I bought Hitachi iClean 1.5 Ton a/c 6 months back and it's the worst a/c i come across, I made 3 complaints so for to Hitachi Customer Care, after so many calls they also came and temporarily solved the issue, still it conti...I told them to replace the A/c so for no one has turned and its in warranty for your info, my suggestion here for people his never ever buy Hitachi products...

    I logged a complaint for the service of my AC on 20 may as it was still under warrentyand it was conveyed
    To me that this will be done with in two days ( as they have a TAT) of two days. Today is 10 June and the
    Two days haven't completed. I called and emailed on customer care so many times and the response
    Sir this will be done as soon as possible but as soon as possible hasn't come yet. Never experienced this type of service from such a reputed company.

    The warranty will be over in next two days and I have to go for paid service now.

    Please help and suggest

      My window A C was faulty on 01 June 2013 and i lodge the complaint on same day. The complaint no. is [protected] dt. 01.6.2013 . i lodge reminder daily on [protected] but after 8 days no body attended the complaint . Due to this I & my family facing a lot of problem of HOT WEATHER in day & night .i buy a cooler due to the condition of weather. Now from today my phone call not attended by customer care executive. I think, I am wrong to buy a Hitachi product. If my complaint is not attended then I think for Consumer Court.

      Hitachi — not attending

      we had launched the complaint to hitachi call centre for last 1 mont & for service also.but they are not attending.it is the worst company for services in all companies

      Hitachi — non attendance to complaint for last 3 months

      No response to the following mail sent on 12/2/2011

      Hitachi Field call engineer visited our home for the complaint lodged by us on window A/C catching fire at night when in operation. His visit report is attached herewith.

      We were given complaint no[protected] dated 28/11/2010 and again one more complaint no[protected] dt 7/12/2010 when we were checking on the status of our complaint.

      Till date we do not have any feedback from your esteemed international company.

      I hope your service book highlights with red colour any complaint remaining unresolved for more than 7 days.

      Awaiting your immediate resolution of the complaint.

        Dear Sir/Madam,

        We had purchased a HITACHI 1TON SPLIT AC model Number - RAU412HTD, Chasis No: 130C28050, on 21/04/2013 order No: ORD1401752, from Arcee Electronics - Navi Mumbai Vashi Add - Chadda Crescent, Sector - 17, Navi Mumbai - 400705. for Rs. 25500. This amount is a little too much for a middle class family to spend on a AC but we wanted to go for the best if we are having that's the very reason that we chose HITACHI, but unfortunately, the cooling was not proper, water started dripping and also one fine day on 28th May 2013(just a month completed after we got this AC), there was a red light which was blinking and the AC used to get shut down. It even stopped working on remote.

        We had no choice but to keep the AC off. A have a small child and this time Mumbai experienced summers very bad. I do not have a fan in that room and AC was compulsory. My child used to sit without AC there as the TV was there. Had a very bad experience.Started to call on the numbers provided and Hitachi dial - a- care was pathetic, the representative, named Twinkle was very rude, did not have any knowledge and was not ready to help at all, was very robotic with her reply. Finally I had to contact the place where I got the AC from(Arcee Electronics - Vashi), and they were on their own, asked me to call their service centre at Panvel which I did and there they said that they would send the technician in 2 days, it was already 6 days that I was following up and the response was very poor. Finally a technician arrived at home on 6th June 2013 and then he says I don't know what the problem is. Sounds strange na, if the technician is not aware what the problem is am I supposed to call a plumber????????what are these technicians for. We have a spent a huge amount and this kind of service is PATHETIC. He then tells me, motar is not working and we have to replace the motar. Motar is not working in one months time??????? That means the PIECE WAS FAULTY???????????????? A reputed company like HITACHI doing like this is very sad and strange.

        What kind of help can consumers like us get from youll???? As a consumer, would like the AC to be replaced with a new one or the refund of my amount as soon as possible. Please help me in getting this done and also I would like this complaint to be forwarded to the Country Sales Head of HITACHI. Would not like to continue with a company like HITACHI and would go for a Indian Brand as the brand had not only manufacturing effect but also service and sales wetre very poor.

          This is in regard to Complaint No. [protected] in respect of Hitach Window AC (Kaze plus) purchased on 09.05.13, installed on 10.05.13.

