This is with regards to a grievance that i would like to share with you.

Hindustan Times, being one of the widely read dailies in our country has been offering its readers a great platform.

I would like to bring to your notice that inspite of repeated mails to Hindusta Times ie HT, no action / response from HT.
I have spoken to their Customer Complaint vide complaint No.1365 & they had promised to short-the problem ASAP. Now the Month is going to complete no action taken by HT. resulting No news paper supply from more than 3 week. The copy of mails sent to them given below :

I had mad a complained to your customer care (Complaint No. 1365) & they
promised that your vendor will start the delivering paper ASAP. Which could not
materialised till date.

Request you to please look into matter & advise to concern for restoration of
supply of news Paper.
Also note That :
1- I am away from national / international NEWS from last 2 week due to
negligance at your part.
2- Why not legal action to be taken against your company for the negligence at
your part.
3- How your company is going to full fill the such losses,

sir,
I am realy heart broken by the service i got from HT( Noida connect). I signed a contract of Rs 21000/- with Mr.Atul from noida connect to publish my ad in the 28-10-10 issue . I have some complaint regarding that and i want you people to please take some action and return my money back.I am not getting any response from Mr.Atul.

Problems :
1. ad was published without my final approval .
2. The ad which I finalised was not published(as from the online copy of the ad).
3. There was major printing mistake in whatever ad was printed(as told my frnds from noida).
4. This ad resulted a bad impression about my company on my clients.
5. They Promised my that they have a circulation of 55000 copies in noida , which is wrong.

I Want My Compensation ASAP.

I have been a subscriber of the Hindustan Times newspaper (Scheme of Rs. 199 for 1 Year) offered by their Executive. Ever since I got my subscription almost an year back, I have been having issues of irregular delivery of the newspaper by their local vendor. Despite my repeated follow-ups and complaints to their Customer Care and Sales team, the situation hasn't really improved. At times the vendor doesn't deliver the paper for 2-3 days in a week. I noticed that this happens when the paper is likely to have a good circulation in the open market, like day after Ayodhya verdict, day after India blanked Australia 2-0 in Test cricket, day after CWG ended,etc. Since the local vendor knows that I have subscribed to HT newspaper thru the Annual Scheme and have Coupons for each month, he will get the money in full from HT even if he doesn't supply the paper regularly.
Since the Customer Care / Circulation Dept.[protected] has not been willing to look into this matter, I somehow managed to approach their local Area Sales Manager, who promised to look into the matter. In fact, he requested me to approach another newspaper vendor in my locality, though he would know fully well that these vendors fiercely guard their respective territories and avoid internal feuds between themselves. However, I did approach couple of other vendors from nearby localities but was each vendor refused to supply me the HT paper, being out of his "territory".
Now, with no other option but to suffer till my subscription expires later this year, I decided to write this feedback / review for others to read and be aware of the callous attitude of one of the largest media houses of our country. It is really disappointing to get such poor service from HT. I hope other readers will be prudent not to subscribe to HT thru their Annual Scheme etc. and continue to buy their newspapers from the vendor stalls.

I had renewed my subscription for Hindustan Times for a period of 1 year @ Rs.199. My previous subscription was to end in September 2010 which means my renewal should have started in October 2010

However the coupons i received start from November 2010 which means I would have to pay for 1 month of the paper. When I called the customer care # this is what i was told:-

- booking date is treated as the date of subsciption, however the coupons issued are dated after a month. Hence I should have booked & issued my renewaal cheque only at the end of September. Also they cannot give me coupon for the month of October 2010 hence I would have to pay for that month.

What i would then like to know is:-

- why was I sent a renewal sms in August & why was the cheque collected from me early.
- They take 21 working days to issue the coupons so if I wait until my previous subscription ends before renewing it it would again delay my renewal process.

This is the 1st time ever that i have heard of any subscription that considers the booking date as the date of renewal & not take into account the expiry date of the previous subscription period.

When i lodged a complaint i was told that they would get back to me in 10-15 days, who works like this? Any complaint lodged with customer care does not take more than 24-48 hours to be attended to. What kind of people run this newspaper????

