Dear Sir,
My friend was traveling in my car Honda Amaze From chennai towards Bangalore on January 1st, 2017 after attending US Visa interview in chennai, near perumugai before Vellore while normal driving the car stopped at 9:30PM with the symptoms of smoke inside the car, he and his wife immediately came out of the car and informed Honda company through customer care, latter the car was toed to the Balaji Honda (nearest honda service center). and then My friend and his wife at 11:30PM had to take a bus and reach Bangalore.
Next day, this car was inspected by the Honda service people and I was informed that the car had internally fired and some parts including Fly wheels, Clutch plates, bearings and so on got damaged worth 35, 000 rs
I initiated for my insurance (iffco tokio), and also produced all the documents and all the facts about the incident.
Insurance company rejected the claim as this incident will not be covered as per the policy for wear and tear items.
This is a new car which has run less than 25K KMs, I do periodic service only at Honda service centers as advised by Honda, till my last service there were no reports of warning about any parts that needs changes. There is no chance of mishandling of this car at any point of time.
I had informed the same to Honda top management through emails attaching the parts of burnt photos.
we pay so much every year towards insurance, why the insurance policy is not supporting this accident where I am totally innocent of the happenings ?
Why Honda is not taking responsibilities of this incident?
my friend is a program manager in a MNC and his wife is Doctor in Bangalore. they both were under pressure to get out of this risk situation, who is responsible for this inconvenience occurred,
I am forced to pay 35, 500 rs towards these spar parts, I am helpless here ..
Honda customer relation blames on the user for the product failure. Even after sharing the burnt pictures of the spar parts and clarifying my innocence.
Honda Cars India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
