offered by HDFC Bank. I filled up the form and handed over to Mr. Kanwaldeep Singh on 31-May 2008 at Deer Park Branch (Delhi).

                  Despite several assurances by Mr. Kanwaldeep Sing (Relationship manager), my account has still not been activated as of today (16-July-2008). HDFC has no satisfactory reply for non-activation of my services. This service normally takes 10-12 working days, however in my case it has not been done for more than 40 working days.

                  I still don't know when this service will get activated.

                    HE HAS QUOTED THE SAME ADDRESS IN THE OPENING ACCOUNT AND SECOND MISTAKE HE HAS DONE THAT OUR NEW ACCOUNT DIRECTED TO HDFC BANK-MATUNGA BRANCH, WE DONT UNDERSTAND HOW DECISION HAS TAKEN BY HIM BECAUSE WE HAD ASKED FOR THE CHARNI ROAD-MUMBAI BRANCH.

                    SECONDLY, WHILE WE HAVE OPENED THE HDFC SECURITIES ACCOUNT WHICH IS CONFIRM BY THE BANK ON THE ADDRESS OF GIVEN BELOW

                    THEN AFTER I WENT TO HDFC BANK-CHARNI ROAD FOR DEPOSITING THE DIFFERENCE AMOUNT TO RETAIN THE RS.25, 000/- BUT THEY SAID YOUR ACCOUNT IS BLOKED AND YOU HAVE TO CONTACT HDFC BANK-MATUNGA BRANCH

                    I HAVE CALLED MATUNGA BRANCH MADAM ARCHANA HAS ASKED ME TO COME WITH THE RESIDENT PROOF AND TO FILL CHANGE OF ADDRESS SO MY ACCOUNT CAN BE ACTIVATE AND I CAN GET WELCOME KIT FROM CHENNAI AFTER COMPLETING THE FULL PROCEDURE. SO I ASKED HER TO CALL MR.RAJEEV DHANAWADE SO IT CAN BE CLARIFY WHY HE HAS DONE THE MISTAKE AND PUTTING US IN HARRASMEN SITUATION THEN SHE TOLD ME THAT YOU HAVE TO CALL HIM AND WE SHALL NOT CALL HIM

                    NOW I WANT TO ASK THEM, ARE THEY DOING ANY FAVOUR OR OBLIGATION? THEY SHOULD UNDERSTAND THEY ARE DOING SIMPLY BUSINESS AND IF THEY DO NOT BOTHER ABOUT SMALL ACCOUNT OPENER THEN THEY SHOULD STOP CALLING THE PEOPLE FOR OPENING THE NEW ACCOUNT.

                    I NEED TO SAY THAT THEY SHOULD TAKE ACTION AGAINST THE SUCH EMPLOYEES AND I AM READY TO PROVIDE THE DOCUMENTARY PROOF FROM MY RESIDENT BECAUSE I AM NOT IN EMPLOYMENT OF HDFC SO I SHOUDL GO THERE

                    I HOPE, THEY TAKE ACTION IN MY FAVOUR WITHOUR ABISE AND I HOPE THEY WILL TRY TO RETAIN THEIR GOODWILL IN THE MARKET BECAUSE TO CREAT A GOODWILL IT'S NOT JUST SIMPLE TASK BECAUSE ITS RESULT OF YOUR MANY EMPLOYEES.

                    i want to deal with HDFC bank from last six month for my various need but its a surprising situation for me that even the employee"s of one of the branch dont want to treat the customer well i have talk to several employees for my saving account but they simply told we cant open your account even they dont have time to hear me do you believe i opened my account in axix bank with the help of same document which i shown in front of hdfc bank club road main road ranchi .I simply want to know one thing if any document be left in my case you can simply tell to your customer or explain the situation, there is no need to be irritate the person who is sitting for customer support he is not supporting the customer even become irritated for a simple queries .Is it happen in all branches of hdfc pls clerify i dont think so.

                      I was recruited to work for HDFC SLIC on 7th Feb, 2008 to work with it on off roal. At the time of recruitment all formalities were taken by me from Mr. sandeep Bhatnagar (Head Ops, Allahabad).

                      He said that I would be recieving the appintment letter in a couple of days. But, I never got it. At the end I left the company on 26th Feb, 2008 because I was not satisfied. I was ensured that I will be getting 15 days salary as I was off- roal.

                      I also worked for about 30 hrs Overtime. I should have got the chq of around Rs. 4000/- for this.

                      But nobody is ready to help me out on this. Even sandeep is also trying to avoid the salary being given to me.

                      I have the proof of my attandance register along with my OT hrs countersigned with the BIC there. Also i submitted my resigntion there and have the recieving.

                      Can somebody help me out in providing me a resolution that whether I am entitled to get that salary and how can I get that salary. Right now I am working with ICICI Prudential.

                      No terms and conditins were discussed with me at the time of recruitment.

                      Looking forward for a hasty reply.

                        CENTURION BANK OF PUNJAB LTD. ( NOW HDFC Bank ) has returne our 2 cheques 938782 for Rs.55000.00 on 01Jul, 2008 and 938783 for Rs.45000.00 on 03Jul, 2008 inspite of sufficient balance in the account **********770.

                        No one in the branck takes responsibilty and have not checked and reverted till date. Two different complaints in writing were made to branch on 07Jul, 2008 and 10Jul, 2008.

                        Is there any law to screw the bank for such deeds?
                        I had 200 shares of Centurion Bank of punjab, at the time of merging with HDFC bank as per ratio 1:29, I have received 6 shares of HDFC bank but till today I have not recd the money (1255 Rs) of remaining shares.
                        So Plese do the needful

                          Dear sir
                          This Cent Bank had sent me my 1st stmt of credit card with the due date Immidiate and whose opening bal is Zero.
                          Accept one stmt all stmt had due date immidiate whether you pay or not pay.
                          they intentionaly sends the stmt after due date and charges late fees and over limit fees and int on it this thing they do every month so if you pay or not pay you cant.

                          I got your Id from ICICI Banks Cust. Serv. Manager isn’t it should be a big shame for you.

                          After few months from receiving I started getting daily 3-4 times calls and miss calls from your collection department by misusing the name of ICICI bank .I had requested those fools to kindly arrange a call back for me but I didn’t got a single call from your side. If I won’t get any response now then I’ll be pushed by shameless behavior to go to Consumer Court/Human Rights, RBI and electronic media like CNBC and on others too.

                          Because you don’t understand the gentle mans /professionals language. I was waiting for your reply every time I was promised by the collection deptt Mumbai after I made each time a payment

                          Have seen my track with ICICI bank Card and HDFC Bank Card.my cards

                          Got upgraded my limit got enhanced. Since last 2-3 month its again the time for limit enhancement. I want immediately a revert and call back from your side.

                          Like you there is another consumer loan company whose !st EMI I didn’t paid because they had informed me about my repayment after the scheduled date due to their this drama my 2.5 lacs personal loan got cancelled as it caused bounce they had taken my cheques leaving the place of date blank promising that they will inform me earlier But me and my Mom tired of getting asked, but there was no response from the dealer and there office too till 16 th of that month they also started there payment before 30 days whereas my account have Rs.6000 deposited 1 week earlier but they made it bounce before that I promise I would make the payment but I need a written clarification from you. They didn ’t gave reply and I didn’t made payment the amount was of just of Rs.708 .I made all the next seven installment smoothly but didn’t paid them Rs.708.this company’s consumer durable Fin got vanished from market. Is it now your turn for that you are trying to get income by bluffing
