I had purchased a HDFC Life Sampoorn Samridhi Insurance plan which stated on 23.12.11 for 5years and maturity was due on December'2016 and annual premium was Rs. 24372/- Second premium was also paid during December'12 but due to forget and other reason premium of 2013 and 2014 could not paid. During 2015 (fifth) premium paid online. When I visited HDFC Office, Guwahati, Assam during 2016 the staff of the office told me that due to none payment of 3rd and 4th premium it is now to be revive and to revive the policy I have to pay Rs. 56672 which I have paid vide by cheque later it is has been inform that Rs. 336/- more is to be paid which I have paid.
When again I have visited to HDFC office to know the development of my maturity payment the staff told me that due to lapsed of premium of 2013 and 2014 earlier paid premium will not be paid by the Company. Ultimate the company paid me Total Rs. 82916.01/-(Rs. 56910+24372+1644.01). But the amount paid by me during starting the policy and second premium not paid i.e. Rs. 48644/-(Rs. 24372+24372).
In this connection, I would like to state that as per Provision 6(ii) of the Policy it has been clearly mentioned "Reinstatement of Lapsed and Paid-Up-policies, I your policy has been paid-Up or lapsed. it may be reinstated, subject to our consent and such terms and condition as we may specify from time to time. The terms and conditions would include a minimum of providing satisfactory evidence of good health, payment of all outstanding premiums and interest on all outstanding premiums". Which I have paid and dully filled up form provided to me in regards my health. But the premium paid by me during 2011 and 2012 has not paid to me by the Company.
Now my question is why Company includes such provision, lapse may be happened due to unforeseen various reason, moreover where I have paid lapsed premium with interest why the Company is not willing to pay my amount.
I, therefore, request hour honour kindly look into the matter on priority basis as I am suffering from financial hardship. The details of my policy are as follow:-