          After installation there was noise in the AC, Inlet outlet lever was jammed and swing was also not working. Person installing the AC asked to wait for 2-3 days and it will work smoothly.

          After that when it was not working satisfactorily complaint was lodged with Hitachi (Complaint No. [protected] dated 22.05.13) to check the noise, , Inlet outlet lever and swing of AC. One technician named ‘Rajan’ phone # XXXXXX2088 came and resolved the complaint partially. Then on 28.05.13 we called customer care no of Hitachi and spoke to Ms Dhara. She assured that complaint is still open and will be attended soon – which apparently never was attended.

          I wonder such a big Brand in FMCG is providing such kind of bad service.

          Can HITACHI do anything to resolve this issue and close this open complaint.

          Does Hitachi at any time checks the status of complaints lodged with them?

            Dear Customer Care

            1. I purchased an HITACHI 1.5 T Window AC from big bazar Sahara mall gurgaon on 26/5/13 with the assurance of delivered a fresh unit but during the time of installation big bazaar installation guys found some parts missing and the outer shell was dented. I called back to Big bazaar(Basudev) and they promissed me for the replacement of this AC unit. Each time i called they gave me false promise and on 30/5/2013 they came up with so called new AC unit but when they open it they themself found that this new unit is also dented all around and suggested me to take missing part and keep the old unit as that one is in better condition.

            2. Can something be done about this,I will give 24 hours to you office as given in your site before I take any legal action on the same.

              I bought a Hitachi Refrigerator on 19 Jan 13 (Ser No [protected]; Model No RSG 37 BPND GBK, 438 Litres). Since then the refrigerator has been troubling. Earlier we were told that it cools only to the extent desired. Now what is the extent desired. The least is _ IT SHOULD COOL. Complaint lodged in April - superficially attended; again complained lodged on 28 May (Complaint No [protected]) , problem not resolved. Repeated complaints lodged on Hitachi website (customer care) - no response heard. Seems the piece is faulty which Hitachi does not acknowledge.
              Their service engineers are very rude & cut calls, do not reply back & so on.
              One Service Engineer says that the piece needs to be replaced, other says everything is fine. Fact is that the refrigerator does not cool at all.
              Through this message can I expect some action against Hitachi.

              Hitachi — coolness

              I have a hitachi split ac since 2-3 months which i have purchased from Bharat Electronics and I m not at al satisfied with its cooling and working, a cooler will be a much better option. Hitachi is known for its brand name but i m regreting putting a hitachi product and i have complained many times in its service center to MR PRINCE but no proper action has been taken. i hope this complain is worth wile and some action will be taken as soon as posible or else i will have to take some other serious action.

                  Hitachi AC not cooling

                  Worst service from the most reputed & expensive air-conditioner manufacturer today in Indian market.

                  Hitachi is probably one of the most expensive AC in the market. It is claimed to be most trust worthy and best service company.

                  It is all false.

                  I also fell for these marketing lies.

                  The ac is not cooling in the heat of delhi. It needs "good weather" to give good cooling...

                  Sub: Service request number [protected] - Cheating in the name of providing service by your authorized service agency AIRCON.


                  I had registered a service request number [protected] for my Hitachi Quadricool TM AC(I.5 ton) on account of "Low Cooling" through your customer care call centre.

                  As per the information given at the time of making the request, I was informed that Hitachi service representative will contact me within eight hours. However when no one contacted me for "forty eight" hours I re contacted the call center which assured me that a reminder would be sent.

                  Thereafter I was contacted and a service engineer named Ashok from your designated service provider for Rohini/ Pitampura, Delhi visited my residence on May 22nd. '13. Upon examining the AC he told my wife that one of the twin motors (the one at the back) was not working so would have to be changed, and that he would come the next day with a new motor to replace the faulty one. A cost of Rupees three thousand eight hundred approximately was informed to her, after which they would also check for "refrigerant gas" leakage, which may involve additional cost. My wife made him speak to me and I asked him to come on Saturday(25th) to which he agreed. The applicable technician visit charge of Rs.330 which we had been informed by the call center as payable was duly paid by my wife but no receipt was given to her.