I had booked a matrimonial advertisement for my daughter vide above mentioned receipt no. DTM162992 dated 14th September, 2010 (Issued by HT MEDIA LIMITED) which was to be appeared in "Grooms wanted" under the heading Agarwal today i.e. on 19/10/2010 in "Hindustan times" but the same has not been appeared in the paper in grooms wanted. However I have found that same advertisement has been appeared in bride wanted which is of no use. It was never expected from such renowned paper. I have tried number of times with various telephone numbers but no satisfactory reply has been given and behavior was also rude. An emailed was also sent to feedback services at [protected]@hindustantimes.com but was failed with following remarks

"Because:

Error delivering to feed back/mktg/del/htl; Router: Database disk quota exceeded"
The person attending the telephone refused to give the email ID for complaint and email id in receipt is also not given. It is requested to take up the matter with appropriate authorities for necessary refund of money as Hindustan times has failed to provide the paid service.

Have subscribed to 6 monthly subscription of HT English and had faced a serious non delivery problem due to vendor for about 20 days which was rectified by HT after complaining here but now again the newspaper is not dropped every alternate day, have not been able to trace vendor even.

PRESENTLY I AM RESIDING AT II ND FLOOR OF 2437, SAINIK COLONY, SECTOR 49, FARIDABAD. THE NEWSPAPER BOY USED TO DELIVER THE NEWS PAPER IN TIME SINCE LAST 5 YEARS. IN RECENT PAST WE THE INHABITANT OF OUR LANE FOUND THAT THE NEWS PAPER IS BEING DELIVERED VERY LATE AS SUCH WE ASKED HIM TO DELIVER IN TIME OR ELSE WE WILL ASK OTHER PEOPLE TO DELIVER, TO WHICH HE REFUTED STRONGLY AND THREATENED THAT AT FARIDABAD HE IS CONTROLLING THE CIRCULATION AND NO BODY ELSE CAN DELIVER AND YOU WILL NOT EVEN ABLE TO GET NEWSPAPER IF SO INSTRUCTED.

TO MY SURPRISE, SUPPLY OF NEWS PAPER TO MY FLOOR HAS BEEN STOPPED SINCE 22ND OF AUGUST SINCE I WAS COMPLAINED ABOUT THE LATE DELIVERY.. WHEN I ASKED ANOTHER BOY WHO USUALLY DELIVERS IN TIME, HE REFUSED TO DELIVER ON THE GROUND THAT ON THE INSTRUCTION OF EARLIER DELIVERY BOY NO NEWSPAPER WILL BE SUPPLIED TO IIND FLOOR OF 2437, SAINIK COLONY, SECTOR 49, FARIDABAD.

THIS IS NOTHING BUT AN ACT OF ADOPTION OF MONOPOLY BY WHICH I AM BEING PREVENTED TO READ NEWSPAPER. KINDLY REDRESS MY GRIEVANCES AND ARRANGE TO ENSURE REGULAR AND TIMELY SUPPLY OF DAILY NEWS PAPER

I have subscribe to Hindustan times offer for 1 yr news paper HT & Mint for Rs 298 & 198 respectively in the month of April-2010, but i have not received any coupons from HT media even after passing 5 months and my news paper vendor is also denying to deliver paper for non-availability of coupons.

Company is not responding to my complaint even after several reminders to them.

I request you to please help me out and get me the right compensation for the same.

My subscriber’s first form No. 644498 and 652308 unfortunately bounce my cheque and my another cheque amount also received your office. But coupon is not received since 29/05/10 and I am also conduct your customer center ever week and she told reply same answer NEXT WEEK YOUR COUPON WILL BE SEND IT and also she asked my mobile number ([protected] & [protected]) and address for confirmation but till date I am not received any confirmation call and coupon and I am also send sms through my mobile to 54242 three time but no answering and also I got Mr. Nilesh, Asstt.Mgr. his mobile No. [protected] conducted five times. But he also same answering WHAT ABOUT HT ADMINISRATOR or HR HIGHER OFFICER DOING WHAT A POOR ADMINISTRATION. I also spend the amount over the copun in your office No.67764242The paper boy daily asking me what about my coupon sir he spend amount in his packet. In this regard what can I do next step for received coupon.

