Tl: dr - hdfc put a charge on my credit card which went unpaid as i was in the us for 3 years and has shot my credit score in india

I had a credit card with hdfc since 2012 with 0 annual fees as a corporate perk. I had used the card sparingly till 2014 and always made payments well before the due dates.

In sep 2014 i moved to the us and stopped using my indian cards. The hdfc credit card has not been used since then nor any pending balance was on that card.

I returned to india in 2017. At my new job i was applying for a credit card with another bank and was told that my credit card application was rejected as my credit score is very low. I was shocked as i had just paid off an education loan of rs xx lacs well before the time period.

After checking my cibil report i saw that hdfc was showing a balance of rs 1200/- on my card and the amount had been written off. I was shocked at this. I contacted multiple customer care executives and was told that they can neither clarify this charge nor tell me where and when it was accrued.

To add insult to injury when i contacted the hdfc credit card claims department in my hometown i was told that i will have to pay about rs. 10000 and they will rectify the status as settled in the cibil report. Not a "no dues" certificate just settled.

Its been over a year since i started asking them to provide me details so i can start improving my score and settle this matter. I still haven't got a clear answer from them.

This simple oversight has led to a complete collapse of my finances as i can not apply for loans, credit cards or any other credit-based elements. I would highly recommend people to steer clear of this bank.

      removal of name and details from irda pan look up portal

      Hello sir... I joined hdfc life as an agent on 1 april 2015... After one years i got terminated... But my pan number is still showing in pan lookup portal... Plz remove my name and pan card details from it so that i could join other insurance company because without the clearance of details in irda lookup i cant join other company...       Sir/mam,
      I have file a request regarding closing my hdfc account. When i requested to my nearest branch they have told me that we have taken a request regarding that don't worry it will be closed with in 7 working days... I have requested on 5 feb 019 but today i have recieved massage from hdfc that your account balance has been charged due to insufficient balance... I have checked through net banking my balance is showing negative and my account is also not closed. Please take strong action regarding that.

        My salary account (In hdfc bank) was created in my first company, suddenly my father expired in 6th feb 2017 after left my job for some reasons and after all responsibility of my family on me my family lives in varanasi. So, i am arriving in varanasi, after approx 2 years we came in kolkata for living and transfer my lpg connection from my father name for my name, suddenly, iam shocked my subsidy amount transferred in my salary account and check my account which is showing negative balance = -8468.27 (Without informing me or warning me), i had called customer care and raised a request to close my account as i did not want to use the account and they did say that they will follow up with the request and close the account.

        According to new rbi guidelines banks are not supposed to penalise for dormant accounts but when i contacted the customer care they are refraining from closing it saying i have to fill the fine.
        Where should i approach now. Please help.

          Hi HDFC, I made a transaction of 850 with udemy NetBanking after transaction done o got a message like this TOMGOOGLEPLAYMASTERM with above transaction id. I confirmed with the udemy google pay service that they did not receive the amount although amount is debited from account. Please look into it and refund the amount.

                I have attached a snap shot for your ref. I the courier people kalina branch says that someone told him I shifted from here. How is it possible when he didn't even call me on my phone I have no number showing on my phone. He could have called and come to my house or he could have seen if any lock on my door to confirm. Very sad. To say bad service. Pls send my card asap. If possible both my cards.

                  I am very much dissapointed with the services provided by HDFC bank.
                  On 6 april 2019, i went to UCO Bank atm to withdraw rs 10000 cash but this withdrawal was reflected in my savings account and no money was received as atm didn't dispensed the cash.
                  I contacted my relationship manager of my savings account provided by HDFC bank and told him about this.He told me that I have to wait for 48 hrs.
                  I waited for 48 hrs and then called him today i.e. 8 april 2019.
                  Today he told me that Sunday was off so you have to wait for 24 hrs more and he told me to call him by 9th April 2019.
                  I found something wrong here and called hdfc customer care. Customer care executive told me that if such atm withdrawal issue is with hdfc bank then we have to wait for 48 hrs and if it happens on some another bank, then it should be immediately contacted to bank so that a complaint can be forwarded at the earliest.
                  This customer care executive assisted me well and logged my complaint . I received the complaint number by sms.i totally appreciate it. But my relationship manager was just directing me in wrong way.
                  I want that some action must be taken against him for misguiding me.
                  I want to change my relationship manager or i am going to close my savings account in hdfc once i am getting my 10000 for which complaint is added.

                    And the behaviour of branch is so unrealistic that it is proving itself almost useless.
                    Today i went for r. T. G. S and the branch proved useless and i was told to reach city branch at huda sectors 12 branch, panipat.
                    When i reached here, they also retured me with the statement that, "our system is down".

                      I filled all the necessary details for credit card even got 1 verification call another verification for address another verification for address verification of my school got 2-3 successful processed messages. I work in government school as assistant teacher and my credit was simply declined, i had submitted my service book salary slip pan adhar form 16 school letter by principle with sign n seal
                      And it was said to delivered by your side with 10 days. Now again they are saying it will take up to 7-8 days again.
                      Just tell me directly whether you will give me or i have to switch to other bank for the same and ask you to clear mine data that you stored in your data base.