                  When the service engineer came on Saturday, I asked him for the new motor. The motor shown to me was a "reconditioned" one. I refused to accept the motor. The service engineer then made me speak to someone at his service centre, who tried to convince me that he had sent a new motor. I told him that I very well knew the difference between a new motor and a reconditioned one since I was earlier in the business of exporting motors for "washing machines". I informed him that I would accept a motor only in a sealed pack which would have to be opened in my presence. Thereafter the person at the service centre and the service engineer had a brief conversation after which the service engineer informed me that he had a part which they would put and try to start the faulty motor. After some time they were able to start the motor and the AC started functioning. I would only know whether the fault has been actually repaired, once I put the AC to prolonged use, for which I will send my feedback separately.

                  I found out from the service engineer that the agency he was working for was named "AIRCON". Now I would like to know the following from you.

                  1. Are these unethical practices accepted as part of Hitachi's customer service.

                  2. What steps are you going to take for stopping such fleecing of your customers by your service centres.

                  3. This need not be an isolated case, so there need to be some procedure for obtaining direct feedback from the customers by Hitachi, similar to what Maruti Suzuki (which is also a Japanese company) has. Every time I get my car serviced, the dealer hands me a feedback form which has to be sent directly to Maruti Suzuki.

                  4. No receipt has been issued for the service charge of Rs.330 paid by my wife. In such a case how do you get feedback on the resolution of the service request. In my particular case, you will only come to know if I communicate, otherwise there is no other means.

                  An email has been sent on this matter to your customer care mail id- [protected]@hitachi-hli.com on 25/05/2013, but there has been no acknowledgement of my mail. Is this the usual way of treating customer complaints.

                  I hope to hear from you at the earliest on this matter, failing which I will take up this matter with the appropriate consumer authorities, as there has been a definite attempt to cheat me, which was averted only on account of my alertness.

                    Dear Sir,


                    I had purchased one 1.5 ton Hitachi Window AC from TATA Chroma Stores, Pacific Mall, Ghaziabad in the year 2011.


                    2. Recently when I noticed that the cooling was not desirable, I lodged a complaint (Ref No. [protected]) at the call centre (Tel:[protected] on 30th April, 2013.


                    3. Shri Furkan Ali, the service engineer visited my residence on 1/5/13. After checking he confirmed that the machine was working properly. The problem is that of gas leakage. The AC was taken to AB Enterprises for gas filling on the same day. The very next day it was installed. Shri Kaushal Sharma, the service personnel, who came to install the AC, found that it was not working. He told me that the motor and fan was not working and I will have to buy a new one. He later on told me that the panel was not working and that he had indented for one from the company which is awaited.


                    4. I contacted Shri Ajay ([protected]) at AB Workshop and also Shri Kaushal Sharma ([protected]) who is handling this case, on several occasion but could not get satisfactory reply.


                    5. On 14.5.13, I lodged a fresh complaint (No. [protected]) at the call center. One Shri Khan attended the complain and confirmed that motor and fan is not working.


                    6. It may be noted that the AC was in working condition when it was first checked by Shri Ali. The motor/fan was perfectly working. The service engineer detected the problem of gas leakage only. But when the AC was brought back from the workshop, the motor and fan were also not working. It is therefore clear that any fault that has now cropped up is only due to mishandling of the machine at your workshop or during transportation for which only the company is responsible. Since the machine is not working, it cannot be confirmed whether the job of gas filing was done properly.


                    7. The workshop is just evading its responsibility. Interestingly, no one is asking for the payment regarding filling up of gas.


                    8. I would therefore, request that whatever be the problem the same may be attended on priority at your own cost. I will pay the cost of gas filling only.


                    9. The AC is lying idle for 15 days now. In case this is not attended on priority, I will have no option but to seek legal remedy.

                    A.c — complaint against A.C

                    Dear Sir

                    This is for your kind information that we have lodged complaint agaist the non functioning of A.C's on date 16 may & 17 may respectively.
                    Our comlaint no.s are n9c51705285, n9c51705312 & n9c51705312.The result of the visit o[censored]r engineers is zero as explained by them that pcb's are defected and these are not readily available, reqiurements has been forwarded to the concerned office, arrival time can not be confirmed
                    The temprature in Panchkulais 44 to 45. This is the time when proper functioning of A.C is reqired for your information these A.C's machines are installed at a commercial place where non functioning/improper functioning is effecting the walkin of clients. The organisation is suffering finacial losses. it is therefore requested to visit our premises & make the parts available immidiateley to avoid the inconvienience

                      I have purchase hitachi window air conditioner last year on .7.6.12. Registered mobile No. [protected].Address R-30, Vani Vihar Uttam Nagar New Delhi-110059 from DIGI World ,Address A-29, Nagafgarh Road ,Uttam Nagr ,New Delhi-59.

