HDFC Bank Customer Care's response Dear Baseet,
We request you to provide the below details to enable us to track the status of your application for account closure:
1. Date when application was sent/submitted
2. Complete address of the branch where the application was sent/submitted
3. Mode of sending (post or courier details).
If the closure request was submitted/sent more than a year back, please provide us with the acknowledgement copy. Incase you are not in possession of the acknowledgement copy, request you to visit the nearest branch and submit a fresh request for account closure.

The TAT's for removal of linkages is as below and the same is also mentioned in the combined closure form :
Credit card : 10 working days
De-linking/Relinking any product (eg loan/fd/locker etc) : 10 working days
Depository account : 10 working days
Trading Account : 10 working days
Investment services(ISA) : 10 working days (no holding ) and 20 working days (with holding)
Incase the account is still not closed as per above TAT, request you to revert to us with the above details to track the status of your application.

Contact you previous employer to resolve this. Also past few months the EPF websites are not working properly. So try to visit the EPF Branch office where u had submit / post your request. Also u may escalate the complaint / request to EPF higher officials with proper information through mail / hard complaint.
