I received a call yesterday, 26.10.2017 :
"i am calling form mobile no [protected] claiming it from hdfc life insurance one niharika. You have taken a policy called 'classic assurance plan' on 13.3.12. Policy no. : 11452374. You have paid only first time rs. 50000. After that no premium has been paid for 7 years. So you have to pay rs. 3 lac.. We have recived message for cancellation of this policy as so much time is over. If you go for resettlement you have to pay first 6 premiums i.. E 3 lac and then can continue for 7 years. If you don't resettle witjin 1 week you will get only 5% of your paid amt. (50000) and neither hdfc nor you will get balance. It will go to irda."
She gave me name and phone no. [protected] :deepti nagar ([protected]) of regional head. She told me to call this no. And tell my decision.
Today when i called this no. She said it might have happened that when policy was taken agent told you it is one time only so you have not paid.. He conveyed my present residence address where i have been living since 2015 (Whereas policy was claimed to have taken in 2012) correct. Date of birth, my name correct. When i confronted about address, she said that your data has been updated in 2016.
I told him i have not received any document or mail id. He said no mail id is mentioned there in policy document.
She said that a link will be provided wherein i will have to make payment of rs 50, 000/ for new policy which will be refunded in 90 days after deducting minima amount. I was asked to give aadhar no, pan card and cancelled cheque for payment of rs 1.85 lakhs from earlier policy
I haven't received the link, but i have forwarded my aadhar no, pan card and cancelled on whattsapp no [protected]. Please take action against all of them if they are fraud

Updated by mihir ranjan1 phone call was received on 15.11.2018/16.11.2018 and 17.11.2018 from Niharika and not 26.10.2017
