Honda 2 Wheelers India — bike with defective engine and none of the issue was solved 1-[protected] & 1-[protected] (consumer complaint # 501865.)

Hi Team,

Myself Sadanala Vijaya Rama Chandara Rao, Who work in an MNC in MindSpace Madhapur. Coming to my issue After several years of dream and hard work i want to buy a Bike and i have chosen Honda Hornet 160R and bought it on July 11th 2016 2 Pratul Honda, Erragadda, Hyderabad. When I decided to buy Blue color Honda Hornet 160R showroom people said we have only one piece and took me to their basement and shown a Fully DUSTY bike, I questioned them why you are giving this kind of product for a new customer they said something and convinced me, But later while they try to start the bike it was not starting and it took almost 45 minutes with Engine Loud sound some what like Auto Riskhaw. I didn't agreed to buy that, but they again convinced me and told that after 1st servicing it will be good and trusted them and at last took it from show room to my home.

From then on wards i faced so many issues and went to show room countless time and came with no solution. After 1st servicing no effect and after 2nd servicing it became very very worst i remember a incident that everyone is seeing my bike because of that sound from Engine. I took to showroom again and they opened engine (Kept bike almost a week), changed some parts but they didn't show any proof for that, I just trusted them and took my bike after one week and but no use at all. To be frank it became worst after 2nd servicing only. From the to till date they took my bike 5-6 time to showroom and kept for 2-3 days each time but no solution and at that period only wile servicing they put a big scratch near Honda Logo (Questioned them but no answer) and they said gear box error, piston error, engine part error etc but till now no solution. I just trusted them and rode this defective bike almost 7 months. But i can't wait no more really I invested 95k on this and you people provided me a product that was defective. At the time of buying this bike i came with my family and my brother. My brother who saw this and fed up with this issue and ready to file a consumer case. But i stopped him and drafting you a mail. I don't this bike at all you please take it away and fix the solution or replace it. If you can't we will go legally. I will mention all my problems below.

1) Engine sound's like Auto Rikshaw OR like KAT KAT KAT.
2) At 1st 2nd 3rd gears sound becomes more.
3) No pickup from beginning and when i reach 55-60 it vibrates near legs.
4) No engine smoothness (Smoothness which we commonly see in Honda Bikes)
5) While i ride this bike even 125cc bike pass me smoothly but this one goes very hardly that to its 160cc.

Note that they said once these Hornet bikes sound like this only and tried to convince me but before i buy this bike my friend Koushik bough same kind of bike and rode that more than 2k Kms, after that only i decided to buy this bike rather than going to Yamaha FZ 2.0 and even checked with my office colleagues new bike (New strip edition) and later came to know that they are trying to cheat me.

Meanwhile after 2nd servicing i wrote a mail to Honda service also, after sending that mail only they responded and took my bike 5-6 times.

If you respond and want to take my bike for examining please don't take it to Pratul Honda Erragadda.

Hope you resolve my issue and before we go legally. I just thought in your point of view and didn't went legally because a business is business and you must satisfy you customer with you products & services you provide. Please try to understand from my point of view it my first bike each every rupee which i invested is from my hard work. I just trusted your service and staff and rode this defective bike for 7 Month and i went show room several times.

Hi Team,

This is regarding my bike which was came to me as Manufacturing Defect and i have send many mails to you guys and went to showroom many times. Last time they have changed a part in Bike after 5 days bike started abnormal sound as it used to come from begining and even smoke from silencer, I can't understand why smoke is coming after i rode it 7000 KMs only and i was fed up and decided to leave my bike there and keep a consumer case and Normal case. They came and took my on 15th April and i went there next day and the mechanic, Manager and showroom incharge tied to convince me that there is no abnormal sound and smoke coming. Myself and my dad got angry and asked him to bring bike when the bike started smoke coming immediately. When i questioned them and mechanic, they don't have answers and even that manager also not even to answer my question and suggested that dont scold Mechanic. So me and my dad decided to leave bike there and returned by saying them that we will keep case. I am confident enough that even others also said that bike was given to me is Manufacturing defect so we went to my brother who is and High Court Lawyer and he suggested to keep case and even my elder brother who works in Media also spoke with them. From the beginning when i bought this bike i was continuously going to showrooms for several times and when i asked them to send details of my bike when i have given my bike to them they have send me only 8 time but i have given the more than 10 times. with in 8 months i have went more than 10 time to showroom.

I don't need that bike as off now and i need replacement to be done, if you can't i can go legally with Consumer Court, Media and My brothers assurance from High court. I am having each and every proof and even the CC Camera in Showroom can also see when i bike came and went. I think this is the 5th time i am send you people a mail regarding my Bike. You can search your records for your reference.

Attachment for your reference. I don't know for a new bike they have changed so many parts and several times and below mails for your reference.

I can't even write each and every thing in mail and this is not the right way to treat a customer by coming to your showroom several times. I have trusted you and bought 2nd product from your company and this is what you have given me. I have invested over 1 lakh for this and not even used satisfyingly once also in 8-9 months.

Hi Honda Team,

Myself Vijay Sadanala from Hyderabad, I was fond of bike from my childhood and at last i owned my first Bike as Honda CB Hornet 160R after seeing all positive reviews and research. I bough my bike on July 2016 from the day one they delivered bike the engine sound is horrible when compared to ALL OTHER Honda Hornet 160R Bikes. I asked the dealer trice while doing servicing. If you respond me I would explain you everything or else you can contact me.

It would be very appreciated if you give me quick response and resolve my bike issue. Before i am a big Fan of Honda Bikes and now i was not all satisfied with my first bike, Because they have delivered me a defective one with No Pick Up, Loud Engine Sound, Vibration when it goes 40 Km and Some Scratches. I asked them about all these issues but they are saying cock and bull stories every time. I need a good service or else do anything that i need my bike good as new one. Try to understand that its my first bike and kept 96, 000/- INR.

Please find the details of the Honda Dio.
The Engine over heated/ over noise/ sudden witched off/could not run above 30km speed. if exceed off road. Service provider not properly serviced. Now the vehicle off road. Request replacement of engine.

I can to say agathi Honda my digital glass will be Barack automatically but they can't solving my problem .they say that it is not problem... and Honda unicorn 160 Will be held 2 service but engine should be more heating...
Please provide the engine kill switch to the hornet 160. And also improve smoothness of the rear suspension.please provide engine switch...please
