Dear Madam / Sir,

I had recently opted for the Annual Subscription Plan at Rs. 199 offered by Hindustan Times / HT Media thru' their promotional offer in my office premises. Firstly, though their Executive collected the cheque from me on 08-OCT-2009, I managed to get the Subscription Coupon (Coupon no.2028089) only in late Nov'09. Since my regular newspaper vendor didn't accept the HT coupon, I sought help from the subscription & circulation Dept. of HT in Mumbai, who arranged for their Executive to provide the newspaper to me daily through their vendor in Thane. However, I noticed that besided being erratic in deliveries, the vendor used to deliver the newspaper daily around 8.30 a.m. which is quite late - even by Mumbai/Thane standards. In a city like Mumbai where people leave home for office by 8 a.m. getting newspaper delivered so late is pointless, as one can only read the paper on return home, often late evening. Despite my repeated requests to the Circulation / Subscription Dept. to change the vendor, they conveniently asked me to follow-up with their Executive in Thane area, which has been of no avail.
I would like to request HT Media to be reasonable in their service levels, and warn fellow readers to beware of promises by even reputed business houses.

Respected officer,
I subscribed hindustan times for two years on a promotional offer scheme so i recieved the coupons for the first year however havent recieved any coupons for the second year and now i am liable to pay by news paper vendor for the second year ,i called the customer care several times but no one responded till now ,
hence regards to this please guide me what should i do the next how can i get the coupons or the subscription amount from HT

Hindustan Times person visited myhouse for HT Offer for Rs. 199 /- for a year's subscription of 'Hindustan Times' Newspaper. (Form No. 504028 Dtd. 06.10.2009)

The cheque was in favour of HT Media Ltd., which was cleared after a week.

A call came from HT also regarding the subscription confirmation and address confirmation. But till date no coupon has been delivered to me, also the customer care no. 67764242 does not answer. It's kept on machine mode.

Please help.

My self Joseph pk residing in B4 Aishwariya chs, Near Hiranandani Hospital, Powai,Mumbai-76, do here by compliants that.I have paid for two yeatrs Hindustan times daily.I got only one year papaer.After making contnious call to [protected].company sales staff no response from company side.I request treat this as a compaliant and give me a reply in this respect. vendor says that the subscription period is long over and has refused to deliver the paper. According to me the subscription ends on october 4, 2009. please confirm this date. I have certain figures jotted down but i don't know exactly what they are. --HT 5464, 151851. Please reconfirm expiry of my subscription.

Dear Sir,
I had subscribed for two years subscription of Hindustan times newspaper against their scheme. My subscription form no : 270499 dated 30.12.2007 through HT executive Arun Kumar Singh (Ex. code NSX35). I had received the first years subscription coupons after a lot of follow up with HT office after 2-3 months of subscription. When it came to next year for new coupons, I have followed up with HT call center for several times but could not get any proper response other than a new copmplaint number & assurance that my complaint will be handled in next two weeks. Deatils of my complaints are as below :

I was also not allowed to talk to any other senior person of HT telling the reason that call certer executivs are not authorized to discose any senior person's name to consumers. Somehow after a a lot of conversatins, I could get the refernce of two local area managers/officers from the call center thro whom I could talk to Mr. Bhaskar ([protected]) & Mr. Ankush ([protected]). Evne two two officers kept me hanging for a long time & kept me busy in switching the discussion between teses two without any clear committment.
Two weeks before, I was told by then that my coupons in their hands but yet not received by me for some unknown reason.
Pls note the newspaper vendor has already discontinued paper to me since last one month & has reimbursed the cost for earlier papers dropped at myhouse for which I could not give him the HT coupons.

I have spent a lot of money in talking to HT call centers & officers for a long time (probably it would be more than the benefit of this subscription) & also I am disturbed mentally by not getting any response from HT office added by bad words of my newspaper vendor for not giving monthly payment/coupon in time.

I have only hope to get some justice by giving this complaint to you, with the reimbursement for all my mental/financial harassment by HT office.

dear sir this is to request you to please remove chhajas[illegal extended shops occuping foot path] on main road of chandni chowk as poeple are unable to walk creating chaos on road making it look worst then ever as common wealth games arriving visitors comming to see red fort, chandni chowk mcd busy making money doing nothing eaven as honourable supreme court has odered to remove them therefore keeping public view in mind remove them with immidiate effect thanking you

My compliant is that hindustan hindi and english combo packs can't distributed in earlier rates.
Rates become high at every month, in starting is Rs 99 but now it is Rs 200. Please do something about this, how could company raises rates like this, this is not affordable for middle class families. Please do something.

I am so sorry to post a complaint against the services provided by Hindustan Times or the representatives of thie News Paper.

