I noticed hand brake & abs lights were on in dash board while driving in aug 2018 for about 2 or 3 mins & disappeared. Further during my regular service in nov 2018, i reported the same to the service partner & they could not find any thing on the problem addressed.
The same defect appeared while driving in jan 2019 and disappeared. It repeated thrice in between jan & may 2019.in may 2019, when i left the vehicle for service and i insisted the service provider to check the issue & correct the same.
They used their their diagnostic tool and reported the problem as wires jamming & reported as corrected. They did not mention anything about the abs modulator defect. The vehicle was kept for three days with them to sort out the issue.
Again the problem appeared in july 2019 and in aug 2019. When i was on the way to my house in kanakapura road where we service my vehicle in magnum honda, i approached the service station with live problem & showed the problem to them. Since they told me that it would take more than 4 hours to diagnose the issue, i took the vehicle back.
Now when i left the vehicle for service on 21st nov, 2019, i explained about the problem. Service engineer reported that the fault was noticed in abs modulator & recommended to replace the modulator costing approximately rs. 25000/-.
My argument is,
1. Why, the root cause for this problem was not identified properly since the vehicle has even completed 40, 000kms run.
2. Why the modulator defect was not diagnosed properly and reported as corrections done in may 2019.
3. Why modulator fails within 40000 kms of run.
4. Any vehicle has a life more than 200000 kms run and these are not wornout parts or like electrical or rubber items.
Honda is meant for quality products, but in this case it has totally failed.
Honda Cars India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