                      Company providing 3 free services with in 1 year for the same product, from the last week i have complaint 2 times but there is no response from complaint department .
                      As per your customer care they provide services with in 48 hr but now 1 week have been left but there is no response from the service department .
                      pls provide the service as soon as possible

                        Hi I purchased Hitachi Split 1.5 ton AC on 22nd may 2013 from Walia Electronics Rohtash Nagar Shahdara delhi Tel-[protected] contact person .Perminder singh and it was installed at home on 23rd may but since it installed, AC is not giving cooling and working like a normal 2000rs cost cooler. On the same day I logged a complaint to hitachi cust care and they had promised me that any executive will visit and it will be replaced.

                        Neither anyone came not called me.however I asked installation guy to come check the installation, he came, checked and told me that installation is perfect, but product is defective.so now neither dealer giving and response nor hitachi cust service.

                        I called hitachi head office +[protected] and a lady gave me patparganj service center no,,[protected],15,29 ,,I Kept calling these numbers upto hours and when i spoke to any executive, he disconnected the call after hearing the complaint twice.

                        My family is facing lots of problem as we stay at 4th floor and the heat is very high over there.

                        I request you to please look into these metters and get the ac replaced soon.

                          Dear Sir,

                          I the undersigned, had purchased Hitachi 1.5 ton A.C on the 23.5.2013 from your opera house branch,Mumbai. Installation was done by carpenters and not by trained technicians from Hitachi.
                          Still, till date, proper demonstration from Hitachi is pending from your end.

                          We had also negotiated for buy back of our old A.C for Rs.3000/- , which was in working or non-working condition as stated to us.
                          Your sales manager, Mr.Yogesh, disturbed us on 25.5.2013 at 9.12pm from the following number :[protected], stating that the old A.C was without a compressor.
                          We from our end very politely replied to him that what ever the case may be, I will speak to my A.C mechanic in Mumbai and get back to you on the same.
                          We also offered him that incase of any discrepancy we will make the full payment of Rs.3000/- and settle the matter.
                          Still Mr.Yogesh was very rude and threatened us saying "Hum dekh lenge."
                          He also further added that he would barge into our house tomorrow and take away the new A.C.

                          We from our end, Mr.Bomi F Irani (father) and myself, have always been your valued customers. We have all our home appliances purchased through vijay sales which can be verified by you from your records. We never expected such rude and intolerable behavior from your senior sales personnel Mr.Yogesh adding to which he slammed the phone in mid conversation while talking to a loyal customer.

                          We request you to kindly look into our above grievance and prompt action from your end will be highly appreciated.

                            Dear Mr. Iizuka

                            Amazed at the services of Hitachi, my complaints seem to be landing on deaf ears, more than a year has passed, the machines are now out of warranty, while the irony of the fact is that one air con is yet to be installed, however, the air conditioners refuse to run, on contacting the local service manager one is directed to the call centre which inturn says that it is over loaded and you need to register your complaint online, technology this time seems to be working in favour of the manufactures instead of the customer. Who has done everything under the sun in the last 15 months to get his problems resolved,

                            I am shocked and pained that inspite of my mail dated April 17, 2012 ( over 78 days my problems remain unresolved,) I am writing this mail to you at 2.17 IST because I and my family cannot sleep , as the airconditioners supplied by you do not function, I am on my part marking a copy of this mail to all media so that their readers cannot be made fools of by buying your products, even more surprising is that no one from your so called esteemed organisation has even bothered to get in touch with a customer who is as pained as I am,

                            While I write this email, my family is sleeping on the terrace and I intend sleeping in car with the air con on

                            Disillusioned with Hitachi Products & Services

                            We bought 9 Logicool Brand 1.5 TR Split Air Conditioners directly from your esteemed company.

                            The Purchase details of the Air conditioners are as follows :

                            These machines were installed in the new residence of the undersigned who is a director of the company.


                            As the residence was in the various phases of construction over last year, the Air conditioners were installed in phases hence, you find multiple purchase dates of the same. While I write this letter 2 Units are yet to be installed.