I paid an amount by cheque towards 2 year subscription of Hindustan Times, which is due to finish in November. But till dates (in 19 months) this is the 3rd time my Vendor has stopped delivering me news paper on an excuse that he has not received the coupons from you end. Infact with in 8 months only he stopped 1st time, arguing that the subscription period is over. Here his records were wrong and were rectified after one of your customer services representative's intervention.

2nd time he stopped delivering th paper after 13 months, making an excuse that he has not received any coupons from your side towards the 2nd year. Here again after a long follow up, and with an intervation of your customer services representative, it was sorted.

Now again its been 4 days he is not delivering the paper and when i spoke to him he again says he has not got coupons. now tell me either the vebdor is stupid or he feel i am a fool that i keep following up every now and then on his damn excuses.

Please tell me what details do you want from my side and do the need ful at the earliest. This is not the matter of money only; but the matter of trust. That vendor would be doing the same to others also, and minting money. You need to take strict steps to stop all this as it eventually affect your company's reputation

Dear Sirs,

I have been subscribing Hindustan Times since 20 years in Delhi. Recently we shifted to Gurgaon and we came to know that Hindustan Times does not have service to supply newspapers at the same price what we used to get in Delhi.

We used to subscribe for combo pack of Hindustan Times News Paper in Delhi. In Gurgaon, the combo pack is available but the Agent does not give the newspapers at Combo pack rate. The customer should be charged only the Combo Pack rate. The Agent charges the full rate of newspaper. He says that Hindustan Times does not give the supply at Combo Pack rate.

This matter must be investigated. Either Hindustan Times does not pay fair with the customers or his employees are playing foul with the customers or the Agent is unscruplous and should be removed immediately. The customers should get the news paper at announced rate of the Hindustan Times.

Kindly look into the matter and resolve it.

Hi sir, i have booked the news paper for my office by paying 249 rupees by cheque in 2008 but i had not recd the coupon till 6th may 2009 on 7th i have been delivered mint coupon whose expiry date is 16th may 2009, till date i have not recd coupon for ht, i have complained lot of time to mr ravi in charge of kandivali, he said that u will recd the coupon but the result is zero.

So please help me to get the coupon for ht and also tell me about the solution of expiry date

Dear Sir/Madam,

With reference to the above subject, Hindustan Times, stopped issuing newspaper at the above address since March 2009 by the Vendor. The HT staff is quite unco-operative in solving the issue and there is great nexus between Circulation Dept. staff and vendor and they are not ready and willing to solve this issue despite several attempt and follow up.

Kindly direct the HT media Mumbai to put the newspaper for the remaining one year and also pass necessary compensation for the agony I have had face due to the mishandling by the staff.

Please find attachments herewith copy of subscription voucher receipt andother details for your kind reference.

I had paid for subscribing to 2 yrs supply of Mint newspaper in September 2008. The cheque got cleared in October 2008, but till date i have not received my coupon booklets.

I have made more than 50 calls to the call centre people where they acknowledge that they have recd payment and have despatched coupon booklet by courier. But everytime i call them they give me some excuse or the other like house was closed, scheme has been discontinued, we will get back to u, etc or they direct me to some other area manager who again directs me to the customer care centre.

I have even gone to the extent to offering them to pick up the coupons from their office but got a negative response that we r not allowed to disclose the office address and as per policy we despatch coupon thru courier only.

I have no way of getting my money back or gettign the coupons but i m determined to continue to bug them for the coupons

I have not yet trecd the renewal Subscription coupon bearing no. 189856 till date. The subscription is over in Feb 2009. The newspaper vendor is not giving me the papers without the coupon. Kindly sent those to me asap. Please mail me on this mail id - manoj.[protected]@pdmindia.com

I have paid the chq. no. 165250 dated 23.4.2008 for Rs. 195/- for two year subcription
but form the Month of April 2009 the news paper vendor has STOP the subcription due to non submission of monthly Copans .

kindly sort out the issue .

Hi,

This is Prashant Prabhakar Barge
I had subscribed for Hindustan times newspaper coupons.
It has been around 8-9 months since we had provided the cheque of Rs 349 /- to executive name Sunil Kumar Tawari executive code T1X91.

The cheque number is 964692 .It was for abt Rs 349/- of Canara Bank date. 10/08/2008

Since then there has been no news regarding the coupons.
We had complained several times but there is no response from the hindustan times side.event they not return my cheque or not send coupons also although they have my home address

I guess they are cheating the customers.
There will be several customers like me.

I want to know what can be done further.
I want my cheque back or send the coupons of two years

I am aregular reader of HT. with a 2 yr subscription of Rs.195/- wide chq.no. 001356 dated 1-02-08 drawn on IDBI BAnk. But for the last few days I am not getting the supply of the paper under te pretext of no coupon recd. by the delivery boy from HT. I have already spoken to Mr. RAvi whose mobile no. is [protected] Who is supposed to be taking care of the matter with no results so far.Am I at fault by taking a advance subscription and already making payment in advance? if so i think HT should stop such offers to cheat people.