One month before I have been subscribe the HT Mint newspaper of Rs 499/- (credit card payment) on date: 05/07/2010 and got the quote reference no# 9637409 on my phone as message on the same day and they said that I get the coupans within 2 weeks for 1 years newspaper of HT Mint. Although I have been registring the complans 3 times in HT Cust. care center and even they said that I will get coupans within 1 week but now it's already past 1 month and yet I haven't received any coupans from courier....Please assist me in this regard and I think I am the only one who has paid the amount for the product (HT Mint) before , without having any use of it till yet. Hi,

I have applied for Hindustan Times and MINT newspaper subscritpion on 3rd Jun 2010. BUt till date no coupans have been sent by Hindustan Times. When contacted to Hindustan Times, they said there is no record of that coupan.
Now the sales person, the marketing executives are ignoring calls and not giving any respnse from last 2 weeks.
I need a clarification from Hindustan Times regarding this.

One fine day we received courier from Hindustan Times. It contained coupons for six months free subscription of newspaper. We asked our newspaper vendor about it and he accepted but asked us to give him all the coupons at once/one time, otherwise he won't deliver us the newspaper. We did as he said. And after two months he told us the scheme has been withdrawn and now we have to pay for it. All the coupons are with the vendor and we are trying to get in touch with HT customer care, where it just rings, no reply.

Its a small thing of paying 125/150 rupees. But we don't want vendor to act smart with us. If the scheme has been withdrawn, he might have received some circular for that, we asked him to show the same us but he refused and stopped our newspaper.

Will appreciate if some action is being taken on HT and vendor also or suggest us how to deal with it.

This is to seek urgent redressal of an ongoing issue wherein we had been approached by Hindustan Times guy for enrolment to leadership offer requiring six month subscription of the daily, but having taken that on 19 april There have been irregular supply by vendor and since last three days discontinuation of the same, for which we had tried reaching the customer assistance no. for Moradabad provided by HT offer but only after 9 no response calls was able to speak to one Mr. Pankaj on [protected], who said you will receive resolution in a day but all in vain nothing has been done moreover now this no. on dialing says it does not exist, now if any important news or employment advertisement is missed due to this reluctancy and no concern by HT group who should be held responsible, since that newspaper vendor is and the HT guy is not traceable, I seek assistance urgently from you.

No.[protected] (Scan copy of cash Memo is being sent as an ATTACHMENT.Mr. Tiwari who delivers news paper does not drop it at my residence in spite of paying Labour charges to him.Today,he told me that he will stop delivering the news paper when I complained that I didn't get the news paper today.It is a frequent problem,he drops the news paper on the 2nd.floor My flat no. is 340 and i stay on 3rd.floor and somebody else picks up the paper and I don't get the news paper to read in spite of paying for that along with Rs. 3/- as service charges per month as imposed by the vendor.Kindly do the needful and instruct the vendor to deliver the news paper properly.Dr. M.K.Verma ,Contact Nos. We had paid for the subscription and it has been 3 months and yet the news paper has not been started. Several phone calls were made to several executives and still nothing has been done. THIS IS OUR "HINDUSTAN" AND THESE ARE OUR "TIMES" that once known as the news paper which spoke the heart of the citizens now itself is on the darker side. What are we to learn from this what are the "TIMES" of our "HINDUSTAN".

I paid yearly subscrition amount of Rs.199/- to my vendor from Thane. Later HT salesperson again collected Rs.199/- towards subscription which was paid by us inadvertently. Now as we have received 2 sets of coupn in the same name I requested for solution to HT. I was told that as the amount can not be refuneded I can gift it to somone. But as its clearly mentioned on the coupon that its not transferable I contacted again. Then I was told to send back the coupons as HT office so that they can orgnise the refund but they are not ready to give their address. I dont undertsnd how to send the coupons to their office. Whenever I call customer care I m getting variety of answers. HT officials are not approcahble at all. Pleasse help.

i darshana waghela had paid an amt of 349/ for a 2 year subscription of hindustan times on date 06/06/08 by cheque. i have not recieved any coupons for the second year.i also made calls at ur customer care but to vain they do not respond they just cut the call without any answers.please answer my complaint or else i will need to go to the consumer court.