                            The Machines have been put to use now with the onset of summers in Agra, since the last fortnight or so and have a plethora of problems, some landed up with broken fans, blown up circuits, and most importantly very poor and erratic cooling by all of them. One Unit has been removed for Refrigerant Leakage and in the middle of our living room are two protruding pipes from the wall, a Hitachi piece de art!!!


                            With the ambient temperature still hovering around 35 ⁰ C the machines have already buckled up. Their Grille temperatures are varying from 11⁰ C to 21 ⁰ C!! I shudder at the thought when Agra clocks 48⁰ C ~ 50⁰ C.


                            Your local team at Agra have really not been able address the problems.


                            You will kindly appreciate that these Air Conditioners are installed at a residence and technicians walking in and out of a home perpetually is causing a lot of stress and agony to the entire family, moreover, there are issues where the technicians while working have ruined newly painted walls of a house which I am sure you will again appreciate is a major grey area for the lady of the house. These machines which were bought for the comfort of a family are actually causing a lot of hardship to them and I have been repeatedly asked time and again by them to replace them with another brand notwithstanding the losses which will be incurred in the process.



                            I am writing this letter of agony to the highest level in a hope that my problems will be redressed at the earliest.

                              I resides in delhi I purchased a Hitachi AC and my complaint no. is [protected], I lodged a complaint on 6th of May of this month but my problem hasn't resolved till now. I regularly called to kirti nagar office but noone response there and also at dwarka at united refrigeration but noone had called me till now and problem remains the same.The engineer they sent was untrained and they poured water in its motor...

                              pls look into the matter on urgent basis.......

                                i purchaed a hitachi air conditionar near about 2 yrs ago and after it our air conditionar front grill made of plastic was braked and air filter was also damaged and after it i use to complaint in hitachi company many times but there was no respone from dem my air conditionar model no is RAV019EMDZ1 air conditionar it was having two blower grill and the and we made the complaint 2 times on toll free no and they had given us compaint no also no response from that side also c complaint no is [protected] date 23 april 2013 there is no action taken by the company members and i m so much tired from this company no one is listening my complaints and i am not even getting good response from them . we also comlaint in hisar service centre nearby our city bt from there also we got the response.

                                please help me against it.

                                  This is Ankur Verma.
                                  I had purchased Hitachi split AC 1.5 ton Kaze model from Shah outlet, Chrompet Chennai on 12.05.13
                                  Since I am a working professional, had asked to install AC on 18.05.13 or 19.0513 (on weekends)
                                  Regarding this I had contacted many times but nobody came from Hitachi for the installation…Even after the several follow-ups it is not yet done..
                                  After all this frustration when I finally agreed to install on Monday(20.0513), I was told by them that they will visit after 5:00PM…But again nobody came and even they don’t have the courtesy to inform me…

                                  Kindly tell me is this kind of service is provided by the company to all customers or I am the special one….
                                  I was not expecting this at least from Hitachi…. This is something irresistible…

                                    Myself Sanjay Gupta, resident of FB-194, Lajpat Nagar, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad wants to register a complaint that I had taken the AMC from HITACHI HOME & LIFE SOLUTION (INDIA) LTD, B-43, SECTOR-65, NOIDA dated on 3.03.2013 for two window air conditioners against Cash memo no. 54100 & 53121 for Rs. 3309/- each (Rs.6618/-). Their executives names were Mr. Vinod and their Mobile numbers were [protected].They had taken the cash amount from us. They were coming with the Hitachi Noida Branch’s Tag and they had given us the Service Contract Copy with a stamp of Hitachi Noida Branch. Now they are saying that both the executive are not working with Hitachi and they had done a fraud with you. So my complaint is that I am using the Hitachi air conditioners from last six years. I want to know where the fault of mine is being a customer. If this things occurred by a big company like Hitachi then who will trust on Hitachi. I had spoken with Hitachi Hyderabad branch so many times but they are not ready to assume that the fault is at the Hitachi part. In this case, the company is totally responsible for the fraud making by their executive because a customer can identify the executive by I- Card and stamp of the company. So why should I bear the cost? This is my humble request is to look into it seriously and take the early action in this matter. Your early action in this matter will be highly appreciated.

                                      i have purchased hitachi split ac model no. ras318htdd from garg electronics sardulgarh on dated 16/05/2013 i am not satisfied from the product due to low cooling as compared to others the services provided by hitachi is very much poor as compared to carrier. plz replace the unit as soon as possible or get back the unit.