                        I am writing this mail after a pain moment of last 21 days which got

                        I had a loan account running with hdfc bank and same was closed in
                        December 2018 after paying all settlement amount.

                        Noc and closure letter was also received for the same.

                        Below are details of my loan account

                        I have also added hdfc bank loan account details in my standard
                        Chartered bank account as beneficiary with below details. (Sometimes
                        Used to send emi amount on the account in case of bounce of emi).

                        Payee name - retail assets

                        Ifsc code - hdfc0004989

                        On 1st feb 2019, while transferring an amount of 25000 to one of my
                        Friend, by mistake send the amount in closed loan account mentioned
                        Above.

                        Below are the details of transaction.

                        Sender bank - standard chartered bank

                        Imps ref no[protected]

                        Amount - 25000.

                        I have recieved message from hdfc bank stating that payment of
                        Rs.25000 has been updated on your loan account after 3 days i, e, on
                        4th feb

                        I also got call from one of bank representative on 7th
                        Febuary 2019 that we are initiating refund.

                        I have also registered complaints regarding refund for the said amount
                        By calling customer care but nothing happened.

                        Case reference numbers is: 897531

                        Today i got the response to the above complain number that complaint
                        Is closed as bank is not able to find the transaction in system.

                        I don't know how hdfc bank works and how transactions verified but its
                        Been 22 days and bank old me that they are not able to fetch the
                        Transaction details.

                        Is this some kind of joke going on? Bank is not able to identify a transaction.

                        I used to call daily customer care and explain daily issue to customer
                        Representative. I am feeling frustrated as i am standing there only
                        Without any solution. Whenever any emi misses or payment is due-bank
                        Persons make calls and make life hell but when some person is looking
                        For some resolution, bank is not able to verify a transaction in a
                        System. Please dont force me to take a legal complaint against bank

                        Attaching the screenshot of transaction done on 1st feb and message
                        Recieved from hdfc bank regarding updation of amount

                        Please help me with the solution for the above mentioned issue as i
                        Want my money back. I needed that money urgently as i am jobless
                        Person.

                        Sir this is final reminder from my side if no action take place soon i
                        Will move to court. It's upto you whether you want me to take strict
                        Action or not!

                        Please consider this case on high priority and revert me back either
                        Through below mention my cell/email.

                          imps fund transfer failure

                          I had made a transaction (Imps transfer of rs.6400) in one account, the error showing is host offline / issuer node offline. The transaction was made on 2nd of april & yet money has not returned back. Reading other complaints i had waited for so many days but yet even after a week there is no clue of money returning.
                          When will i get my money back?...

                          I CLOSED the car loan I had on the 4th of April 2019. Normally the emi is paid as auto debit from my savings account with HDFC. My account was debited this month too and when I check with the bank, they say it will take 7 working days to credit that amount back. Am not able to understand the delay and my account has been blocked which is even worse. Need to stop this arrogance shown by the banks

                              My name is Ravinder Singh and my HDFC credit card ending with 3562.
                              HDFC credit card marked lien on my account without my knowledge and now I am facing lots of problem in my financial life as this is only my account where I got payments.

                              I met with an accident in December month 2018 and I was unable to go to work for last 3 months and all my saving gone to recover myself, repairing the car, car EMI and Jumbo loan EMI and I was not in the condition to pay my credit card bill.

                              Now I start going to work and this month and I want to pay my credit card’s January bill but credit card recovery department blocked my credit card as well as my bank account and I am having very hard time.

                              I had a word with recovery team and I promised to pay 14600/- to continue my card but how can I pay that amount when they blocked my Bank account.

                              Request you to please unblock my bank account so I can pay my credit card minimum bill. I don’t have much fund in my account to pay all due.

                                I have an hdfc edc machine tid no. 28070408 at my pump m/s ch. Taleram filling station. From starting 7-10-18 to till now you have deducted total rs. 5336/-. At the time of edc installation you have promised me that you will charge only annual charges of machine. Now you are requested that after deducted annual charges please reimburse me my balance amount.

                                  Please send me a Copy of the "NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE" for the Settlement that was done on my HDFC Bank Credit Card# ([protected])

                                  In spite of my full payment of the amount, i have not received my noc. Neither my account is updated in cibil as settled. It still shows as overdue/ active status. Kindly do the needful and please issue my noc.

                                  Even I visited[protected] hdfc credit card office near Tank Bund Road after taking the compliant till no reply the staff were so rude for asking Genuine questions regarding the documents.

                                  Still, There is no update regarding the status and your advice is to contact your debt management executives. Well to say i have visited one of your Hdfc Bank credit card office again and gave application for NOC. But still no update and whom I should contact when u didn't provide any basic info...I need to have some contact details or specific email or number.
