We, Pvt. Ltd., Company recently opened a ASCENT type Current Account with T. Nagar 2 Branch during the month of November with an initial deposit of Rs.10 Lakhs. For that amount we issued our OD Account cheque leaf of Nationalised Bank. Our present OD Account was debited within 3 days from the date of submission of Account Opening application forms along with all supporting and necessary documents to the Dy. Branch Manager, who collected personally from our office. At the time of handing over the Rs.10 Lakhs cheque with Application form, we requested him to give an acknowledgement. But, he told that he will provide all the photo copies of our Account Opening Forms (which all were signed by our Company Directors), immediately when our new Current Account is being opened. We receive an E. Mail message from HDFC Bank that our Account was opened on 18.11.2022. But, our OD cheque was debited on 09.11.2022 itself. What was the reason to keep our Rs.10 Lakhs with them for about 10 days without crediting our new account? Till todate, Dy. Branch Manager not handed over the photocopies of our Account Opening Forms to us, even though we sent E. Mail request cum reminder with a copy to the Branch Manager of T. Nagar 2 Branch of HDFC. We need the proper and acceptable reason(s) for holding our Rs.10 Lakhs with them idle. Else, we need the interest for 10 days for our Rs.10 Lakhs (we already paid the OD interest for that Rs.10 Lakhs to our Nationalised Bank, from where our amount was debited and credited to HDFC Bank.
